  Im using c# .net windows application form. i have created a database named "resources" in SQL server 2005. In that i have a table named "resourcetable" which has two columns. now i need to read the data in the table into a datagridview. I can do this by using the connection string and querry by giving the table name. But my problem is i have a button and if i click on that button, an open dialog box should open and i should be able to select a database amomng many databases and in that selected database i have to select one table amomg many tables. i.e select a table ofa particular database. and the contents of that table are to be displayed in a datagridview.

However keyboard and mouse-handling is quite complex and is also influenced by for instance the operating system (for instance the use of dead keys) Is there a way to build such a control without having to worry about keyboard input? I assume I have to make a textbox control that inherits the original textbox control. How can I handle drawing requests and mouse movements?

  I'm trying to create a CurrencyTextBox that inherits from TextBox. I'm seeing some really weird behavior that I just don't understand. After lots of testing, I think I can summarize as follows: In the class code, when I access base.Text (to get the textbox's text), I'm actually getting the return value of my overridden Text property. I thought the base keyword would ensure that the underlying object's methods get called. • Eclipse + CVS use custom commit

  Hi All, My admin has set up the "cvs commit" in a very non traditional way, instead of typing "cvs commit" I use the admin provided "scriptname modified file" to checkin the file to CVS. I am using Eclipse to my day to day work and till now I am using the Eclipse CVS Plugin to checkout the repo,update,compare,etc and use the command line to checkin. I am getting annoyed by having to go to command line to do the commit, is there any way I can make Eclipse accept when I say commit it invokes the admin script instead of "cvs commit" ? I spoke to Admin and moving the under the cvs pre-commit hooks is not an option. What can I do ? I know fair amount of "Java" I am willing to do some changes to CVS plugin if I know how and where. For example, a Swing interface could have a series of tabs with a constraint that a single tab should only be displayed once per a given entity type (this could be represented as a HashSet). Or a message could give the result of the last operation carried out. Or a JPanel could be linked to a single entity instance for editing purposes.

  I'm creating an application that collects users location (Cell broadcast location code) and saves that location with a name of users option, for example say my CB location code is 546034, now my app allows me to store that location code with a name of my choice say 'Home'. So, essentially my app has that following modules, To collect users CB location. To collect a custom name from user of that location. To store these values in a database. I've succeeded in doing all the above modules. I have a sub-module for my third module which has an option for user, of showing and deleting the database values, the screen shot looks as follows, Now, Users should be able to view and delete entries when he chooses the option 'View my database of locations' I've learned how to query my database values and I'm stuck with creating a list view and providing the delete option.   I was playing with progress bar customization in Silverlight application. What I want to reach is to have progress bar label to show current its state in the following format: "Value / Maximum". So, user will see what is the current value, and what is the maximum possible value. It does work properly, if it is written like above. However, I also need to provide ConverterParameter for Convertor, but not sure how to make it. When I write like this: , ConvertParameter={Binding Maximum}, it shows error on start, that Text attribute is not found in TextBlock. I was also trying to set DataContext as {RelativeSource Self}, but then it didn't displays error that DataContext attribute is not found. How to make the described progress bar label properly?

  Hi everyone, Im trying to make my own debian distribution but I have a problem. simple-cdd works fine but when I try to install my generated .iso, everything goes right since a message apears: " No installable kernel was found in the defined APT sources You may try to continue without a kernel. and manually install your kernel later. • AngularJS, changing the data in a view without div disappearing

  I'm making a little wizard/survey in AngularJS which loads in data to a variable, $scope.styles. I've set up a plunkr for ease of use here: http://plnkr.co/edit/1S542YE7xlO2P4zyhzu0?p=preview Pretty simple. I show each object to the user in succession, which loads in the pertinent images and displays them for the user. clicking "yes/no" at the bottom of the images it loads in the next gallery. There is a big of lag between the refresh here (Plunkr seems to be loading it quite quickly, but this is not the case on my production server so it's even more noticable) which causes the window size to momentarily be much smaller plus all the content below the ng-repeat jumps to the top of the screen. What's the best way to prevent this from happening? Is CSS the only solution here?

  I'm having trouble with insertRowsAtIndexPaths:. I'm not quite sure how it works. I watched the WWDC 2010 video on it, but I'm still getting an error. I thought I was supposed to update the model, then wrap the insertRowsAtIndexPaths: in the tableView beginUpdates and endUpdates calls. The number of rows contained in an existing section after the update (2) must be equal to the number of rows contained in that section before the update (1), plus or minus the number of rows inserted or deleted from that section (2 inserted, 0 deleted) and plus or minus the number of rows moved into or out of that section (0 moved in, 0 moved out).' What i did wrong? Please help me anyone. Is anything i missed?

  I'm trying to make a table visible to Views. One of the columns has type date (as opposed to a Unix timestamp). The example I initially tried to copy from is in modules/comment.views.inc in the Views module: // timestamp (when comment was posted) $data['comments']['timestamp'] = array( 'title' => t('Post date'), 'help' => t('Date and time of when the comment was posted.'), 'field' => array( 'handler' => 'views_handler_field_date', 'click sortable' => TRUE, ), 'sort' => array( 'handler' => 'views_handler_sort_date', ), 'filter' => array( 'handler' => 'views_handler_filter_date', ), ); This makes the dates, which are all in the past year or so, show up as "1 Jan 1970 00:33", so evidently a value of '2010-05-12', for example, is being interpreted as 2010 seconds past 1 Jan 1970 00:00. Can anyone point me to a correct way of exporting date columns? EDIT: I'm following up on some clues found at http://drupal.org/node/476774 .

• inputAccessoryView not hide the view when -resignFirstResponder?

  I have attached a toolbar with a UITextField and UIButton to the keyboard when it becomes the first responder via the user taping inside the textfield textField.inputAccessoryView = theToolbar; Problem is, the toolbar disappears when the keyboard is dismissed, thus preventing any further input. Any ideas on how to make the toolbar go back to the bottom of the screen rather than off it completely? I'm thinking a delegate method might help but Im really not too sure. It seems once the inputAccessoryView always the inputAccessoryView :( Cheers

  Hi! I have been reading SO for some time now, but I truly cannot find any help for my problem. I have a c++ assignment to create an IAS simulator. Here is some sample code... 0 1 a 1 2 b 2 c 3 1 10 begin 11 . load a, subtract b and offset by -1 for jump+ 11 load M(0) 12 sub M(1) 13 sub M(3) 14 halt Using c++, I need to be able to read these lines and store them in a "memory register" class that I already have constructed... For example, the first line would need to store "1 a" in register zero. How can I parse out the number at the line beginning and then store the rest as a string? I have setup storage using a class that is called using mem.set(int, string);. int is the memory location at the beginning of the line and string is the stored instruction.

  We are currently working on an API for an existing system. It basically wraps some web-requests as an easy-to-use library that 3rd party companies should be able to use with our product. As part of the API, there is an event mechanism where the server can call back to the client via a constantly-running socket connection. To minimize load on the server, we want to only have one connection per computer. Currently there is a socket open per process, and that could eventually cause load problems if you had multiple applications using the API. So my question is: if we want to deploy our API as a single standalone assembly, what is the best way to fix our problem? A couple options we thought of: Write an out of process COM object (don't know if that works in .Net) Include a second exe file that would be required for events, it would have to single-instance itself, and open a named pipe or something to communicate through multiple processes Extract this exe file from an embedded resource and execute it None of those really seem ideal. Any better ideas?

In mainForm I am using this: private void Form1_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { LoginScreen login = new MainMenu(); login.Parent = this; login.Dock = DockStyle.Fill; login.Show(); } But I guess it is not modal and thus does not stop the original Form application. Sure I would need the main Form to do not continue until the login form is closed (and login sucessfull). Would using an event correct? Let login object to raise an event that login was successfull and let the MainForm handle it - run the app?

• Problems using Custom Layout in XML

  I've created a new GridLayout class that I want to use in an XML File. The class is in another project. I've created the attrs.xml file in the other project with my properties but when the constructor gets called with the AttributeSet, none of the values are set. In my xml for my screen layout, I refer to the layout with the following: xmlns:gridLayout="@com.mastertechsoftware.AndroidUtil:http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/com.mastertechsoftware.AndroidUtil" Not sure if that is right. I have the attrs.xml file being compiled to R.java in com/mastertechsoftware/AndroidUtil. All the right styleable values are there. In my constructor, I use: TypedArray a = c .obtainStyledAttributes(attrs, R.styleable.GridLayout); this.numRows = a.getInt(R.styleable.GridLayout_numRows, -1); Nothing comes back (-1 does but that means nothing is there) If I use int n = a.getIndexCount(); I get 0.

We have a medium to large based forum, and the current MySQL query looks like this: SELECT `forums_topics`.*, ( SELECT COUNT(`id`) FROM `forums_posts` WHERE `postdate` > (UNIX_TIMESTAMP()-60*60*24) AND `topicid`=`forums_topics`.`id` ) AS `trendy_threads` FROM `forums_topics` WHERE `deleted`=0 ORDER BY `trendy_threads` DESC,`postdate` DESC LIMIT 3 This unfortunately causes an SQL timeout with just one query and Error 500's. How can we get this information as quickly and as efficiently as possible?

  Hi, I am pretty new to iPhone programming. I have a navBar with three views. I need to control audio from all of the views. I only want one audio stream to play at a time. I was thinking that it would be smart to let my AppDelegate have an instance of my audioplaying class and let the three other views use that instance to control the audio. My problem is that I don´t know how my views can use the audioplaying class in my AppDelegate. Is this the best approach and if so, how? Is there a better way?

I am compiling under JDK 1.5 Take this line as an example that I read from standard input: ab:Some string po:bubblegum What I would like to do is split by the two characters and colon. That is, once the line is split and put into a string array, these should be the terms: ab:Some string po:bubblegum I have this regex right now: String[] split = input.split("[..:]"); This splits at the semicolon; what I would like is for it to match two characters and a semicolon, but split at the space before that starts. Is this even possible? Here is the output from the string array: ab Some String po bubblegum I've read about Pattern.compile() as well. Is this something I should be considering?
