• Fiddler2 to debug SL

  I have a SL3 + Ria service application that I want to trace what is are the calls made between the client and the server. Since I am debugging the application in localhost, I am unable to see any trace in fiddler. I tried http://localhost.:port/websitename/page.aspx and I got "The requested URL could not be retrieved" message. If i remove '.' between localhost and port my page show up but there is no fiddler capture. How would one go about to see/capture all the calls made between the client and service in localhost? • Is there a way to use a dictionary or xml in the Application Settings?

  I have to store a complex type in the application settings. I thought that storing it as XML would work best. The problem is I don't know how store XML. I prefer to store it as a managed XML rather than using just a string of raw XML having to parse it on each access. I managed to set the Type column of the setting to XDocument, but I was unable to set its value. Is there a way to use XDocument or XML in application settings? Update I found a way, simply by editing the .settings file with the xml editor. I changed it to a custom serializable dictionary, but I get the following error when I try to access the setting-property (I set it to a serialized representation of the default value). The property 'Setting' could not be created from it's default value. Error message: There is an error in XML document (1, 41). Any ideas will be appreciated.

• Setup Jetty 7 with JSP engine

  I've been trying to get Jetty to run my web app via a custom launcher (embedded). I am trying to figure out how to tell Jetty which java compiler to use for JSPs. I want to do what java -jar start.jar -OPTIONS=jsp does, but without using start.jar. Here is what shows on the console: Javac exception, Unable to find a javac compiler; com.sun.tools.javac.Main is not on the classpath. Perhaps JAVA_HOME does not point to the JDK Do I need to put the javac libraries into my classpath?

• not able to select hidden link - selenium

  I have to select web link when i mouse hover to particular frame in the webpage, the button(link to next page) will be visible.   hi all.. i'm caught in a problem. i'm developing an application based on lbs and referred the code given in (forum.nokia.com/wiki) GpsPositionRequest.zip when i try to install the app on device it gets installed successfully but while executing it shows error "unable to execute for security reasons".. i've signed the sis file using carbide C++. my mmp file include the capabilities: ReadDeviceData, WriteDeviceData, Location, NetworkServices, ReadUserData. my class uses TPositionInfo,RPositionServer,RPositioner does it need any other capability?? (i'm using carbide c++ and s60 3rd edition fp1)

• Need CSS Help with a hover element - cant extend to left and right of page

  Hi there, Need some CSS guru help. If you visit my link: http://www.gabbr.com/js/viewer/cmedata/index1.html and hover over the years (top middles, 2008, 2009, 2010, etc) you will notice an orange bar extending from the top to the bottom of the page. I am trying to get the same effect on the left (month and day) but am unable to do so. The problem I am having is that I cannot get the orange hover bar to extend off the left of the screen for either #dayleft or for #monthleft. It extends all the way to the right margin of the screen but not the left. The problem is the margin-left: 15px; in #monthleft and margin-left: 80px; in #dayleft. But I cannot get rid of these since I require them for the letter spacing. Any advice?

  I'm trying to construct a query in NHibernate to return a list of customers with no orders matching a specific criteria. My Customer object contains a set of Orders: <set name="Orders"> <key column="CustomerID" /> <one-to-many class="Order" /> </set> How do I contruct a query using NHibernate's ICriteria API to get a list of all customers who have no orders? Using native SQL, I am able to represent the query like this: select * from tblCustomers c where not exists (select 1 from tblOrders o where c.ID = o.CustomerID) I have been unable to figure out how to do this using aliases and DetatchedCriteria objects. • SQL server connection trouble in network but not in local

  for the first time that I would work with SQL SERVER 2005, the jdbc connection doesn't work in the network I searched and have done thousand of things that doesn't work, i also want to precise that i already had worked with other DBMS, so here is the problem: when i try to connect by jdbc from the machine where sql server is installed everything work just fine, but when i try from a different machine, the jdbc is unable to create the connection, i already checked that TCP/IP communication is enabled that the port (not dynamically assigned) is 1433 and i even tried with different ports, i also tried with the same driver and different driver, i checked that i was able to communicate with the http server (who is installed in the machine where SQL server is installed) and it works but that jdbc connection can't, i tried thousand of things until i forgot some of them, someone please help

  I am rendering a similar construct to the below with some server side code. The server side code inserts hard returns in between the project label and text fields. Not a big deal except the below jQuery code inserts the project label and text fields mashed together. var projectLabel = $('<label for="project">Project</label>'); var projectField = $('<input type="text" name="project" id="projectName" />'); projectLabel.insertBefore($(this)); projectField.insertBefore($(this)); Because of this discrepancy the elements rendered server side have a space between them while the ones rendered on the client do not. I've tried adding a nbsp; at the end of each line to no avail. Unfortunately, I have been unable to remove the hard returns outputted by the server side code. Further because of the space I can't fix this with CSS. What are my options for adding spacing via jQuery?

  I've been using a lot of slideshows recently on my sites and one thing thats puzzled me is using more than one slideshow per page. I'm currently working on my own site, experimenting with Jquery Accordion. I've managed to adopt a very simple javascript slideshow, see below: http://dvpwebdesign.com/test/accordion/blank.html However i'm unable to either incorporate or use a different multiple slideshow plugin. I dont need slideshow navigation, so the The Cycle plugin works really well and i know you can use multiple slideshows. But if i either use Cycle alongside the current javascript slideshow, or only use the Cycle slideshow to avoid any possible conflict, the Accordion menu stops working. I just cant see what i am doing wrong, can anyone help?

• Package Installer misbehavoir

  Hi, I am unable to understand and fix the following behavior displayed by the Package Installer : in my application when I press on a "update application" button I download from a web server un update apk (in case there is) and start the Package Installer afterwards to install the package. Everything goes well and after the installation finishes there is displayed a view with two buttons "open" and "done" . However pressing the "open" button fails to open the installed update as it should even if the intent to the startup activity is sent as I observed in logcat . Pressing on menu button and going through the applications installed I am able to find the updated app and start it from here . What should I do to start the update by pressing open in the final Package Installed view ?
