• Authorize.net Parameters with activemerchant

  I'm using authorize.net and activemerchant in a rails app. When I make a purchase authorize.net sends back an email with information about the purchase. I should be able to send them the billing and shipping address information and have that returned in the email, but it's not returning any of the information, obviously I've got the varable names wrong, anybody know what they should be? I've been pouring over the authorize.net api docs and activemerchant's but can't find what I need. • Multiple forms on a single page

  I've got an app that's in invite-only beta right now. Problem is, I can't get the invite system to work. :( On my root page there's a login form (which works just fine), and I'm trying to add a "request invite" form on the same page. I started doing it by putting the form for InviteRequest (ActiveRecord) inside a partial, in the "views" folder for "InviteRequest". • Can I configure the ResetPassword in Asp.Net's MembershipProvider?

  I have an C# asp.net app using the default Sql MembershipProvider. My web.config has a few settings that control how I'm using this Provider: enablePasswordRetrieval="false" enablePasswordReset="true" requiresUniqueEmail="true" passwordFormat="Hashed" minRequiredPasswordLength="5" The problem I'm running into is that when people reset their passwords, it seems the ResetPassword() method returns a password that is longer than I want and has characters that can be confusing (l,1,i,I,0,O). Furthermore, I'm sending my users an email with a plain-text message and an HTML message (I'm using MailMessage with AlternateViews). If the password has unsafe HTML characters in it, when the email clients render the HTML text the password might be different (e.g. the %, &, and < aren't exactly HTML safe). I've looked over the "add" element that belongs in the web.config, but I don't see any extra configuration properties to only include certain characters in the ResetPassword() method and to limit the password length. Can I configure the ResetPassword() method to limit the password length and limit the character set it is choosing from? Right now I have a workaround: I call ResetPassword() to make sure the supplied answer is correct, and then I use a RandomPassword generator I downloaded off the internet to generate a password that I like (without ambiguous characters, HTML safe, and only 8 characters long) and then I call ChangePassword() to change the user's password after I've already reset it. My workaround seems kludgy and I thought it would be better to configure ResetPassword() to do what I want. Thank you~! ColoradoTechie

  Hello everybody, I am trying to build openid login system for my website. To do this I used JanRain's php openid library v 2.1.3. I am also using openid selector to select the openid provider from the list.   I've got a little problem with my password-checker. There's got a registration form with some fields. I use jQuery Validate plugin to validate user-inputs. It all works except the password-validation: The password should meet some minimum requirements: minimum length: 8 - I just use 'minlength: 8' at least one lower-case character at least one digit Allowed Characters: A-Z a-z 0-9 @ * _ - . ! At the moment I use this code to validate the password: $.validator.addMethod("pwcheck", function(value, element) { return /^[A-Za-z0-9\d=!\-@._*]+$/.test(value); }); This Code works for the allowed characters but not for minimum requirements. I know that you can use for example (?=.*[a-z]) for a lower-case-requirement. But I just don't get it to work. If I add (?=.*[a-z]) the whole code doesn't work anymore. I need to know how to properly add the code to the existing one. Thank you for your answers! • modifying ajax returned data before showing

  I'm processing subscribtion form with jQuery/ajax and need to display results with success function (they are different depending on if email exists in database). But the trick is I do not need h2 and first "p" tag. How can I show only div#alertmsg and second "p" tag? I've tried revoming unnecessary elements with method described here, but it didn't work.   Hi, I am testing Paypal's masspay using their 'MassPay NVP example' and I having difficulty trying to amend the code so inputs data from my MySql database. Basically I have user table in MySql which contains email address, status of payment (paid,unpaid) and balance. • Using Linq2Sql to insert data into multiple tables using an auto incremented primary key

  I have a Customer table with a Primary key (int auto increment) and an Address table with a foreign key to the Customer table. I am trying to insert both rows into the database in one nice transaction. using (DatabaseDataContext db = new DatabaseDataContext()) { Customer newCustomer = new Customer() { Email = customer.Email }; Address b = new Address() { CustomerID = newCustomer.CustomerID, Address1 = billingAddress.Address1 }; db.Customers.InsertOnSubmit(newCustomer); db.Addresses.InsertOnSubmit(b); db.SubmitChanges(); } When I run this I was hoping that the Customer and Address table automatically had the correct keys in the database since the context knows this is an auto incremented key and will do two inserts with the right key in both tables. The only way I can get this to work would be to do SubmitChanges() on the Customer object first then create the address and do SubmitChanges() on that as well. This would create two roundtrips to the database and I would like to see if I can do this in one transaction. Is it possible? Thanks

  Hey all, I'm trying my hand at creating a session which stores member information which the application can use to reveal certain navigation and allow access to certain pages and member role specific functionality. I've been able to assign my MemberLoggedIn object to the session in this way: //code excerpt start... I then can send the properties of Session["loggedIn"] to the View in this way: [ChildActionOnly] public ActionResult Login() { if (Session["loggedIn"] != null) ViewData.Model = Session["loggedIn"]; else ViewData.Model = null; return PartialView(); } In the Partial View I can reference the session data by using Model.Username or Model.Superuser. However, it doesn't seem to work that way in the controller or in a custom Action Filter. Is there a way to get the equivalent of Session["loggedIn"].Username?

• jquery validator message styling error in IE08 only when customised using errorPlacement function

  Going back to the errorplacement solution by Nadia (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/860055/jquery-override-default-validation-error-message-display-css-popup-tooltip-like) I have tried it and it works like a charm in Safari and Firefox but causes IE08 to bypass the jqueryvalidator and go straight to the server side validator. My code is this - as soon as I insert 'error element.... it is unstable in IE08.   I have a template with has text in it. It's located in /templates under my project directory. I'm trying to do Japanese now. I create a directory called "locale" in my project directory. • Domain Transfer Protection - need advice

  Hey, I am about to purchase a domain name for a bit of money. I do not personally know the person who I am purchasing the domain name from, we have only chatted via email. The proposed process for the transfer is: The owner of the domain lowest the domain name security and emails me the domain password, I request the transfer After the request, I transfer the money via PayPal When the money has been cleared the current domain name owner confirms the transfer via the link that he receives in that email I wait for it to be transferred. The domain is currently registered with DirectNIC - http://www.directnic.com/ Is this the best practice? Seeing I am paying a bit of money for this domain name, I am worried that after the money has been cleared that I won't see the domain name or hear from the current domain name owner again. Is there a 'domain governing body' which I can report to if this is the case? Is the proposed transfer process the best solution? Any advice would be awesome. Thanks! Jack

  I'm trying to build a simple form in a c++ win32 console application. instead of using cin and keep prompting the user to enter the details, i would like to display the form labels then using the tab key, allow the user to tab through. What is the simplest way of doing this, without having to use ncurses? all I need is cout the below all at once: Name: Username: Email: set the cursor position next to name Field, then each time you hit tab, i gotoxy, and set the cursor at the next position, then set the the cin to the next variable eg. at startup gotoxy(nameX, nameY); cin >> name; Hit Tab/enter gotoxy(usernameX, usernameY); cin >> username; Hit Tab/enter gotoxy(emailX, emailY); cin >> email; is this even doable? I tried while loops with, GetAsyncKeyState, and keyboard events, but the cin is not working properly in that loop. is there any good example for a super simple form, or reference for doing that? I know how to SetConsoleCursorPosition, but how to implement the tabbing while still being able to capture cin? thanks

• How to query JDO persistent objects in unowned relationship model?

  Hello, I'm trying to migrate my app from PHP and RDBMS (MySQL) to Google App Engine and have a hard time figuring out data model and relationships in JDO. In my current app I use a lot of JOIN queries like: SELECT users.name, comments.comment FROM users, comments WHERE users.user_id = comments.user_id AND users.email = '[email protected]' As I understand, JOIN queries are not supported in this way so the only(?) way to store data is using unowned relationships and "foreign" keys. There is a documentation regarding that, but no useful examples. So far I have something like this: @PersistenceCapable public class Users {     @PrimaryKey     @Persistent(valueStrategy = IdGeneratorStrategy.IDENTITY)     private Key key;     @Persistent     private String name;         @Persistent     private String email;         @Persistent     private Set<Key> commentKeys;     // Accessors... } @PersistenceCapable public class Comments {     @PrimaryKey     @Persistent(valueStrategy = IdGeneratorStrategy.IDENTITY)     private Key key;     @Persistent     private String comment;         @Persistent     private Date commentDate;     @Persistent     private Key userKey;     // Accessors... } So, how do I get a list with commenter's name, comment and date in one query? • Global.asax parser errors when deploying MVC 1 application to remote server.

  So we're having some issues deploying an ASP.NET MVC app to a client site. Basically when we try to test the app from localhost, we get the dreaded Global.asax parser error indicating it could not load the application global. Research indicates there are basically 4 possible reasons for this exception we're seeing: The solution hasn't been built. This clearly isn't the case since we can deploy it here and it runs fine on any machine we deploy to AND we had to build and publish the darn thing to deploy it anyway. The Global.asax namespace inheritance does not match the application global code file. Again we double checked this and since it runs just fine here that can't be the issue. Miscellaneous non-descript IIS/VS.NET mischief. Basically something get's wonky in IIS or VS.NET and the web server won't behave correctly for this application. We've done cleans and rebuilds, we've deleted virtual dir and recreated, and performed all of the IIS munging that we've found elsewhere online. Various combinations of IIS bounces, server reboots, virtual dir/application recreation, etc. Code level permissions issue. We've verified full trust in machine/web config in the framework directory, we've set .NET trust to full in IIS, we've granted Everyone full control on the directories just to hit it with the security hammer, etc. etc. The pertinent detials: Windows Server 2008 x64 IIS 7, 32 bit compatible app pool (app was written on 32 bit OS compiled for any cpu) App pool identity set to NetworkService Microsoft ASP.NET MVC 1.0 XCopy deployment We deployed another read-only app just fine. The significant difference in this app is the use of NHibernate and Log4Net which require full trust. Additionally, the actual project name of the web project differs from the default namespace however the Inherits namespace in Global.asax and the Global.asax.cs files match so this shouldn't be an issue. Anybody have any bright ideas? We're officially down to just the dim ones.

• DRUPAL, CKEditor: I cannot add a html tag with Javascript

  hi, I've implemented a Drupal website. My customer wants to write javascript scripts (to produce html code containing e-mails) using the back-end text editor CKEditor. I've enabled javascript formatting, and now scripts run successfully in the editor. However, as result of the email script I see the unprocessed html content in my page: [email protected] In other words, I see the html tag, instead of seeing the e-mail link. I guess this is due to the parenthesis formatting. If I replace "<" with "<" in Firebug, the html is processed and the links works. However I'm not able to do this from the editor. If I type "<" or "<" the result is the same... • Updating a specific key/value inside of an array field with MongoDB

  As a preface, I've been working with MongoDB for about a week now, so this may turn out to be a pretty simple answer. I have data already stored in my collection, we will call this collection content, as it contains articles, news, etc. Each of these articles contains another array called author which has all of the author's information (Address, Phone, Title, etc). The Goal - I am trying to create a query that will update the author's address on every article that the specific author exists in, and only the specified author block (not others that exist within the array). Sort of a "Global Update" to a specific article that affects his/her information on every piece of content that exists. I thought I was on the right track, and here's what I've tried. b.content.update( {authors: {$elemMatch: {slug: 'joe-somebody'} } }, {$set: {address: '1234 Avenue Rd.'} }, false, true ); I just believe there's something I am missing in the $set statement to specify the correct author and point inside of the correct array. • Looking for Bugtracker with specific features

  Hi, we're looking into bugtracking systems at our firm. We're quite small (4 developers only). On the other hand we have quite a large number of customers we develop individual software for. Most software is built explicitly for one customer, apart from two or three standard tools we ship. To make support easier for us (and to avoid being interrupted by phone calls all the time) we're looking for a bugtracker that must support a specific set of features. We want the customers to report bugs/feature/change requests themselves and be notified about these reports by email. Then we'd like to track what we've done and how much time it took, notifying the customer about that per email (private notes for just us must be possible). At the end of the month we'd like to bill all closed reports according to the time it took to solve/implement them. The following must be possible: It must have a web based interface where the users must log in with credentials we provide. The users must not be able to create accounts themselves/we must be able to turn off such a feature. We must be able to configure projects and assign customer logins to these projects. The customers must only see projects they are assigned to, not any other projects. Also, customers must not "see" other customers. We would name the projects, so that standard tools are listed as separate projects for each customer. A monthly report must be available that we can use to get information about the requests we worked on per customer. I'd like to introduce some standard product like Mantis (I've played with that a little, but didn't quite figure out whether it provides all the features I listed above). The product should be Open Source and work on a XAMPP Windows Server 2003 environment. Does anybody have any good suggestions?
