    I have a problem with port forwarding with my torrent, port check tool says that it open, the firewall exception as well. But with the test by the client not say so. I don't know why.     I'm on Fedora 14, and OpenOffice 3.3.0 takes a long time to open (about 30 seconds, sometimes less). It isn't a CPU or disk performance issue, it's just simply a very long delay before the program opens. It appears to be a frivolous network connection timing out. According to Wireshark, it tries to look up: dulcimer.(none) which fails, after which it tries to look up: dulcimer.(none).mylitestream.com (dulcimer is my hostname, and LiteStream is my ISP) Is there a way to work around this bug in OpenOffice?

    I have a large file I want to transfer using either Internet storage hosting, DVD-Rs or USB storage, which sometimes is limited to FAT file-systems (for example: mobile phones) What I'm basically looking for is a tool that create multiple files/volumes (less than 2GB each - FAT's file size limit) which are packed with a self-extracting executable. Currently the only tool I found doing this is WinRAR, but that's shareware, and not free. Is there any Free, preferably Open-Source tool that does that? Thank in advance

    In Excel 2007, when I click a hyperlink, it opens in IE. I'm running XP Professional SP3. Firefox is set as my default browser. Links in Word and Outlook open in Firefox. Is there a way (or some application) that can add some mark to application icon in Dock if it has more than one window open?

    I use FileZilla, and I thought when a session ended, it automatically closed the ftp connection, but that doesn't appear to have happened because now I'm getting a "530 Sorry, the maximum number of connections (10) for your host are already connected." error. Is there a way to find any open ftp connections and close them from my end? Or, do I have to contact the host?

    Hi all, I am trying to connect to mysql database on amazon through a php script, but I am shown this error: Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Lost connection to MySQL server at 'reading initial communication packet', system error: 111 I have tried and searched places and did the following things: In "/etc/mysql/my.cnf" I commented out the line bind address: 127.0.0.1 to allow the acccess to all. checked /etc/hosts.allow and /etc/hosts.deny and made sure that there are no rules present that may cause But still no luck.   • Can't re-open "Group My Tabs" page after killing Firefox

    Due to memory problems I closed Firefox whilst the Group My Tabs (Ctrl+e) feature was displaying the multiple tab groups. After 20 minutes the process still hadn't finished so killall firefoxed it. When I restart Firefox, there is a Javascript process called tabview.js that hangs unless I click Stop at the warning screen. If I do hit Stop then I can no longer open the tabview, so I can't get to any of the tabs except in the subgroup I was last looking at. Any suggestions?
