  • Changing the onClick area when adding an event

    Is there anyway to change what a user clicks on to add an event? Right now the entire day is clickable. This becomes an issue when the user needs to put focus back on that window, requiring a mouse click. If they click on the calendar, which takes up most of the page, then they launch the "Add Event" function. Is there a way to have a Plus sign (+), or whatever symbol in each day that when clicked, launches the "Add Event" function? Or... Is there a way to have a button across the top that said, "Add Event"?

  • How to get Rid of this strange Border on JButton in Windows System look and Feel?

    I have a small Problem with the Layout of my Frame. As You could see in a picture (if i would have my 10 rep ;) ) there is a small Border around my JButtons. I'm already searching long time on this topic and i finally decided to ask for help, i'm just out of ideas. Is this Part of the Windows Theme which shouldn't be changed? It just doesnt fit into my current Layout, as I'm Listing TextBoxes and Comboboxes on Page Axis without any Border. I would be very happy if there is solution for this issue. Thanks in advance! EDIT 1: I do not mean the Focus Border. I like the Highlighting of a focussed Element. The purpose of this repeater is to create an index from A-Z, which, when clicked, refreshes the information on the page.     I'm trying to define a class (or set of classes which implement the same interface) that will behave as a loosely typed object (like JavaScript). They can hold any sort of data and operations on them depend on the underlying type. I have it working in three different ways but none seem ideal. These test versions only allow strings and integers and the only operation is add. Adding integers results in the sum of the integer values, adding strings concatenates the strings and adding an integer to a string converts the integer to a string and concatenates it with the string. The final version will have more types (Doubles, Arrays, JavaScript-like objects where new properties can be added dynamically) and more operations.     All I want to do is access the <body element from the code-behind of a content page and add a class name to it. I have a top-level master page with the <body element in it. Then I have a nested master page which is the master page for the content page. From the code behind of the content page I want to add a class name to the body element. That's all. I have this in the top-level master: <body id="bodyNode" runat="server"> I added this to the code-behind for the content page: Master.bodyNode.Attributes.add("class", "home-page"); And I get a message that: System.Web.UI.MasterPage' does not contain a definition for 'bodyNode If I add this to the aspx content page: <% @ MasterType VirtualPath="~/MasterPage.master"%> The message then changes to: bodyNode is inaccessible due to its protection level Please advise, I've wasted like 2 hours on what feels like something that should be really simple to do :(

However the HttpUtility class would still not resolve, and I discovered (via this question) that I needed to add a reference to my project. Question: Why do I need to add a reference to this library when for most other classes a "using" directive will suffice?

When you'r adding a list of items, I do something like: var template = new Template("<li id='list#{id}'>#{value}</li>"); var arrayTemplate = []; arrayOfItem.each(function(item, index){ arrayTemplate.push(template.evaluate( id : index, value : item)) }); after this two options add the list via "update" or "insert" ----- $("elementToUpdate").update("<ul>" + arrayTemplate.join("") + "</ul">); the question is how can I add the event handler without repeat the process of read the array, this is because if you try add a Event before the update or insert you will get an Error because the element isn't still on the DOM. so what I'm doing by now is after insert or update: arrayOfItem.each(function(item, index){ $("list" + index).observe("click", function(){ alert("I see the world"); }) }); so the question is exist a better way to doing this??????

  • Sizing issues while adding a .Net UserControl to a TabPage

    I have a complex Windows Forms GUI program that has a lot of automated control generation and manipulation. One thing that I need to be able to do is add a custom UserControl to a newly instatiated TabPage. However, when my code does this I get automatic resizing events that cause the formatting to get ugly. Without detailing all of the different Containers that could possibly be involved, the basic issue is this: At a certain point in the code I create a new tab page: TabPage tempTabPage = new TabPage("A New Tab Page"); Then I set it to a certain size that I want it to maintain: tempTabPage.Width = 1008; tempTabPage.Height = 621; Then I add it to a TabControl: tabControl.TabPages.Add(tempTabPage); Then I create a user control that I want to appear in the newly added TabPage: CustomView customView = new CustomView("A new custom control"); Here is where the problem comes in. At this point both the tempTabPage and the customView are the same size with no padding or margin and they are the size I want them to be. I now try to add this new custom UserControl to the tab page like this: tempTabPage.Controls.Add(customView); When making this call the customView and it's children controls get resized to be larger and so parts of the customView are hidden. Can anyone give me any direction on what to look for or what could be causing this kind of issue? Thanks ahead of time.

Currently what displays in the simulator is just hte contents of the paint function, however the ObjectChoiceField is still selectable if one happens to click in the right location. I would like both the text contents and the paint function contents to appear.     an ActiveX control generated by Visual Basic 6, very old stuff, it has a couple of methods and one event. now I have to use the control in C++, visual studio 2008, but I don't like to generate a form/dialog/window as constainer. I add some MFC class From ActiveX Control. Now the wrap class has all the methods defined in the ActiveX control. I definitely need add event handler to take care of the event fired by ActiveX control. With a form/dialgue/window, it could be done by below BEGIN_EVENTSINK_MAP ON_EVENT. My questions are 1. how to add the event handler without a form/dialgue/window. Is this impossible? 2. Could I manually add constructor in the ActiveX control wrap class, so I could use new operator to get an instance on the heap? The container's class name is used again in the AFX_EVENTSINK_MAP macro and the ON_EVENT macro.

    I have some fairly complex ajax logic etc going on in the onValidationComplete function for a form with jQuery Validation Engine. This is working perfect, but one thing is bothering me. in the form I have the ability to dynamically add inputs (add new row button). so my code structure wise looks like: var form = $('#myForm'); form.validationEngine('attach', {onValidationComplete:validationComplete}); $('#newInput').on('click', function(){ form.append('<input />'); form.validationEngine('detach'); form.validationEngine('attach', {onValidationComplete:validationComplete}); }); function validationComplete(form, status){/*all my logic here*/} What I don't like about it is that every time I add a new input I have to detach and then re-attach the validationEngine. Is there any way to just tell it to add the new input to it's list of inputs to validate?

  • Are SQL Reporting Services Report Parameters deprecated in VS.NET 2010?

    We use an Reporting Services inside an ASP.NET web application. (We have an *.rdlc which is presented to the ReportViewer web control in our page). Our ASPX page wires up a few report parameters in code: var parameters = new List<ReportParameter>(); parameters.Add(new ReportParameter("StoreAddress", InvoiceStoreAddress)); parameters.Add(new ReportParameter("LogoURL", InvoiceLogoURL)); parameters.Add(new ReportParameter("StoreName", InvoiceStoreName)); ReportViewer1.LocalReport.SetParameters(parameters); These are just general parameters that are passed to the report, instead of hooking it up to a data source. Recently, we upgraded to VS.NET 2010. We upgraded the *.rdlc to the newest version and also upgraded the ReportViewer control used by ASP.NET. Everything works as it did before. However, I now want to add a new report parameter to my *.rdlc. I typically right-clicked on the top left corner and clicked on "Report Parameters" to add it. With the new VS.NET, I cannot find this option anywhere - it is not even in the report properties. Where did it go? Are the deprecating this feature? How should I be passing some general parameters now?

  • Spring's JdbcDaoSupport (using MySQL Connector/J) fails after executing sql that adds FK

    I am using Spring's JdbcDaoSupport class with a DriverManagerDataSource using the MySQL Connector/J 5.0 driver (driverClassName=com.mysql.jdbc.driver). allowMultiQueries is set to true in the url. My application is an in-house tool we recently developed that executes sql scripts in a directory one-by-one (allows us to re-create our schema and reference table data for a given date, etc, but I digress). The sql scripts sometime contain multiple statements (hence allowMultiQueries), so one script can create a table, add indexes for that table, etc. The problem happens when including a statement to add a foreign key constraint in one of these files. If I have a file that looks like... --(column/constraint names are examples) CREATE TABLE myTable ( fk1 BIGINT(19) NOT NULL, fk2 BIGINT(19) NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (fk1, fk2) ); ALTER TABLE myTable ADD CONSTRAINT myTable_fk1 FOREIGN KEY (fk1) REFERENCES myOtherTable (id) ; ALTER TABLE myTable ADD CONSTRAINT myTable_fk2 FOREIGN KEY (fk2) REFERENCES myOtherOtherTable (id) ; then JdbcTemplate.execute throws an UncategorizedSqlException with the following error message and stack trace: Exception in thread "main" org.springframework.jdbc.UncategorizedSQLException: StatementCallback; uncategorized SQLException for SQL [ THE SQL YOU SEE ABOVE LISTED HERE ]; SQL state [HY000]; error code [1005]; Can't create table 'myDatabase.myTable' (errno: 150); nested exception is java.sql.SQLException: Can't create table 'myDatabase.myTable' (errno: 150) at org.springframework.jdbc.support.AbstractFallbackSQLExceptionTranslator.translate(AbstractFallbackSQLExceptionTranslator.java:83) at org.springframework.jdbc.support.AbstractFallbackSQLExceptionTranslator.translate(AbstractFallbackSQLExceptionTranslator.java:80) at org.springframework.jdbc.support.AbstractFallbackSQLExceptionTranslator.translate(AbstractFallbackSQLExceptionTranslator.java:80) and the table and foreign keys are not inserted. Also, especially weird: if I take the foreign key statements out of the script I showed above and then place them in their own script that executes after (so I now have 1 script with just the create table statement, and 1 script with the add foreign key statements that executes after that) then what happens is: tool executes create table script, works fine, table is created tool executes add fk script, throws the same exception as seen above (except errno=121 this time), but the FKs actually get added (!!!) In other words, when the create table/FK statements are in the same script then the exception is thrown and nothing is created, but when they are different scripts a nearly identical exception is thrown but both things get created. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you'd like me to clarify anything more.

  • New wxpython controls not displaying until resize

    I have created a custom control (based on a panel) in wxPython that provides a list of custom controls on panel within it. The user needs to be able to add rows at will and have those rows displayed. I'm having trouble getting the new controls to actually appear after they are added. I know they are present, because they appear after a resize of the frame, or if I add them before Show() is called on the frame. I've convinced myself it's something basic, but I can't find the mistake. The add function looks like this: def addRow(self, id, reference, page, title, note): newRow = NoteListRow(self.listPanel, id, reference, page, title, note) self.listSizer.Add(newRow, flag=wx.EXPAND | wx.LEFT) self.rows.append(newRow) if len(self.rows) == 1: self.highliteRow(newRow) self.Refresh() self.Update() return newRow I assume I'm missing something about how refresh and update are supposed to behave, so even a good extended reference on those would likely be helpful.
