  • How to prevent jQuery FancyBox from closing immediately after submit?

    Hi! I'm loading an inline registration form in a FancyBox from jQuery. However after submitting the form, the box immediately closes while there is some feedback that I want to show the user in the FancyBox itself. This feedback is generated on the server side and is printed in the FancyBox. How can I make the box only closing when their is no feedback anymore? I was thinking about using ajax to just refresh the FancyBox itself and not the whole page after refreshing. But I just can't figure out how this ajax $.ajax({type, cache, url, data, success}); works... Also it seems like there's no reaction from the 'submit bind' in the javascript. I hope someone can help me with this problem. I paste my code below. If any questions, plz ask.. Thx in advance!   • HOWTO: disable jmx in activemq network of brokers (spring, xbean)

    Since I've struggled a lot with this problem, I am posting my solution. Disabling jmx in an activemq network of brokers removes race conditions about the registration of the jmx connector. When starting multiple activemq servers on the same machine: Failed to start jmx connector: Cannot bind to URL [rmi://localhost:1099/jmxrmi]: javax.naming.NameAlreadyBoundException: jmxrmi [Root exception is java.rmi.AlreadyBoundException: jmxrmi] Another problem with this is, that even if you don't cause a race condition, this exception can still occur. Even when starting one broker after another while waiting for them to initialize properly in between. If one process is run by root as the first instance and the other as a normal user, somehow the user process tries to register its own jmx connector, though there already is one. Or another exception which happens when the broker that successfully registered the jmx connector goes down: Failed to start jmx connector: Cannot bind to URL [rmi://localhost:1099/jmxrmi]: javax.naming.ServiceUnavailableException [Root exception is java.rmi.ConnectException: Connection refused to host: localhost; nested exception is: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused] Those exceptions cause the network of brokers to stop working, or to not work at all. The trick to disable jmx was, that jmx had to be disabled in the connectionfactory aswell. The documentation http://activemq.apache.org/jmx.html does not say that this is needed explicitly.     Does anyone know off a way or maybe think its possible to connect Node.js with Nginx http push module to maintain a persistent connection between client and browser. I am new to comet so just don't understand the publishing etc maybe someone can help me with this. What i have set up so far is the following. When there is a message it will fire updateFeed. Pretty basic and understandable IMO. My idea is to have node.js broadcasting /broadcast/pub. I think this will let me have persistent streaming data from the server to the client without breaking the connection. I tried the long-polling approach with looping the request but I think this will be more efficient. Or is this not going to work. Node.js file Now to create the Node.js i'm lost. First off all I don't know how to have node.js to work in this way. The setup I used for long polling is as follows: var sys = require('sys'), http = require('http'); http.createServer(function (req, res) { res.writeHead(200, {'Content-Type': 'text/html'}); res.write(new Date()); res.close(); seTimeout('',1000); }).listen(8000); This listens to port 8000 and just writes on the response variable.     Say the user is making a request to the following url: "http://api.example.com/houses/123/abc" That request needs to map to "/webroot/index.php" and 'houses', '123', 'abc' need to be able to be parsed out of the URL in that index.php. It also can't alter the http headers or body. There can be any number of variables after the domain ie) "http://api.example.com/houses/1234/abc/zxy/987" I think I already have all requests being sent to webroot using: <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine on RewriteCond $0 !^webroot/ RewriteRule .* webroot/$0 [L] </IfModule> Which appears to be working but I am not sure if it is correct. But now I am at a loss as to how to take the next step as mentioned above. Thanks in advance!

  • Samba4 advice for production use

    I have an old Samba 3 + LDAP server installed that needs to be rebuilt. I'm weighting my options, and Windows Server seems too expensive at the moment, and Samba 4 appeared to be a nice option, coupled with the last Bind 9 that can dynamically add the computers to the DNS. I have about 30 workstations, so I still consider it a small network. My questions are: Is Samba 4 stable enough for production? It seems as if the Samba team is too cautious on when to call their version final, or even beta, as compared with other open source projects. What Linux distribution would you recommend to set it up? I usually use Ubuntu Server, but may use another one if installing / maintaining Samba 4 is better on that one.

    Hi, I'm using Spring 3, and trying to set up a simple web-app using annotations to define controller mappings. This seems to be incredibly difficult without peppering all the urls with *.form or *.do Because part of the site needs to be password protected, these urls are all under /secure. There is a <security-constraint> in the web.xml protecting everything under that root. I want to map all the Spring controllers to /secure/app/. Example URLs would be: /secure/app/landingpage /secure/app/edit/customer/{id} each of which I would handle with an appropriate jsp/xml/whatever.     I just installed Postfix and configured it to use MySQL.   • Get IIS 7.5 to listen on IPv6

    I'm using IIS on Windows 7, and I can't get it to bind to the IPv6 equivalent of 0.0.0.0 and 127.0.0.1 ([::] and [::1]) The first one gives me an error when trying to start the service that says The World Wide Web Publishing Service (WWW Service) did not register the URL prefix http://[::]:80/ for site 1. The site has been disabled. The data field contains the error number. The second one doesn't give any errors but doesn't listen on anything apart from 0.0.0.0 The bindings dropdown only has my teredo address (2001::) listed, and not my link local (fe80::) one.

Now to the things i need: I'd like to get the median (or any other math aggregate operation) of each Key within all the dictionaries, so that my function to call would look something like: IDictionary<string, double> GetMedianOfRows(this IList<IDictionary<string, double>> list) The best would be to give some kind of aggregate operation as a parameter to the function to make it more generic (don't know if the func has the correct parameters, but should imagine what i'd like to do): private IDictionary<string, double> Aggregate(this IList<IDictionary<string, double>> list, Func<IEnumerable<double>, double> aggregator) Also my actual biggest problem is to do the job with a single iteration over the list, cause if within the list are 20 variables with 1000 values i don't like to iterate 20 times over the list. Instead i would go one time over the list and compute all twenty variables at once (The biggest advantage of doing it that way would be to use this also as IEnumerable<T> on any part of the list in a later step).   • Can't create VM with virt-install on Debian wheezy

    Cant find any answers anywhere so here goes. I am trying to CREATE a new virtual machine using the virt-install command from a console on a Debian wheezy install. I keep getting the following output: Starting install... ERROR internal error process exited while connecting to monitor: char device redirected to /dev/pts/1 inet_listen_opts: bind(ipv4,127.0.0.1,5951): Cannot assign requested address inet_listen_opts: FAILED I assumed that the port (5951 in this case) was being used judging by the error message and other sites I visited for an answer, but the same error occurs whatever number I use for the port. I cant see that port being listened upon in netstat either. Anyone have any ideas what may be wrong?

Often, one decides to change the hosts file, and discovers that the changes refuse to take effect, or that even old entries of the hosts file are ignored thereafter. A number of "gotcha" mistakes can cause this, and it can be frustrating to figure out which one. When faced with the problem of Windows ignoring a hosts file, what is a comprehensive troubleshoot protocol that may be followed? This question has duplicates on SO, such as hosts file seems to be ignored, HOSTS file being ignored, /etc/hosts file being ignored as well as numerous discussions elsewhere. However, these tend to deal with a specific case, and once whatever mistake the OP made is found out, the discussion is over. If you don't happen to have made the same error, such a discussion isn't very useful. So I thought it would be more helpful to have a general protocol for resolving all hosts-related issues that would cover all cases.

    Does anyone have any idea of what can cause this weird behaviour and how I go about fixing it? This is all coming from MySQL only (both RAM and CPU usage), for about 10 minutes after I reboot my Java game server (that has a pool of 256 connections). There are not that many queries and I think it may be more of a MySQL misconfiguration problem. My server: 3.20 GHz * 6 core / 24 GB RAM / 64 bit Windows Server 2003. My game server: Java server, with 256 MySQL connections pool (MyISAM engine), about 500,000 accounts, and 9 million rows of game items in database and about 3,000 players are connected. After about 15 minutes of the game server reboot, the server resumes its stability and CPU usage drop down to 1% ~ 5% and memory to 6 GB. Here is a copy of my MySQL configuration. Also, any advice about my MySQL configuration will be appreciated.   • How do I use an include statement in a TXT record?

    We have a client that is using an email service that requires a TXT domain key reocrd that is over 127 characters long. I'm pretty sure BIND allows this, however we run djbdns with tinydns and it looks as though it only supports txt records up to 127 characters. And the rest is being truncated. I was thinking I can do an include combining them, but I'm not really sure how. I was thinking of setting the value to somthing like... v=DKIM1; k=rsa; p=MIGfMA0GCSqGSIb3DQEBAQUAA4GNADCBiQKBgQC2GWCNaDTuC3include:bdk2._domainkey.mail.cutlerymania.com My thought is, will this grab the actual value located at that domain which only has one record which is a TXT record and simply append that information so the entire key record gets sent correctly?

  • Windows Installer using usb drive for temp purposes

    When installing apps that are built around Windows Installer, it would appear that it often uses my external usb hard disk (when it's connected) as the temp location while it expands and installs the application (creates a folder off the root with a guid name). Is there anyway to change this so it always defaults to a specific drive? This appears to be the case on Windows Vista and 7, not sure about previous releases. EDIT: Current environment variables look like this: TEMP=C:\Users\<me>\AppData\Local\Temp TMP=C:\Users\<me>\AppData\Local\Temp EDIT: I have a funny suspicion that it's using the drive with the largest available free space.

It is binded to adress for ex. siteA.com Now i want to add to this machine website which name will be siteB.com. I created a new website on IIS6 server with name siteB.com but I dont know how to set up a dns server. My primary DNS administrator created me an alias for my server and he describe it to me like this: 'site siteB.com is an aliase for siteA.com' and then he said that I have to configure my DNS server by my own. I've tried to add new alias in my existing DNS zone (for siteA.com) but it's binding FQDN name like this: siteB.SiteA.com which is wrong as I supose. Can anybody explain me how can I bind this 2 webiste to my server?

    I've got a main desktop computer at home, I'd like watch movies using it but able to control it afar. For example, I would like to lay on my bed and control the desktop using my own laptop via wireless. I've been looking for solutions to my question. I tried to use remote desktop, I can pause the movie but I then have to go to the pc to log in the OS again. I also tried to bind my desktop to my mobile phone over bluetooth, this works as I can control the mouse etc. but I found I can barely see the mouse pointer when at long distance. I still wish I can use my laptop as a remote control, is this possible?

  • How to create an array of User Objects in Powerbuilder?

    The application has many different windows. One is a single 'row' window, which relates to a single row of data in a table, say 'Order'. Another is a 'multiple row' datawindow, where each row in the datawindow relates to a row in 'Order', used for spreadsheet-like data entry Functionality extentions have create a detail table, say 'Suppliers', where an order may require multiple suppliers to fill the order. Normally, suppliers are not required, because they are already in the warehouse (0), or there may need to be an order to a supplier to complete an order (1), or multiple suppliers may need to be contacted (more than one). As a single order is entered, once the items are entered, a User Object is populated depending on the status of the items in the warehouse. If required, this creates a 1-to-many relationship between the order and the "backorder". In the PB side, there is a single object uo_backorder which is created on the window, and is referenced by the window depending on the command (button popup, save, etc) I have been tasked to create the 'backorder' functionality on the spreadsheet-line window. Previously the default options for backorders were used when orders were created from the multiple-row window. A workaround already exists where unconfirmed orders could be opened in the single-row window, and the backorder information manipulated there. However, the userbase wants this functionality on the one window. Since the functionality of uo_backorder already exists, I assumed I could just copy the code from the single-order window, but create an array of uo_backorder objects to cope with multiple rows. It is associating the visual object placed on the face of the main window to each array cell, so anytime I reference the array cell object it's actually referencing the one original object, not the new instances that I (thought) I was creating. If I change the code iuo_backorders[ll_count+1] = create uo_backorder the code doesn't run, saying that it failed to initalize the popup window. I think this is related to the class being called the same thing as the instance. What I want to end up with is an array of uo_backorder objects that I can associate to each row of my datawindow (first row = first cell, etc). I think the issue lays in the fact it's a visual object, and I can't seem to get the window to run without adding a dummy object on the face of the window (functionality from the original single-row window). Since it's a VISUAL object, does the object indeed need to be embedded on the windowface for the window to know what object I'm talking about? If so, how does one create multiple windowface objects (one to many, depending on when a row is added)? Don't hesitate to inquire regarding any more information this issue may require from myself. I have no idea what is 'standard' or 'default' in PB, or what is custom and needs more explaining.

  • jquery Tab - Open Link in current panel does not work

    Hi, I just started playing around with the Jquery ui tabs. The content of the Tabs consist mainly of static content at the beginning. Now some of the content within the panels do have Links to some kind of subcontent. So if the User clicks on a link in the panel I would like to replace the content of the current panel with the content coming from the link. So I used the script directly from the jquery ui tab documentation but I can't get it to work. It is always opening the link directly, not within the panel. Using a different function with a simple alert showd it is actually been called when the content of the panel has been updated. But I can't bind anything to the new links in that content. The "$('a', ui.panel)..." doesn't work. What would be the correct selector for this? Any hint? Regards Maik

  • Apache2 Service started twice

    My apache2 web-server starts twice and wont bind, so i have to do this: sudo netstat -nap | grep 0.0.0.0:443 sudo kill -9 1243 sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart Is there any way i can make a script out of the code above so that i can run automatically on start up? I have Ubuntu 10.04, this happened after an update.
