Folder name in sidebar is changed, how to get it back?

My OSX is Simplified Chinese, so the user folders in finder's sidebar is like this: AirDrop ???? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? These stand for AirDrop, Applications, Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Movies, Musics and Pictures. However, now with an accident, my "Downloads" folders in sidebar is changed to its original english name, and I don't why, so my sidebar is now look like: AirDrop ???? ?? ?? Downloads ?? ?? ?? I know do symbol link to these folders would cause such case but I cannot find any symbol links to my ~/Downloads folder. So is there any way to get the Chinese name back? it looks so weired and dirty. I have a time machine backup 3 days ago, but I have quite a lot modifications to my user folder these 3 days, so time machine may not be a good choice.

How can I find which logon script is being run?

I'm having an issue with network drives. Suddenly some computers and users aren't getting their mapped network drives from the logon script. I am NOT a domain admin, I don't have permission to login to the domain controller. And I know very little about Active Directory. The issue seems random, some users this day, different users tomorrow. Some computers run fine and some won't map no matter who logs in. They are mixed OS's XP (SP3), Vista, and 7. I was looking at the domain in windows explorer and I have found the batch file(s) that maps the drives in several locations, how do I know which one is actually being ran? The .bat file is located in \DOMAIN\NETLOGON\script.bat and \DOMAIN\SYSVOL\DOMAIN\scripts\script.bat and \DOMAIN\SYSVOL\DOMAIN\policies\GUID(Right? It's a crazy string)\User\Scripts\Logon\script.bat So, how can I figure out which one is actually being ran per computer or user? Cause they are all slightly different from each other and one of them doesn't map properly. Do all the files in NETLOGON get ran? Cause there are 15+ files in there. Or is it specified in Group Policy which one(s) get ran? EDIT: I am able to access a program called Active Directory Users and Computers, but the properties tab for any user is blank for the logon script.

I am attempting to setup a new server with Nginx 1.0.10 on debian 6. The config below works perfectly on a server with nginx 0.8.36 on Ubuntu 10.04.3 but not on the new box. Metro: Declarative Data Binding

The goal of this blog post is to describe how declarative data binding works in the WinJS library. In particular, you learn how to use both the data-win-bind and data-win-bindsource attributes. You also learn how to use calculated properties and converters to format the value of a property automatically when performing data binding. By taking advantage of WinJS data binding, you can use the Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) pattern when building Metro style applications with JavaScript. By using the MVVM pattern, you can prevent your JavaScript code from spinning into chaos. The MVVM pattern provides you with a standard pattern for organizing your JavaScript code which results in a more maintainable application. Using Declarative Bindings You can use the data-win-bind attribute with any HTML element in a page. The data-win-bind attribute enables you to bind (associate) an attribute of an HTML element to the value of a property. Imagine, for example, that you want to create a product details page. You want to show a product object in a page. You use the data-win-bind attribute to set properties of the HTML element associated with the data-win-attribute. The data-win-bind attribute takes a semicolon delimited list of element property names and data source property names: data-win-bind=”elementPropertyName:datasourcePropertyName; elementPropertyName:datasourcePropertyName;…” In the HTML page above, the first two data-win-bind attributes are used to set the values of the innerText property of the SPAN elements. The last data-win-bind attribute is used to set the values of the IMG element’s src and alt attributes. By the way, using data-win-bind attributes is perfectly valid HTML5. The HTML5 standard enables you to add custom attributes to an HTML document just as long as the custom attributes start with the prefix data-. So you can add custom attributes to an HTML5 document with names like data-stephen, data-funky, or data-rover-dog-is-hungry and your document will validate. The WinJS.Binding.processAll() method is called to perform the actual binding (Don’t confuse WinJS.Binding.processAll() and WinJS.UI.processAll() – these are different methods). The first parameter passed to the processAll() method represents the root element for the binding. In other words, binding happens on this element and its child elements. If you provide the value null, then binding happens on the entire body of the document (document.body). The second parameter represents the data context. This is the object that has the properties which are displayed with the data-win-bind attributes. In the code above, the product object is passed as the data context parameter. Another word for data context is view model. Creating Complex View Models In the previous section, we used the data-win-bind attribute to display the properties of a simple object: a single product. However, you can use binding with more complex view models including view models which represent multiple objects. For example, the view model in the following default.js file represents both a customer and a product object. Creating Calculated Properties You might want to modify a property before displaying the property. For example, you might want to format the product price property before displaying the property. You don’t want to display the raw product price “80000”. Instead, you want to display the formatted price “$80,000”. You also might need to combine multiple properties. For example, you might need to display the customer full name by combining the values of the customer first and last name properties. In these situations, it is tempting to call a function when performing binding. For example, you could create a function named fullName() which concatenates the customer first and last name. Unfortunately, the WinJS library does not support the following syntax: <span data-win-bind=”innerText:fullName()”></span> Instead, in these situations, you should create a new property in your view model that has a getter. For example, the customer object in the following default.js file includes a property named fullName which combines the values of the firstName and lastName properties: (function () { "use strict"; var app = WinJS.Application; app.onactivated = function (eventObject) { if (eventObject.detail.kind === Windows.ApplicationModel.Activation.ActivationKind.launch) { var customer = { firstName: "Fred", lastName: "Flintstone", get fullName() { return this.firstName + " " + this.lastName; } }; WinJS.Binding.processAll(null, customer); } }; app.start(); })(); The customer object has a firstName, lastName, and fullName property. Notice that the fullName property is defined with a getter function. When you read the fullName property, the values of the firstName and lastName properties are concatenated and returned. The following HTML page displays the fullName property in an H1 element. This approach makes sense when the formatting logic is specific to a particular view model. If, on the other hand, you need to perform the same type of formatting for multiple view models then it makes more sense to create a converter function. A converter function is a function which you can apply whenever you are using the data-win-bind attribute. Imagine, for example, that you want to create a general function for displaying dates. You always want to display dates using a short format such as 12/25/1988. The following JavaScript file – named converters.js – contains a shortDate() converter: (function (WinJS) { var shortDate = WinJS.Binding.converter(function (date) { return date.getMonth() + 1 + "/" + date.getDate() + "/" + date.getFullYear(); }); // Export shortDate WinJS.Namespace.define("MyApp.Converters", { shortDate: shortDate }); })(WinJS); The file above uses the Module Pattern, a pattern which is used through the WinJS library. This function converts a JavaScript date object into a short date string such as 12/1/1988. The converter function is created with the help of the WinJS.Binding.converter() method. This method takes a normal function and converts it into a converter function. Finally, the shortDate() converter is added to the MyApp.Converters namespace. You can call the shortDate() function by calling MyApp.Converters.shortDate(). The default.js file contains the customer object that we want to bind. Notice that the customer object has a firstName, lastName, and birthday property. If an element has a data-win-bindsource attribute then all of the child elements of that element are affected. The data-win-bind attributes of all of the child elements are bound to the data source represented by the data-win-bindsource attribute. Summary The focus of this blog entry was data binding using the WinJS library. You learned how to use the data-win-bind attribute to bind the properties of an HTML element to a view model. Hi, during initialization startup on tomcat, the configurations are: 1) a webapp/WEB-INF/web.xml that imports yummy-servlet.xml in contextConfigLocation (although i'm aware that is not required since the servlet-name is yummy it will try to load yummy-servlet.xml by default) 2) a webapp/WEB-INF/yummy-servlet.xml that imports a spring/applicationContext-hibernate.xml file 3) a webapp/WEB-INF/spring/applicationContext-hibernate.xml that imports a applicationContext-dataSource.xml file 4) a webapp/WEB-INF/spring/applicationContext-dataSource.xml i'm getting errors about trying to validate user input in php

I'm trying to validate user input in php. This code will check if the values are null or not. If it is null, this will require the user to input the values that are null. When all the text boxes in the html form that came before this. This code will show the submit button, and that submit button will save the inputted data into the mysql database. Postfix - suspend domain from which deferred status was received?

Is there a possibility to make Postfix stop trying (for a period of time) to send emails to a domain from which it received a deferred response? Currently my Postfix goes through each address in the queue. Please see the below example. At 09:48:32 the status=deferred appears. After this Postfix should stop trying to send stuff to the yahoo.com domain. On our server www.example.com, we use the <Location> directive to proxy traffic to a back-end server: <Location /app1> ProxyPass http://192.168.1.20 </Location> Then we added a sub-domain uat.example.com which points to the same IP address of www.example.com. We want to use it as a proxy for client to test an app being developed. Hopefully, the client can access via: http:/uat.example.com/app2_uat Now if we add a Location: <Location /app2_uat> ProxyPass http://192.168.1.30 </Location> The client can access both: http:/www.example.com/app2_uat http:/uat.example.com/app2_uat How can I restrict Location such that only: http:/uat.example.com/app2_uat is accessible? (i.e. http:/www.example.com/app2_uat should not be accessible.)

Connecting to Aerohive APs from Laptops running Win. 7 using authentication from a Windows 2008 domain server

I have deployed a wireless network using Aerohive access points. 2 of them are set up as radius servers. I want my users to be able to use the same user name and password they use when they log onto our domain. They are able to do this from android devices or computers running Windows 8. It will not work on Windows 7 machines. How do I remedy this situation, keeping in mind that the machines are personal machines not company owned and I will have no way to change their hardware or software.

In a multi-domain forest, what EXACTLY happens when some, but not all, of the Infrastructure Masters are on Global Catalogs?

There are plenty of TechNet articles, like this one that say that phantom object don't get updated if an Infrastructure Master is also a Global Catalog, but other than that there isn't a lot of in depth information on what actually happens in this configuration. Imagine a configuration like this: |--------------| | example.com | | | | dedicated IM | |--------------| | | | |-------------------| | child.example.com | | | | IM on a GC | |-------------------| Where child has two DCs that are both global catalogs, meaning that the Infrastructure Master role is on a GC. And, example has three DCs with the Infrastructure Master role on a DC that is not a GC. I understand that it's usually best to just make everything a GC and not have to worry about this sort of thing, but assuming that's not the case - what is the exact error behavior that can be expected from a setup like this, and which domain(s) would this behavior manifest in? The child or the parent?

How do I apply WinHTTP proxy settings domain-wide?

We're already configuring Internet Explorer proxy settings through group policy and it works great. Sadly, I've recently run into multiple issues where those settings are ignored by certain services. I realized that these service have one thing in common. They use WinHTTP, which has its own proxy settings. Now I'm asking myself how to apply those across the whole domain. I realize that I could create a logon script and simply run netsh winhttp import proxy source=ie, but, from experience I know that these settings require a reboot to take effect. So this wouldn't help me at all in a logon script. So, how can I do it?

Should I be running my scheduled backups as SYSTEM or as the our domain admin?

I have a daily backup which is scheduled through the Task Scheduler. It failed with a strange error code last night, but I was able to search and find a blog post with how to avoid the error in the future. However, one of his recommendations was to run the backups as the Administrator user of the domain. Since all of the files being backed up are local to this system, should I continue to have the backups run as SYSTEM? Or is it actually better to run it as a different user? I have been running these backups for well over a year now and have only had a handful of failures, but ironically when it does fail, the error code means it was a permissions issue (or so I read, this code seems to be undocumented by Microsoft). Thanks in advance for any insight into this. Might as well post the error code here too, in case anyone would like to share their insight on this as well, but I rarely ever get this error, so I don't care too much about it: 4294967294

File access with hostname or ip only - no domain?

It seems likely that this is an obvious question, but I'm having trouble tracking down any useful information. Normally when accessing files in a particular directory on a server, I'm able to create a virtual host, assign a domain, root directory location, etc -- however am in a situation where I have server space and need to access files with only a hostname. Is this possible? For example, let's say the hostname is 123hostname.com, and the file I want access to is in /home/sub-directory/filename.php. How do I get at it via a browser? I've tried: http://123hostname.com/home/sub-directory/filename.php ...and some other variations on that theme (that I can't post because new users are restricted to one link in messages). But generally stuck. Any help -- even if it's just to let me know that this isn't possible without some additional configuration -- would be great. Thank you!

Overwrite SOA expiry in a bind9 slave name server.

I run a slave name server of a domain that I do not have full control over (i.e. changing the SOA is not possibly). The SOA specifies an expiry time of one week. For various reasons, I’d like to override that value on my specific slave server to something larger. Is there a way to do that? N.B: I know that for the refresh and retry fields, bind9 provides the options min-refresh-time, max-refresh-time, min-retry-time and max-retry-time to overrule the SOA, as mentioned in the documentation. For some reason this just does not inclucde expiry.

Windows 2003 Server on a domain, XP client PCs on a workgroup - file share without authentication?

I have a windows 2003 server on a domain and client PCs running XP on a workgroup. I have created a file share on the server that should be accessible by the client PCs. I even set the security and sharing to 'Everyone' just to test. When I try to access the file share from any of the XP machines, I get an authentication prompt that displays asking for credentials, even though 'Everyone' has full control currently (just for testing purposes). Why is it asking to authenticate? I need it to where it doesn't ask to authenticate. I also made sure passwords were set on all XP machines since I found this could be one possible issue and they all were. Any ideas? Thanks!

I have 1 Static IP from my ISP, 58.59.60.61 I have 3 local physical web servers: Win2008 IIS 7, local IP 192.168.10.11, mydomain.com Ubuntu Apache2, local IP 192.168.10.12, subdomain1.mydomain.com Win2003 IIS 6, local IP 192.168.10.13, subdomain2.mydomain.com I have 1 domain name, mydomain.com. It is configured this way: Host(A), @, 58.59.60.61 Host(A), subdomain1, 58.59.60.61 Host(A), subdomain2, 58.59.60.61 My router is a pfSense box. It forwards all port 80 traffic to a group alias called "WebServers," which is my 3 web server IP's. This setup should work right? I believe I need to set the "host header names" in my web servers. In IIS I know how to do this. How do I do this in Apache2?

Unable to reach files in subfolder with domain name in path in IIS 5.

In IIS 5 files in the url: http://acme.com/_cache/cache-www.acme.com/v3.css are not accessible. All files below "cache-www.acme.com" are unreachable. I've verified that the files exists. Permissions are not a problem. I've assigned "Everyone" to the files and give "Everyone" full rights. What I have determined is in IIS 5 if there is a domain in the folder path, IIS 5 gets confused... Other javascript files outside the directory comedown fine... Any thoughts?

How to mount a cdrom to a kvm/qemu domain?

I have set up a virtual machine running Windows XP on my Ubuntu laptop. Using the virt-manager GUI application, I can insert a CD in my drive and go to Details?IDE CDROM 1 and click on the Connect button. Then the CD becomes available in my virtual machine. How can I do the same through the command line? Obviously, I'd like to be able to disconnect from the command line too. Note: I can start the VM from the command line using virsh start testbed (testbed being the name of the domain/VM).
