  • grails set bean value from radio button

    I'm somewhat new to grails (not groovy though) and I'm working on a sample CRUD application. The issue I'm trying to solve is how to set a property on a bean based on a radio button before I update it in the database. Is the Form Helper http://www.grails.org/plugin/form-helper plugin the way to go? Will the bean have its value set regardless of if the button is actually clicked by the user or if it is left at its default value? thanks, Jeff

  • maven project with netbeans compiles fully on every run

    I was experimenting with Netbeans 6.8 (I'm currently an Eclipse user) because I like having a profiler built into the IDE. It seems that for maven projects, netbeans does a full compile (it invokes process-classes) every time I try to run the project, as opposed to Eclipse, which uses the incremental Java compiler. Is there a way to avoid having netbeans run mvn process-classes every time I want to run the main class? thanks, Jeff

The problem I am facing is when i applied a watermark to any input field for which validation is also applied then validations are failing For Example: <input type=text name=myinput class="required"> and I applied a watermark for this field in document ready function: $("#myinput ").Watermark("myinput "); This is the sample case where validation is failing as value=myinput is set for input field which is watermarked.

  • weblogic runs differently!

    hi all i have configured myeclipse for running weblogic via it. it can be run but there is a problem! i have written a project and deployed it to the container. when i am running weblogic server without my eclipse it works fine but when i am run it via myeclipse i get the pagenotfoundException! i have weblogic ver 10.3 and my eclipse ver 7.5 is any help? thanks

  • jquery tooltip shows a div's content

    Hello, I want to use either http://onehackoranother.com/projects/jquery/tipsy/ or http://bassistance.de/jquery-plugins/jquery-plugin-tooltip/ and I was wondering if lets say I have a div on my page that has a class 'item_info'. Can I have my tooltip that is created output the div inside the tooltip and formatted properly according to my css? Is there another plugin I should be looking into? Thanks.   • JQuery username validation - Ajax call

    Hi, I am currently using JQuery's validation plugin for basic form validation such as required fields. I want to add functionality so that when the user types in the username field, an ajax call is triggered to check whether the username is already taken. My requirements are: Preferably integrate with JQuery Validation plugin, rather than writing a custom function I want the lookup to occur on the nkeyup event I want the lookup to be triggered approx 0.5 seconds after the keyup event has occurred.     I am trying to use Haml with Grails but I am having some issues. The plugin for haml has errors to parse empty lines. The plugin generate gsp files, so I think that I can use the online haml html generator. Bug I want something like an editor with syntax highlithing, blocks, etc, and that generate html. I use a Frame to show a website, unfortunateli some of my websites use flash, and seems to want to install a flash plugin - my frame doesnt seem to accept this behavior so it fails giving me a http 500 internal server error. Any one having any experiences in how to show the web site or install the flash plugin (its already installed in my regular IE - i can browse the site without problems)

  • DCVS + hosting for a startup commercial multiplatform phone app

    I'm in lean startup mode, working on a simple phone app that will be published initially as a iThingy app and an Android app with, possibly, Blackberry and Symbian versions to follow. I'm about to go from no repository to needing a central repository that up to 4 very part-time resources will be sharing. Two of us have no version control background, one has used Subversion, and I've used most of the major centralized VCS systems. I'm not going to be pushing the technical limitations of any VCS for a long time; I'm sure that any of the major systems would work fine. And the hosting accounts I've looked at seem reasonable. So I'm really focussed on minimizing the downside risks. That is, I'd like to find a stable setup that is easy to learn in general, easy to use from Windows/Eclipse, and won't paint me into any obvious corners for the next 12 months or so. A quick search of the web had led me to consider the following pairs of DVCS and hosting service, with what I think I'm hearing as their strengths and weaknesses (for my purposes): Bazaar/Launchpad -- My initial choice since I need to get more familiar with this pair for the Google Summer of Code mentoring I'm doing. But, whatever the technical merits, a non-starter for me because they are purely open source, no private repositories plans to purchase that I can see. Git/GitHub -- Git: Fast, light, ultimately flexible, but relatively less Windows friendly, Eclipse plugin (eGit) available but relatively young, GitHub: widely used, pricing is fine Mercurial/BitBucket -- Mercurial: a little less flexible, a little more Windows friendly, Eclipse plugin seems a bit more mature, BitBucket: widely used, pricing is fine, includes a wiki and an issue tracker that we might be able to use instead of something like BaseCamp, at least for a while. Mercurial/BitBucket seem like the winning pair so far for my particular situation; at least two of us are definitely going to be working mostly from Eclipse on Windows and reducing my own learning curve is a priority. ;-) But I have two specific questions: 1) Am I wrong about Bazaar/Launchpad and is there a viable, secure way to use them for proprietary code? 2) Any reason to think that the Mecurial/Bitbucket pair will end up being a headache for my Mac developer, soon, or for Blackberry or Symbian developers a little later? ag

    I just switched from Eclipse to NetBeans IDE 6.8 for my PHP/Ajax development. Eclipse always showed a little hard disk symbol over the file icon for files that were in sync with the svn repository, and an asterisk for files with changes that have not been committed. Is there a way to see the commit status in NetBeans? If not, what is your preferred way of recognizing which files to commit?

    So, for instance facebook's search bar has faint word that says "search", but when you click on the bar, it becomes blank and you may begin typing, when you click away the "search" goes back. Similarly, SO's ask a question title box has faint words that go away when you start typing. I'm not too sure what this effect is called, but I'm wondering if theres a jQuery plugin that helps to achieve this. This isn't particularly difficult to program, but I thought why reinvent the wheel if someone already made a plugin for it.
