    I am facing a company that have a fairly recent Microsoft Dynamics NAV (C/Side) setup that comes with a non-SQL storage system called the native database server. I would need to be remotely connect to this database, and perform what would equate to SQL queries with very modest needs (no join, no complex filtering). I am rather ignorant of this technology, does someone knows to how make remote queries to this ERP?

    Is there a database or repository of the legitimate checksums for Microsoft system files? We think we have a 0day on DNS for Windows 2003 SP2 using IRC for command and control. (Latest McAfee does not see an issue). I want to compare our customer's dns.exe and associated DLLs with the real ones. (I will grab a fresh SP2 and hotfixed system to do this, but wonder how to do this in future without needed to do this.)

The proxy mostly works but Report Viewer reports aren't being proxied, all I get is a square window in Chrome and in IE I get the following error: This page contains both secure and nonsecure items.     I am building a video server application that has multiple projects in Visual Studio. One project, the video server project, needs to call a shell script to generate documentation. This works fine when you build the video server project, because the script is simply cd "$(SolutionDir)" start documentationgenerator However, there is also an SDK project that, when built, also builds the video server project. However, when it does this, it does not know where the shell script is, since it tries to use the SDK Project's Solution Directory. SDK Project Video Server Project shell script So the question is: how do I make the SDK Project find the Video Server Project? I checked the MSBuild properties and there are no properties that seem to deal with 'nested' projects.

For some reason it can't achieve that as it is always giving me a compile error that it could not load the type. Error 2625 Could not load type 'Microsoft.Reporting.RdlBuildProvider' from assembly 'Microsoft.ReportViewer.Common, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' One thing that I think it might be a cause is that I had moved from 9.0.0.0 to 10.0.0.0 and after that it does not work.     I am maintaining a legacy Microsoft Access application that is using the Microsoft Flexgrid 6.0. It recently started causing the following error: Run-time error '438' Object doesn't support this property or method People say that this error can be caused by the KB960715 security update being applied, which sets killbits on various ActiveX control methods which were deemed a security risk. But this or no other security update has been applied recently. Others say that installing Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 Service Pack 6 Cumulative Update will update the flex grid. This requires VB6 to be installed as a prerequisite so I installed that on my PC and then the update, and retrieved the updated MsFlxGrd.ocx file(Version: 6.1.98.12) and copied to the application machine, but the error still prevails. Someone here says you can disable the killbit in the registry. But there are afew hundred nodes in the location they suggest, none of which has the same guid as the one they point out. Any ideas?

    Hi There, I'm working with a WCF service in Azure, which uses Windows Live ID authentication with the recent deviceid requirements. When I host my WCF service locally in the compute emulator, it works properly, but when I deploy the cloud service to Azure and call it the same way (from another project that uses the WCF service as a service reference), I get the error: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.IdentityModel, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. I found this post : http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/netservices/thread/cd139b5c-ad12-4298-af2f-1b2d0136a977 But there are a few problems: 1. I don't seem to have access to Microsoft.IdentityModel, only System.IdentityModel. I'm not sure why it's searching for something in 3.5 at all, as I'm building in .NET 4.0. 2. This is working fine on development machine since biz talk server is installed on local machine. But in the production environment (asp.net web server ,windows 2003 and iis 6.0)...this give System.nullreferenceexception (object reference not set..) at BtsCatalogExplorer explorer = (BtsCatalogExplorer)myGroup.CreateInstance(typeof(BtsCatalogExplorer)) my biztalk server and sql server are on two different box. In my setup (asp.net web application)..adding Microsoft.Biztalk.explorerom.dll and Microsoft.Biztalk.Applicationdeployment.engine.dll to GAC. But still no luck. Do i need to install biz talk server on my local machine even though I am connecting to different biz talk server?? And help is appreciated...

    I've searched this as much as I can in the time available, but haven't turned anything up. Does anyone know if it is possible to access data backed up from a WinMo device to Microsoft's MyPhone service programatically, without having to restore all the data back to the device? I'm looking at a way of also keeping a local backup of contacts and SMS messages on my desktop machine, but it seems that if there is an API for doing so, Microsoft haven't advertised it at all. I'm hoping that my inability to find any reference on Google is due to my incompetence rather than it not being supported by Microsoft.

With medium trust godaddy does not give persmissions to certain files. If I delete the "Microsoft.Practices.ObjectBuilder.dll" and "Microsoft.Practices.ObjectBuilder.xml", the pages load. But when I try to save the form, I get some error related to this dll. So I need to find an alternative for this dll. I cannot use this DLL. my save, delete, select process is depend on this dll plz provide any solution if u have. thanks in advance

  • Problems in "Save as PDF" plugin with Arabic numbers

    I use the "Save as PDF" plugin with Word 2007 to generate a PDF document from a DOCX document. It works great except that the Arabic numbers in the Word file have been converted to English numbers in the PDF document. Kindly find two links containing two screen shots explaining the problem. The first image is the generated PDF file with the English numbers highlighted. The second image is the original word file with the Arabic numbers highlighted. Update: Thanks very much Isaac, ChrisF and Wil. I changed the Numeral at word to Context and confirmed that all the numbers are Arabic at the Word file. I still have the problem as the PDF file still have English numbers. (Note: The Arabic numbers called Hindi numbers). I also tried changing the font to Tahoma with no hope.

    if I create a new Mail Profile using the Internet E-mail wizard, ie, creating a new local .pst account, and then try to add a .ics iCalendar file with a METHOD of PUBLISH to the calendar of that account, I get the error "The Operation Failed." If I change any of the above it works ok, eg, if I use an Exchange account or METHOD: REQUEST in the iCalendar file. I'm using Outlook 2010 on Windows 7 but I think the user that originally reported this was using Outlook 2007. Does anyone have any idea of why this might be? Thanks, Jamie Kitson

  • Why won't Outlook sync with Google Calendar?

    A colleague of mine is having problems with Outlook and Google Calendar Sync. He got a new machine and set up Outlook 2007 on that machine. He also installed Google Calendar Sync. However, when he synced Outlook with Google Calendar, he got a number of duplicate entries in Outlook's calendar. We tried deleting all entries in the Outlook calendar and doing a 1-way sync from Google Calendar to Outlook, but the duplicated entries appeared again. We ultimately removed the duplicated entries manually, but we experienced problems pushing the changes back to Google Calendar, so we deleted the calendar in Google Calendar and tried to sync again (using a 1-way sync from Outlook to Google). Now Google Calendar Sync says that it is synchronizing, but no entries appear in the Google Calendar calendar. What could the problem be?

  • Excel Add-In not loading properly with 64-bit Excel 2013

    I have an Excel Add-In saved to an .xla file in %appdata%\Microsoft\Addins. In the subject version of Excel it is checked on the Add-Ins list. One thing this addin does is create a drop-down menu in ThisWorkbook's Workbook_Open sub. But the menu is not created and there is no Add-Ins tab on the ribbon. No error messages. This works fine in Excel 2010 and 2007 (at least), and worked fine on the 32-bit Excel 2013 that came preinstalled on this system before I nuked it. The really maddening thing is that if I get rid of this addin and open that same .xla file, either by double-clicking or using the Open command in Excel, the menu appears as expected. I get the same behavior if I instead open the source .xls file - it all works. I've also tried saving to a .xlam file instead of .xla, but get the same bad result. Any ideas?

    I've been looking for a text editor that automatically (or at least makes it easy to-) make some sort of navigation. Adobe Reader has this functionality with its bookmark system: Right now, though, I'm using Word 2007. For each section, I go Insert Bookmark, highlight the text, copy/paste the text as the link information, and it appears at the top of the document. I've made a macro to add bookmarks easier, but it's still pretty awful, and the bookmarks are still at the top of the page (rather than in the sidebar, where it's always accessible) Honestly, I would just prefer to write it in a PDF like in that screenshot. But any text editor with this type of functionality would work. It just needs basic formatting options, bold/font size, underline, images, maybe tables.

    We will be implementing a public-facing website in SharePoint 2010 and I have a few questions regarding licensing: Is there any (relatively) reliable pricing information available for SharePoint 2010? What about rumors? What edition of SharePoint 2010 would be appropriate for a publicly facing website (in 2007, you needed Enterprise for this, but it seems that WCM functionality is included in Standard in 2010)? What would be a reasonable number to budget for SharePoint 2010 licensing for a publicly facing website? Note: I have tried asking Microsoft directly. Unless you are a volume license customer, they direct you to a reseller (like CDW). Unfortunately, none of the resellers have the pricing for 2010 yet. The sku isn't even in their system. I was able to get in touch with the Microsoft Pre-Sales team and they confirmed that the price list will for 2010 will be published on May 3rd (or thereabouts), but they weren't able to give me a price.     I scanned a brochure to PDF. It was portrait & should be landscape so I rotated the page in Acrobat and saved the PDF. I sent it to OneNote 2010 using the "printer", and it shows up in portrait mode in my OneNote file. I cannot find anyway to rotate the picture within OneNote 2010. I did find a link to an image rotator add-in for OneNote 2007, which installed for me but does not actually rotate the image. Has anyone solved this problem?

When I flip back to code-editing view, I see that the code has magically turned into: { IF " Y" = "Y" "You're on Facebook." "You're not on Facebok."} Needless to say, this is a complete bust because it will always say that the person is not on Facebook. I tried putting { On_FB } on its own and that works fine. What can I do to make the If statement work? (By the way, all the { and } were inserted via CTRL+F9.)
