  I just bought a domain mydomain.com and a vps cpanel / whm. I am wondering how could I get nameservers as ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com for the mydomain.com itself? Having secondary nameserver outside is the really possible way to do that?

In my .ready() function I have: jQuery("#id_of_anchor").click(function(event) { //start function when any update link is clicked Function_that_does_ajax(); }); and my anchor looks like this: <a href="#" id="id_of_anchor"> link text </a> but when the link is clicked, the ajax function is performed as desired, but the browser scrolls to the top of the page. not good. I've tried adding: event.preventDefault(); before calling my function that does the ajax, but that doesn't help. What am I missing? Clarification I've used every combination of return false; event.preventDefault(); event.stopPropagation(); before and after my call to my js ajax function. It still scrolls to the top.

• error handler isn't called when file is uploaded via ajax using jQuery form plugin

  Here's my test case. If the form is posted, a 500 error response is sent. If not, the form is sent. If the file input tag is commented out, the error handler is called. If the file input tag is present, the error handler isn't called. I think this might have something to do with the fact that jQuery needs to use an iframe to handle the upload and iframes don't seem to respond to the error handler. Edit: If I add iframe: true to the options passed to ajaxSubmit to force the use of an iframe, the non-file-upload case stops working also, so it definitely has to do with the iframe.   In Javascript code, I would like to programmatically cause the browser to follow a link that's on my page. Simple case: <a id="foo" href="mailto:somebody@example.com">something</a> function goToBar() { $('#foo').trigger('follow'); } This is hypothetical as it doesn't actually work. And no, triggering click doesn't do it. I am aware of window.location and window.open but these differ from native link-following in some ways that matter to me: a) in the presence of a <base /> element, and b) in the case of mailto URLs. The latter in particular is significant. In Firefox at least, calling window.location.href = "mailto:somebody@example.com" causes the window's unload handlers to fire, whereas simply clicking a mailto link does not, as far as I can tell. I'm looking for a way to trigger the browser's default handling of links, from Javascript code. Does such a mechanism exist? Toolkit-specific answers also welcome (especially for Gecko).

Isn't "Google Play services" app the same as the "Google Play" app? Another question I have, due to lack of documentation: what is the scope parameter for? • Can a Silverlight application authenticate versus a local LDAP/ActiveDirectory Server

  If I have an externally hosted application (www.outside.com) outside the firewall but users within a company wanted to be able to enable LDAP authentication against their local (behind the firewall) AD server (acting as LDAP) or other LDAP server (call it ldap.inside.com), how would this be done. It seems technically possible in that when a user tried to login to outside.com through a client-side silverlight interface, that the SL app could connect to the outside.com login service and be told to authenticate that user against ldap.inside.com. The SL app would make the calls to ldap.inside.com to authenticate the user. Of course, there is the issue of how the server is notified securely that the client authenticated itself...Has anyone done this?

  I want to modify the stock JQuery UI slider so that the handle has a arrow on it rather than being a square. i.e. I want to use a custom image as the handle. • Nginx dynamic upstream configuration / routing

  I was experimenting with dynamic upstream configuration for nginx and cant find any good solution to implement upstream configuration from third-party source like redis or mysql. The idea behind it is to have a single file configuration in primary server and proxy requests to various app servers based on environment conditions. Think of dynamic deployments where you have X servers that are running Y workers on different ports. For instance, i create a new app and deploy. App manager selects a server and then rolls out a worker (Ruby/PHP/Python) and then reports the ip:port to the central database with status "up". At this time when i go to the given url nginx should proxy all requests to the specified ip:port upstream. The whole thing is pretty similar to what heroku does, except this proof-of-concept is not supposed to be production ready, mostly for internal needs. The easiest solution i found was using resolver with ruby-based DNS server. It works, nginx gets the IP address correctly, but the only problem is that you cant define port number for that IP. Second solution (which i havent tried yet) is to roll something else as a proxy server, maybe written in Erlang. In this case we need to use something to serve static content. • Windows 7 Apache Crashes on ANY request

  I have XAMPP installed. I am running Windows 7. I have WordPress installed so that I may tweak it and test things locally before putting them 'live' on a remote server. I just installed BuddyPress. The installation was rather seamless. I activated the plugin and almost immediately, Apache crashed. I have Apache running as a service so it immediately restarted itself and was running BUT if I even so much as refresh the page (or create any other request), down it goes. • Looking for a help desk ticketing system..

  Hi guys Im looking for a good help desk ticket solution. It must perform the following actions for it to be useful. It needs to have a single point of contact via email..e.g helpdesk@mycompany.com If we recieve a telephone(or an email outside of the system) we need to be able to create a ticket as if had been added via the single point of contact, this needs to be done with ease in order to save time. Certain people within our organisation deal with certain customers, so if the email/ custom input support call as mentioned in bullet 2 is picked up as having a relationship with that certain person in our organisation it needs to be sent to them/put in their queue for them to work on. If a person is out of office or sick any tickets sent to them must be forwarded to somebody else or put into a seperate pool of tickets that anybody can access. Perhaps have an agent that sorts through tickets in the pool and assigns them to anybody who is available, preferably the person with fewest tickets in their queue/list. Once a customer emails and the system logs it they immediately get a response with a ticket number and maybe details of who is dealing with the problem. Any correspondance in relation to a particular ticket is automatically grouped into some sort of message, and not made into a load of separate tickets. I.e system scans incoming email subjects for ticket numbers and assosciates it with exisiting tickets if that number exists. Any help is much appreciated Thanks P.S I have taken a look at OTRS but i'm not feeling it so unless someone can convince me I guess i'm after an alternative.

Now this is most likely because you missed the fact that I am a newbie and assuming I can fill in any blanks. I hope somebody can break this down for me and provide a solution, and perhaps explain why I can't just create a View element in my main.xml layotu file and draw on it in code.

• Help with force close occurrences in my app

  This is the last issue with this app. Periodic force close situations. I think something should be on another thread but I'm not sure what. Anyway, I can always count on a freeze on first install. If I wait, eventually (maybe 10 seconds) the app comes around, maybe more. here is an excerpt from logcat--the three lines occur after full layout is displayed and I attempt to touch a [game] 'peg' which should spawn a sprite, but the freeze occurs there. • Problems with matching emails with regex

  Hello, I'm trying to match an email address here is what I've come up with so far : String text = "gandalf_storm@mymail.com"; String regex = "(\\w+)@{1}(\\w+){2,}\\.{1}\\w{2,4}"; This however works with following cases : gandalf_storm@mymail.com gandalfstorm@mymail.com gandalf2storm@mymail.com So it matches any alphanumeric character repeated once or more that comes before one @ followed by any alphanumeric character repeated at least two times(which is minimal characters for any domain name) followed by one .(dot) and followed by any alphanumeric character repeated at least 2 times and at most 4 times(because there are domains such as .us or .mobi). This expression however does not work with emails such as : gandalf.storm@mymail.com [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] etc as many subdomains or gandalf.storm@mymail.com [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] I've just started to learn regex and I found interesting to try to solve problems such as these by using regex .. not partially but for each case, any help would be much appriciated. • Django & google openid authentication with socialauth

  Hello I am trying to use django-socialauth (http://github.com/uswaretech/Django-Socialauth) for authenticating users for my django project. This is firs time working with openid and i've had to figure out how exactly this open id works. I have more or less understood it, by now, but there are few things that elude me. The authentication process starts when the request is put together in in django-socialauth.openid_consumer.views.begin. Why i am asking all this is, that perhaps i am doing something wrong and my outgoing request is wrong?
