  Hey all Just trying to work out how to use this function glTexCoordPointer. Here is the man pages http://www.opengl.org/sdk/docs/man/xhtml/glTexCoordPointer.xml which states that I must set a pointer to the first element of the array that uses the texture cordinate.   I've been trying to learn OpenGL ES 2.0 to create a simple 2D game. I bought a book on android development, but after seeing that the author uses his own SDK that implements OpenGL ES 1.0 I decided to just use online tutorials. I've been so lost trying to find out what to use. The Matrices and shaders of 2.0 confuse me and I can't find any tutorial that just explains how to texture map a simple 2D image. Basically: OpenGL ES 1.x or 2.0 for simple 2D with little OpenGL experience If 2.0 Any good tutorials for 2.0, I've found so many for 1.0

• Unable to Install [closed]

  I have been trying to install Ubuntu on my PC for some time now. I tried wubi, but am unable to get it right. Then, I downloaded the ISO and tried to install it on an empty without partitioning, but the keyboard acts wierd and goes on typing automatically one particular letter that was typed while trying to enter IPv4 settings (2222222222 or ............, etc...) and also I get an error about some fsyncing\sdk\resourses something like that. Please help me. UPDATE: I managed to install it but I get a blank screen after logging in. Just the wallpaper shows up! Help me.

• Android design advice - services & broadcast receivers

  I'm in the process of learning the Android SDK and creating some projects to get a grasp on the system. The current project I'm working with works just fine but I'd like to get some advice about other ways I can go about designing it. Here's what it needs to do. When a text message is received from a specific number, it should fire off a toast message that repeats at a certain interval for a specific duration. To make this work, I created an SMS BroadcastReceiver and checked the incoming messages for the number I'm looking for. If found, an IntentService would be started that would pull out the interval and duration from saved shared prefs. The IntentService would then fire off a broadcast. The BroadcastReceiver for this would catch it and use the AlarmManager to handle the toast message repetitions. This all works just fine, but I'm wondering if there's a cleaner or more efficient way of going about doing this? Any suggestions or advice?

  I made a partition on my desktop pc, 100 GB and installed Ubuntu 12.10 on it. It was pretty slow first thought it had to install updates or something, so I rebooted it. Now after the login it looks like everything freezes, I can move my mouse only, but that's it! I can see my desktop and launcher, but the task bar doesn't display time and misc system info, only a black bar, I downloaded the Android SDK pack and installed vlc media player before I rebooted. My computer info: 1 TB HDD 8 GB ddr3 RAM ATI Radeon 4890 videocard (1 GB) AMD Phenom 2 x4 black 3, 2ghz CPU (64 bits)

  I'm a native Windows user, running 7 Home Premium atm. In the past I installed Ubuntu 10 on my netbook I believe, but was a bit 'scared' by it. • Drivers for GeForce 7300 GS?

  I have been searching EVERYWHERE!!!!! And I cannot seem to find a driver for my GeForce 7300 GS video card. If I don't get it, the Android SDK emulator won't work. I get this error while starting the emulator up: X Error of failed request: BadRequest (invalid request code or no such operation) Major opcode of failed request: 154 (GLX) Minor opcode of failed request: 19 (X_GLXQueryServerString) Serial number of failed request: 12 Current serial number in output stream: 12 I looked up anything and everything, and the results I got was to get a video card driver, which I can not find. • Biztalk Schema generator in Visual Studio -- How to enable 'Well-Formed XML' ? [migrated]

  I have installed Visual Studio 2010 and Biztalk. I create a new Biztalk-project in Visual STudio 2010. I choose 'Add new item' and then 'New generated schema'. Here I can choose 'Document type'. I choose 'Well-Formed XML (Not loaded)' and choose an input file. Now I get the message 'XFW to XSD schema generation module is not installed. Execute 'C:\Program files (X86)\Microsoft Biztalk Server 2010\SDK\Utilities\Schema Generator\InstallWFX.vbs to install the WFX to XSD schema generation module. I try to execute that file and some text hastily appear on the console. I restart Visual Studio 2010, but it still doesn't work. Apparently the execution of the shell script didn't work. I try to restart the computer, but it still doesn't work. Could anyone tell me what to do?

• Windows Phone 7 emulator on a VM?

  It seems that the Windows Phone 7 SDK doesn't support running inside a VM. On Parallels, the entire VM simply crashes when the emulator is starting up. Around the web, though, a few people have reported that they were able to use it by changing a lot of the VM settings. What do I have to change to be able to run it? I'm specially interested in Parallels, but VMWare or any other simulator that run on OSX if fine for me!
