    I have an ASP.NET MVC site that uses both Microsoft Ajax [Ajax.BeginForm()] and jQuery to make asynchronous requests. I want to configure both frameworks such that a generic error handler is automatically attached if the developer does not explicitly specify a failure callback. In jQuery I can accomplish this with either .ajaxSetup() or .ajaxError(). What is the equivalent in the Microsoft Ajax client library? I'm fairly sure it's something in the Sys object but I can't find it...

  • iPhone app distribution: What name will appear on the AppStore?

    Hi there, Is there a way to change the name that displays on the AppStore, rather than the name associated with the credit card/apple ID associated with the developer programme? For example, if my name on my credit card was foo, and the name on the apple ID was foo, but I actually want the name displayed on the AppStore (i.e. next to my App's name and details) to be bar.     Sometimes I watch screen casts where someone is using text mate. I'm a rails developer, so these are rails screen casts. They'll type something like: def for example and "end" will automatically appear underneath. I do have the bundle for Rails enabled - why doesn't this happen for me? Thanks!

    I am writing a java servlet (struts/JSP etc). I am trying to style a progress bar using CSS in a JSP page but get this error when using chrome's developer tools: Resource interpreted as image but transferred with MIME type text/plain. <%@ include file="../include/css/default.css" % And in the CSS file: background:url(../images/bg_bar.gif) no-repeat 0 0; Could anyone explain why this is and show how I can use this CSS in my page?

    Please, have a look at: http://twitter.github.com/bootstrap/base-css.html There are many examples like this one: if you look closer to the block borders, you can see that the gray block is under the white one. Using the browser's developer tools you can see that both boxes have an inherited z-index: auto; I can't reproduce this effect on my website (without using z-index). So, my question is: Why is the gray block under the white one?

We decided to use another statistics plugin which can connect to a different database server (the first plugin couldn't!) however we need parts of the first plugin.     I have installed Visual Studio Express Web Developer 2010 and boy it really slows my system down a lot. Is there a way to identify the services like SQL Server and set them to manual so I can avoid all my memory resources been occupied when not using Visual Studio? Is it just SQL Express the problem or are there any other things I should consider disabling in order to have a fast and reliable system when not using Visual Studio? Thanks!

As I look at MVC it feels as if I'm looking at the result of something a Ruby on Rails developer implemented after being forced to work in MS land. So I'm wondering: Was MVC more or less taken directly from Ruby on Rails and it's concepts? (either intentionally or unintentionally)
