  • How to suppress the inclusion of the .Net framework in a installation package created with visual st

    I built a very simple installation package that only consists of some merge modules. The Setup project explorer shows no dependencies on .Net for these merge modules (and it should not). However, on building the .msi file a requierement for .Net is added to it. Can this be avoided, or do I have to use a third party .msi builder? (I tried the obvious unchecking of any checkbox in the requierements listbox.)

  • Building proper link with spaces

    Hello, I have the following code in Python: linkHTML = "<a href=\"page?q=%s\">click here</a>" % strLink The problem is that when strLink has spaces in it the link shows up as <a href="page?q=with space">click here</a> I can use strLink.replace(" ","+") But I am sure there are other characters which can cause errors. I tried using urllib.quote(strLink) But it doesn't seem to help. Thanks! Joel

  • Why did my ASP.NET Web App stop showing AM in times?

    I haven't made any code or configuration changes (that I know of) to my ASP.NET web application and this morning it suddenly stopped showing the AM in my displayed times. PM still shows up, just not AM. It's hosted on Windows Server 2003. I figured somehow the OS regional settings might have been changed somehow, but that doesn't appear to be the case. How could this have happened?

  • Calculating MKV duration

    Hello, I have written a simple database program to keep track of my downloaded movies and tv shows, they tend to be in AVI or MKV formats. My program reads the header of the files to get details like resolution, codec and so on. The problem is converting the track duration value I pull out of an MKV file in to seconds, the documentation states that the time code should be used but I don't seem to be able to turn that in to the correct time. Can anyone help?

  • Generic Open Source REST Client?

    I want a simple client that takes a few parameters (Method, URL, Parameters), makes an HTTP request, and shows me the results that were returned. A browser obviously can easily send GET and POST requests, but I have no good ideas on DELETE and UPDATE. Did I miss something in browser 101, or is there a common freeware tool to do this? I've seen other threads that give me Java APIs for a simple client, but that's not what I'm looking for.

    I ran ldd command on an executable created by Open MPI. It shows a reference to libpthread.so Using LD_PRELOAD variable I created my own implementation of pthread_create, but from the it output it seems that MPI implementation is not calling pthread_create as I had expected. Why does ldd show pthread so file in output if it is not being used? does Open MPI not use a separate MPI thread for every node to implement the functionality?

  • Flex bug?? Get messed up stacked ColumnChart with type="100%"

    I am trying to do a stacked Column chart with type="100%" and a mixture of positive and negative values. When all the values are positive, is functions well, but when negative numbers come to the game, it looks totally messed up. Isn't it a Flex Bug? I have my own case with such data and it behaves wrong the same way. I'd expect that if it has 800 stacked on -200, it will show 80% up and 20% down, totalling 100%.     I have written a java application which is a RMI server. I need to start rmiregistry to run this application and i also want my apllication to start automatically when the system starts. I have converted my application into a windows servise. When i try to start my service it shows this error Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly Is it because my program throws an exception when my application is started before the rmiregistry is started.

  • Render as html from a remote link on Rails

    On my registration form i want to show a modal (of twitter-bootstrap) when the user has a successfull signup to tell him to check his email so i put "remote: true" on my form and render a .js.erb wich shows the modal, on my controller. BUT, in case of inputs errors i need to render the page as html to refresh de form showing those errors. Can I call the controller from the remote form as JS but render as html? (or any other idea to do what i want) Thanks!
