  • How to syntax-highlight XML in CDATA elements in Vim?

    - by Jim Hurne
    Vim's syntax highlighting for XML/XSL is great, except it turns off all syntax highlighting in CDATA regions. Is there a way to turn on syntax highlighting on in CDATA regions? At work, we have a lot of XSL code embedded within other XML documents. It would be great if I could get all of the goodness of XML editing for the embedded XSL code as well without having to temporarily remove the CDATA tags, or copy the CDATA content into a temporary file. Example: <root> <someTag><![CDATA[ <xsl:template match="/"> <!-- XSL content here --> </xsl:template> ]]> </someTag> </root> Note that the name of the tag (in the example, someTag) containing the content could be anything. We also sometimes embed Javascript inside CDATA regions as well, and again, it would be nice to turn on Javascript syntax highlighting for those regions. Again, the tag the data is embedded in is usually arbitrary and can be anything.

  • set border for table with overflow is auto

    - by lucky
    Hi All, I would like to have a border for the table with class name as "wanttosetborder". Without the div it is setting border for this table. With the div tag, it is setting border till the last row before div tag,(i.e a line after H2 is displayed) after that no border is displayed. Please find the code below. <html> <head> <head> <style type="text/css"> #user{width: 50px;height:150px;overflow:auto;position:absolute} </style> </head> </head> <body> <TABLE class="wanttosetborder" CELLPADDING=1 cellspacing="1" border="1"> <tr><td>ABC</td></tr> <tr><td>H2</td></tr> <tr> <td> <div id="user"> <table> <?php for($i=1; $i<=10;$i++) { ?> <tr><td>123</td> </tr> <?php }?> </table> </div> </td> </tr> </TABLE> </body> </html>

  • SVN marking file production ready

    - by dan.codes
    I am kind of new to SVN, I haven't used it in detail basically just checking out trunk and committing then exporting and deploying. I am working on a big project now with several developers and we are looking for the best deployment process. The one thing we are hung up on is the best way to tag, branch and so on. We are used to CVS where all you have to do is commit a file and tag it as production ready and if not that code will not get deployed. I see that SVN handles tagging differently then CVS. I figure I am looking at this and making it overly complex. It seems the only way to work on a project and commit files without it being in the production code is to do it in a branch and then merge those changes when you are ready for it to be deployed. I am assuming you could also be working on other code that should be deployed so you would have to be switching between working copies, because otherwise you are working on a branch that isn't getting mixed in with the trunk or production branch? This process seems overly complex and I was wondering if anyone could give me what you think is the best process for managing this.

  • How to fix IllegalStateException error when trying to update a listview?

    - by Michael Vetrano
    Hi guys, I am trying to get this code to run, but I get an IllegalStateException when I run this code saying that the content of the listview wasn't notified, yet I have a notification upon updating the data. This is a custom listview adapter. Here is the relevant part of my code: class LoadingThread extends Thread { public void run() { int itemsOriginallyLoaded = 0; synchronized( items ) { itemsOriginallyLoaded = items.size(); } for( int i = itemsOriginallyLoaded ; i < itemsToLoad ; ++i ) { Log.d( LOG_TAG, "Loading item #"+i ); //String item = "FAIL"; //try { String item = "FAIL"; try { item = stockGrabber.getStockString(dataSource.get(i)); } catch (ApiException e) { Log.e(LOG_TAG, "Problem making API request", e); } catch (ParseException e) { Log.e(LOG_TAG, "Problem parsing API request", e); } //} catch (ApiException e) { // Log.e(TAG, "Problem making API request", e); //} catch (ParseException e) { // Log.e(TAG, "Problem parsing API request", e); //} synchronized( items ) { items.add( item ); } itemsLoaded = i+1; uiHandler.post( updateTask ); Log.d( LOG_TAG, "Published item #"+i ); } if( itemsLoaded >= ( dataSource.size() - 1 ) ) allItemsLoaded = true; synchronized( loading ) { loading = Boolean.FALSE; } } } class UIUpdateTask implements Runnable { public void run() { Log.d( LOG_TAG, "Publishing progress" ); notifyDataSetChanged(); } }

  • Using JQuery to traverse DOM structure, finding a specific <table> element located after HTML 'comme

    - by Shadow
    I currently have a website source code (no control over the source) which contains certain content that needs to be manipulated. This would be simple on the surface, however there is no unique ID attribute on the tag in question that can uniquely identify it, and therefore allow for further traversal. Here is a snippet of the source code, surrounding the tag in question. ... <td width="100%"> <!--This table snaps the content columns(one or two)--> <table border="0" width="100%"> ... Essentially, the HTML comment stuck out as an easy way to gain access to that element. Using the JQuery comment add-on from this question, and some help from snowlord comment below, I have been able to identify the comment and retrieve the following output using the 'dump' extension. $('td').comments().filter(":contains('This table snaps the content columns(one or two)')").dump(); returns; jQuery Object { 0 = DOMElement [ nodeName: DIV nodeValue: null innerHTML: [ 0 = String: This table snaps the content columns(one or two) ] ] } However I am not sure how to traverse to the sibling element in the DOM. This should be simple, but I haven't had much selector experience with JQuery. Any suggestions are appreciated.

  • JSP:Include not rendering the page correctly

    - by sreekanth
    am having trouble with including a jsp page with tag. This is what is happening. I making changes to a portlet application running on Websphere 7 server. This is the hierarchy of the jsp pages. blankPage.jsp --bookingViewTabs.jsp -- availableRooms.jsp meaning blankPage is included in bookingViewTabs which is inturn included in availableRooms.jsp I have 2 problems with this. (1). The blankPage.jsp does not render correctly on the screen. It gets cutoff (2). The other is in blankPage.jsp there is a form called "guestProfileSearchResultsFormId". this form has several hidden fields for data. example, "guestId" which is a child of that form and can be accessed formname.fieldname, but when i include that page into another jsp as the first include(there are several includes on the page) under the another form tag, the form field is not being rendered as a child of the form, but as a sibling of the form. If i change the order and include some other page and include this, it is working as it is supposed to have. meaning with children intact. I don't understand this behavior. I HAVE ATTACHED A GIF IMAGE OF WHAT I SEE ON THE BROWSER Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

  • event.stopPropagation(); doesn't behave as expected

    - by Ciprian Amaritei
    I read couple articles related to event.stopPropagation(); but none of the solutions provided works for me. Basically what I have is an accordion widget with all the elements collapsed by default. On each element header (dt tag) there is also a checkbox. Clicking the checkbox shouldn't trigger the accordion to make its elements expand. <dt data-toggle="collapse"> <span class="subscribe-checkbox"><button type="button" class="btn toggle-btn" data-toggle="button"></button></span> </dt> <dd> <p>Accordion content...</p> </dd> Clicking the span (which should act as a checkbox ) should add class "checked" to it. However it also expands the accordion element (dd tag). What I'm doing in jQuery is: $('.accordion-group .btn.toggle-btn').click(function (event) { event.stopPropagation(); }); While the accordion content isn't shown ( which is good) the element doesn't change class either, so it doesn't become 'checked'. I tried with .live() too and didn't work either. Thanks in advance, Ciprian.

  • Boost multi_index_container crash in release mode

    - by Zan Lynx
    I have a program that I just changed to using a boost::multi_index_container collection. After I did that and tested my code in debug mode, I was feeling pretty good about myself. However, then I compiled a release build with NDEBUG set, and the code crashed. Not immediately, but sometimes in single-threaded tests and often in multi-threaded tests. The segmentation faults happen deep inside boost insert and rotate functions related to the index updates and they are happening because a node has NULL left and right pointers. My code looks a bit like this: struct Implementation { typedef std::pair<uint32_t, uint32_t> update_pair_type; struct watch {}; struct update {}; typedef boost::multi_index_container< update_pair_type, boost::multi_index::indexed_by< boost::multi_index::ordered_unique< boost::multi_index::tag<watch>, boost::multi_index::member<update_pair_type, uint32_t, &update_pair_type::first> >, boost::multi_index::ordered_non_unique< boost::multi_index::tag<update>, boost::multi_index::member<update_pair_type, uint32_t, &update_pair_type::second> > > > update_map_type; typedef std::vector< update_pair_type > update_list_type; update_map_type update_map; update_map_type::iterator update_hint; void register_update(uint32_t watch, uint32_t update); void do_updates(uint32_t start, uint32_t end); }; void Implementation::register_update(uint32_t watch, uint32_t update) { update_pair_type new_pair( watch_offset, update_offset ); update_hint = update_map.insert(update_hint, new_pair); if( update_hint->second != update_offset ) { bool replaced _unused_ = update_map.replace(update_hint, new_pair); assert(replaced); } }

  • jquery CSS doesn't work in webkit

    - by Mauro74
    I'm trying to apply some css to an image tag if the image is portrait, but for some reason .css() doesn't work in webkit. Basically the image tag doesn't get the 'style' property. Here's my code: $(document).ready(function () { $('.listing .item .thumb img').each(function () { var _img = $(this); var _imgWidth = _img.outerWidth(); var _imgHeight = _img.outerHeight(); if (_imgHeight > _imgWidth) { _img.css('top', '-40%'); } }); }); <div class="listing about"> <div class="item"> <a href="#" class="thumb"> <img src="../_uploads/siteassets/images/thumb-carousel-2.jpg" /> <span class="frame"></span> </a> <span class="snippet"> <a href="#" class="title">Name Surname</a> <span class="date">Role in the company</span> <p class="description">Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet...</p> </span> </div> </div> I've tried to use .attr() instead of .css() but nothing. It doesn't work! Any idea why?

  • How to avoid CSS conflict using jquery?

    - by user2885137
    I am experiencing a CSS conflict issue. Here are the details: I have a search results page in which products are shown in grid format. The CSS for that is grid search results is "product-grid.css" which is included header of the page. On this page I have button which when clicked shows the search results in list format. The css for list format is "product-list.css" which is also included in head tag of the page. Now the HTML guy has made the name of classes to be same in both product-grid.css and product-list.css. What I want is that when I am viewing the page in grid style only product-grid.css should apply to respective portion of the page. And when I am viewing the page in list format then product-grid.css should be disabled and product-list.css should apply on whole page. I have tried enabling and disabling css files using jquery but may be I am doing something wrong. Also when the page loads both css files are active in head tag and due to conflict in classes names the page is malformed even without shifting to other view. Any help what should I do?

  • Alternative to using c:out to prevent XSS

    - by lynxforest
    I'm working on preventing cross site scripting (XSS) in a Java, Spring based, Web application. I have already implemented a servlet filter similar to this example http://greatwebguy.com/programming/java/simple-cross-site-scripting-xss-servlet-filter/ which sanitizes all the input into the application. As an extra security measure I would like to also sanitize all output of the application in all JSPs. I have done some research to see how this could be done and found two complementary options. One of them is the use of Spring's defaultHtmlEscape attribute. This was very easy to implement (a few lines in web.xml), and it works great when your output is going through one of spring's tags (ie: message, or form tags). The other option I have found is to not directly use EL expressions such as ${...} and instead use <c:out value="${...}" /> That second approach works perfectly, however due to the size of the application I am working on (200+ JSP files). It is a very cumbersome task to have to replace all inappropriate uses of EL expressions with the c:out tag. Also it would become a cumbersome task in the future to make sure all developers stick to this convention of using the c:out tag (not to mention, how much more unreadable the code would be). Is there alternative way to escape the output of EL expressions that would require fewer code modifications? Thank you in advance.

  • WPF TextBox Focus

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but I've tried every setting, inclduing setting it in the code to get it working. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  • Flash CS 4 / AS 2 + Dynamic Text + Html + Embedded fonts...

    - by AndreMiranda
    I have this scenario: 1) I have a dynamic text that receives its data from a XML. 2) The texts showed get theirs style from a CSS file. 3) My dynamic text has a html 'span' tag and it's formatted according to the CSS class that it's passed via the XML file. Ok... so far so good. It's something like: _root.txt.txtDica = "<span class='"+ node.childNodes[_global.auxCont].attributes.myStyle +"'>" + node.childNodes[_global.auxCont].attributes.myText+ "</span>"; The problem is that the swf has a poor quality text. So, I've been looking around, found some things about embedded fonts, Flash TextField() and etc. But, nothing seems to work. Does anyone know how can I generate this html tag in a dynamic text with a good quality? It's worth to say that I'm using regular fonts, such as Verdana and Arial. Thanks a lot!

  • JSP/Struts2/Hibernate: loop through a self-referencing table.

    - by TBW
    Hello everyone, Let's say we have a self-referencing table called PERSON, with the following columns: ID, PARENT, where PARENT is a foreign key to the ID column of another element in the PERSON table. Of course, many persons can have the same parent. I use Hibernate 3 in lazy fetching mode to deal with the database. Hibernate fetches a person element from the database, which is then put in the ValueStack by the Struts2 action, to be used on the result JSP page. Now the question is : In JSP, how can I do to display all the child (and the child's child, and so on, like a family tree) of this person element? Of course, for the n+1 children I can use the < s:iterator tag over the person.person. I can also nest another < s:iterator tag over person.person.person to get the n+2 children. But what if I want to do this in an automated manner, up to the last n+p child, displaying in the process all the children of all the n+1..n+p elements? I hope I have been clear enough. Thank you all for your time. -- TBW.

I know that there are libraries available for doing this , but wanted to do this manually.

  • Search dir using wildcard string, return filename, and loop.

    - by Charlie Murphy
    Hello all, I'm having some problems, and looking for some help. I'm trying to create a photo gallery in javascript, that will be able to 'update' it's self automatically. I need to be able to search a directory, and grab a file with a specific prefix. I need to output the followng HTML code: <li><a href="images/resize_FILENAME.ext"><img src="images/thumb_FILENAME.ext"></a></li> The 'resize_' and 'thumb_' use a timestamp to identify, so they have the same ending, just a different prefix. So, for example, if I search the directory for an image with a prefix of 'resize_', I need to insert that into the a tag, and then remove the '_resize' prefix, and add the '_thumb' prefix for the img tag. I then need to be able to do that for each image in the directory. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, I should add: I'm assuming php would be easiest for this, but if an alternative exists that would work too. I'm also using jQuery if javascript would be better.

  • Chrome extension custom cursor

    - by the_nakos
    Hi, I building an Google Chrome extension that place some IMG tag in sites. This img tag on :hover must show a custom cursor. The extension uses jQuery as its injected core script. I tried the following methods: 1. var cursor = 'url('+chrome.extension.getURL('icons/cursor.cur')+')'; $('#myImgId').css({ 'position': 'absolute', 'top':'5px', 'left':'5px', 'cursor':cursor }); This is the best working. On smaller sites its shows the cursor. On slower loading sites it does not. But on little sites it fails sometimes. 2. var cursor = 'url('+chrome.extension.getURL('icons/cursor.cur')+')'; $('<style>#myImgId{cursor:'+cursor+'}</style>').appendTo('head'); This did nothing at all. 3. In manifest.json I injected the css. "content_scripts": [ { "matches": ["http://*/*"], "css": ["css/style.css"], "js": ["j/c.js", "j/s.js"] } The css file just had the cursor:url(icons/cursor.cur) as I don't have idea, how to get real url in a css file. This isn't working at all. I think it must work like this, I didn't find reference for this on code.google though.

You can view the page here, http://www.thomashansen.me/chat/thomas. If you look at the source, you can see a strange script tag at the end. My page-chat.tpl.php looks like this, <?php // $Id$ ?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="<?php print $language->language ?>" lang="<?php print $language->language ?>" dir="<?php print $language->dir ?>"> <head> </head> <body> <?php print $content; ?> </body> </html> Where is that script tag coming from? and how do I get rid of it? • ReWriteRule is redirecting rather rewriting

    - by James Doc
    At the moment I have two machines that I do web development on; an iMac for work at the office and a MacBook for when I have to work on the move. They both running OS X 10.6 have the same version of PHP, Apache, etc running on them. Both computers have the same files of the website, including the .htaccess file (see below). On the MacBook the URLs are rewritten nicely, masking the URL they are pointing to (eg site/page/page-name), however on the iMac they simply redirect to the page (eg site/index.php?method=page&value=page-name) which is making switching back and forth between machines a bit of a pain! I'm sure it must be a config setting somewhere, but I can't for the life of me find it. Has anyone got a remedy? Many thanks. I am using following code in Default.aspx <%@ Page Language="C#"%> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <script runat="server"> protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { Response.Write(@"<asp:LinkButton runat=""server"" OnClick=""btn_click""><img src=""close-icon (1).png"" /></asp:LinkButton>"); } public void btn_click(object sender, EventArgs e) { Response.Write("HELLO"); } </script> </head> <body> <form id="form1" runat="server"> <div> </div> </form> </body> </html> I also tried to write tag code in Default.aspx.cs file but not work. It's showing me following error. Error 1 'ASP.default_aspx' does not contain a definition for 'img_Click' and no extension method 'img_Click' accepting a first argument of type 'ASP.default_aspx' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?) Please help me to solve this problem.
