  • What is the best way to go about obscuring Java code?

    Well, I'm planning on releasing a Jar into the world but would prefer if the code was not readably available to anyone with a Java Decompiler as I want to control access to the program with usernames / auth codes etc. After some Googling I haven't found any software to do this for me, so I was wondering what steps to take from here; if anyone can point me at any software or information on methodologies of obscurification I would be grateful.     I am a student programmer and relatively new to the industry. Once I get out into the real world and have money to blow, which events/conventions/conferences/etc. should I look into attending? Which do you consider a must-attend-at-least-once-in-your-life-as-a-developer type of event? Just to clarify, any language, company, size, are acceptable. I'm mostly looking to generate a list of highly regarded conferences for a variety of different fields/interests.

How do I determine which xml file any given page on the website is using? For example, if I were on the home page at http://mysite.com, which layout xml file am I using? What if I’m on http://mysite.com/hello-world, which xml file then?

(I checked the forecolor seems ok). Previously in winforms world I'd override onload in a base form and iterate through all controls and containers and determine the type of controls and set the dimensions accordingly. I guess I could do the same in WPF but is there any better way to do this?

    Say I have an environment variable myvar myvar=\tapple\n when the following command will print out this variable perl -e 'print "$ENV{myvar}"' I will literally have \tapple\n, however, I want those control chars to be evaluated and not escaped. How would I achieve it? In the real world $ENV residing in substitution, but I hope the answer will cover that.

    I need to call a web service that requires a login url containing an RSA encrypted, base_64 encoded and url-encoded login data. I don't have a formal php training, but even for me it seems like an easy task, however when calling the service I get an 'Invalid Format' response. What am I doing wrong and is there another way to come up with the encrypted string? Code example below.     I know that the static objects in .Net managed world are loaded in Loader Heap which is never going to be garbage collected. What happens to the instance reference parameters passed to a static methods. Are they get garbage collected once the static function executed completely Or they are going to live forever as those instance reference variables are once passed to static method?   • Is it possible to use CSS to align these divs/spans in a table-like manner? (While still retaining continuity)

    I have <div class='line'> <div class='chord_line'> <span class='chord_block'></span> <span class='chord_block'>E</span> <span class='chord_block'>B</span> <span class='chord_block'>C#m</span> <span class='chord_block'>A</span> </div> <div class='lyric_line'> <span class='lyric_block'></span> <span class='lyric_block'>Just a</span> <span class='lyric_block'>small-town girl</span> <span class='lyric_block'>living in a</span> <span class='lyric_block'>lonely world</span> </div> </div> (Excuse me for not being too familiar with proper css conventions for when to use div/spans) I want to be able to display them so that each chord_block span and lyric_block span is aligned vertically, as if they were left-aligned and on the same row of a table. For example: E B C#m A Just a small-town girl living in a lonely world (There will often be cases where an empty chord block is matched up to non-empty lyric block, and vice-versa.) I'm completely new to using CSS to align things, and have had no real understanding/experience of CSS aside from changing background colors and link styles. Is this possible in CSS? If not, how could the div/class nesting structure be revised to make this possible? I could change the spans to divs if necessary. Some things I cannot use: I can't change the structure to group things by a chord_and_lyric_block div (and have their width stretch to the length of the lyric, and stack them horizontally), because I couldn't really copy/select the lyrical lines continuously in their entirety, which is extremely critical. I'm trying to avoid a table-like solution, because this data is not tabular at all. The chord line and the lyric line are meant to be read as one continuous line, not a set of cells. Also, apart from the design philosophy reasons, I think it might have the same problems as the previous thing bullet point. If this is possible, what div/span attributes should I be using? Can you provide sample css? If this is not possible, can it be done with javascript? EDIT: I'm sorry I wasn't clear at the start, but I would like a solution that allows both the chord line and the lyric line to be "selectable" and continuous.

  • MSBuild - How to build a .NET solution file (in an XML task script) from pre-written command line commands

    Hello. I have been studying MSBuild as I have the need to automate my development shop's builds. I was able to easily write a .BAT file that invokes the VS command prompt and passes my MSBuild commands to it. This works rather well and is kinda nifty. Here is the contents of my .BAT build file: call "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\VC\bin\amd64\vcvars64.bat" cd C:\Sandbox\Solution msbuild MyTopSecretApplication.sln /p:OutputPath=c:\TESTMSBUILDOUTPUT /p:Configuration=Release,Platform=x86 pause ^ This works well but I now have the need to use the MSBuild task for TeamCity CI. I have tried to write a few MSBuild scripts but I cannot get them to work the same. What is the equivalent build script to the command I am using in my .BAT file? Any ideas?
