  • How to Concatenate 2 C strings, without overwriting any terminating Null characters?

    Hello, I am trying to set up a list of file names for a parameter to SHFileOperation. I want to be able to concatenate a file name onto the char array, but i dont want to get rid of the terminating character. for example, I want this: C:\...\0E:\...\0F:\...\0\0 when i use strcat(), it overwrites the null, so it looks like C:\...E:\...F:\...0\ Is there any easy way to do this? or am i going to have to code a new strcat for myself?

    Hi, I have some text coming from the web as such: £6.49 Obviously I would like this to be displayed as: £6.49 I have tried the following so far: s = url['title'] s = s.encode('utf8') s = s.replace(u'Â','') And a few variants on this (after finding it on this very same forum) But still no luck as I keep getting: UnicodeDecodeError: 'ascii' codec can't decode byte 0xc3 in position 100: ordinal not in range(128) Could anyone help me getting this right?     Hi all, I have one question about EF. If I understand correctly EF does not support Contains. I try to achieve this: I have column(nvarchar) with this: for ex.row1. 1;3;4;5,row2. 3;4;6 row3. 7;8;16 etc. I have list(of string) with 1,6. My goal is to get row1 and row2 in result set. I try with linq to entity and with linq to sql but i can't get this right. I stuck with this and any help would be appreciated... Tnx

I want to find all values in data that contain 'underscore r underscore'.     hey guys I'm trying to use ip2country technique to show my users'flags simple thing to do is to write a sql statement and show users from session table and then query to see if their ip is in what range and show their flags it simple but dengerous becuase when showing 300 users online and fetching from session table and then query once again ip2country table to get the flags there will be surelly memory overusage problem now i wrote a query to make it in one query : SELECT s.session_ip,ipc.* FROM session s left join ip2country ipc ON ipc.ip_lo<=s.session_ip AND ipc.ip_hi>=s.session_ip WHERE s.session_time > '".( time() - 60) )."' now its clear above query is wrong cause ips saved in ip2country table is long string 1000013824 and ips saved in session table are real ip e.g. 193.169.0.0 now i know how to convert from ip to long in php ip2long() but is there any command in mysql to do it with out building another query !?

    Basically, i have done my program so that it will display differences in strings and display the whole line. I want to highlight (in a colour) the differences in the line. I would like to be able to highlight that difference and any other difference.     Hi, I am working on a Japanese File and I have no knowledge of the language. The file is encoded in S-JIS. Now, I am supposed to convert the contents into UTF-8 so that the content looks like Japanese. And here I am completely blank. I am working with a bunch of strings, and feel like it would be terribly inefficient to have to use c_str() each time I want to compare them with strcasecmp(). Should I just use cstrings instead of strings...?

I am creating a form where view will be loaded through AJAX request with jQuery get(), so essentially I need my Views or to be precise, my controller actions, to return plain HTML string when an AJAX request is made to the route that renders the View. I want to use the same views as for normal requests, so I cannot afford to create any new views. It is something like calling RenderPartial("MyViewUserControl") but from inside the JS code.

    Hello, I am wondering how exactly can i order my date nicely in a stringbuilder? Meaning something equal to ("{0,2}", ....) to space the data nicely out. I do not want to use consolewrites of any kind, so the class can be re-used in a form, console code etc... Currently i am using " " for the spacing, but in overall it does not give a proper display.     Im trying to compare a hashed password value in a mysql database with the hashed value of an inputted password from a login form. However, when I compare the two values it says they aren't equal.
