I was trying to learn it from various sources, such as Doug's site, macscripter and this forum Just for learning purposes, I was trying to print on the screen all the tracks names using this code: tell application "iTunes" set myTracks to (tracks of library playlist 1) repeat with aTrack in myTracks get name of aTrack end repeat end tell But it only prints one track name, probably the last one... Suppose I have a project that uses Autotools for compiling and deployment, and I have data files that are to be installed in a location like /var/something or /usr/share/something etc., but in Autoconf, I can change these installation paths. How should the program find these files? How does it know where they are actually installed (if anywhere, since the program should work even if not installed, but run from where it was built)?

    What is the easiest way to detect a character in a text field? I want to be able to detect a certain character and replace that character with another specific character. So If I write in a text field... "zyxw" I want it to be replaced with "abcd". I'm a newbie and don't really know where to start with this or how to go about it.
