  • SVN: Prevent a newer client from upgrading a working copy's SVN version?

    Is it possible to prevent a newer SVN client (say 1.6) from automatically upgrading a working copy that was checked out with an older client (say 1.4 or 1.5)? I find that as soon as I touch a working copy with a newer client, anyone using an older client to work with the same files can no longer do so (for obvious reasons). Assuming requiring everyone to upgrade their SVN clients isn't an option, is there a configuration setting or flag I can set to prevent my newer client from making this change?

    Hi, I have a problem commiting to svn server, Here's what I got, File Can't read 'D:\SVNROOT\UC\db\txn-current'.: End of file found (It's traslation of Korean, so there's might be differ than what English error said..) In previously, I shut down transaction when update from svn, cause some file was so big, so I was shut down downloading for delete big files first, but after that, I got message about 'txn-current', does anybody can help me to solve this? thank you for regarding this

    i have checked out files from my svn repository to a local project folder. then i add 1 file in the project folder but when i run svn commit -m "added a file" it doesnt commit anything! only when i change in the original files, not adding new ones. how comes? cause i want it to add new files to the repository. thanks!

    I have CCNet setup to talk to our SVN repository, which has it's ACLs setup using Active Directory groups. This is working fine, except I'm not happy with having the user name and password of the AD user stored in plain text on the CCNet instance. Is there a way to either encrypt the AD username/password, or get the CCNet service (I've tried running the service as the user and removing the the username/password section of the CCNet/SVN config) to use a domain account outside of the standard config?

    Hey everybody, I'm looking for a more robust and fully featured GUI SVN manager for Mac than what is built into XCode (which works, but only as long as you don't need anything beyond the bare basics and doesn't work for versioning scripts and such created in other editors). I can use the terminal commands, but I'd really like the option of using a GUI. On windows I use TortoiseSVN and Visual SVN, which do pretty much everything I need, but as far as I'm aware there's nothing even remotely resembling those on the Mac side.

    Hello everyone, I am having an issue when I try and prevent inhertiance from a parent web.config down to a child specifically related to the node. My parent web.config contains about a dozen appSettings values while my child web.config contains none. Now, I originally began wrapping around only my system.net, web, etc nodes however when I ran my child application I recieved the following error: The configuration section 'appSettings' cannot be read because it is missing a section declaration I really wasn't sure what this meant and a google search didn't yield me any decent results so I attempted to move the location node to also encompass the field in my parent web.config but to no avail. My child web.config is pretty vanilla so I am not sure what the problem is. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.     Does anyone know of a way to fix the Apache memory leak in relation to Subversion Server? We have a windows server 2003 machine running Apache to host Subversion. From day one, we have had memory leak issues and have not found a solution yet. All we do is monitor our server when when the memory use reaches near the max it can handle we have to restart Apache.

    I was wondering if there was a unix daemon available that would be capable of something like this: admin adds an IP entry to a DB; daemon finds change after wait interval and manipulates ifconfig/config files I was thinking maybe there is a plugin for cfengine that might be able to do this, but I couldn't find any. I mean this would be a fairly easy thing to script up in perl, but why re-invent the wheel if theres already something out there that is better than what my limited programming abilities can make. Lastly, if it worked on FreeBSD that'd be great.

Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
