    An example of fragments that have identical hierarchical structure: (1) <div> <span>It's a message</span> </div> (2) <div> <span class='bold'>This is a new text</span> </div> An example of fragments that have different structure: (1) <div> <span><b>It's a message</b></span> </div> (2) <div> <span>This is a new text</span> </div> So, fragments with a similar structure correspond to one hierarchical tree (the same tag names, the same hierarchical structure). How can I detect if 2 elements (html fragments) have the same structure simply with lxml?     Hi, Since Ajax requests are limited for security reasons, there's not much to it, just follow the rules eh .. but I've crossed with this : https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Same_origin_policy_for_JavaScript It's written that you can "bypass" those rules, in case you're working with subdomains of the same domain, with the following javascript line : document.domain = "company.com"; I haven't tried it yet, since I don't know if this only works (perfectly works) with any other browser, or at least the major ones.     Is there a good way to get Facebook Connect onto a Silverlight page? All I really need is simple authorization/registration. I've looked into the facebook developer toolkit, but the documentation is more or less non-existent for Silverlight, and I didn't really get anywhere with it. Is there a good tutorial or a working library for adding Facebook Connect into a Silverlight app? Or is the best way to run Silverlight in Windowwless mode with HTML overlayed on top?

    Most of the time, I prefer to write this : if(isWelcome() == true){} if(isWelcome() == false){} instead of this if(isWelcome()){} if(!isWelcome()){} Because I feel that it is easier to read (but I do understand that it doesn't make sense). I would like to know if there is a common agreement about this practice. What most developer do? And I'm wondering if the compiler is doing the extra comparaison, or if it understand that it is useless.

  • Debug assertion does not prompt in IIS 7

    Hi, since moving to Windows 7 (IIS 7.5), the debug assertions do not prompt a pop up dialog anymore. I have tested this in a separate project, and noticed that they do work when using the integrated Visual Studio Developer server (Cassini) but they do not work when using IIS Web Server. This is a big issue for us since we are counting on debug assertions to identify potential programming errors, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Eyal.

    Are we reduced to ClickOnce to manage our application state for our users? We use Visual Patch currently. When our users update (we reproduced this) we get errors from the updated versions to our compiled versions. Since our developer state is not 'updated' with Visual Patch how can we monitor and eventual squash the various System.MethodNotFound, and System.NullReferenceException in our updated versions of our application?
