  • Openning Blob Data stored in Sqlite as a File with Tcl/Tk

    Hello: I am using the following tcl code to store a file from my deskstop into a Sqlite database as blob data ($fileText is a path to a text file): sqlite3 db Docs.db set fileID [open $fileText RDONLY] fconfigure $fileID -translation binary set content [read $fileID] close $fileID db eval {insert into Document (Doc) VALUES ($content)} db close I have found many resources on how to open the blob data to read and write to it, but I cannot find any resources on openning the blob data as a file. For example, if $fileText was a pdf, how would I open it, from Sqlite, as a pdf? Thanks, DFM

  • Pound symbol not displaying on web page

    Hello I have a mysql database table to store country name and currency symbol - the CHARSET has correctly set to UTF8. This is example data inserted into the table insert into country ( country_name, currency_name, currency_code, currency_symbol) values ('UK','Pounds','GBP','£'); When I look in the database - the pound symbol appears fine - but when I retrieve it from the database and display it on the website - a weird square symbol shows up with a question mark inside instead of the pound symbol.     Hi, I'm trying to insert a flv video in a latex document. I've tried the following : \begin{figure}[h!] \centering \includegraphics[scale=1]{animation/animation1.flv} \caption{My animation} \label{Anim1} \end{figure} But it's not working at all ! Does anyone know how to do this ? I would avoid to convert the video because I don't know what kind of codec the reader would have.

    Hi, I'm using version 2.7.0 of this WordPress plugin to display which users are currently online (the latest version doesn't work): http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-useronline/ It's working great but I would love to be able to alter it quickly to display the users' avatars instead of their names. Hoping someone with pretty good knowledge of WordPress queries and functions can help. The part below seems to be the part that handles all this. I need to get the url from the link I'm clicking, so I do: var url = $(this).attr("href"); which works fine if I alert it out(the link includes http://samedomain.com/etc.php), but the ajax function doesn't post if I insert it into the ajax code: $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: url, data: info, success: function(){ }}); Please help, as I'm screwed without this working.

  • How do you configure IIS5 advanced settings from command line?

    I am trying to automate some of the build process for my asp.net apps by creating the virtual directories it needs and setting all their settings in a batch file. So far I have been able to figure out how to create virtual directories, but how to do you configure them beyond that? For example I need to be able to set them as an application, set the default document, change framework version, turn on integrated authentication, etc. Does anyone know of any scripts that can do all this without a third party utility? Does the adsutil.vbs admin script do any of this?

    I've created a test suite in NUnit that references several distinct unit test fixtures in various assemblies.   • Does the chunk of the System.Collections.Concurrent.Partitioner need to be thread safe?

    I am working with the Parallel libraries in .net 4 and I am creating a Partitioner and the example shown in the MSDN only has a chunk size of 1 (every time a new result is retrieved it hits the data source instead of the local cache. The version I am writing will pull 10000 SQL rows at a time then feed the rows from the cache until it is empty then pull another batch. Each partition in the Partitioner has its own chunk. I know every time I call to the IEnumerator in from the SQL data-source that needs to be thread safe but for use in a Parallel.ForEach do I need to make every call to the cache for the chunking thread safe?

[ "Bob": 3, "Alice: 2, "Jane": 1, ] When incrementing the counts "Alice" += 2 the order should be maintained: [ "Alice: 4, "Bob": 3, "Jane": 1, ] When all is in memory there rather simple ways (some more or some less) to efficiently implement this. (using an index, insert-sort etc) The question though is: What's the most promising approach when the list does not fit into memory. Bonus question: What if not even the index fits into memory? How would you approach this?

In C i know how to call a function in ram using typecasting (although i never tried) but how does one read opcodes and generate code for it? Does the person need to have premade assembly chunks and copy/batch them together? is the assembly written in C? If so how do you find the length of the code? How do you account for system interrupts?

  • Good .NET library for fast streaming / batching trigonometry (Atan)?

    I need to call Atan on millions of values per second. Is there a good library to perform this operation in batch very fast. For example, a library that streams the low level logic using something like SSE? I know that there is support for this in OpenCL, but I would prefer to do this operation on the CPU. The target machine might not support OpenCL. I also looked into using OpenCV, but it's accuracy for Atan angles is only ~0.3 degrees. I need accurate results.
