  • how you usually quiting/closing vimdiff mode?

    Hello, I am using vim with fugitive extension http://www.vim.org/scripts/script.php?script_id=2975 It has :Gdiff command which brings you into vimdiff mode, but what is the right/quick way to close/quit vimdiff mode? i.e. let's say I am editing file FooBar.txt under git repository, then firing up :Gdiff, review my changes in vimdiff and want to get back and continue editing FooBar.txt or any other file :) Thanks.

  • nested iFrame facebook app with facebooker on IE

    Hi all, I've tried to create simple facebook app with iFrame,, but I always get nested iFrame on every I click link on my application, I already tried a solution from site http://railsrant.com/2009/10/14/creating-a-facebook-iframe-app-using-ruby-on-rails-facebooker/ it's work on Firefox and Chrome, but doesn't work at IE Any idea or suggestion for this?   • Whats happening to my HTML?

    I am making changes to my website, and I just noticed that things look different. In IE, the content doesnt center, theres a margin on my content, and the font looks bigger in chrome.. I ran it through Yahoo's HTML validator and the error I get is line 1 - Error: character "" not allowed in prolog. I believe that there may be some sort of whitespace being sent before the DOC TYPE, but I cant seem to fix it. The HTML looks fine in my text editor (Notepad++) so I dont know what the problem is. Im using a strict DOC Type. Everything was fine before I made any changes, but I cant pinpoint what caused the change. If it helps, I'm using a Framework (Kohana). My initial thought was that something was being sent to the browser by an echo or something, but I couldnt find any echo statements. I dont know what could be causing this... If you want to see any code or HTML just ask. Thanks.     I'm learning perl and everytime I search for perl stuff in the internet I get some random page with people saying that perl should die because code written in it looks like a lesson in steganography. Then they say that python is clean and stuff like that. Now, I know that those comparisons are always stupid and made by fellows that feel that languages are a extension of their boring personality so, let me ask instead: can you give me the implementation of a widely known algorithm to deal with a data structure like red-black trees in both languages so I can compare?

    I've used the developer tools on Chrome, FF and IE, and on IE, it's extremely slow. I was trying to debug iGoogle and it took about 3 minutes to even open the tools page. Can anyone confirm that it's that slow? It works fine on small websites though.

  • Using waitForCondition ( script,timeout ) in Selenium IDE

    I recorded a script using the Selenium IDE extension for Firefox, and I would like to add the command waitForCondition. I see it takes two arguments: script and timeout. In Selenium IDE, I have 3 text fields for each command: the command name (I assume "waitForCondition"), the target, and the value. Where and how should I put the two arguments in this UI?

  • Is html font size using em still important

    In a web LOB web based SaaS product we are developing that we explicitly not support IE 6, only IE7/8, FF 3, Chrome, Opera, WebKit etc... which allow px resize as standard, is it still important to use em rather than px? Its a lot more work to consider the compute font size (size em are computed from their inheritance chain) especially when nesting html reuse components where a font-size has already been specified in an outer container.

    Hey there, i have tried to render some files with HAML in Rails 3. But HAMl doesn`t work. My testfiles have the extension .html.haml. In the GEMFile i have written gem 'haml' and executed the bundle install When i call my testapp i become an error like this: Template is missing Missing template posts/index with {:locale=>[:en, :en], :formats=>[:html], :handlers=>[:rjs, :rhtml, :rxml, :builder, :erb]} in view paths "/Users/piet/Sites/blog/app/views" Hope, i become some help here.     I'm not sure I understand the difference between the html.erb files and erb files in the views for a Ruby on Rails application. (Similarly for haml files.) What are the dis/advantages of each (html.erb/haml or erb/haml) files? PS I'm not asking about the difference between the erb and haml files -- just appending the extension to an html file versus not appending it.

I've read/watched quite a few theming tutorials but none of them mentioned these files for theming, only the template.php.     When viewing a jpg or mp3 in Windows Explorer, the bottom pane shows metadata from the media file. Furthermore, for video and picture, the icon is shown as a preview of the media. Is there a way to add this kind of functionality to windows for custom file types that aren't supported by default in windows? Is there a certain sort of plugin or extension that must be written? If so, how is it implemented? Thank you.

    Hello, i m new to sharepoint and i m trying to create one webpart (hello word) in visual studio 2008 using sharepoint extension... solution is successfully build but it gives me error as soon as i start deploy it.... I have specified the Sharepoint site url in the Project solution property.... Can u please give me suggession for this why i m getting the error...Object Reference not set to an instance of an object.
