    Hi, I want to create an animated perlin noise on the iPhone, so I can ultimately do something like this: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1977230/example.png I've looked and looked, but can't find anything similar or a way to actually display a Perlin Noise. I've been told to look at OpenGL ES, but even searching for an example of Perlin noise or a lava/plasma effect doesn't result in anything. I'd really appreciate some help on this one.     Hi,for a project I'm working on, I've defined a custom maven packaging, and the associated lifecycle (through the definition of a components.xml and the definition of a LifecycleMapping). Obviously, this packaging corresponds to a specific development, for which a plugin has been created in Eclipse. What I would like to do is configure Eclipse according to my pom.xml content. I've obviously looked at Customizable build lifecycle, but I'm more than confused by provided information. From what I understand, I must define in my target project a build plugin, in which i'll add configuration elements specific to my project. As an example, having a configurator called mycompany.mydev.MyEclipseConfigurator, I'll have to write <build> <plugins> <plugin> <groupId>org.maven.ide.eclipse</groupId> <artifactId>lifecycle-mapping</artifactId> <version>0.9.9-SNAPSHOT</version> <configuration> <mappingId>customizable</mappingId> <configurators> <configurator id='mycompany.mydev.MyEclipseConfigurator'/> </configurators> </configuration> </plugin> </plugins> </build> Am I right ?

  • Unable to generate temporary class for web service

    I have an application with a proxy class for my webservice - This works fine in all 32-bit machines. However the same app throws an exception in windows server 2008 64-bit machine. It looks like the temporary class could not be generated for the web service. The error in the event viewer is "error CS0008: Unexpected error reading metadata from file '' -- 'Bad Key.   • Dynamically generate PDF and email it using django

    I have a django app that dynamically generates a PDF (using reportlab + pypdf) from user input on an HTML form, and returns the HTTP response with an application/pdf MIMEType. I want to have the option between doing the above, or emailing the generated pdf, but I cannot figure out how to use the EmailMessage class's attach(filename=None, content=None, mimetype=None) method. The documentation doesn't give much of a description of what kind of object content is supposed to be. I've tried a file object and the above application/pdf HTTP response. I currently have a workaround where my view saves a pdf to disk, and then I attach the resulting file to an outgoing email using the attach_file() method. This seems wrong to me, and I'm pretty sure there is a better way.

    I am an experienced .Net programer, but have not compiled a C/C++ program in my life. Now I have this C-dll, headers and documentation (3rd party, not from Win API), from which I need to call about ten methods. I was thinking of using Platform Invoke. I found these three tools that would create the code for me: PInvoker: http://www.pinvoker.com P/Invoke Interop Assistant: http://www.codeplex.com/clrinterop P/Invoke Wizard: http://www.paulyao.com/res/pinvoke/pinvoke.aspx and possibly Swig: http://www.swig.org/ Pinvoker seems to have a bit different approach than the Interop assistant and the Wizard. Swig I just found when checking that this question has not been asked here. What are the pros and cons of these tools? What would be the best = easiest and safest way for me to produce the P/Invoke code given that I don't know much about C/C++?

    I'm a bit confused as to exactly when symbol capture will occur with clojure macros. Suppose that I have a macro which defines a function from keywords. In this trivial example, (defmacro foo [keywd1 keywd2] `(defn ~(symbol (name keywd1)) [~(symbol (name keywd2))] (* 2 ~(symbol (name keywd2))))) I call (foo :bar :baz), and this gets expanded into (defn bar [baz] (* 2 baz)). So now the question -- can this lead to symbol capture? If so, under what circumstances? I know that it's preferred to use gensym (e.g. bar#) to prevent symbol capture, but in some cases (not many, but still) I'd like to have a pretty macro-expansion, without the auto-generated symbols. Bonus question: does the answer change if we are considering a macro that creates macros?

    I am trying to trying to export a client certificate for use with a web browser. The goal is to restrict access using the <Location directive to the admin area. I have seen numerous tutorials on using self signed CAs. How would you do this using a third party? 1) Do I need to include the CA in the client pfx if it is a trusted root CA? I have seen both examples. Without CA: openssl pkcs12 -export -inkey KEYFILENAME -in CERTFILEFILENAME -out XXX.pfx With CA: openssl pkcs12 -export -in my.crt- inkey my.key -certfile my.bundle -out my.pfx 2) Do I need to still include SSLCACertificateFile for trusted CA in the httpd.conf setup?     Hello -- Using Application Request Routing I have IIS 7.5 set up as a reverse proxy to a Mongrel service which is serving a rails app. IIS is set up to use Windows Auth and is working but I cannot access the REMOTE_USER variable in the rails app to get at current user's identity. I have inspected the request object in rails and I don't have any other variables like LOGON_USER, HTTP_REMOTE_USER, AUTH_USER, etc. I am trying to find a way to inject the REMOTE_USER variable into Mongrel's server variables. This post describes what I am looking for using mod_rewrite on Apache but I am having trouble recreating this rule for iis. this is the rewrite rule from the post mentioned above for Apache RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{LA-U:REMOTE_USER} (.+) RewriteRule . - [E=RU:%1] Header add X-Forwarded-User %{RU}e I tried reproducing the rule in IIS and got a URL Rewrite Module error ("The condition's expression "%{LA-U:REMOTE_USER}" is invalid."). I know I'm probably using Apache syntax where IIS syntax is needed but am not sure how to proceed at this point. Any help greatly appreciated.

  • Can we generate multiple coverage reports using Hudson Emma plugin

    We run both unit (junit) and system (fit) tests on instrumented code in our build. The consolidated coverage report for both is generated as part of the build itself. We then feed the unit test coverage report to the Hudson Emma plugin, configure benchmark numbers and things work nicely. Is it possible to also feed in the system test coverage report separately to the same plugin so that we can get that report and configure benchmarks for that as well? I know there is a workaround of creating a downstream project for the latter activity but it would be good to be able to do both in the same build.

    Background: I couldn't find any decent free HTML to PDF conversion utilities in C#. There are 100s of them for PHP with extensive documentation, support, and CSS support. So I am using html2ps and html2pdf (php). I have PHP 5.2 installed on IIS7 and its working beautifully to create PDFs.
