Drupal CCK field type with complex fAPI child fields

This question is basically a follow-up to this one: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1640534/drupal-custom-cck-field-with-multiple-child-fields I need to build a CCK field type that stores several pieces of data, and fAPI form elements to accept the input for each piece of data already exist. These elements are built out into multiple HTML form inputs with fAPI #process functions. The problem is that when I try to use these elements in my CCK field, the input from the widget doesn't line up with the database columns specified in hook_field_settings(). The widget returns something like this: Array ( [thumbnail_image] => [imceimage_path] => ... [imceimage_alt] => ... [imceimage_width] => ... [imceimage_height] => ... [user_address] => [address_number] => ... [address_street] => ... [address_city] => ... [address_state] => ... Unless there's a way to specify "sub-columns" in hook_field_settings(), it appears to me that I can't use form element types with sub-elements in CCK fields. I've tried using CCK field validation to pull out the "imce_xxx" values from thumbnail_image and likewise with user_address, but that doesn't get me anywhere. Is it not possible to use form elements with child elements in CCK field definitions? Thanks, Cliff Smith

CURL & web.py: transfer closed with outstanding read data remaining

Possibly something to do with 100 continue? I tried writing a python client which might help clarify: h1 = httplib.HTTPConnection('localhost:8080') h1.request("POST", "http://localhost:8080/my", body, headers) print h1.getresponse() body = the contents of the example.zip, and headers = empty dictionary. This request eventually timed out without printing anything, which I think exonerates curl from being the issue, so I believe something is going on in web.py which isn't quite right (or at least not sufficiently clear) Any web.py experts got some tips? Running multiple applications in STM32 flash

Hey! I would like to have two applications in my STM32 flash, one is basically a boot and the other the 'main' application. I have figured out how to load each of them into different areas of flash, and after taking a memory dump everything looks like it is in the right place. So when I do a reset it loads the boot, all the boot does at the moment is jump to the application. Debugging the boot, this all appears to work correctly. However the problems arrives after i've made the jump to the application, it just executes one instruction (assembly) and then jumps back to the boot. It should stay in the application indefinitely. My question is then, where should I 'jump' to in the app? It seems that there are a few potential spots, such as the interrupt vectors, the reset handler, the main function of the app. Actually I've tried all of those with no success. Hopefully that makes sense, i'll update the question if not. thanks for your help! Richard Updates: I had a play around in the debugger and manually changed the program counter to the main of the application, and well that worked a charm, so it makes me think there is something wrong with my jump, why doesn't the program counter keep going after the jump? Actually it seems to be the PSR, the 'T' gets reset on the jump, if I set that again after the jump it continues on with the app as I desire Ok found a solution, seems that you need to have the PC LSB set to 1 when you do a branch or it falls into the 'ARM' mode (32 bit instruction instead of 16 bit instructions like in the 'thumb' mode. Quite an obscure little problem, thanks for letting me share it with you!

asp.net mvc and portal like functionality

fHi, I need to build an site with some portal like functionality where an param in the request will indentify the portal. like so http:/domain/controller/action/portal Now my problem is if an portal doesn't exists there must be an redirect to an other site/page and an user can login in to one portal but if the user comes to an other portal the user must be redirected back to the login page for that portal. I have something working now, but i feel like there must be an central place in the pipeline to handle this. My current solution uses an custom action filter which checks the portal param and sees if the portal exists and checks if the user logged on in that portal (the portal the user logged on for is in the authentication cookie). I make my own IIndentiy and IPrincipal in the application_postauthentication event. I have 2 problems with my current approach: 1: It's not really enforced, i have to add the attributes to all controllers and/or actions. 2: The isauthenticated on an user isn't really working, i would like that to work. But for that i need to have access to the params of the route when i create my IPrincipal/IIndenty and i can't seem to find an correct place to do that. Hi, I have this countdown script wrapped as an object located in a separate file Then when I want to setup a counter, the timeout function in the countdown class can not find the object again that I have setup within the document ready. I sort of get that everything that is setup in the document ready is convined to that scope, however it is possible to call functions within other document ready´s. Does anyone has a solution on how I could setup multiple counters slash objects. How can I accelerate the generation of the an MD5 Checksum within vb.net?

I'm working with some very large files residing on P2 (Panasonic) cards. Part of the process we employ is to first generate a checksum of the file we are going to copy, then copy the file, then run a checksum on the file to confirm that it copied OK. The problem is, is that files are large (70 GB+) and take a long time to complete. It's an issue since we will eventually be dealing with thousands of these files. I would like to find a faster way to generate the checksum other than using the System.Security.Cryptography.MD5CryptoServiceProvider I don't care if this means using a specialized hardware card, provided it works and is not to ungodly expensive. I would prefer to have a method of encoding that provided some feedback as to how far the process has gone along so I can display it like I do now. The application is written in vb.net. I would prefer to be able to use it as component, library, reference within my application, but I'm willing to call an outside application if there is enough improvement in the speed of generating the checksum. The Trigger stuffs a string of comma separated Code values from all child records (Codes) into a single field in the parent record (Projects) of the added, updated or deleted child record. I have names like this: $str = 'JAMES "JIMMY" SMITH' I run strtolower, then ucwords, which returns this: $proper_str = 'James "jimmy" Smith' I'd like to capitalize the second letter of words in which the first letter is a double quote. Here's the regexp. It appears strtoupper is not working - the regexp simply returns the unchanged original expression. $proper_str = preg_replace('/"([a-z])/',strtoupper('$1'),$proper_str); Any clues? Thanks!!

I have a CSV dump from another DB that looks like this (id, name, notes): 1001,John Smith,15 Main Street 1002,Jane Smith,"2010 Rockliffe Dr. Pleasantville, IL USA" 1003,Bill Karr,2820 West Ave. The last field may contain carriage returns and commas, in which case it is surrounded by double quotes. I use this code to import CSV into my table: BULK INSERT CSVTest FROM 'c:\csvfile.csv' WITH ( FIELDTERMINATOR = ',', ROWTERMINATOR = '\n' ) SQL Server 2005 bulk insert cannot figure out that carriage returns inside quotes are not row terminators. How to overcome?

Potential issues using member's "from" address and the "sender" header

Hi all, A major component of our application sends email to members on behalf of other members. Currently we set the "From" address to our system address and use a "Reply-to" header with the member's address. The issue is that replies from some email clients (and auto-replies/bounces) don't respect the "Reply-to" header so get sent to our system address, effectively sending them to a black hole. We're considering setting the "From" address to our member's address, and the "Sender" address to our system address. It appears this way would pass SPF and Sender-ID checks. Are there any reasons not to switch to this method? Are there any other potential issues? Thanks in advance, -Paul Here are way more details than you probably need: When the application was first developed, we just changed the "from" address to be that of the sending member as that was the common practice at the time (this was many years ago). We later changed that to have the "from" address be the member's name and our address, i.e., From: "Mary Smith" <[email protected]> With a "reply-to" header set to the member's address: Reply-To: "Mary Smith" <[email protected]> This helped with messages being mis-categorized as spam. As SPF became more popular, we added an additional header that would work in conjunction with our SPF records: Sender: <[email protected]> Things work OK, but it turns out that, in practice, some email clients and most MTA's don't respect the "Reply-To" header. Because of this, many members send messages to [email protected] instead of the desired member. So, I started envisioning various schemes to add data about the sender to the email headers or encode it in the "from" email address so that we could process the response and redirect appropriately. For example, From: "Mary Smith" <[email protected]> where the string after "messages" is a hash representing Mary Smith's member in our system. Of course, that path could lead to a lot of pain as we need to develop MTA functionality for our system address. I was looking again at the SPF documentation and found this page interesting: http://www.openspf.org/Best_Practices/Webgenerated They show two examples, that of evite.com and that of egreetings.com. Basically, evite.com is doing it the way we're doing it. The egreetings.com example uses the member's from address with an added "Sender" header. So the question is, are there any potential issues with using the egreetings method of the member's from address with a sender header? That would eliminate the replies that bad clients send to the system address. I don't believe that it solves the bounce/vacation/whitelist issue since those often send to the MAIL FROM even if Return Path is specified.

I had some troubles implementing Lawler's algorithm but thanks to SO and a bounty of 200 reputation I finally managed to write a working implementation: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2466928/lawlers-algorithm-implementation-assistance I feel like I'm using too many variables and loops there though so I am trying to refactor the code. It should be simpler and shorter yet remain readable. Does it make sense to make a class for this?
