  • Trying to cat files - unrecognized wildcard

    Hello, I am trying to create a file that contains all of the code of an app. I have created a file called catlist.txt so that the files are added in the order I need them. A snippet of my catlist.txt: app/controllers/application_controller.rb app/views/layouts/* app/models/account.rb app/controllers/accounts_controller.rb app/views/accounts/* When I run the command the files that are explicitly listed get added but the wildcard files do not. cat catlist.txt|xargs cat > fullcode I get cat: app/views/layouts/*: No such file or directory cat: app/views/accounts/*: No such file or directory Can someone help me with this. If there is an easier method I am open to all suggestions. Barb

  • Include Files using Wildcard into a folder in Visual Studio

    I am using <ItemGroup> <EmbeddedResource Include="..\..\resources\hbm\*.hbm.xml" /> </ItemGroup> to include a bunch of xml files into my C# project. Works fine. But, I don't want them in the "root level" of my project, I would rather see them in a subfolder in my project. For example, this file is included into a Mapping folder in Visual Studio: <ItemGroup> <EmbeddedResource Include="Mapping\User.hbm.xml" /> </ItemGroup> That's what I want for my *.hbm.xml files. I can't figure out how to do it and still keep my wildcard *.hbm.xml part and also keep the actual files in a different directory. I've looked at MSDN's doc on MSBUILD and items, but no luck.

Now I would like to search/filter the map based on the key using a wildcard. Actually I want to filter based on the first 4 characters of the key="101201" so key="1012**".   • .htaccess wildcard problem

    I've come across a problem with an .htaccess rule I can't sort out. It works on my MAMP stack and it works on 3 other servers, but it won't work on a particular server and keeps giving me a "500 error with an additional 302 error". It's the wildcard that's throwing it and from Google research it says it may be because of an infinite loop, but it works on other servers just fine. The site in question is being developed in a sub-directory, but then again, so have the other sites: RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^$ public/ [L] RewriteRule (.*) public/$1 [L] /public has it's own .htaccess file that is: RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?url=$1 [PT,L] Any suggestions as mod_rewrite's not my specialty and I can't seem to fix this.2

    I am using GridView in ASP.NET 2.0. I am want to show the details from 3 tables (SQL2005) in the GridView per my search crieteria (Name of Visitor,Passport Number,Name of Company). It is working, but I want to use a wildcard for searching by first letter of "Name of Visitor". I have my code in the QueryBuilder in GridView (using Configure Datasource).     I'm writing my third app, and I already have an app in the App Store, but I still don't get this App ID business. I created the App IDs for my first two applications like this: XXXXXXXXXX.me.cbg.FirstApp YYYYYYYYYY.me.cbg.SecondApp but then Apple introduced the App ID wizard, which I used to create the App ID and provisioning profiles for my third application: ZZZZZZZZZZ.* So my question is: What is the "proper" way of creating App IDs for three completely independent apps? Should I use the XXXXXXXXXX.* format or XXXXXXXXXX.me.cbg.*? Should I create three different App IDs, or just one wildcard ID?

    As a simplified example I am executing the following IEnumerable<string> files = Directory.EnumerateFiles(path, @"2010*.xml", SearchOption.TopDirectoryOnly).ToList(); In my results set I am getting a few files which do no match the file pattern. According to msdn searchPattern wildcard is "Zero or more characters" and not a reg ex. An example is that I am getting a file name back as "2004_someothername.xml". For information there are in excess of 25,000 files in the folder. Does anyone have any idea what is going on?

  • Best way for allowing subdomain session cookies using Tomcat

    By default tomcat will create a session cookie for the current domain. If you are on www.example.com, your cookie will be created for www.example.com (will only work on www.example.com). Whereas for example.com it will be created for .example.com (desired behaviour, will work on any subdomain of example.com as well as example.com itself). I've seen a few Tomcat valves which seem to intercept the creation of session cookies and create a replacement cookie with the correct .example.com domain, however none of them seem to work flawlessly and they all appear to leave the existing cookie and just create a new one. This means that two JSESSIONID cookies are being sent with each request. I was wondering if anybody has a definitive solution to this problem.

  • Rewriting subdomain to subfolder with htaccess

    I'm attempting to use .htaccess in the root folder of an Ubuntu/Apache2 server in order to mask a subdomain to subfolder and I keep getting a 500 Internal Error. I know that I'm doing something stupidly wrong and it is some silly error causing the problem. I've checked all of the similar threads on SO and online and whenever I try their advice the 500 continues. Here's my code. RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^admin\.mydomain\.com.*$ RewriteRule (.*) intranet/$1 [L] What I want to occur is that if a user visits admin.mydomain.com they will get the contents of the folder admin.mydomain.com/intranet/ but their URL bar will still be admin.mydomain.com. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? In addition, some of the threads online talked about possible problems with this system. Is this the best way of doing this masking, should I be using a vhost setup?

    i have a 2.2.3 app which i upgraded to 2.3.2 it's a multi-site (using subdomain) that creates one top level session for all sites. this is how i change the domain in production.rb: ActionController::Base.session_options[:domain] = "xxx.com" # in rails 2.2.2, this is what i used to do: # ActionController::Base.session_options[:session_domain] = "xxx.com" strange things started to happen after i upgraded i can no longer login using restful authentication; it does authenticate me, but as soon as i'm redirected, it would ask me to login again. as i said, i use restful_authentication and i also use passenger 2.1.2. anyone can help?

    Hey I have a form where the person enters the subdomain like value.google.com and the entry would be "valid" I want to run a regex check (I am absolutely horrible at regex) that does the following: First Character: Cannot be symbol Middle Characters: a-z, A-Z, and symbols - and . ONLY Last character: Cannot be a symbol I want it to spit out false if it fails the test. Can anyone help me out with this? Thanks! Also any other limitations do you guys think should be in there?

    Actually I have a domain - domainone.com I have created a subdomain cname of anoter domain as abc.domaintwo.com - CNAME as - domainone.com so that I can use the js and css files e.g domainone.com/js/jquery.js files as abc.domaintwo.com/js/jquery.js SO Far everything is FINE, no issues at all. Problem: I have a custom 404 page for domainone.com and now when that abc.domaintwo.com goes 404 same page appears which i don't want. Any help is appreciated. Htaccess of domainone.com: ErrorDocument 404 /404/ All i want is to have different 404 for both..... Notes: Don't have access to shell for symlinks or alias as I am on shared hosting.

  • How to set up the CNAME in DNS zone record to work with Unbounce

    I'm trying to run split testing on some landing pages I "designed" with Unbounce, but it requires that I set the CNAME record for my domain/sub-domain and I'm having trouble figuring out what is the right way to do it. My host is arvixe (www.arvixe.com) and their customer support has failed to help me for the past 5 days (I spoke to them multiple times). I followed the directions for setting the CNAME record and I was able to set the CNAME record, but I'm consistently unable to verify that the CNAME record is set up correctly. I followed the instructions on Unbounce to verify the CNAME record for my sub-domain (beta.devboost.com) and here are the results: No records found reverse lookup smtp diag port scan blacklist Reported by ns1.SNARE.arvixe.com on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 5:49:57 PM (GMT-6) Here is my DNS zone record from the control panel of my host (last record, CNAME unbouncepages.com): Is there something wrong with my DNS Zone Record? What's the right way to do this? Update: I also have a CNAME record for beta in my root domain (devboost.com): I've updated my sub-domain record now: I've removed most of the other DNS records and I've removed the beta label for the CNAME record: Is that correct? For the sake of illustration, let's suppose they are IP Address: 12.34.56.78 Domain Name: example.com I have a single machine on which I am running the following: A website (over IIS7) available locally at localhost:80 A JetBrains TeamCity instance (over Tomcat) available locally at localhost:1234 A VisualSVN Server instance (over Apache) available locally at localhost:5678/svn I have set up an A record for example.com and the following CNAME records: www.example.com builds.example.com sources.example.com I would like to configure Tomcat and Apache such that: if I point my browser at builds.example.com, I end up at the JetBrains TeamCity instance and, if I point my browser at sources.example.com, I end up at the VisualSVN Server instance. I thought I could configure the Apache to vhost example.com:5678/svn to point to sources.example.com and added the following lines to the Apache httpd.conf file Listen 5678 NameVirtualHost *:5678 <VistualHost *:5678> ServerName sources.example.com DocumentRoot /svn </virtualHost> That broke the VisualSVN instance, so I had to revert that to Listen 5678 Help!

  • How do I Setup Multiple Sites in HostGator Shared Hosting?

    I recently decided to consolidate all of my random projects into a single hosting account as it was starting to get very expensive to run each on an individual hosting plan. I purchased the HostGator Baby plan which allows hosting of multiple domains. You have to set it up with a root domain name which is fine (I used my portfolio domain name). As far as file structure, I wanted a folder for each site in /public_html so the structure looks like this: - public_html/ - myportfolio.com/ - ... my files ... - anothersite.com/ - ... my files ... - thirdsite.com/ - ... my files ... I setup add-on domains and pointed them to their respective folders which works fine. My problem is the root domain ex. myportfolio.com expects it's files to be contained at the root of /public_html rather than within it's folder I created. I setup a redirect to point requests for myportfolio.com to myportfolio.com/myportfolio.com/ which works initially except (at least in my WordPress installation) it still references it's root folder as public_html. TL;DR; What is the best way to go about setting up multiple site hosting in a shared hosting environment (i.e. I can't setup vhosts). Does anybody know of any tutorials or videos that walk through this more clearly? Thanks.

I want to configure my module for a particular sub domain of the host server. Lets say I want my module to work only for onclick.localhost , then what are the directives required ?     I am trying to setup virtual subdomains using Bind9, following this tutorial.. http://groups.drupal.org/node/16862 which I've completed. Basically setting up the zone and modifying the resolv.conf file and the named.conf.local file. However, when I try and do test.mydomain.com in the browser, expecting it to default for now to mydomain.com it does not work and I get a server not found page in Firefox. I did read elsewhere that in your virutalhosts file you also need to setup a *.mydomain.com alias, but that didn't fix anything. Any other information that I could provide to help troubleshoot, or any troubleshooting suggestions? I am using Ubuntu 10.4, with typical LAMP setup. The only other things installed on the server are Bind9 and ftp client.
