  • How can I remove the "Dash Home" icon from the Unity launcher?

    My notebook has a widescreen display so vertical space is an absolute premium for me. When I installed Ubuntu 11.10 I was disappointed to see that a new icon confusingly named "Dash Home" had been added to the very top of the Unity launcher. I can't move it to the bottom (by dragging it) and it doesn't have a context menu with which to remove it (by unchecking "Keep In Launcher"). It's horrible. How can I remove it from the Unity launcher and reclaim the space that was taken from me? (I realize that if it's removed I'll have to open the dashboard with the super key - I'm fine with that)

    I finished my website and launched it, I think I had a problem with my robots.txt - so I changed it to look like this: 03/08/2012 # Allows all bots Sitemap: http://www.mysite.co.za/sitemap.xml User-agent: * Disallow: /dashboard/ When I google my domain.co.za - I get this back: Home A description for this result is not available because of this site's robots.txt – learn more. You've visited this page 3 times. Last visit: 2012/08/15 Now since I fixed this and added a 301 redirect to redirect mysite.co.za to www.mysite.co.za I would love it if google bot would come do a visit. Is there anything I can do to get this fixed?

I have done pretty nice SEO of my website , the website is made in php , anyone can submit article and the submitted articles are moderated by the moderators , the site is online from more then a month but still the user count is 10-20 only total impressions are 700 according to webmaster google , how much time does google webmaster takes to refresh the data , cause from 3 -4 days the impressions shown in the dashboard are 700 only , I am posting 2 article each day , please help me , I am very disappointed with all my effort and i really need a good motivation to carry on my work.     I'm about to create a do-everything dashboard for my team and am still having second thoughts about my project/solution structure. Since this could be a long ongoing project, I want to get the structure right from the beginning. This is what I had in mind: Create a solution named "doEverythingDashboard" Delete the project named "doEverythingDashboard" under the solution "doEverythingDashboard" Create winform project named "interface" Create console applications projects for each functionality of "doEverythingDashboard" Reference each console application in "interface" Does this make any sense? Would it make more sense to just have one project and create a class per functionality instead of an entire project?

  • Are my Google Analytics ( 2 domains 1 site) duplicated or unique?

    We have recently built a new website with a new domain to replace an old website, and on the advice of our IT guys and web dev team have pointed both oldaddress.com's & newaddress.com's a records to the new website. Now, they both share the same google analytics code (UA-12345-1) and as such we have two entries in the Google Analytics dashboard. The problem is I'm still fairly novice with GA and as the reports seem VERY similar (~25k pageviews for each domain), are these figures exclusively for that domain? For example: oldaddress.com 25,400 pageviews newaddress.com 25,600 pageviews Does this mean that in total for this website I have 51,000 pageviews. Hope this is clear enough but let me know if anything needs clarifying. Thanks.

  • Joomla Admin module in "New Article" form?

    In Joomla 1.5, I am interested in developing a fairly simple module that I was hoping would live on the right side of the create new article page. I've created a handful of modules before, one on the admin page at the dashboard that is on the right side that you click to expand/collapse. So, can I create a module that I could attach to any new article form on the right side, somewhere under "advanced settings" or something? Thanks.

  • Cruisecontrol.NET & IIS7 Static File Handler Problem

    I'm trying to get Cruisecontrol.NET running with Server 2008/IIS7 and when I try and navigate to the dashboard I get the following error: HTTP Error 404.17 - Not Found The requested content appears to be script and will not be served by the static file handler. I'm a bit lost in IIS7 so it could be something pretty straightforward. They (cc.net) do some funny stuff with http handlers in the web.config which may be related to the problem: Anyone have any pointers?

    I tried to update my app on google appengine by my wireless dropped during the process. When i tried again i got an error "Another transaction by user ajakimov is already in progress for this app and major version." I know i can rollback the update using appcfg.py but i was wondering if it's possible to do this via some sort of a web interfiace (i tried the dashboard i couldn't find anything) ? Thanks.

    Hey guys I get this error on my wordpress blog hosted on my server each time i search for plugins or try to upgrade wordpress and on the dashboard. I have tried changing the timeout from 5 to 30 in the http.php file in wp-includes. This did NOT help. My blog works perfectly fine. This problem is really annoying as I have to manuall copy plugins and themes and upgrades.

    I would like CruiseControl.Net to fail a build when some code metrics change in a 'wrong' direction, i.e. code coverage decreases or Gendarme defect count increases. The Gendarme metrics are already tracked in report.xml file (because they are presented on web dashboard graphs), the code coverage is only reported on build status page (and saved in build report xml). How can I achieve this?

    I'd like to determine if my web app is read-heavy, write-heavy, or somewhere in between. I could take a guess, but I want proof. Is there a query I could run in Sql Server 2005 that would tell me the overall read/write ratio? Are there any caveats I should be aware of? Perhaps it can be found in a DMV query, or the Performance Dashboard, or examining a Sql Profiler trace. I'm not sure exactly how.

I'm aware that there is a split view that is new in iphone 3.2, but, I could not find anything on a slide tab or a side tab as implemented in this ipad application. How is this done?

    Hi folks The activity monitor in sql2k8 allows us to see the most expensive queries. Ok, that's kewl, but is there a way I can log this info or get this info via query analyser? I don't really want to have the Sql Management console open and me looking at the activity monitor dashboard.   • WordPress wp_nav_menu specific sub menu only

    I want to create a menu that pulls only the sub-menu options for a particular page. For example, if the menu option DASHBOARD has the sub-menus MESSAGE BOARD and CALENDAR, I want to be able to create a separate menu with just MESSAGE BOARD and CALENDAR. I'd like to do this without the wp_list_pages function so that the menu options can be managed using the Appearances Menus tab in WordPress. Thanks!
