  • Netbeans: Install/Activate/Uninstall/Deactivate plugins buttons disabled

    I recently installed Netbeans 6.9 on a new computer. I went to install the NB Android plugin, which I have on another computer, but I found most of the functionality of the plugins window disabled. The install, uninstall, activate, and deactivate buttons are grayed out. I have included images at the bottom. This hasn't happened to me before, and searching Google hasn't turned up anything useful. I thought it might have been a permission problem so I tried running Netbeans with gksudo but that didn't help. I also thought it might have been something wonky with the Ubuntu Software Center install, so I uninstalled that one, and downloaded Netbeans from the main site and I installed it in my home directory, but it does the same thing. I'm running Xubuntu 10.10 and Netbeans 6.9.1 Available Plugins Tab It won't let me add more than one hyperlink due to a lack of reputation. Installed Tab - http + i.imgur.com/Nhqi4.png

  • How do i redirect to a GET request from a POST request on GAE

    Hello everyone, i am writing an FBML app on facebook hosted in GAE. Facebook will talk to your hosted app only vai POST (im sure this is the cause, but please do correct me if i'm wrong). So im faced with the issue that inside of my POST method, i need to redirect to facebook OAuth authroize URL. But i can only send a GET request. How can i do that? At the moment i'm doing class OauthHandler(webapp.RequestHandler): def post(self): # blablablab request.redirect(oauth_uri) Which is wrong since the oauth_uri is only responding to GET. Further more, OAuth will redirect back to my redirect handler through GET, but i cant! i can only do post. So i'm confused. ideas? Thanks in advance

  • Facebook Open Graph - post to all approved users feeds.

    Hi, I'm struggling to get to grips with posting a feed item to all the members of an approved application. Within the application settings for the user it is stating that the application has permission to post to the wall but I can only achieve this if that user is currently logged in to facebook. Obviously I would like this to function so that any items I uploaded are posted to all the members of the application at any one time. Am I missing a trick here? Then using the $facebook-api() function I am receiving a #200 - Permissions error. The application does not have permission to perform this action.     I am currently working on a educational and fun 2-in-1 game. As I am not a professional, I need advice on story and news-feed. The goal is simple-get richer, the story is about a worker who is trying to get over his/her financial problems and become rich. During the whole gaming process there is a news-feed (every day there are a couple of fresh news about what is going on). The news are fresh and individual so I need to write about 2000 pieces of news for 2 year gaming, maybe more. The problem is that I am not sure whether repetitive news can interest in this game. What can be done to make the news-making process easier but not boring from the point of view of the player?

    Hi, I'm trying to build some kind of a social game in facebook, where I need that every user that has approved my APP is able to receive notifications from me. When the user approves my App, I save his UID in the DB for future reference. At some later time, I want to make it possible for other users find partners for a game - so I need a way to pick randomly some user from my DB and check if he's online. Then, send him a message and propose to play with the current player. So 2 questions: How can I check if some user is online, using Javascript SDK? It seems that in the new Graph API I can't get the users' online status. How can I then send him a message and propose to play the game?   • Facebook likes reset after moving to HTTPS

    I've got a question regarding the Facebook like button. We worked on a piece recently that embeds a number of social share buttons (please see the source code below). When the piece was released, it was on HTTP, and received over 2k likes (the URL 'slug' hasn't changed at all). The site was recently migrated to permanent-on HTTPS, and the like data has been reset, and we've been left with 50 new, recent likes. If you see in the source code, the URL is set explicitly to like the HTTP version, which I believe to be correct. Can anyone help me work out what's happened here? I'm probably making a beginner mistake but any ideas?

    Hey i have a little facebook iframe application written with rails and the facebooker plugin. I can loop through the users friends and see whether they also have this application. To do this I use a fql qeury, and my own html (no fbml). Now i want to create a button right beside every friend who doesn't have this app, that sends an invite massage. Is it possible to do this without this FBML/JS voodoo? I looked through the RESTful api but the only thing i could found was this deprecated method :( Can someone provide me an code example on how to do this? I really don't want to use this FBML stuff because it doesn't fit into the ui concept of the app, but if that the only way, please explain how to do this (every fbml tag I've tried is just invisible :( ) Thanks a lot.

  • Facebook API friends_get is extremely slow

    I have a PHP application running in iFrame mode. I am rendering an <fb:multi-friend-selector condensed="true"> inside of <fb:serverfbml> tags. This is inside a PHP file that calls a function that gets a list of user IDs using $facebook->api_client->friends_get();. The multi-friend selector renders just fine, but, when I leave the friend_get() call uncommented, the page takes between 15-20 seconds to load (confirmed with Firebug)! The goal is to limit the number of users displayed in the selector by building a list of user ids not to display, for use in the friend selector's exclude_ids parameter. And since it's "exclude_ids" and not "include_ids", I can't think of a way of getting around this api call. It seems to me there must be something I can do to make the api call faster, because I've seen friend selectors that load much more quickly.

I don't mind if facebook needs to authenticate and then post the message. and I really don't want to have to use the full API - as I don't want to handle user login details.     we were working on our sandbox trying to get the facebook like button set up for our site. Like an idiot, I set our sandbox URL as the domain. Here's the question: is there any going back once I've done this? I tried to reset the domain but it doesn't seem to have taken. And, here's a related question: if i just go and make a like button (iFrame version) it spits out an app_id as part of the code. If that app_id isn't hooked up to an actual application w/domain, will it work after we move it to our QA server and then on to production? Or will it, once we've tested on our sandbox, establish the sandbox as it's domain and then we're back where we started? We can't change code once it moves on to QA, it's just bad form...so what do I do?

    I am using the FB graph api to get a list of my friends' friends using: https://graph.facebook.com/<id>/friends?access_token=<token> Now the weird thing is that this works for some of my friends and does not work for some others. Could somebody tell me why this is happening and a possible fix? In cases where it does not work, I get the following message: "Can't lookup all friends of YYYYYY. Can only lookup for the logged in user (XXXXX), or friends of the logged in user with the appropriate permission" And I repeat, I AM ABLE to get friend lists of some of my friends using the above URL. What permissions are being mentioned here?

    Hi, I would like to allow my users to authorise my app with their fb on registration. All of the examples i see redirect users to the fb canvas page after authorisation, but i only want this to be a step in the registration process. Essentially, i want an icon they can click that would open up a new window where they can login to fb and a simple postback to the registration page where i would detect the login and hide the login button. Any ideas on how I can achieve this using the facebook c# sdk? Thanks and Merry Christmas :)
