  Hi, I'm maintaining a vb6 project(ActiveX DLL). When debugging, the app run into the following function: Public Function HasValue(ByVal vValue) As Boolean On Error GoTo Err If IsMissing(vValue) Then HasValue = False ElseIf IsNull(vValue) Or Len(vValue) = 0 Then HasValue = False ElseIf isEmpty(vValue) Then HasValue = False Else HasValue = True End If Exit Function Err: If IsArray(vValue) Or IsObject(vValue) Then HasValue = True Else HasValue = False End If End Function and it stops at the line ElseIf IsNull(vValue) Or Len(vValue) = 0 Then vValue is a custom object, contains some properties(obviously, not null). Although I didn't put any break point there, the app stopped there and alerted error dialog saying that "Run-time error '438': Object doesn't support this property or method". We had error handling code but the app didn't run to error handling code. It just stopped at the line causing the error and I had to stop the application. Do you have any idea about that?   I've created a window that has some containers and widgets in it, and I want to add a new widget dynamically at run-time to one of the Vboxes in this window. So I have this code, which brings up the window: gtk_builder_add_from_file( g_builder, "window.xml", NULL ); mainwindow = GTK_WIDGET( gtk_builder_get_object( g_builder, "window" )); gtk_widget_show( mainwindow ); Then I create a new label, for example, and add it to one of the existing Vboxes, called "vbox_mid", like this: label = gtk_label_new( "Test label" ); vbox = GTK_WIDGET( gtk_builder_get_object( g_builder, "vbox_mid" )); gtk_box_pack_end( GTK_BOX( vbox ), label, TRUE, TRUE, 0 ); But this doesn't seem to work. I don't see a new label in the vbox. I have a feeling I'm missing something here, but I can't see what it is. I thought perhaps there was a special GtkBuilder call to add a widget dynamically, but I don't see anything that looks like that. I would really appreciate any help on this.

  I have a string S. How can I find if the string follows S = nT. Examples: Function should return true if 1) S = "abab" 2) S = "abcdabcd" 3) S = "abcabcabc" 4) S = "zzxzzxzzx" But if S="abcb" returns false. I though maybe we can repeatedly call KMP on substrings of S and then decide. eg: for "abab": call on KMP on "a". it returns 2(two instances). now 2*len("a")!=len(s) call on KMP on "ab". it returns 2. now 2*len("ab")==len(s) so return true Can you suggest any better algorithms?

I thought the ListView would automatically detect when to show the empty view.   I have the absolutely most simple setup imaginable. A single table defined in an Entity model in ASP.net v4, the model is bound directly to a GridView with AutoGenerateEditButton enabled. However, each time I hit edit, then save, the page throws the error “Update is disabled for this control" for which I cannot find a solution. What is causing this error?   What is the best way to evaluate simple conditional statements like: "a>b" ? "x-4<10+y & y>x" ? Expressions are loaded from external file. Variables are set in application. Syntax used is not essential. It may be "&" or "and" or any other supported with language/library. I need to take different action depending on result of evaluation - is it true or false. Could I use any parser already included with Andorid? Is there some way to use JS "eval" from browser component? Is it possible to use sqlite expressions to get true/false result without selecting anything? Those libraries are implemented in native code. Will it be faster and less battery expensive?

• Reading in a file - Warning Message in R

  I have a file that has 22268 rows BY 2521 columns. When I try to read in the file using this line of code: file <- read.table(textfile, skip=2, header=TRUE, sep="\t", fill=TRUE, blank.lines.skip=FALSE) I get the following error: Warning message: In scan(file, what, nmax, sep, dec, quote, skip, nlines, na.strings, : number of items read is not a multiple of the number of columns I also used this command to see what rows had an incorrect number of columns: x <-count.fields("train.gct", sep="\t", skip=2) which(x != 2521) and got back a list of about 20 rows that were incorrect. Is there a way to fill these rows with NA values? I thought that is what the "fill" parameter does in the read.table function, but it doesn't appear so. Any help would be greatly appreciated. • grailsApplication not getting injected in a service , Grails 2.1.0

  I have service in which i am accessing few configuration properties from grailsApplication I am injecting it like this class MyWebService{ def grailsApplication WebService webService = new WebService() def getProxy(url, flag){ return webService.getClient(url) } def getResponse(){ def proxy = getProxy(grailsApplication.config.grails.wsdlURL, true) def response = proxy.getItem(ItemType) return response } } When i call getProxy() method, i see this in tomcat logs No signature of method: org.example.MyWebService.getProxy() is applicable for argument types: (groovy.util.ConfigObject, java.lang.Boolean) values: [[:], true] Possible solutions: getProxy(), getProxy(java.lang.String, boolean), setProxy(java.lang.Object) which means grailsApplication is not getting injected into the service, is there any alternate way to access configuration object ? according to burtbeckwith's post configurationholder has been deprecated, can't think of anything else. Interestingly the very same service works fine in my local IDE(GGTS 3.1.0), that means locally grailsApplication is getting injected, but when i create a war to deploy to a standalone tomcat, it stops getting injected.
