  • Visual C# 2010 MSVCR100.dll missing when opening a project...tried EVERYTHING!

    I installed Visual C# 2010 Beta 2 and I get this error every time I open a project: 'This application has failed to start because MSVCR100.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix the problem' I uninstalled every VC runtime, .NET framework, C# on this computer. Then reinstalled Visual C# 2010 and the install went smoothly. Then I ran Microsoft Update. Still the same problem when I open a project. The project was created with VC# 2008. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit. Any idea how to fix this? I could only find people with the same problem while trying to Uninstall VS2010 and use a previous version.

  • Is there a simple way for opening one (or many) opengl window in mac OS X with C++ ?

    Yes, I hate Objective-c, plus my project will be portable, so I'd like to code as much of it in C++ as possible, ideally 100%. So I have a regular C++ project made with Xcode, and want to open some OpenGL windows. edit: Damn, Glut takes over the app's control with glutMainLoop(), pretty much as SDL does, I'm trying to break free from that schemes. Will try freeglut, although I can't find OSX binaries, and I always have such bad luck trying to compile someone else's code.

  • PHP site keeps opening to blank page, no errors.

    First, the premises: PHP loaded on IIS6 on Win2003 STD R2 SP2, PHP_5213 using FastCGI, MySQL_5145. Customer sent me the site files, which I unzipped to C:\InetPub\wwwroot\<site root>, then I created a new site in IIS, pointed to <site root>, added test.php to the site files for testing and it works, but visiting index.php produces a blank page with no errors. The readme.txt file present makes reference to application.php and explains root folder var and sets it to a non-existent file. I don't know PHP syntax, but I tried several logical changes with zero results. At this point I'm not even sure if that is the problem anymore. With PHP, MySQL & site debugging have put in over 20 hours. Still confused, I have resorted to heavy drug use and purchased a small firearm, loaded with a single round (even this seemed to take an inordinate amount of time). I've given up all hope. Someone please help save a new server and/or old administrator.

    Hey I have this program that has been working fine until I tried to open this one wav file? Not sure what the problem is or that I understand it? Do I need to find a new component to use for this file or what? I am using Delphi 4 Pro and the standard VCL component for Media Player. I am looking for a good new component that offers more help with wav and mp3 files too but not found what I am looking for yet?

  • Popup window keeps opening after I close it and refresh the page?

    I have an aspx.cs page with the following code: hypPopup.Attributes.Add("onclick", "window.open('Popup.aspx', '', 'height=650, width=800, location=no, toolbar=no, status=no, scrollbars=yes, resizable=yes'); return false" ); When I click the hypPopup link, the window pops up which is fine, but if I close it and refresh the page, the popup keeps popping up. I have to leave the page and come back for it to stop popping up on every refresh. Is this behavior by default or is there a fix to it? hypPopup.Attributes.Add is done in the Page_Load

    I need to be able to mimic 'tail -f' with Java. I'm trying to read a log file as it's being written by another process, but when I open the file to read it, it locks the file and the other process can't write to it anymore. Any help would be greatly appreciated!     Hi there, I'm a C++ developer wrestling with updating an application that had made extensive use of the IStorage interface to open pre-Office 2007 documents from in-memory storage (via ILockBytes). If you are still following me so far, you probably know that the new Office Document formats are incompatible with IStorage containers. The application I'm trying to update, relied upon the IPersistStorage interface that all Office applications have, and the code as written calls the load method of IPersistStorage to read in a document from IStorage interface.   • ACCESS 2003 Excel 2003 : VBA for opening Excel file from Access and copying a pictre from excel the

    So I have an excel workbook that has a nice global map of shaperange objects. With some very simple code I can change the colors, group and ungroup collections of countries into arrays, etc...and it works pretty well. However, I would like to bring this into Access. So I could copy and paste all the shapes into an access form manually, but then they become pictures and I cannot change the colors of the countries (shaperange objects) to have the map act interactively as I can in excel. So I am thinking that I know how to use excel functions from access, and how to open excel from access. Is there a way to copy an object from excel (I know the file name and the shape name that i mean to copy everytime), and bringing it back to access to paste on a form? Atypical, I know, all my Access questions are. Thanks!

  • When opening a file in perl, how can I automatically use STDIN/OUT if the file name is "-"?

    I have a perl program that takes input and output file arguments, and I'd like to support the convention of using "-" to specify standard input/output. The problem is that I can't just open the file name, because open(my $input, '<', '-') opens a file called -, not standard input. So I have to do something like this: my $input_fh; if ($input_filename eq '-') { # Special case: get the stdin handle $input_fh = *STDIN{IO}; } else { # Standard case: open the file open($input_fh, '<', $input_filename); } And similarly for the output file. Is there any way to do this without testing for the special case myself? I know I could hack the ARGV filehandle to do this for input, but that won't work for output.

  • What can be the reason for Windows error ERROR_DISK_FULL (112) when opening a NTFS alternate data st

    My application writes some bytes of data to an alternate data stream. This works fine on all but one machine (Windows Server 2003 SP2). Instead, CreateFile returns ERROR_DISK_FULL when I try to create an alternate data stream (on the root directory). I don't find the reason for this result, because... There's plenty of space on that drive. The drive is NTFS formatted (due to GetVolumeInformation). The drive supports altenate data streams (due to GetVolumeInformation). Edit: I can provide some more information about what the reason not is: I added many streams on a test system which didn't show the error and wondered if the error might occur. It didn't. Instead after about 2000 Streams with long file names another error occurred and persisted: 1450 (ERROR_NO_SYSTEM_RESOURCES). EDIT: Here is an example for one of the used file names: char szStreamFileName[] = "C:\\:abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz1234567890abcdefghijklmnoqrstuvwxyz012345"; EDIT: Our customer uses some corporate antivirus software from Avira on this server. Maybe this is the reason (Alternate data streams can be abused by malware).

I use a low-level keyboard hook to capture keys and also prevent them from taking action, e.g. the Windows key, but the Alt key still comes through and makes my textbox lose focus. How can I block the Alt key, so the focus is kept unaltered at my textbox?

  • How to navigate through folders without opening a new buffer in Emacs?

    (I don't know if it is important, but I am using Aquamacs - and yeah, I am a newbie) When I want to open a file I use C-x C-f and usually just chose my home folder. From there I go clicking on folders until I find the file I want. I really don't like thought that each new file I open creates a new buffer. This is especially annoying because I am using Aquamacs with the window (tab) option enabled. I know I could simply get rid of the window option, but I quite like it, except of course for when I open a file and a zillion tabs are created. So my question is: is there a way to disable the new buffer creation when "navigating" through folders? Thanks :)

  • C++ - Opening a file inside a function using fopen. (Noob problem)

    I am using Visual Studio 2005 (C++). I am passing a string into a function as a char array. I want to open the file passed in as a parameter and use it. I know my code works to an extent, because if I hardcode the filename as the first parameter it works perfectly. I do notice if I look at the value as a watch, the value includes the address aside the string literal. I have tried passing in the filename as a pointer, but it then complains about type conversion with __w64. As I said before it works fine with "filename.txt" in place of fileName.   • What issues might I have in opening .NET 2.0 Projects in Visual Studio 2010?

    The small software team I work on recently got approved to upgrade to Visual Studio 2010 (we're currently using VS 2005). We have several ASP.NET 2.0 and WinForms (in .NET 2.0) projects in production. I've been tasked with downloading VS 2010 and seeing how well it plays with our current projects. What issues should I be aware of when targeting older applications in VS 2010? If I open a VS 2005 project in VS 2010, will it still place nicely when my teammate goes back to open the project in VS 2005? Will we have to upgrade projects to work in VS 2010 (assuming the projects themselves aren't upgraded to .NET 4)? Can I use VS 2010 to edit legacy VB6 apps (just kidding)? I'm excited to work with the newest software, but we're concerned about running into development snags on production applications that are already working just fine. NOTE: I started a bounty in hopes of getting a more detailed answer to this question. Perhaps the answer really is as simple as those already provided, but I'm interested in more feedback regarding our options to transition from using VS 2005 to VS 2010.

  • Visual Studio 2008 hangs while opening aspx/ascx file.

    Hi all! I've issue with VS08. I've got Web Application project (vb.net). Whenever I try to open an aspx or ascx (in Source view - just double clicking on Solution Explorer) the file opens, but VS hangs and is not responding. The only way to restart VS is then by killing it's process. And it happens all the time with these types of files. :/ Reinstall didn't work. In addition, the only plugin I've installed with this instance of VS is ClearCase source control plugin.

    Hi All, I am developing a web-app where I want to provide a download link to users - so they can download a zip file from my server. Now, my requirement is that I want to execute some processing logic contained in a servlet before displaying the file dialog to the user for 'zip' files. So If I write <a href="abc.zip".......> then it opens a file dialog asking the user to select the location where this file can be saved But if I want a servlet's doGet method to do some preprocessing - say like building the zip file , then how can I first call the servlet and then open the file dialog.     Is there any way to remove the contents of an file in php, do we have any php command that does that, I know unlink but I do not want to delete the file instead I just want to remove the contents of that file. I have an file which I pass while called a getCurrentDBSnap function, it takes in the file from /home/test/incoming folder and populates currentDB table state into the file using fputcsv and puts back file to /home/test/outgoing. Currently file stays in incoming folder and when I can call the function getCurrentDBSnap it would take the file and override with latest state of DB into it. Q: My question is, is it possible instead of overwriting the file, we can remove the content of file after ever getCurrentDBSnap such that file in incoming folder would be always empty ? Hope it makes sense :)
