  Let's say I have two tables with several fields and in every table there is a primary key which is a technical id generated by a database sequence: table1 table2 ------------- ------------- field11 <pk> field21 <pk> field12 field22 field11 and field21 are generated by sequences. Also there is a n:m-relationship between table1 und table2, designed in table3: table3 ------------- field11 <fk> field21 <fk> The ids in table1 und table2 are generated during the insert statement: INSERT INTO table1 VALUES (table1_seq1.NEXTVAL, ... INSERT INTO table2 VALUES (table2_seq1.NEXTVAL, ... Therefore I don't know the primary key of the added row in the data-access-layer of my program, because the generation of the pk happens completely in the database. What's the best practice to update table3 now? How can I gain access to the primary key of the rows I just inserted?

  I'm building an 'add new row' function for product variations, and I'm struggling with the regex required to match the form attribute keys. So, I'm basically cloning rows, then incrementing the keys, like this (coffeescript): newrow = oldrow.find('select, input, textarea').each -> this.name = this.name.replace(/\[(\d+)\]/, (str, p1) -> "[" + (parseInt(p1, 10) + 1) + "]" ) this.id = this.id.replace(/\_(\d+)\_/, (str, p1) -> "_" + (parseInt(p1, 10) + 1) + "_" ) .end() This correctly increments a field with a name of product[variations][1][name], turning it into product[variations][2][name] BUT Each variation can have multiple options (eg, color can be red, blue, green), so I need to be able turn this product[variations][1][options][2][name] into product[variations][1][options][3][name], leaving the variation key alone. What regex do I need to match only the last occurrence of a key (the options key)?

  I have created a custom UITableViewCell, but when I dequeue the cell, sometimes it throws an NSInvalidArgumentException: [UITableViewCell nameLabel]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x3b4e7f0 Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '* -[UITableViewCell nameLabel]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x3b4e7f0' Now, my custom UITableViewCell does have an attribute nameLabel, so I am confused why it is throwing this error.   I have a JSON array that look like this: (array here) I'm trying to use Flex to display each Project and its Milestone elements similar to a nested for-loop for 15 seconds per Milestone element before advancing to the next Project.   Hi All, I am using silverlight unit tests to test an important part of our site. Is it possible to clear cookies before each unit test runs? The problem is that if I do this, HtmlPage.Document.Cookies = ""; It doesn't work. If the cookie already was this, key = value I can do this, HtmlPage.Document.Cookies = "key="; It kind of clears it out, but the string "key" is still part of the cookie. Any ideas? Are there any other classes in .NET that deal with cookies? The functionality seems quite limited when I am dealing with more complicated scenarios.

  I have a time-series simulation model which has more than 10 input variables. The number of distinct simulation instances would be more than 1 million, and each simulation instance generates a few output rows every day. To save the simulation result in a relational database, i designed tables like this. Table SimulationModel { simul_id : integer (primary key), input0 : string or numeric, input1 : string or numeric, ...} Table SimulationOutput { dt : DateTime (primary key), simul_id : integer (primary key), output0 : numeric, ...} My question is, is it fine to put an unique constraint on all of the input columns of SimulationModel table? If it is not a good idea, then what kind of other options do i have to make sure each model is unique?

  Hi all, I have two questions about Google's dense_hash_map, which can be used instead of the more standard unordered_map or hash_map: How do I use an arbitrary binary data memory segment as a key: I want a buffer+length pair, which may still contain some NUL (\0) characters. I can see how I use a NUL-terminated char * string , but that's not what I want. How do I implement an operation where I look if a key exists, and if not - insert it and if it does return the pointer to the existing key and let me know what actually happened. • (VB or C#) Run app in system tray and listen to keyboard input even when the app is not in focus

  I want to make an app which on loading sits in the system tray and even after I open another program (say notepad or vlc or anything) i.e. even when the app is not in focus and if I press "G" on my keyboard, the tray icon should show a tool tip - "key G is pressed". I have tried several codes but nothing works when the app goes out of focus. I can use Register Hot Key (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms646309(VS.85).aspx) but it needs a modifier also (like Ctrl or Alt etc. along with my key G). So, is there any way I can achieve this? something which many tray icons do like antivirus apps, etc. and I do not want to use AutoHotkey application. I want to build one but need some help. Thanks!

  I would like to generate a Data Dictionary for a SQL Server 2008 database that has one row for each field, and the following columns: table_name field_name data_type link_table (for when the field in question is a foreign key) link_field (for when the field in question is a foreign key) I can get the first 3 columns with something like the SQL script below...but I don't know how to get the last two columns of foreign key information. I have used var and then iterating over it got the result. But without that any other way by which I can do it? Using C# 3.0 Thanks

• How do I mimic Windows Explorer multi-select/drag-n-drop behavior in a DataGridView?

  I'm trying to mimic the way Windows Explorer handles multiple selection. In a default DataGridView, you can select multiple items using Ctrl-click. But if you release the Ctrl key and then try and drag/drop the selected items, it clears the selected items and only selects the "hit" row. I found the following solution somewhere online. protected override OnMouseDown(MouseEventArgs e) { int hitRowIndex = HitTest(e.X, e.Y).RowIndex; if(!SelectedRows.Contains(Rows[hitRowIndex])) { base.OnMouseDown(); } } However, this causes other side effects. With the CTRL key pressed and mousing down on a selected item, the item remains selected. This makes sense because the mousedown event is bypassed if the row clicked on is selected. From looking at the behavior of Windows Explorer, it looks like the deselection of an item with the CTRL key held is not handled until the MouseUp event. Has anyone tried to do this?

  In PHP I have an array that looks like this: $array[0]['width'] = '100'; $array[0]['height'] = '200'; $array[2]['width'] = '150'; $array[2]['height'] = '250'; I don't know how many items there are in the array. Some items can be deleted which explains the missing [1] key. I want to add a new item after this, like this: $array[]['width'] = '300'; $array[]['height'] = '500'; However the code above don't work, because it adds a new key for each row. It should be the same for the two rows above. A clever way to solve it? An alternative solution would be to find the last key. I failed trying the 'end' function.

Now i created a function to fetch the list from a mysql table. $.get('get_zorgvormen.php', function(data) { var zvmlist = '{'+data+'}'; //alert(zvmlist); }); when i enable the alert function it shows me the var(array).
