• Displaytag caption not working

  I am using displaytag to render data, I have it working without any issues. As soon as I use display:caption I get JSP compilation error with the below message. Am I missing anything?   I'm trying to get the Poll tutorial working at my Dreamhost account (I don't have any prior experience of deploying Django). I downloaded the script I found here (http://gabrielfalcao.com/2008/12/02/hosting-and-deploying-django-apps-on-dreamhost/) at my home directory and executed it.   On a virtual hosting server I have the open_basedir set to .:/path/to/vhost/web:/tmp:/usr/share/pear for each virtual host. I have a client who's running WordPress and he's complaining about open_basedir errors thus: PHP WARNING: file_exists() [function.file-exists]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/var/lib/php/session/sess_42k7jn3vjenj43g3njorrnrmf2) is not within the allowed path(s): (.:/path/to/vhost/web:/tmp:/usr/share/pear) So the PHP session save_path isn't included in open_basedir but sessions across all sites on the server seems to be working fine apart from in this intermittent instance. I thought that perhaps the default session handler ignored open_basedir and this warning was caused by WP accessing the session file directly. However from what I can see PHP 5.2.4 introduced open_basedir checking to the session.save_path config: http://www.php.net/ChangeLog-5.php#5.2.4 (I am on PHP 5.2.13). Any ideas?

  I am using Struts-1. I have developed a struts-based web application. I am using struts tags in my JSP pages supplied in struts-taglib.jar by inserting the following lines in the JSP file: <%@ taglib prefix="html" uri="http://struts.apache.org/tags-html" %> <%@ taglib prefix="logic" uri="http://struts.apache.org/tags-logic" %> <%@ taglib prefix="bean" uri="http://struts.apache.org/tags-bean" %> Now the application is working fine when I run it on my localsystem but when I deploy it on a server, it shows the following exception: org.apache.jasper.JasperException: The absolute uri: http://struts.apache.org/tags-html cannot be resolved in either web.xml or the jar files deployed with this application From the above exception, it seems that the application hasn't found the struts-taglib.jar file. But I have put the struts-taglib.jar in /WEB-INF/lib directory. Then where is the problem? • Setup Padrino with DataMapper and MySQL database

  Hello I am trying to setup a Padrino project using DataMapper and MySQL on my Mac OSX Snow Leopard. I have the necessary gems: dm-core data_objects do_mysql mysql (linked to my original Mac OSX installation) But when I try to start the padrino with PADRINO START from the console, I get the following error: /Users/ivolution/.bundle/ruby/1.9.1/gems/dm-core-0.10.2/lib/dm-core/adapters/mysql_adapter.rb:3:in `require': no such file to load -- do_mysql (LoadError) But as I said I do have do_mysql gem installed so there shouldn't be such error, I did bundle install in my project folder before trying to start Padrino. Any ideas?

  When I try rake db:migrate, I get the following error: !!! The bundled mysql.rb driver has been removed from Rails 2.2. Please install the mysql gem and try again: gem install mysql. rake aborted! no such file to load -- mysql And when I try to "gem install mysql" Building native extensions. This could take a while... ERROR: Error installing mysql: ERROR: Failed to build gem native extension. /usr/bin/ruby extconf.rb Can't find header files for ruby. Gem files will remain installed in /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/mysql-2.8.1 for inspection. I checked the rubygems folder and mysql gem has been installed. Any ideas? Cheers

• Email sent by ActionMailer is taking six hours to deliver mail.

  So I have been asked to help maintain a website that uses Ruby on Rails. Now, let me just say I've been programming Ruby for awhile but I am still new to Rails. The first problem brought to my attention is how the activation email takes about six hours to arrive. It would be one thing if the email was not being sent due to errors but it is being send correctly, just slow. Also the server this is running on is also its own SMTP. I checked how the email was being formatted before calling the setup_email method and everything looks okay. I even dug into the ActionMailer lib and read through the files there and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. So what is most likely causing the email to take six hours to deliver?

• Missing ant-javamail.jar file on Macintosh

  I've been running the built-in Ant from the command line on a Macintosh (10.5.5) and have run into some trouble with the Mail task. Running the Mail task produces the following message: [mail] Failed to initialise MIME mail: org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.email.MimeMailer This is most likely due to a missing ant-javamail.jar file in the /usr/share/ant/lib directory. I see a "ant-javamail-1.7.0.pom" file in this directory but not the appropriate jar file. Anyone know why this jar file might be missing and what the best way to resolve the problem is?

I have developed a win mobile (v5.0) application and I use ONLY 1 database SQLITE with these references: System.Data.SQLite.dll (assembly version & product version : 1.0.65.0); SQLite.Interop.065.DLL (product version : 1.0 and is a c++ lib for first dll ). After 5 weeks of using of this application, I get today a weird exception and I dont understand what it is? Exception is: MissingMethodException Can`t find PInvoke DLL 'sqlceme30.dll ' at System.Data.SqlServerCe.SqlCeCommand.ReleaseNativeInterfaces() at System.Data.SqlServerCe.SqlCeCommand.Dispose(Boolean disposing) ...... What`s wrong? Anyone know about this to explain me please? By the way : until now I delevoped 3-4 applications (1 year ago )using these references and everything worked fine.

• Why isn't my assets folder being installed on emulator?

  Where are my assets being installed to? I utilize an assets folder in my new app. I have two files in the folder. When I install my app on the emulator, I cannot access my assets, and furthermore I cannot see them on the emulator filesystem. Extracted my apk and confirmed the assets folder exists: $ ls -ltr assets/ total 16 -rw-rw-r--. 1 brad brad 1050 2010-05-20 00:33 schema-DashDB.sql -rw-rw-r--. 1 brad brad 9216 2010-05-20 00:33 dash.db On the emulator, no assets folder: # pwd /data/data/com.gtosoft.dash # ls -l drwxr-xr-x system system 2010-05-20 00:46 lib # I just want to package a pre-built database with my app and then open it to obtain data when needed. Just tried it on my Moto Droid, unable to access/open the DB, just like the emulator: DBFile=/data/data/com.gtosoft.dash/assets/dash.db Building the DB on the fly from a schema file is out of the question because its such a slow process (about 5-10 statements per second is all I get for throughput).

  I have a shared object ( libxyz.so ). Given LD_LIBRARY_PATH, how can find the exact location of this shared object? If i had a binary that depends on this lib, i would have used ldd on that. Here is the reason why i ask: I have a cgi script which works when using LD_LIBRARY_PATH set to say VALUE1. It does not work when the path is set to VALUE2. I would like to find the exact location of the library as specified by the path in VALUE1 ( Note that VALUE1 has almost 20+ different locations ) Platform: Linux

  I am new to mqseries and I started with IBM WebSphere MQ curses. There are examples with MQ_APPLE and MQ_ORANGE queue managers. I have no problem with sending messages to local or remote queue with MQ Explorer, but I wanted to send such message from code: Python or Java. • GD DLL installation

  I'm using the JpGraph library(PHP graphing Lib). I'm getting the foll error: "JpGraph Error Your PHP installation does not seem to have the required GD 2.x library enabled. Please see the PHP documentation, "Image" section. Make sure that "php_gd2.dll" statement is uncomment in the [modules] section in the php.ini file" I uncommented the php_gd2.dll statement in php.ini(in C:\WINDOWS) and set the 'extension_dir' as extension_dir = C:\PHP\extensions (I have a extensions directory and put the php_gd2.dll in this directory ). I restarted IIS and when I fire up my webapp, it doesnt comeup. I commented out the php_gd2.dll and restarted IIS again. The webapp came up. I dont understand what I'm doing wrong. Here is the server config: Windows Server 2003, with IIS Version 6. The PHP version is 4.3.8

• Parsing Wiki XML Dumps ver0.4 just got tough

  Hello, I am trying to parse Wikipedia XML Dump using "Parse-MediaWikiDump-1.0.4" along with "Wikiprep.pl" script. I guess this script works fine with ver0.3 Wiki XML Dumps but not with the latest ver0.4 Dumps. I get the following error. Can't locate object method "page" via package "Parse::MediaWikiDump::Pages" at wikiprep.pl line 390. Also, under the "Parse-MediaWikiDump-1.0.4" documentation @ http://search.cpan.org/~triddle/Parse-MediaWikiDump-1.0.4/lib/Parse/MediaWikiDump/Pages.pm, I read "LIMITATIONS Version 0.4 This class was updated to support version 0.4 dump files from a MediaWiki instance but it does not currently support any of the new information available in those files." Any work arounds would help me get to the next level. Note: one may wonder why cannot we directly use SAX or STAX parser instead, wikipedia dump is a 25GB plus single file, stack/memory issues are obvious. Hence, the above perl script resolves this issue but currently I am stuck with this version problem.
