  • IPhone SDK handling calls

    Is there any way to handle call events in IPhone? i.e. Log calls and sms in my app, block unwanted numbers, etc. I know the IPhone SDK doesn't provide that but I have been googling this and what I got was an app called iBlackList. Although it runs on jail-broken phones but it does my required functionality. I wonder how? Has anyone idea about how these tasks can be accomplished?

  • How do I track the method the user is looking at in VS 2010 IDE as an Addin

    I have been wandering around the object model for VS 2010 and haven't been able to work out the best method for watching what the user is looking at in the main edit window. I know that each Class/method/property is broken down into its own . What I would ideally like is to hook to an event which says "The user has moved the cursor onto Project.Class.Method" and ideally "and is looking at line 4". Any suggestions?

  • Problems With Eclipse and Ruby Plugin

    I installed Eclipse and then the Ruby Development Tools (RDT), but it would crash when I try to alter certain features, like having line numbers, how far back to have history, and the code coloring scheme didn't work fully. I decided to try to uninstall Eclipse by doing sudo aptitude remove eclipse and then sudo aptitude install eclipse but instead it installed it back with the broken Ruby plugin. I also tried aptitude purge but that didn't help either. How can I freshly reinstall eclipse and get a properly working Ruby plugin?

  • What is mangling tinyurls?

    Hello all. I've noticed that some form processors make a mess out of posted TinyURLs (converting the thing to a broken 'tinyurl": "http:\/?\/?tinyurl.com\/?whatever", "ok": tr') while leaving alone other plain URLs. I've seen it happen in WordPress, and I've seen it here on SO (eg.: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2508690/whats-the-most-efficient-way-to-setup-a-multi-lingual-website - second comment to first answer). Has anybody looked into what component or function is doing this? Is there a way to prevent it?

  • Spring/Eclipse 'referenced bean not found' warning when using <import>?

    I have just broken up a Spring bean configuration file into smaller external files and have used the the "import" directive to include them in my Spring Test application context XML file. But whenever I reference one of the beans from the imported files I get a warning within Eclipse/STS/Spring XML editor complaining that "referenced bean 'foo' not found" Is this is a bug or is it me? It's really annoying because I don't want to disable the warning, yet at my company we try to eliminate all warnings.

  • What is the most elegant way to implement a business rule relating to a child collection in LINQ?

    I have two tables in my database: Wiki WikiId ... WikiUser WikiUserId (PK) WikiId UserId IsOwner ... These tables have a one (Wiki) to Many (WikiUser) relationship. How would I implement the following business rule in my LINQ entity classes: "A Wiki must have exactly one owner?" I've tried updating the tables as follows: Wiki WikiId (PK) OwnerId (FK to WikiUser) ... WikiUser WikiUserId (PK) WikiId UserId ... This enforces the constraint, but if I remove the owner's WikiUser record from the Wiki's WikiUser collection, I recieve an ugly SqlException. This seems like it would be difficult to catch and handle in the UI. Is there a way to perform this check before the SqlException is generated? A better way to structure my database? A way to catch and translate the SqlException to something more useful? Edit: I would prefer to keep the validation rules within the LINQ entity classes if possible. Edit 2: Some more details about my specific situation. In my application, the user should be able to remove users from the Wiki. They should be able to remove any user, except the user who is currently flagged as the "owner" of the Wiki (a Wiki must have exactly one owner at all times). In my control logic, I'd like to use something like this: wiki.WikiUsers.Remove(wikiUser); mRepository.Save(); And have any broken rules transferred to the UI layer. What I DON'T want to have to do is this: if(wikiUser.WikiUserId != wiki.OwnerId) { wiki.WikiUsers.Remove(wikiUser); mRepository.Save(); } else { //Handle errors. } I also don't particularly want to move the code to my repository (because there is nothing to indicate not to use the native Remove functions), so I also DON'T want code like this: mRepository.RemoveWikiUser(wiki, wikiUser) mRepository.Save(); This WOULD be acceptable: try { wiki.WikiUsers.Remove(wikiUser); mRepository.Save(); } catch(ValidationException ve) { //Display ve.Message } But this catches too many errors: try { wiki.WikiUsers.Remove(wikiUser); mRepository.Save(); } catch(SqlException se) { //Display se.Message } I would also PREFER NOT to explicitly call a business rule check (although it may become necessary): wiki.WIkiUsers.Remove(wikiUser); if(wiki.CheckRules()) { mRepository.Save(); } else { //Display broken rules }

    Is it possible to configure CruiseControl.NET to send an email to the user(s) that did modifications to a broken build by mapping their SVN username to the corresponding Active-Directory alias (hence retrieving the correct, updated email address). Our SVN server is set-up to allow users of a certain Active-Directory group to read and commit changes: I don't want to have to maintain the CruiseControl.NET config every time a user gets added to our Programmers group in Active-Directory.     I've got a really nasty problem... I wrote a Red5 app and so on and it is running perfectly on my local computer. Now the problem occurs = How can I make this program work on a remote server? Local : Mac OS X 10.5 - Red5 0.63 Server: CentOS 5 - Red5 0.90 Maybe it's because of the version difference. But I can't test Red5 0.90 locally because it won't start up and I can't install the 0.63 version on the server because of missing dependencies (and broken links to them...)

  • C check before writing to closed pipe

    Is there an easy way to check if a pipe is closed before writing to it in C? I have a child and parent process, and the parent has a pipe to write to the child. However, if the child closes the pipe and the parent tries to read - I get a broken pipe error. So how can I check to make sure I can write to the pipe, so I can handle it as an error if I can't?     I'm using simple code: import urllib2 response = urllib2.urlopen("http://www.mysite.com/getfile/4355") output = open('myfile.zip','wb') output.write(response.read()) output.close() The web-server is IIS + ASP.NET MVC 4 It returns FileResult wrapping a zip-file with "application/octet-stream" content-type. The problem is that downloaded zip file is broken - only 4.1kB size, where it must be 24kB. When I type the url adress in web-browser directly - it downloads and opens fine. Could you please, suggest, what's wrong with my Python code?

    Hello everybody I am using -webkit-transform (and -moz-transform / -o-transform) to rotate a div. Also have position fixed added so the div scrols down with the user. In Firefox it works fine, but in webkit based browsers it's broken. After using the -webkit-transform, the position fixed doesn't work anymore! How is that possible?

    Given the following query: (field:value1 OR field:value2 OR field:value3 OR ... OR field:value50) Can this be broken down into something less verbose? Basically I have hundreds of category IDs, and I need to search for items under large groups of category IDs (20-50 at a time). In MySQL, I'd just use field IN(value1, value2, value3) rather than (field = value1 OR field = value2 etc...). Is there a simpler way for Solr/Lucene?

  • Is it possible to plot a single density over a discrete variable?

    The x-axis is time broken up into time intervals. There is an interval column in the data frame that specifies the time for each row. Plotting a histogram or line using geom_histogram and geom_freqpoly works great, but I'd like to use geom_density to get a filled area. Perhaps there is a better way to achieve this. Right now, if I use geom_density, curves are created for each discrete factor level instead of smoothing over all of them.

    seems like a call to $this->_redirect('*/*/myaction',$myargs); does not properly escape the arguments so if $myargs=array(p1=>'string that has + or / within it') the created URL will be something like: ..../myaction/?p1/string%20that%20has%20+%20or%20/%20within%20it causing the getParams collection on the action to have p1 with value 'string that has or ' <- plus sign missing and value broken and ' within it' with no value or something similar. is there any standard way I should handle the arguments before passing them to _redirect ?
