    I m a Software Development major in an Associates of Applied Science degree in Software Development and I ll have a 2nd Associates of Applied Science degree in Information Technology. I m 37 ill be 39 when finished. I enjoy coding HTML so far and networking and windows admin. Are people my age finding jobs right away after school or should i just keeping going to the state university in the CS degree? I kinda want to work.     Oke my question is simple, My parents have a windows pc, and have skype on it. and when they are on skype they can go on the internet and still have a small video hovering over their browser and keep doing two thinks. I just want to know if there is a way to do this with ubuntu skype. or if someone can write a code or something to make this possible (I don t know much about programming and stuff) but i was just thinking :p I think a lot of people would love that function. thanks for reading!

  • Stucked in the grub command prompt

    I have a windows xp os, and I ve decided to give ubuntu a shot. I installed and It when rebooting it did boot by default windows. I red several forums and after entering those commands: sudo mkdir /mnt/ubuntu sudo mount /dev/sda2 /mnt/ubuntu sudo grub-install /dev/sda --root -directory=/mnt/ubuntu after rebooting the system showed me the command grub. And I cannot get anywhere. I don t have a windows cd to fix anything. so how can I launch windows from this command grub? Thanks... I am in a real mess.

  • Win Svr 2003 DHCP Bad Addresses

    After looking at other posts I still can figure this out. I'll start at the beginning... I inherited this network and I'm not the most knowledgeable about networking... We have a AD DHCP Server that is also our DNS server, We were having some VPN issues (on the same server) and my boss decided to disable routing and remote access, which cleared the settings. We couldn't get it set back up correctly so we rolled back to a backup drive they created a number of months ago. Since rolling back I've had Bad_Address listings in DHCP and there is a number of duplicate records in the DNS Forward Lookup Zones. We have less than 50 devices on the network but I have over 90 Bad Addresses showing. This server is currently running but we get IP address conflicts all the time on pretty much all the computers. I have had people do release and renew but it didn't help... I have also deleted and re-added the scope to no avail either. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated and I apologize if I missed another post that has information to help. Thanks, Vince

    Hello, Im making an application in cocoa and wanted to see if some strings in it were easily accessible so I ran OTX on it and sadly all of my code was found. Is there a method I can use to make my code more "secure" or at least encrypt/hide the strings? The reason I want to encrypt the string is it's a password for a server. But if i type a few letters and wish to go back without continuing the search, it automatically asks me whether to save the contents of the field. I don want this to happen. Can i in any way disable the "Changes made!-save-discard-cancel" option in basiceditfield(or any editfield for that matter)????please help!!!
