  The project I'm asking about is for sending an email to teachers asking what books they're using for the classes they're teaching next semester, so that the books can be ordered. I have a query that compares the course number of this upcoming semester's classes to the course numbers of historical textbook orders, pulling out only those classes that are being taught this semester. That's where I get lost. I have a table that contains the following: -Professor -Course Number -Year -Book -Title The data looks like this: professor year course number title smith 13 1111 Pride and Prejudice smith 13 1111 The Fountainhead smith 13 1222 The Alchemist smith 12 1111 Pride and Prejudice smith 11 1222 Infinite Jest smith 10 1333 The Bible smith 13 1333 The Bible smith 12 1222 The Alchemist smith 10 1111 Moby Dick johnson 12 1222 The Tipping Point johnson 11 1333 Anna Kerenina johnson 10 1333 Everything is Illuminated johnson 12 1222 The Savage Detectives johnson 11 1333 In Search of Lost Time johnson 10 1333 Great Expectations johnson 9 1222 Proust on the Shore Here's what I need the code to do "on paper": Group the records by professor. Determine every unique course number in that group, and group records by course number. For each unique course number, determine the highest year associated. Then spit out every record with that professor+course number+year combination. Within the course number record set, I need the system to determine what the highest year number is - maybe store that in a variable? Then pull out every associated record so that if the teacher ordered 3 books the last time they taught that class (whether it was in 2013 or 2012 and so on) all three books display. I'm not sure I'm thinking of record sets in the right way, though. I also have a table Word which has WordId and WordText. • Intersection of Inner Polygons of MKPolygon being colored - iOS

  I am trying to create a fog of war style map where areas I have visited are uncovered and the rest of the map is "hidden". I am using a MKPolygonOverlay that covers the whole map and create inner polygons around all the locations I have visited. However in areas where these inner polygons overlap, that portion of the overlay is still being drawn.   I'm doing "Multidimensional Project" with MS SQL Server 2012 (Server Data Tools - Visual Studio 2010 Shell). I can't run (debug) it. If the data source's impersonation information is set to "use the service account", this error occures: Error 2 Internal error: The operation terminated unsuccessfully. 0 0 Error 3 OLE DB error: OLE DB or ODBC error: Login failed for user 'NT Service\MSSQLServerOLAPService'.; 28000. 0 0 Error 4 Errors in the high-level relational engine. A connection could not be made to the data source with the DataSourceID of 'Data Warehouse', Name of 'Data Warehouse'. 0 0 Error 5 Errors in the OLAP storage engine: An error occurred while the dimension, with the ID of 'Items', Name of 'Items' was being processed. 0 0 Error 6 Errors in the OLAP storage engine: An error occurred while the 'Id' attribute of the 'Items' dimension from the 'Warehouse_MultidimensionalProject_Cube' database was being processed. 0 0 Error 7 Server: The current operation was cancelled because another operation in the transaction failed. 0 0 I guessed that this account has no premissions but (1) I coudn't even add this account (it seems that it doesn't exist) and (2) how is that even possible for it to not have built-it poremissions?   I'm getting an error when I run the Spree sample data. It occurs when Spree tries to load in the product data, specifically the product images. Expected 0 I've also tried manually updating the Paperclip gem in Spree to 3.0.2 and still get the same error. So, I'm not really sure what else to try. • Reverse proxy for a REST web service using ADFS/AD and WebApi

  I need to implement a reverse proxy for a REST webservice behind a firewall. The reverse proxy should authenticate against an enterprise ADFS 2.0 server, preferably using claims in .net 4.5. The clients will be a mix of iOS, Android and web. I’m completely new to this topic; I’ve tried to implement the service as a REST service using WebApi, WIF and the new Identity and Access control in VS 2012, with no luck. I have also tried to look into Brock Allen’s Thinktecture.IdentityModel.45, however then my head was spinning so I didn’t see the difference between it and Windows Identity Foundation with the Identity and Access control. So I think I need to step back and get some advice on how to do this. There are several ways to this, as far as I understand it. In hardware. Set up our Citrix Netscaler as a reverse proxy. I have no idea how to do that, however if it’s a good solution I can always hire someone who knows… Do it in the webserver, like IIS. I haven’t tried it; do not know if it will work. Create a web service to do it. 3.1 Implement it as a SOAP service using WCF. As I understand it ADFS do not support REST so I have to use SOAP. The problem is mobile device do not like SOAP, neither do I… However if it’s the best way, I have to do it. 3.2 Use Azure Access Control Service. It might work, however the timing is not good. Our enterprise is considering several cloud options, and us jumping on the azure wagon on our own might not be the smartest thing to do right now. However if it is the only options, we can do it. I just prefer not to use it right now. Right now I feel there are too many options, and I do not know which one will work. If someone can point me in the right directions, which path to pursue, I would be very grateful.

The captions are covering the image and the close link, as well as being off-center.   I have problem with if condition. I write a script who should showing alert when value from field #customer-age is less than 21 (the calculated age of person). The problem is - the alert is showing every time - when the value is less and greater than 21. I am trying to edit the code so that it only gives me a countdown from an hour, minute, and second that I specify from a future date. I cannot just have code that counts down from a specified time, I need it to countdown to a specified date in the future. This is important so that if the browser is refreshed the countdown doesn't start over but continues where left off. I will be using cookies so the browser remembers what future date was specified when it was first run.   Before I being a bit of background, I am very new to go programming language. I am running go on Win 7, latest go package installer for windows. I'm not good at coding but I do like some challenge of learning a new language. I wanted to start learn Erlang but found go very interesting based on the GO I/O videos in youtube. I'm having problem with capturing POST form values in GO. I spend three hours yesterday to get go to print a POST form value in the browser and failed miserably. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, can anyone point me to the right direction? When the change went live the first day all worked fine. Since then though the sending of sales to Feefo hasnt been working, There are no logs either of anything going wrong. In the OrderProcessingService.cs in Nop Commerce's Service, i call a HttpWebrequest when an order has been confirmed as completed. Now: this hasnt been happening all week since the 15th (day of the implementation) the site has been grinding to a halt recently. The stream and reader in the the var content is there for debugging. Im wondering does the code redflag anything to you that could relate to the process of website? Also note i have run some SQL statements to see if there is any deadlocks or large escalations, so far seems fine, Logs have also been fine just the usual logging of Bots. Any help would be much appreciated! EDIT: also note that this code is in a method that is called and wrapped in A try catch UPDATE: well forget about the "not sending", thats because i was just told my code was rolled back last week

• Finding open contiguous blocks of time for every day of a month, fast

  I am working on a booking availability system for a group of several venues, and am having a hard time generating the availability of time blocks for days in a given month. This is happening server-side in PHP, but the concept itself is language agnostic -- I could be doing this in JS or anything else. Given a venue_id, month, and year (6/2012 for example), I have a list of all events occurring in that range at that venue, represented as unix timestamps start and end. This data comes from the database. I need to establish what, if any, contiguous block of time of a minimum length (different per venue) exist on each day. For example, on 6/1 I have an event between 2:00pm and 7:00pm. The minimum time is 5 hours, so there's a block open there from 9am - 2pm and another between 7pm and 12pm. This would continue for the 2nd, 3rd, etc... every day of June. Some (most) of the days have nothing happening at all, some have 1 - 3 events. The solution I came up with works, but it also takes waaaay too long to generate the data. Basically, I loop every day of the month and create an array of timestamps for each 15 minutes of that day. Then, I loop the time spans of events from that day by 15 minutes, marking any "taken" timeslot as false. Remaining, I have an array that contains timestamp of free time vs. taken time: //one day's array after processing through loops (not real timestamps) array( 12345678=>12345678, // <--- avail 12345878=>12345878, 12346078=>12346078, 12346278=>false, // <--- not avail 12346478=>false, 12346678=>false, 12346878=>false, 12347078=>12347078, // <--- avail 12347278=>12347278 ) Now I would need to loop THIS array to find continuous time blocks, then check to see if they are long enough (each venue has a minimum), and if so then establish the descriptive text for their start and end (i.e. 9am - 2pm). WHEW! By the time all this looping is done, the user has grown bored and wandered off to Youtube to watch videos of puppies; it takes ages to so examine 30 or so days. Is there a faster way to solve this issue? To summarize the problem, given time ranges t1 and t2 on day d, how can I determine the remaining time left in d that is longer than the minimum time block m. This data is assembled on demand via AJAX as the user moves between calendar months. Results are cached per-page-load, so if the user goes to July a second time, the data that was generated the first time would be reused. Any other details that would help, let me know. • Problems with starting windows service on windows xp SP3

  I'm currently facing a problem which I can not resolve and I really don't know what to do anymore. When I'm trying to start the service I receive the message: "The service is started but again also stopped, this because that some of the services will stop if they have nothing to do, for example the performance logs and the alerts service". I've looked into the Windows Logs but nothing is written there which could describe why my service is all the time stopping. I've also tried to fire the windows service via the command prompt which gives me the message: "The service is not started, but the service didn't return any faults.". I've tried to remove all keys which references to my service, which didn't resolve the issue. I've searched on google (maybe not good enough) to find an answer but I didn't found any. I did found some websites which describes what I could do, but all of these suggestions didn't work. This is kinda ** because I do not know where to look. I do not have any error message, i do not have any id which i can use to search on. I really don't know where to start and I hope you guys can help me on this one. • Push notification is successfully sent, but the device does not receive (occasionally)

  I have been having a problem where some devices will not receive a push notification, since yesterday. The certificate / devicetoken seem to be correct, since the device used to successfully receive push notifications until yesterday. On the server-side, there are no errors or connection refusals, and the push notification seems to be successfully sent every time. But still, there are many occasions where the device does not correctly receive the push. Some surrounding information: I am doing this on the production environment. No errors / connection refusals on the server-side I am sending the exactly same JSON everytime. 2 of our devices are not receiving the push notification AT ALL since yesterday 1 of our device receives push notifications at a lower success rate (about 70%) than yesterday 1~2 of our devices still receive push notifications successfully even now. All of the above devices were able to receive push notifications properly on the production environment until yesterday. There is no difference in the server-side result for when the push is successful, and when the device doesn't receive it... Therefore it is virtually impossible to identify the problem. • ImgBurn fails to burn data CD-R disk due to "Layouts do not match" error

  I have a reoccurring problem with the program ImgBurn. Whenever I try and burn anything to a CD-R using ImgBurn it burns just fine, except for when I go and verify the disk. It tells me that the "Layouts do not match". Windows 7 shows the disk as completely blank. Although, I see on the bottom of the disk it has been written to. I can burn ISO files to DVD-R's just fine. This only seems to happen with CD-R's. The CD-R's I'm using are Memorex Cool Colors 52x CD-R's. I have looked on Google, and it seems like I'm not the only one this happens to. Unfortunately, no one is able to provide an explanation. I have included the log file from the last CD I just burnt. • How do I remove a root kit from Windows XP?

  I was looking for root kits following these instructions http://computersight.com/software/how-to-manually-remove-rootkit/ and saw this in my boot log: Loaded driver \SystemRoot\System32\Drivers\awhk9fmc.SYS I tried to search for that filename in Google but there was absolutely nothing found. I tried to look at the file on the disk but could not find it. Nearly every other file is there. I even tried to boot in Windows 98 and mount the NTFS and see the file, but it still wasn't there. I ran a full scan with Microsoft Security Essentials but it found nothing. When I rebooted, I saw this line instead: Loaded driver \SystemRoot\System32\Drivers\a6n163gl.SYS How can I remove this? How can I find out what it does? How can I find out when it was put in? How can I find out who wrote it?   I'm following basic Pig, Cassandra, Hadoop installation. Everything works just fine as a stand alone. No error. However when I tried to run the example file provided by Pig_cassandra example, I got this error.
