In IE8 there is the option: Enable Automatic Crash Recovery
I want to disable it using the registry but cannot find the setting for it.
Does anyone know what it is?
This may sound like a strange question, but I was wondering if there is software available which can emulate the behaviour of standalone dvd-players. I'm currently debugging a DVD we're creating, and I can't afford to go hopping to my house every time to check.
The reason I'm asking is because the problems just appear on 'some' dvd-players which I cannot predict.
Other option maybe, is there software that can check a VIDEO_TS folder or iso file for errors?
I have a spreadsheet with several cells in one column. Each cell has identical conditional formatting:
In 1 cell value equal to ='Y'
In 2 cell value equal to ='N'
In 3 cell value equal to ='?'
What I would like to achieve is, if all 7 cells contain "Y" as the option then a separate cell will display "Yes", but if any of the cells contain "N" as the selection then the separate cell will display "NO".
How can I achieve this?
Hi,
I'm currently trying to download a full magneto install from a ftp server. The connection keeps failing, it seems as if there are too many files and folders to scan through?
Can anyone shed any light on how to resolve this? The shared platform seems to b e a standard platform based on Plesk 8.6.
As this is a shared server, there is no option for me to really do anything, apart from contact the hosting company (who have offered to zip up all the files for me, but this is not ideal)
I have MS Office 2007 installed. When am using Outlook Web Access and I receive MS Office 2007 attachments from some colleagues, OWA requires me to save the file, rather than it opening with a double-click. When I "Save Target As..." it gives only the option to save as "Compressed (Zip) File" even though the filename appears as "filename.xlsx"
Then, when I open the saved folder, the filename does not appear anywhere.
Ideas?
My organisation has Exchange 2007 e-mail server, and now, we want to host e-mail service for other organisation (neworg.com)
I added new Authoritative Active Domain neworg.com, but when adding a new mailbox, there is no option to chose new SMTP domain name neworg.com, and I can't add new user with SMTP domain [email protected].
Probably I misunderstood something while reading posts on Internet, but can someone help please?
Corporate has asked us to look for an FTP server solution with paid support. Our team has a preference for open source, and would normally support it ourselves. But the guys at the top want that secure feeling of paying someone to CYA. Soooooo....what kind of options are out there for FTP server that supports FTP, FTPS, SFTP, plus has a web-based front end so people could transfer files that way...that also has the option of paid support?
Any recommendations?
When I right click anywhere I get an option to add a new file file a specified extension. I would like to add some custom files into this menu, so I can right click and create a new PHP file for instance.
How can I do this?
A Windows service has 4 different startup types that can be configured: Automatic, Automatic (delayed), Manual and Disabled.
I have a service running on a combination of Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2 Desktops that I need to set as 'Automatic (delayed)' using a GPO setting, but from what I can see in the GPO editor, the delayed option is missing:
Have I missed something obvious, or is this a rather basic omission from Microsoft?
im looking to buy a new laptop and i found one i liked but it has an upgrade option where i can have 1920x1080 resulotion instead of 1366x768. so i was wondering if i will notice the difference while playing games because i dont think i will be watching movies and that kind of stuff. so in summary: will i notice the difference while playing games.

Hello, after a lovely blue screen my vista 64 machine decided to reconfigure one of my drives to no longer be part of my raid volume. So now my raid fails as it only has one member disk. This happened to me about 6 months ago and I just changed the disk in question back to a raid disk and all was well. However I cant seem to find that option in my bios or raid config anymore :(
Any help would be appreciated
I'd like to mirror a site with wget and convert all the links to the local copies I've downloaded. So far that's easy all I have to do is wget -mk http://site.com
However all of the static media is located in a different domain, if I follow all of the foreign hosts using the -H option it will download that static media files, but it will also download anything else externally linked.
Is there a way to specify 'only download foreign hosts specified in list X'?

Now that MS Money will be discontinuing, what are the other options if one should have to switch? And why do you prefer a given option over the others?
As per the title.
My VMWare player installation has setup the two network adaptor VMnet1 and VMnet8 and they are picked up as unidentified networks with no network access (i need this to activate my windows server installation on it).
The option to change the network location is not available (this might be because of network policy on the domain despite having set this as configurable in the local security policy section). Is there anyway i can change how these networks are detected or alter the configuration of vmware to get around this?
I have a VPN connection set up using the Cisco VPN Client, and whenever I connect to it I lose my internet connection. This is the first time I have used this software, all previous VPNs I have used have been setup through Windows and I can uncheck the 'use remote gateway' box in the TCP-IP properties box to get around this.
Is there a similar option in the Cisco Client that I am missing? I am running on Windows 7 32 bit
I have a problem, I need to have to run a java program on a port < 1024. authbind and jsvc are no alternatives, it is simply decided not to use.
But using
ip6tables -t mangle -A PREROUTING -p udp --dport 546 -j TPROXY --on-port 8547
gives me
ip6tables v1.4.7: unknown option `--on-port'
What did I miss?

I have a computer with Vista 64 and I have a problem with Skype on it. It does not start automatically. I have checked the corresponding option in the Skype settings (Start Skype when I start Windows) is ticked.
What troubleshooting steps could I try to find why it does not start?
I was given access to a Windows Server 2008 box and I need to check what all permissions I have on that box (if possible in the entire domain). I don't have access to domain controller and I don't want to write LDAP queries but just some GUI option or some command line stuff. Is there anyway?
PS: I am not in to network administration, I am a BI developer. Pardon me if asked a stupid question.
All other methods of Activesync and web access to my Exchange server are working fine with no errors or issues, but when we attempt to configure Android phones for the server, it will only work with 'verify certificate' checked off.
Ideally, I'd like my users to be able to use the default configuration, which includes the 'Verify Certificate' option.
My primary question is: 'What does Verify Certificate do?', as I imagine if I knew that, I might have some idea why it isn't working.
I have a 64-bit Windows 7 install as the only partition on a 1 TB HDD, with about 350 GB free. I would like to install Fedora 17 as a dual-boot option on this system and give it about 100 GB to play with. If in the Fedora install utility I choose to shrink the W7 partition by 100 GB to give it space, will that cause me to lose my existing W7 data? And how do I go about setting up dual-boot (with Windows 7 as the default)?
I have a macbook-pro with a swedish keyboard. To to get the curly brace '{' I press alt(=option)+shift+8, but to get the same character when I run vmware/windows I should press alt+7.
Oviously, I would like to use the same keyboard layout in mac and windows, how can I make this happen?
I need to customise the default email users get when their Exchange 2003 mailbox reaches one of the limits.
There are a lot of pages online on how to do this using a tool that was hosted at http://workspaces.gotdotnet.com/quotamsgsvc. However, this site has been discontinued, and Microsoft do not appear to have migrated this bit of code over.
Does anyone know an alternative option, or where the QuotaMSGSvc might now be found?
I'd like to make colour adjustments to an existing PDF file, the equivalent of Photoshop's adjustments, and save a new version with the altered colours.
I'm after more than a colourspace conversion. I'd like to take a file that's black and white, and convert it into green, blue, yellow, pink etc versions. It's upwards of 100 pages full of text and graphic elements, so doing it by hand isn't really an option.
Is there any way of achieving this?
