  • Help with Nicedit - removeFormat function

    - by Franck
    Hello, I'm trying to get around Nicedit, and especially the "removeFormat" function. The problem is I cannot find the "removeFormat" method source code in the code below. The JS syntax looks strange to me. Can someone help me ? /* NicEdit - Micro Inline WYSIWYG * Copyright 2007-2008 Brian Kirchoff * * NicEdit is distributed under the terms of the MIT license * For more information visit http://nicedit.com/ * Do not remove this copyright message */ var bkExtend = function(){ var A = arguments; if (A.length == 1) { A = [this, A[0]] } for (var B in A[1]) { A[0][B] = A[1][B] } return A[0] }; function bkClass(){ } bkClass.prototype.construct = function(){ }; bkClass.extend = function(C){ var A = function(){ if (arguments[0] !== bkClass) { return this.construct.apply(this, arguments) } }; var B = new this(bkClass); bkExtend(B, C); A.prototype = B; A.extend = this.extend; return A }; var bkElement = bkClass.extend({ construct: function(B, A){ if (typeof(B) == "string") { B = (A || document).createElement(B) } B = $BK(B); return B }, appendTo: function(A){ A.appendChild(this); return this }, appendBefore: function(A){ A.parentNode.insertBefore(this, A); return this }, addEvent: function(B, A){ bkLib.addEvent(this, B, A); return this }, setContent: function(A){ this.innerHTML = A; return this }, pos: function(){ var C = curtop = 0; var B = obj = this; if (obj.offsetParent) { do { C += obj.offsetLeft; curtop += obj.offsetTop } while (obj = obj.offsetParent) } var A = (!window.opera) ? parseInt(this.getStyle("border-width") || this.style.border) || 0 : 0; return [C + A, curtop + A + this.offsetHeight] }, noSelect: function(){ bkLib.noSelect(this); return this }, parentTag: function(A){ var B = this; do { if (B && B.nodeName && B.nodeName.toUpperCase() == A) { return B } B = B.parentNode } while (B); return false }, hasClass: function(A){ return this.className.match(new RegExp("(\s|^)nicEdit-" + A + "(\s|$)")) }, addClass: function(A){ if (!this.hasClass(A)) { this.className += " nicEdit-" + A } return this }, removeClass: function(A){ if (this.hasClass(A)) { this.className = this.className.replace(new RegExp("(\s|^)nicEdit-" + A + "(\s|$)"), " ") } return this }, setStyle: function(A){ var B = this.style; for (var C in A) { switch (C) { case "float": B.cssFloat = B.styleFloat = A[C]; break; case "opacity": B.opacity = A[C]; B.filter = "alpha(opacity=" + Math.round(A[C] * 100) + ")"; break; case "className": this.className = A[C]; break; default: B[C] = A[C] } } return this }, getStyle: function(A, C){ var B = (!C) ? document.defaultView : C; if (this.nodeType == 1) { return (B && B.getComputedStyle) ?   • Seeking for faster $.(':data(key)')

    - by PoltoS
    I'm writing an extension to jQuery that adds data to DOM elements using el.data('lalala', my_data); and then uses that data to upload elements dynamically. Each time I get new data from the server I need to update all elements having el.data('lalala') != null; To get all needed elements I use an extension by James Padolsey: $(':data(lalala)').each(...); Everything was great until I came to the situation where I need to run that code 50 times - it is very slow! It takes about 8 seconds to execute on my page with 3640 DOM elements var x, t = (new Date).getTime(); for (n=0; n < 50; n++) { jQuery(':data(lalala)').each(function() { x++; }); }; console.log(((new Date).getTime()-t)/1000); Since I don't need RegExp as parameter of :data selector I've tried to replace this by var x, t = (new Date).getTime(); for (n=0; n < 50; n++) { jQuery('*').each(function() { if ($(this).data('lalala')) x++; }); }; console.log(((new Date).getTime()-t)/1000); This code is faster (5 sec), but I want get more. Q Are there any faster way to get all elements with this data key? In fact, I can keep an array with all elements I need, since I execute .data('key') in my module. Checking 100 elements having the desired .data('lalala') is better then checking 3640 :) So the solution would be like for (i in elements) { el = elements[i]; .... But sometimes elements are removed from the page (using jQuery .remove()). Both solutions described above [$(':data(lalala)') solution and if ($(this).data('lalala'))] will skip removed items (as I need), while the solution with array will still point to removed element (in fact, the element would not be really deleted - it will only be deleted from the DOM tree - because my array will still have a reference). I found that .remove() also removes data from the node, so my solution will change into var toRemove = []; for (vari in elements) { var el = elements[i]; if ($(el).data('lalala')) .... else toRemove.push(i); }; for (var ii in toRemove) elements.splice(toRemove[ii], 1); // remove element from array This solution is 100 times faster! Q Will the garbage collector release memory taken by DOM elements when deleted from that array? Remember, elements have been referenced by DOM tree, we made a new reference in our array, then removed with .remove() and then removed from the array. Is there a better way to do this?

  • Python hashable dicts

    - by TokenMacGuy
    As an exercise, and mostly for my own amusement, I'm implementing a backtracking packrat parser. The inspiration for this is i'd like to have a better idea about how hygenic macros would work in an algol-like language (as apposed to the syntax free lisp dialects you normally find them in). Because of this, different passes through the input might see different grammars, so cached parse results are invalid, unless I also store the current version of the grammar along with the cached parse results. (EDIT: a consequence of this use of key-value collections is that they should be immutable, but I don't intend to expose the interface to allow them to be changed, so either mutable or immutable collections are fine) The problem is that python dicts cannot appear as keys to other dicts. Even using a tuple (as I'd be doing anyways) doesn't help. >>> cache = {} >>> rule = {"foo":"bar"} >>> cache[(rule, "baz")] = "quux" Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module> TypeError: unhashable type: 'dict' >>> I guess it has to be tuples all the way down. Now the python standard library provides approximately what i'd need, collections.namedtuple has a very different syntax, but can be used as a key. continuing from above session: >>> from collections import namedtuple >>> Rule = namedtuple("Rule",rule.keys()) >>> cache[(Rule(**rule), "baz")] = "quux" >>> cache {(Rule(foo='bar'), 'baz'): 'quux'} Ok. But I have to make a class for each possible combination of keys in the rule I would want to use, which isn't so bad, because each parse rule knows exactly what parameters it uses, so that class can be defined at the same time as the function that parses the rule. But combining the rules together is much more dynamic. In particular, I'd like a simple way to have rules override other rules, but collections.namedtuple has no analogue to dict.update(). Edit: An additional problem with namedtuples is that they are strictly positional. Two tuples that look like they should be different can in fact be the same: >>> you = namedtuple("foo",["bar","baz"]) >>> me = namedtuple("foo",["bar","quux"]) >>> you(bar=1,baz=2) == me(bar=1,quux=2) True >>> bob = namedtuple("foo",["baz","bar"]) >>> you(bar=1,baz=2) == bob(bar=1,baz=2) False tl'dr: How do I get dicts that can be used as keys to other dicts? Having hacked a bit on the answers, here's the more complete solution I'm using. Note that this does a bit extra work to make the resulting dicts vaguely immutable for practical purposes. Of course it's still quite easy to hack around it by calling dict.__setitem__(instance, key, value) but we're all adults here. class hashdict(dict): """ hashable dict implementation, suitable for use as a key into other dicts. >>> h1 = hashdict({"apples": 1, "bananas":2}) >>> h2 = hashdict({"bananas": 3, "mangoes": 5}) >>> h1+h2 hashdict(apples=1, bananas=3, mangoes=5) >>> d1 = {} >>> d1[h1] = "salad" >>> d1[h1] 'salad' >>> d1[h2] Traceback (most recent call last): ... KeyError: hashdict(bananas=3, mangoes=5) based on answers from http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1151658/python-hashable-dicts """ def __key(self): return tuple(sorted(self.items())) def __repr__(self): return "{0}({1})".format(self.__class__.__name__, ", ".join("{0}={1}".format( str(i[0]),repr(i[1])) for i in self.__key())) def __hash__(self): return hash(self.__key()) def __setitem__(self, key, value): raise TypeError("{0} does not support item assignment" .format(self.__class__.__name__)) def __delitem__(self, key): raise TypeError("{0} does not support item assignment" .format(self.__class__.__name__)) def clear(self): raise TypeError("{0} does not support item assignment" .format(self.__class__.__name__)) def pop(self, *args, **kwargs): raise TypeError("{0} does not support item assignment" .format(self.__class__.__name__)) def popitem(self, *args, **kwargs): raise TypeError("{0} does not support item assignment" .format(self.__class__.__name__)) def setdefault(self, *args, **kwargs): raise TypeError("{0} does not support item assignment" .format(self.__class__.__name__)) def update(self, *args, **kwargs): raise TypeError("{0} does not support item assignment" .format(self.__class__.__name__)) def __add__(self, right): result = hashdict(self) dict.update(result, right) return result if __name__ == "__main__": import doctest doctest.testmod()

  • How do I construct a Django reverse/url using query args?

    - by Andrew Dalke
    I have URLs like http://example.com/depict?smiles=CO&width=200&height=200 (and with several other optional arguments) My urls.py contains: urlpatterns = patterns('', (r'^$', 'cansmi.index'), (r'^cansmi$', 'cansmi.cansmi'), url(r'^depict$', cyclops.django.depict, name="cyclops-depict"), I can go to that URL and get the 200x200 PNG that was constructed, so I know that part works. In my template from the "cansmi.cansmi" response I want to construct a URL for the named template "cyclops-depict" given some query parameters. I thought I could do {% url cyclops-depict smiles=input_smiles width=200 height=200 %} where "input_smiles" is an input to the template via a form submission. In this case it's the string "CO" and I thought it would create a URL like the one at top. This template fails with a TemplateSyntaxError: Caught an exception while rendering: Reverse for 'cyclops-depict' with arguments '()' and keyword arguments '{'smiles': u'CO', 'height': 200, 'width': 200}' not found. This is a rather common error message both here on StackOverflow and elsewhere. In every case I found, people were using them with parameters in the URL path regexp, which is not the case I have where the parameters go into the query. That means I'm doing it wrong. How do I do it right? That is, I want to construct the full URL, including path and query parameters, using something in the template. For reference, % python manage.py shell Python 2.6.1 (r261:67515, Feb 11 2010, 00:51:29) [GCC 4.2.1 (Apple Inc. build 5646)] on darwin Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information. • How to match multiple substrings in jQuery combobox autocomplete

    - by John R
    I found more than a couple examples of this with a plain jquery autocomplete but not in a way that will work with the autocomplete included in the combobox code from the demo because the structure of the code is structured so differently. I want to match every item that has all of the search tokens anywhere in any word. I don't need to match the start of any word, any part of it is fine. I don't care if the search strings are highlighted in the autocomplete list if that makes things too complicated. Desired search/result combos: (please excuse the spacing) "fi th" "fi rst second th ird" "rs on" "fi rs t sec on d third" "ec rd" "first s ec ond thi rd" but not limited to any max/min length or number of tokens. EDIT I figured part of it out using the code structure from the other autocorrect I had working. source: function( requestObj, responseFunc ) { var matchArry = $("select > option").map(function(){return this.innerHTML;}).get(); var srchTerms = $.trim(requestObj.term).split(/\s+/); // For each search term, remove non-matches $.each (srchTerms, function (J, term) { var regX = new RegExp (term, "i"); matchArry = $.map (matchArry, function (item) { if( regX.test(item) ){ return{ label: item, value: item, option: HTMLOptionElement } ? item :null; } } ); }); // Return the match results responseFunc (matchArry); }, and select: function( event, ui ) { ui.item.option.selected = true; self._trigger( "selected", event, { item: ui.item.option }); $("destination").val(ui.item.value); // I added this line }, but I can't get both multiple words AND being able to click to select working at the same time. If I remove the } ? item :null; on the return in the map function I can click to select an item. If I leave it I can type multiple words, but I can't click any of the items... Is that the problem or the option: this? I've tried replacing it with HTMLOptionElement and null and I'm stuck. I am able to set the value of another field with ui.item.value within the select label but that doesn't put the value in the search box or close the dropdown menu. • Decode base64 data as array in Python

    - by skerit
    I'm using this handy Javascript function to decode a base64 string and get an array in return. This is the string: base64_decode_array('6gAAAOsAAADsAAAACAEAAAkBAAAKAQAAJgEAACcBAAAoAQAA') This is what's returned: 234,0,0,0,235,0,0,0,236,0,0,0,8,1,0,0,9,1,0,0,10,1,0,0,38,1,0,0,39,1,0,0,40,1,0,0 The problem is I don't really understand the javascript function: var base64chars = 'ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789+/'.split(""); var base64inv = {}; for (var i = 0; i < base64chars.length; i++) { base64inv[base64chars[i]] = i; } function base64_decode_array (s) { // remove/ignore any characters not in the base64 characters list // or the pad character -- particularly newlines s = s.replace(new RegExp('[^'+base64chars.join("")+'=]', 'g'), ""); // replace any incoming padding with a zero pad (the 'A' character is zero) var p = (s.charAt(s.length-1) == '=' ? (s.charAt(s.length-2) == '=' ? 'AA' : 'A') : ""); var r = []; s = s.substr(0, s.length - p.length) + p; // increment over the length of this encrypted string, four characters at a time for (var c = 0; c < s.length; c += 4) { // each of these four characters represents a 6-bit index in the base64 characters list // which, when concatenated, will give the 24-bit number for the original 3 characters var n = (base64inv[s.charAt(c)] << 18) + (base64inv[s.charAt(c+1)] << 12) + (base64inv[s.charAt(c+2)] << 6) + base64inv[s.charAt(c+3)]; // split the 24-bit number into the original three 8-bit (ASCII) characters r.push((n >>> 16) & 255); r.push((n >>> 8) & 255); r.push(n & 255); } // remove any zero pad that was added to make this a multiple of 24 bits return r; } What's the function of those "<<<" and "" characters. Or is there a function like this for Python?

  • highlight query string in more than one field using solr search feature

    - by Romi
    i am using solr indexes for showing my search results. to show serch results i am parsing json data received from solr. i am able to highlight a query string in search result but only in a single field. for this i set hl=true and hl.fl="field1". i did it as $.getJSON("http://192.168.1.9:8983/solr/db/select/?wt=json&&start=0&rows=100&q="+lowerCaseQuery+"&hl=true&hl.fl=description,name&hl.usePhraseHighlighter=true&sort=price asc&json.wrf=?", function(result){ var n=result.response.numFound var highlight = new Array(n); $.each(result.highlighting, function(i, hitem){ var match = hitem.text[0].match(/<em>(.*?)<\/em>/); highlight[i]=match[1]; }); $.each(newresult.response.docs, function(i,item){ var word=highlight[item["UID_PK"]]; var result = item.text[0].replace(new RegExp(word,'g'), '<em>' + word + '</em>'); }); for this json object is as : { "responseHeader": { "status": 0, "QTime": 32 }, "response": { "numFound": 21, "start": 0, "docs": [ { "description": "The matte finish waves on this wedding band contrast with the high polish borders. This sharp and elegant design was finely crafted in Japan.", "UID_PK": "8252", }, { "description": "This elegant ring has an Akoya cultured pearl with a band of bezel-set round diamonds making it perfect for her to wear to work or the night out.", "UID_PK": "8142", }, ] }, "highlighting": { "8252": { "description": [ " and <em>elegant</em> design was finely crafted in Japan." ] }, "8142": { "description": [ "This <em>elegant</em> ring has an Akoya cultured pearl with a band of bezel-set round diamonds making" ] }, } } Now if i want to highlight query string in two fields i did as hl=true hl.fl=descrption, name my json is as: { "responseHeader":{ "status":0, "QTime":16 }, "response":{ "numFound":1904, "start":0, "docs":[ { "description":"", "UID_PK":"7780", "name":[ "Diamond bracelet with Milgrain Bezel1" ] }, { "description":"This pendant is sure to win hearts. Round <em>diamonds</em> form a simple and graceful line." ], "name":[ "Heartline <em>Diamond</em> Pendant" ] } } } Now how should i parse it to get the result. suggest me some general technique, so if i want to highlight query in more fields then i could do so. Thanks

  • JavaScript regular expression literal persists between function calls

    - by Charles Anderson
    I have this piece of code: function func1(text) { var pattern = /([\s\S]*?)(\<\?(?:attrib |if |else-if |else|end-if|search |for |end-for)[\s\S]*?\?\>)/g; var result; while (result = pattern.exec(text)) { if (some condition) { throw new Error('failed'); } ... } } This works, unless the throw statement is executed. In that case, the next time I call the function, the exec() call starts where it left off, even though I am supplying it with a new value of 'text'. I can fix it by writing var pattern = new RegExp('.....'); instead, but I don't understand why the first version is failing. How is the regular expression persisting between function calls? (This is happening in the latest versions of Firefox and Chrome.) Edit Complete test case: <!DOCTYPE HTML> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-type" content="text/html;charset=UTF-8"> <title>Test Page</title> <style type='text/css'> body { font-family: sans-serif; } #log p { margin: 0; padding: 0; } </style> <script type='text/javascript'> function func1(text, count) { var pattern = /(one|two|three|four|five|six|seven|eight)/g; log("func1"); var result; while (result = pattern.exec(text)) { log("result[0] = " + result[0] + ", pattern.index = " + pattern.index); if (--count <= 0) { throw "Error"; } } } function go() { try { func1("one two three four five six seven eight", 3); } catch (e) { } try { func1("one two three four five six seven eight", 2); } catch (e) { } try { func1("one two three four five six seven eight", 99); } catch (e) { } try { func1("one two three four five six seven eight", 2); } catch (e) { } } function log(msg) { var log = document.getElementById('log'); var p = document.createElement('p'); p.innerHTML = msg; log.appendChild(p); } </script> </head> <body><div> <input type='button' id='btnGo' value='Go' onclick='go();'> <hr> <div id='log'></div> </div></body> </html> The regular expression continues with 'four' as of the second call on FF and Chrome, not on IE7 or Opera.

  • Configuring a html page from an original demo page

    - by Wold
    I forked into rainyday.js through github, an awesome javascript program made by maroslaw at this link: https://github.com/maroslaw/rainyday.js. Basically I tried taking his demo page and my own photo city.jpg and changed the applicable fields so that I could run it on my own site, but only the picture loads and the script itself doesn't start to run. I'm pretty new to html and javascript so I'm probably omitting something very simple, but here is the script for the demo code: <script src="rainyday.js"></script> <script> function getURLParameter(name) { return decodeURIComponent((new RegExp('[?|&]' + name + '=' + '([^&;]+?)(&|#|;|$)').exec(location.search)||[,''])[1].replace(/\+/g, '%20'))||null; } function demo() { var image = document.getElementById('background'); image.onload = function () { var engine = null; var preset = getURLParameter('preset') || '1'; if (preset === '1') { engine = new RainyDay({ element: 'background', blur: 10, opacity: 1, fps: 30, speed: 30 }); engine.rain([ [1, 2, 8000] ]); engine.rain([ [3, 3, 0.88], [5, 5, 0.9], [6, 2, 1] ], 100); } else if (preset === '2') { engine = new RainyDay({ element: 'background', blur: 10, opacity: 1, fps: 30, speed: 30 }); engine.VARIABLE_GRAVITY_ANGLE = Math.PI / 8; engine.rain([ [0, 2, 0.5], [4, 4, 1] ], 50); } else if (preset === '3') { engine = new RainyDay({ element: 'background', blur: 10, opacity: 1, fps: 30, speed: 30 }); engine.trail = engine.TRAIL_SMUDGE; engine.rain([ [0, 2, 0.5], [4, 4, 1] ], 100); } }; image.crossOrigin = 'anonymous'; if (getURLParameter('imgur')) { image.src = 'http://i.imgur.com/' + getURLParameter('imgur') + '.jpg'; } else if (getURLParameter('img')) { image.src = getURLParameter('img') + '.jpg'; } var youtube = getURLParameter('youtube'); if (youtube) { var div = document.getElementById('sound'); var player = document.createElement('iframe'); player.frameborder = '0'; player.height = '1'; player.width = '1'; player.src = 'https://youtube.com/embed/' + youtube + '?autoplay=1&controls=0&showinfo=0&autohide=1&loop=1'; div.appendChild(player); } } </script> This is where I am naming my background and specifying the photo from within the directory. <body onload="demo();"> <div id="sound" style="z-index: -1;"></div> <div id="parent"> <img id='background' alt="background" src="city.jpg" /> </div> </body> The actual code for the whole entire rainyday.js script can be found here: https://github.com/maroslaw/rainyday.js/blob/master/rainyday.js Thanks in advance for any help and advice!

  • Setting background-image with javascript

    - by Mattoe3k
    In chrome, safari, and opera setting the background image to an absolute reference such as: "/images/image.png" changes it to "http://sitepath/images/image.png". It does not do this in firefox. Is there any way to avoid this behavior, or is it written into the browser's javascript engine? Using jquery to set the background-image also does this problem. The problem is that I am posting the HTML to a php script that needs the urls in this specific format. I know that setting the image path relative fixes this, but I can't do that. The only other alternative would be to use a regexp. to convert the urls. Thanks. Test this in firefox, and chrome / webkit browser: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> <title>Untitled Document</title> </head> <body> <div style="height:400px;width:400px;background-image:url(/images/images/logo.gif);"> </div> <br /> <br /> <div id="test" style="height:400px;width:400px;"> </div> <script type="text/javascript" src="/javascripts/jquery.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $("#test").css('background-image',"url(/images/images/logo.gif)"); alert(document.getElementById('test').style.backgroundImage); }); </script> </body> </html>

  • Regular expression Not working properly n case of multiple trailing ]]]]

    - by ronan
    I have the requirement that in a textbox a user can jump to the next word enclosed in [] on a tab out for example Hi [this] is [an] example. Testing [this] So when my cursor is at Hi and I do a tab out , the characters enclosed in the [this] are highlighted and when I again do a tabl out th next characters enclosed in following [an] are highlighted. This works fine Now the requirement is whatever the text including the special chars between [] needs to be highlighted case 1: when I have trailing ]]], it only highlights leading [[[ and ignores ]]]] e.g case 2: In case of multiple trailing ] e.e [this]]]] is [test], ideally one a single tabl out from this , it should go to next text enclosed in [] but a user has to tab out 4 times one tab per training ] to go to next [text] strong text The code is $(document).ready(function() { $('textarea').highlightTextarea({ color : '#0475D1', words : [ "/(\[.*?\])/g" ], textColor : '#000000' }); $('textarea').live('keydown', function(e) { var keyCode = e.keyCode || e.which; if (keyCode == 9) { var currentIndex = getCaret($(this).get(0)) selectText($(this), currentIndex); return false; } }); }); function selectText(element, currentIndex) { var rSearchTerm = new RegExp(/(\[.*?\])/); var ind = element.val().substr(currentIndex).search(rSearchTerm) currentIndex = (ind == -1 ? 0 : currentIndex); ind = (ind == -1 ? element.val().search(rSearchTerm) : ind); currentIndex = (ind == -1 ? 0 : currentIndex); var lasInd = (element.val().substr(currentIndex).search(rSearchTerm) == -1 ? 0 : element.val().substr(currentIndex).indexOf(']')); var input = element.get(0); if (input.setSelectionRange) { input.focus(); input.setSelectionRange(ind + currentIndex, lasInd + 1 + currentIndex); } else if (input.createTextRange) { var range = input.createTextRange(); range.collapse(true); range.moveEnd('character', lasInd + 1 + currentIndex); range.moveStart('character', ind + currentIndex); range.select(); } } function getCaret(el) { if (el.selectionEnd) { return el.selectionEnd; } else if (document.selection) { el.focus(); var r = document.selection.createRange(); if (r == null) { return 0; } var re = el.createTextRange(), rc = re.duplicate(); re.moveToBookmark(r.getBookmark()); rc.setEndPoint('EndToStart', re); return rc.text.length; } return 0; } Please let me know to handle two above cases

  • Disable Dojo validation on certain fields

    - by Eric LaForce
    I would like to disable client side validation on certain fields in my user form. Currently I have two sets of fields that are displayed depending on the value of a previous drop down list. i.e. if the drop down list is set to value "A" 1 new field appears in the form. If the drop down list is set to value "B" 3 new fields appear in the form (mutually exclusive from the new form field when "A" is selected). Currently my Dojo client side validation fails because the fields that are not shown to the user (and thus no data can be inserted into those fields) fails to validate. Currently I determined that I can set the "validate" attribute to return true like so: <input type="text" id="companycity" name="companycity" class="textinput" value="<?php echo set_value('companycity'); ?>" style="<?php if(isset($errorData['companycity'])){echo $errorData['companycity'];} ?>" dojotype="dijit.form.ValidationTextBox" required="true" trim="true" validate='return true'" regexp="([a-zA-Z]{1,25})" invalidMessage="Invalid value. Must be between 1 and 25 alphabetic characters long."> This fixes my issue for hidden fields. However this now means that no validation is performed when this field becomes visible to the user (i.e. the validate attribute is still set to return true). I have tried removing the validate property when a field is displayed to the user like so: dijit.byId('companycode').attr('validate',''); This just set the attribute to nothing. This however gives errors in firebug saying validate method not found, so I take that to mean I did not remove this attribute correctly or removing this attribute is not the appropriate way to do this. I have also looked at overriding the validator method here but this doesnt seem like what I want either. I do not want to have to rewrite all the validation methods in place of dojo's. I just want dojo not to validate if the field is not visible to the user. Thanks for any advice or help.

  • How can I build pyv8 from source on FreeBSD against the v8 port?

  • How to automate org-refile for multiple todo

    - by lawlist
    I'm looking to automate org-refile so that it will find all of the matches and re-file them to a specific location (but not archive). I found a fully automated method of archiving multiple todo, and I am hopeful to find or create (with some help) something similar to this awesome function (but for a different heading / location other than archiving): https://github.com/tonyday567/jwiegley-dot-emacs/blob/master/dot-org.el (defun org-archive-done-tasks () (interactive) (save-excursion (goto-char (point-min)) (while (re-search-forward "\* \\(None\\|Someday\\) " nil t) (if (save-restriction (save-excursion (org-narrow-to-subtree) (search-forward ":LOGBOOK:" nil t))) (forward-line) (org-archive-subtree) (goto-char (line-beginning-position)))))) I also found this (written by aculich), which is a step in the right direction, but still requires repeating the function manually: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7509463/how-to-move-a-subtree-to-another-subtree-in-org-mode-emacs ;; I also wanted a way for org-refile to refile easily to a subtree, so I wrote some code and generalized it so that it will set an arbitrary immediate target anywhere (not just in the same file). ;; Basic usage is to move somewhere in Tree B and type C-c C-x C-m to mark the target for refiling, then move to the entry in Tree A that you want to refile and type C-c C-w which will immediately refile into the target location you set in Tree B without prompting you, unless you called org-refile-immediate-target with a prefix arg C-u C-c C-x C-m. ;; Note that if you press C-c C-w in rapid succession to refile multiple entries it will preserve the order of your entries even if org-reverse-note-order is set to t, but you can turn it off to respect the setting of org-reverse-note-order with a double prefix arg C-u C-u C-c C-x C-m. (defvar org-refile-immediate nil "Refile immediately using `org-refile-immediate-target' instead of prompting.") (make-local-variable 'org-refile-immediate) (defvar org-refile-immediate-preserve-order t "If last command was also `org-refile' then preserve ordering.") (make-local-variable 'org-refile-immediate-preserve-order) (defvar org-refile-immediate-target nil) "Value uses the same format as an item in `org-refile-targets'." (make-local-variable 'org-refile-immediate-target) (defadvice org-refile (around org-immediate activate) (if (not org-refile-immediate) ad-do-it ;; if last command was `org-refile' then preserve ordering (let ((org-reverse-note-order (if (and org-refile-immediate-preserve-order (eq last-command 'org-refile)) nil org-reverse-note-order))) (ad-set-arg 2 (assoc org-refile-immediate-target (org-refile-get-targets))) (prog1 ad-do-it (setq this-command 'org-refile))))) (defadvice org-refile-cache-clear (after org-refile-history-clear activate) (setq org-refile-targets (default-value 'org-refile-targets)) (setq org-refile-immediate nil) (setq org-refile-immediate-target nil) (setq org-refile-history nil)) ;;;###autoload (defun org-refile-immediate-target (&optional arg) "Set current entry as `org-refile' target. Non-nil turns off `org-refile-immediate', otherwise `org-refile' will immediately refile without prompting for target using most recent entry in `org-refile-targets' that matches `org-refile-immediate-target' as the default." (interactive "P") (if (equal arg '(16)) (progn (setq org-refile-immediate-preserve-order (not org-refile-immediate-preserve-order)) (message "Order preserving is turned: %s" (if org-refile-immediate-preserve-order "on" "off"))) (setq org-refile-immediate (unless arg t)) (make-local-variable 'org-refile-targets) (let* ((components (org-heading-components)) (level (first components)) (heading (nth 4 components)) (string (substring-no-properties heading))) (add-to-list 'org-refile-targets (append (list (buffer-file-name)) (cons :regexp (format "^%s %s$" (make-string level ?*) string)))) (setq org-refile-immediate-target heading)))) (define-key org-mode-map "\C-c\C-x\C-m" 'org-refile-immediate-target) It sure would be helpful if aculich, or some other maven, could please create a variable similar to (setq org-archive-location "~/0.todo.org::* Archived Tasks") so users can specify the file and heading, which is already a part of the org-archive-subtree functionality. I'm doing a search and mark because I don't have the wherewithal to create something like org-archive-location for this setup. EDIT: One step closer -- almost home free . . . (defun lawlist-auto-refile () (interactive) (beginning-of-buffer) (re-search-forward "\* UNDATED") (org-refile-immediate-target) ;; cursor must be on a heading to work. (save-excursion (re-search-backward "\* UNDATED") ;; must be written in such a way so that sub-entries of * UNDATED are not searched; or else infinity loop. (while (re-search-backward "\* \\(None\\|Someday\\) " nil t) (org-refile) ) ) )

  • Why is my spawned process still causing IntelliJ to wait?

    - by itsadok
    I'm trying to start a server as part of an Ant artifact. Here are the relevant lines: <exec dir="." executable="cmd.exe" spawn="true"> <arg line="/c c:\Java\james-2.3.2\bin\debug.bat" /> </exec> If I start it with ant from the command line, a process is spawned and I get a command prompt and everything seems fine. However, if I start it from IntelliJ 6, my IDE, the build stays alive until I kill the server. Here's the line IntelliJ uses to start ant: C:\Java\jdk1.6.0_02\bin\java -Xmx128m -Dant.home=C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1 -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8 -classpath "C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1\lib\ant-antlr.jar;C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1\lib\ant-apache-bcel.jar;C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1\lib\ant-apache-bsf.jar;C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1\lib\ant-apache-log4j.jar;C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1\lib\ant-apache-oro.jar;C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1\lib\ant-apache-regexp.jar;C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1\lib\ant-apache-resolver.jar;C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1\lib\ant-commons-logging.jar;C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1\lib\ant-commons-net.jar;C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1\lib\ant-jai.jar;C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1\lib\ant-javamail.jar;C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1\lib\ant-jdepend.jar;C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1\lib\ant-jmf.jar;C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1\lib\ant-jsch.jar;C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1\lib\ant-junit.jar;C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1\lib\ant-launcher.jar;C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1\lib\ant-netrexx.jar;C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1\lib\ant-nodeps.jar;C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1\lib\ant-starteam.jar;C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1\lib\ant-stylebook.jar;C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1\lib\ant-swing.jar;C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1\lib\ant-testutil.jar;C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1\lib\ant-trax.jar;C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1\lib\ant-weblogic.jar;C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1\lib\ant.jar;C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1\lib\xercesImpl.jar;C:\Java\apache-ant-1.7.1\lib\xml-apis.jar;C:\Java\jdk1.6.0_02\lib\tools.jar;C:\Program Files\JetBrains\IntelliJ IDEA 6.0\lib\idea_rt.jar" com.intellij.rt.ant.execution.AntMain2 -logger com.intellij.rt.ant.execution.IdeaAntLogger2 -inputhandler com.intellij.rt.ant.execution.IdeaInputHandler -buildfile C:\Java\Projects\CcMailer\ccmailer.xml jar I suspect the inputhandler parameter has something to do with the problem, but if I run it myself the problem is not reproduced. Either way, I have only limited control over what IntelliJ does. My question is: how does IntelliJ even know the process is running? The Ant process is long gone. Is there a way to start a subprocess in a more sneaky way, so that IntelliJ won't even know there's anything to wait around for? Here's what I've tried so far: I tried using the start command, like this: <exec dir="." executable="cmd.exe" spawn="true"> <arg line="/c start cmd /c c:\Java\james-2.3.2\bin\debug.bat" /> </exec> I also tried using python, with code like this: import os.path import subprocess subprocess.Popen(["cmd.exe", "/c", "debug.bat"], stdin=open(os.path.devnull), stdout=open(os.path.devnull, "w"), stderr=subprocess.STDOUT) To no avail. The build window always stays up until I kill the server. Any ideas?

  • Calling Grep inside Java gives incorrect results when calling grep in shell gives correct results.

    - by futureelite7
    I've got a problem where calling grep from inside java gives incorrect results, as compared to the results from calling grep on the same file in the shell. My grep command (called both in Java and in bash. I escaped the slash in Java accordingly): /bin/grep -vP --regexp='^[0-9]+\t.*' /usr/local/apache-tomcat-6.0.18/work/Catalina/localhost/saccitic/237482319867147879_1271411421 The command is supposed to match and discard strings like these: 85295371616 Hi Mr Lee, please be informed that... My input file is this: 85aaa234567 Hi Ms Chan, please be informed that... 85292vx5678 Hi Mrs Ng, please be informed that... 85295371616 Hi Mr Lee, please be informed that... 85aaa234567 Hi Ms Chan, please be informed that... 85292vx5678 Hi Mrs Ng, please be informed that... 85295371616 Hi Mr Lee, please be informed that... 85295371616 Hi Mr Lee, please be informed that... 85295371616 Hi Mr Lee, please be informed that... 85295371616 Hi Mr Lee, please be informed that... 85295371616 Hi Mr Lee, please be informed that... 8~!95371616 Hi Mr Lee, please be informed that... 85295371616 Hi Mr Lee, please be informed that... 852&^*&1616 Hi Mr Lee, please be informed that... 8529537Ax16 Hi Mr Lee, please be informed that... 85====ppq16 Hi Mr Lee, please be informed that... 85291234783 a3283784428349247233834728482984723333 85219299222 The commands works when I call it from inside bash (Results below): 85aaa234567 Hi Ms Chan, please be informed that... 85292vx5678 Hi Mrs Ng, please be informed that... 85aaa234567 Hi Ms Chan, please be informed that... 85292vx5678 Hi Mrs Ng, please be informed that... 8~!95371616 Hi Mr Lee, please be informed that... 852&^*&1616 Hi Mr Lee, please be informed that... 8529537Ax16 Hi Mr Lee, please be informed that... 85====ppq16 Hi Mr Lee, please be informed that... 85219299222 However, when I call grep again inside java, I get the entire file (Results below): 85aaa234567 Hi Ms Chan, please be informed that... 85291234783 a3283784428349247233834728482984723333 85219299222 What could be the problem that will cause the grep called by Java to return incorrect results? • Get Image Source URLs from a Different Page Using JS

    - by SDD
    Everyone: I'm trying to grab the source URLs of images from one page and use them in some JavaScript in another page. I know how to pull in images using JQuery .load(). However, rather than load all the images and display them on the page, I want to just grab the source URLs so I can use them in a JS array. Page 1 is just a page with images: <html> <head> </head> <body> <img id="image0" src="image0.jpg" /> <img id="image1" src="image1.jpg" /> <img id="image2" src="image2.jpg" /> <img id="image3" src="image3.jpg" /> </body> </html> Page 2 contains my JS. (Please note that the end goal is to load images into an array, randomize them, and using cookies, show a new image on page load every 10 seconds. All this is working. However, rather than hard code the image paths into my javascript as shown below, I'd prefer to take the paths from Page 1 based on their IDs. This way, the images won't always need to be titled "image1.jpg," etc.) <script type = "text/javascript"> var days = 730; var rotator = new Object(); var currentTime = new Date(); var currentMilli = currentTime.getTime(); var images = [], index = 0; images[0] = "image0.jpg"; images[1] = "image1.jpg"; images[2] = "image2.jpg"; images[3] = "image3.jpg"; rotator.getCookie = function(Name) { var re = new RegExp(Name+"=[^;]+", "i"); if (document.cookie.match(re)) return document.cookie.match(re)[0].split("=")[1]; return''; } rotator.setCookie = function(name, value, days) { var expireDate = new Date(); var expstring = expireDate.setDate(expireDate.getDate()+parseInt(days)); document.cookie = name+"="+value+"; expires="+expireDate.toGMTString()+"; path=/"; } rotator.randomize = function() { index = Math.floor(Math.random() * images.length); randomImageSrc = images[index]; } rotator.check = function() { if (rotator.getCookie("randomImage") == "") { rotator.randomize(); document.write("<img src=" + randomImageSrc + ">"); rotator.setCookie("randomImage", randomImageSrc, days); rotator.setCookie("timeClock", currentMilli, days); } else { var writtenTime = parseInt(rotator.getCookie("timeClock"),10); if ( currentMilli > writtenTime + 10000 ) { rotator.randomize(); var writtenImage = rotator.getCookie("randomImage") while ( randomImageSrc == writtenImage ) { rotator.randomize(); } document.write("<img src=" + randomImageSrc + ">"); rotator.setCookie("randomImage", randomImageSrc, days); rotator.setCookie("timeClock", currentMilli, days); } else { var writtenImage = rotator.getCookie("randomImage") document.write("<img src=" + writtenImage + ">"); } } } rotator.check() </script> Can anyone point me in the right direction? My hunch is to use JQuery .get(), but I've been unsuccessful so far. Please let me know if I can clarify!

  • load search results into a div that toggles with other divs

    - by Z. Edwards
    I am working with a page that has multiple divs that toggle. This function works. A search function was added and this works too. The problem with the page as it exists currently: The search bar was placed on the "default" div and the results load below the bar into another div that is invisible when empty. The results div is inside this first default div. If you toggle to another div, you lose the default div and can't get back to it. For this reason, I moved the search bar to the left navigation where the other toggle links are situated. I also moved the search results div out of the default div to "stand on its own." What I am trying to do: Make the search button show the div with the results as well as find the results. Basically, to integrate the search function into the array/toggle function. The search function is in one .js file and the toggle function is in a different .js file. I keep thinking there must be a way to get "onclick" to call from both .js files so that I don't have to do a bunch of extra work combining the two functions that already exist and work separately. I am a Javascript newbie learning by examples and haven't been able to figure this out. I have never seen a working example of this and my searches haven't produced one. I would be very grateful for any help. Hope I explained the problem adequately. Edit: Here is the code I already have for the toggle function. var ids=new Array('a','b','c',[and so on--search results not added here yet]); function switchid(id_array){ hideallids(); for( var i=0, limit=id_array.length; i < limit; ++i) showdiv(id_array[i]); } function hideallids(){ for (var i=0;i<ids.length;i++){ hidediv(ids[i]); } } function hidediv(id) { //safe function to hide an element with a specified id if (document.getElementById) { // DOM3 = IE5, NS6 document.getElementById(id).style.display = 'none'; } else { if (document.layers) { // Netscape 4 document.id.display = 'none'; } else { // IE 4 document.all.id.style.display = 'none'; } } } function showdiv(id) {//safe function to show an element with a specified id if (document.getElementById) { // DOM3 = IE5, NS6 document.getElementById(id).style.display = 'block'; } else { if (document.layers) { // Netscape 4 document.id.display = 'block'; } else { // IE 4 document.all.id.style.display = 'block'; } } } function initialize(){ var t = gup("target"); if( t ) { switchid([t]); } } function gup( name ) { name = name.replace(/[\[]/,"\\\[").replace(/[\]]/,"\\\]"); var regexS = "[\\?&]"+name+"=([^&#]*)"; var regex = new RegExp( regexS ); var results = regex.exec( window.location.href ); if( results == null ){ return ""; } else { return results[1]; } } Thanks in advance!
