  • My winform application doesn't work on others' pc without vs 2010 installed

    - by wings
    Just like I said, my winform application works properly on computers with VS installed, but on other computers, it will crash due to a FileNotFound Exception. I used using Application = Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.Application; in my source code to generate a Excel file, and the problem occurs as soon as the Excel-related function is called. But I don't know what it refers to exactly. Do I have to get some .dll included along with the .exe file? And what DLL is that? Below are part of my codes: private void FileExport(object objTable) { StartWaiting(); string[,] table = null; try { table = (string[,])objTable; } catch (Exception ex) { ShowStatus(ex.Message, StatusType.Warning); } if (table == null) { return; } Application excelApp = new Application { DisplayAlerts = false }; Workbooks workbooks = excelApp.Workbooks; Workbook workbook = workbooks.Add(XlWBATemplate.xlWBATWorksheet); Worksheet worksheet = (Worksheet)workbook.Worksheets[1]; worksheet.Name = "TABLE"; for (int i = 0; i < table.GetLength(0); i++) { for (int j = 0; j < table.GetLength(1); j++) { worksheet.Cells[i + 1, j + 1] = table[i, j]; } } Range range = excelApp.Range["A1", "H1"]; range.Merge(); range.Font.Bold = true; range.Font.Size = 15; range.RowHeight = 50; range.EntireRow.AutoFit(); range = excelApp.Range["A2", "H8"]; range.Font.Size = 11; range = excelApp.Range["A1", "H8"]; range.NumberFormatLocal = "@"; range.RowHeight = 300; range.ColumnWidth = 50; range.HorizontalAlignment = XlHAlign.xlHAlignCenter; range.VerticalAlignment = XlVAlign.xlVAlignCenter; range.EntireRow.AutoFit(); range.EntireColumn.AutoFit(); worksheet.UsedRange.Borders.LineStyle = 1; Invoke(new MainThreadInvokerDelegate(SaveAs), new object[] { worksheet, workbook, excelApp } ); EndWaiting(); }

  • JUnit for Functions with Void Return Values

    - by RobotNerd
    I've been working on a Java application where I have to use JUnit for testing. I am learning it as I go. So far I find it to be useful, especially when used in conjunction with the Eclipse JUnit plugin. After playing around a bit, I developed a consistent method for building my unit tests for functions with no return values. I wanted to share it here and ask others to comment. Do you have any suggested improvements or alternative ways to accomplish the same goal? Common Return Values First, there's an enumeration which is used to store values representing test outcomes. public enum UnitTestReturnValues { noException, unexpectedException // etc... } Generalized Test Let's say a unit test is being written for: public class SomeClass { public void targetFunction (int x, int y) { // ... } } The JUnit test class would be created: import junit.framework.TestCase; public class TestSomeClass extends TestCase { // ... } Within this class, I create a function which is used for every call to the target function being tested. It catches all exceptions and returns a message based on the outcome. For example: public class TestSomeClass extends TestCase { private UnitTestReturnValues callTargetFunction (int x, int y) { UnitTestReturnValues outcome = UnitTestReturnValues.noException; SomeClass testObj = new SomeClass (); try { testObj.targetFunction (x, y); } catch (Exception e) { UnitTestReturnValues.unexpectedException; } return outcome; } } JUnit Tests Functions called by JUnit begin with a lowercase "test" in the function name, and they fail at the first failed assertion. To run multiple tests on the targetFunction above, it would be written as: public class TestSomeClass extends TestCase { public void testTargetFunctionNegatives () { assertEquals ( callTargetFunction (-1, -1), UnitTestReturnValues.noException); } public void testTargetFunctionZeros () { assertEquals ( callTargetFunction (0, 0), UnitTestReturnValues.noException); } // and so on... } Please let me know if you have any suggestions or improvements. Keep in mind that I am in the process of learning how to use JUnit, so I'm sure there are existing tools available that might make this process easier. Thanks!

  • How to send a Java integer in four bytes to another application?

    - by user1468729
    public void routeMessage(byte[] data, int mode) { logger.debug(mode); logger.debug(Integer.toBinaryString(mode)); byte[] message = new byte[8]; ByteBuffer byteBuffer = ByteBuffer.allocate(4); ByteArrayOutputStream baoStream = new ByteArrayOutputStream(); DataOutputStream doStream = new DataOutputStream(baoStream); try { doStream.writeInt(mode); } catch (IOException e) { logger.debug("Error converting mode from integer to bytes.", e); return; } byte [] bytes = baoStream.toByteArray(); bytes[0] = (byte)((mode >>> 24) & 0x000000ff); bytes[1] = (byte)((mode >>> 16) & 0x000000ff); bytes[2] = (byte)((mode >>> 8) & 0x00000ff); bytes[3] = (byte)(mode & 0x000000ff); //bytes = byteBuffer.array(); for (byte b : bytes) { logger.debug(b); } for (int i = 0; i < 4; i++) { //byte tmp = (byte)(mode >> (32 - ((i + 1) * 8))); message[i] = bytes[i]; logger.debug("mode, " + i + ": " + Integer.toBinaryString(message[i])); message[i + 4] = data[i]; } broker.routeMessage(message); } I've tried different ways (as you can see from the commented code) to convert the mode to four bytes to send it via a socket to another application. It works well with integers up to 127 and then again with integers over 256. I believe it has something to do with Java types being signed but don't seem to get it to work. Here are some examples of what the program prints. 127 1111111 0 0 0 127 mode, 0: 0 mode, 1: 0 mode, 2: 0 mode, 3: 1111111 128 10000000 0 0 0 -128 mode, 0: 0 mode, 1: 0 mode, 2: 0 mode, 3: 11111111111111111111111110000000 211 11010011 0 0 0 -45 mode, 0: 0 mode, 1: 0 mode, 2: 0 mode, 3: 11111111111111111111111111010011 306 100110010 0 0 1 50 mode, 0: 0 mode, 1: 0 mode, 2: 1 mode, 3: 110010 How is it suddenly possible for a byte to store 32 bits? How could I fix this?

  • Android Thumbnail Loading Problem

    - by y ramesh rao
    I'm using a thumbnail loader in my project the one mentioned below. The problem is that the it loads all the thumbnails properly except the ones who's size is of about 40K. When our back end is giving that sort of thumbnails are not generated and sometimes this eventually leads to a Crash too. What m I supposed to do with this ? public class ThumbnailManager { private final Map<String, Bitmap> drawableMap; public static Context context; private Resources res; private int thumbnail_size; public ThumbnailManager() { drawableMap = new HashMap<String, Bitmap >(); res = new Resources(context.getAssets(), null, null); thumbnail_size = res.getInteger(R.ThumbnailManager.THUMBNAIL_SIZE); } public Bitmap fetchBitmap(String urlString) { if(drawableMap.containsKey(urlString)) { return (drawableMap.get(urlString)); } //Log.d(getClass().getSimpleName(), " Image URL :: "+ urlString); try { InputStream is = fetch(urlString); android.util.Log.v("ThumbnailManager", "ThumbnailManager " + urlString); drawableMap.put(urlString, BitmapFactory.decodeStream(is));//Bitmap.createScaledBitmap(BitmapFactory.decodeStream(is), thumbnail_size, thumbnail_size, false)); return drawableMap.get(urlString); } catch(Exception e) { android.util.Log.v("EXCEPTION", "EXCEPTION" + urlString); return null; } } public void fetchBitmapOnThread(final String urlString, final ImageView imageView) { if(drawableMap.containsKey(urlString)) { imageView.setImageBitmap(drawableMap.get(urlString)); return; } if(urlString.compareTo("AUDIO") == 0) { Bitmap audioThumb = BitmapFactory.decodeResource(context.getResources(), R.drawable.timeline_audio_thumb); drawableMap.put(urlString, Bitmap.createScaledBitmap(audioThumb, thumbnail_size, thumbnail_size, false)); imageView.setImageBitmap(drawableMap.get(urlString)); return; } final Handler handler = new Handler() { public void handleMessage(Message message) { imageView.setImageBitmap((Bitmap) message.obj); } }; Thread thread = new Thread() { public void run() { Bitmap urlBitmap = fetchBitmap(urlString); Message message = handler.obtainMessage(1, urlBitmap); handler.sendMessage(message); } }; thread.start(); } public InputStream fetch(String urlString) throws IOException, MalformedURLException { final URL url = new URL(urlString); final URLConnection conn = url.openConnection(); HttpURLConnection httpConn = (HttpURLConnection) conn; httpConn.setAllowUserInteraction(true); httpConn.setInstanceFollowRedirects(true); httpConn.setRequestMethod("GET"); httpConn.connect(); return(conn.getInputStream()); } }

  • Android , Read in binary data and write it to file

    - by Shpongle
    Hi all , Im trying to read in image file from a server , with the code below . It keeps going into the exception. I know the correct number of bytes are being sent as I print them out when received. Im sending the image file from python like so #open the image file and read it into an object imgfile = open (marked_image, 'rb') obj = imgfile.read() #get the no of bytes in the image and convert it to a string bytes = str(len(obj)) #send the number of bytes self.conn.send( bytes + '\n') if self.conn.sendall(obj) == None: imgfile.flush() imgfile.close() print 'Image Sent' else: print 'Error' Here is the android part , this is where I'm having the problem. Any suggestions on the best way to go about receiving the image and writing it to a file ? //read the number of bytes in the image String noOfBytes = in.readLine(); Toast.makeText(this, noOfBytes, 5).show(); byte bytes [] = new byte [Integer.parseInt(noOfBytes)]; //create a file to store the retrieved image File photo = new File(Environment.getExternalStorageDirectory(), "PostKey.jpg"); DataInputStream dis = new DataInputStream(link.getInputStream()); try{ os =new FileOutputStream(photo); byte buf[]=new byte[1024]; int len; while((len=dis.read(buf))>0) os.write(buf,0,len); Toast.makeText(this, "File recieved", 5).show(); os.close(); dis.close(); }catch(IOException e){ Toast.makeText(this, "An IO Error Occured", 5).show(); } EDIT: I still cant seem to get it working. I have been at it since and the result of all my efforts have either resulted in a file that is not the full size or else the app crashing. I know the file is not corrupt before sending server side. As far as I can tell its definitely sending too as the send all method in python sends all or throws an exception in the event of an error and so far it has never thrown an exception. So the client side is messed up . I have to send the file from the server so I cant use the suggestion suggested by Brian .

  • Update Statement Updates 0 Rows via the C# Winform Application?

    - by peace
    First of all, please help me out! I can not take this anymore. I could not find where the error is located. Here is my problem: I'm trying to update a row via c# winform application. The update query generated from the application is formatted correctly. I tested it in the sql server environment, it worked well. When i run it from the application i get 0 rows updated. Here is the snippet that generates the update statement using reflection - don't try to figure it out. Carry on reading after the code portion: public void Update(int cusID) { SqlCommand objSqlCommand = new SqlCommand(); Customer cust = new Customer(); string SQL = null; try { if ((cusID != 0)) { foreach (PropertyInfo PropertyItem in this.GetType().GetProperties()) { if (!(PropertyItem.Name.ToString() == cust.PKName)) { if (PropertyItem.Name.ToString() != "TableName") { if (SQL == null) { SQL = PropertyItem.Name.ToString() + " = @" + PropertyItem.Name.ToString(); } else { SQL = SQL + ", " + PropertyItem.Name.ToString() + " = @" + PropertyItem.Name.ToString(); } } else { break; } } } objSqlCommand.CommandText = "UPDATE " + this.TableName + " SET " + SQL + " WHERE " + cust.PKName + " = @cusID AND PhoneNumber = " + "'" + "@phNum" + "'"; foreach (PropertyInfo PropertyItem in this.GetType().GetProperties()) { if (!(PropertyItem.Name.ToString() == cust.PKName)) { if (PropertyItem.Name.ToString() != "TableName") { objSqlCommand.Parameters.AddWithValue("@" + PropertyItem.Name.ToString(), PropertyItem.GetValue(this, null)); } else { break; } } } objSqlCommand.Parameters.AddWithValue("@cusID", cusID); objSqlCommand.Parameters.AddWithValue("@phNum", this.PhoneNumber); DAL.ExecuteSQL(objSqlCommand); } else { //AppEventLog.AddWarning("Primary Key is not provided for Update.") } } catch (Exception ex) { //AppEventLog.AddError(ex.Message.ToString) } } This part below: objSqlCommand.CommandText = "UPDATE " + this.TableName + " SET " + SQL + " WHERE " + cust.PKName + " = @cusID AND PhoneNumber = " + "'" + "@phNum" + "'"; generates dml: UPDATE CustomerPhone SET PhoneTypeID = @PhoneTypeID, PhoneNumber = @PhoneNumber WHERE CustomerID = @cusID AND PhoneNumber = '@phNum' @PhoneTypeID and @PhoneNumber are gotten from two properties. We assigned the value to these properties in the presentation layer from the user input text box. The portion below where fetches the values: objSqlCommand.Parameters.AddWithValue("@" + PropertyItem.Name.ToString(), PropertyItem.GetValue(this, null)); The code below fills the values of WHERE: objSqlCommand.Parameters.AddWithValue("@cusID", cusID); objSqlCommand.Parameters.AddWithValue("@phNum", this.PhoneNumber); The final code should look as: UPDATE CustomerPhone SET PhoneTypeID = 7, PhoneNumber = 999444 WHERE CustomerID = 500 AND PhoneNumber = '911'; Phone type id is 7 - user value that is taken from text box Phone number is 999444 - user value that is taken from text box The above final update statement works on the sql environment, but when running via the application, the execute non query runs ok and gets 0 rows updated! I wonder why?

  • Do you use logical negation operator (!) in "if" statement or check on "== false"

    - by Taras Terebkov
    Hello everyone, I just want to conduct a little survey about code style developers prefer. For me there are two ways to write "if" in such languages as Java, C#, C++, etc. (1) Logical negation operator public void foo() { if (!SessionManager.getInstance().hasActiveSession()) { . . . . . } } (2) Check on "false" public void foo() { if (SessionManager.getInstance().hasActiveSession() == false) { . . . . . } } I always believe that first way is much worst then the second one. Cause usually you don't "read" the code, but "recognize" it in one brief look. And exclamation symbol slipped from your mind, just disturbing you somewhere on the bottom of your unconscious. And only during reading the "if" block below you understand, that the logic is opposite - no sessions in "if" On the other hand in the second way of writing, an eye immediately catches words "SessionManager", "hasActiveSession" and "false". Also for me, the situation with "true" is different. In code like class SessionManager { private bool hasSession; public void foo() { if (hasSession == true) { . . . . . } else { . . . . . } } } I find "true" superfluous. why we repeating the sentence two times? The following is shorter and quicker to catch. class SessionManager { private bool hasSession; public void foo() { if (hasSession) { . . . . . } else { . . . . . } } } What do YOU think, guys?

  • C# AES returns wrong Test Vectors

    - by ralu
    I need to implement some crypto protocol on C# and want to say that this is my first project in C#. After spending some time to get used on C# I found out that I am unable to get compliant AES vectors. using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Linq; using System.Text; using System.Security.Cryptography; using System.IO; namespace ConsoleApplication1 { class Program { public static void Main() { try { //test vectors from "ecb_vk.txt" byte[] key = { 0x80, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00 }; byte[] data = { 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00 }; byte[] encTest = { 0x0e, 0xdd, 0x33, 0xd3, 0xc6, 0x21, 0xe5, 0x46, 0x45, 0x5b, 0xd8, 0xba, 0x14, 0x18, 0xbe, 0xc8 }; AesManaged aesAlg = new AesManaged(); aesAlg.BlockSize = 128; aesAlg.Key = key; aesAlg.Mode = CipherMode.ECB; ICryptoTransform encryptor = aesAlg.CreateEncryptor(); MemoryStream msEncrypt = new MemoryStream(); CryptoStream csEncrypt = new CryptoStream(msEncrypt, encryptor, CryptoStreamMode.Write); StreamWriter swEncrypt = new StreamWriter(csEncrypt); swEncrypt.Write(data); swEncrypt.Close(); csEncrypt.Close(); msEncrypt.Close(); aesAlg.Clear(); byte[] encr; encr = msEncrypt.ToArray(); string datastr = BitConverter.ToString(data); string encrstr = BitConverter.ToString(encr); string encTestStr = BitConverter.ToString(encTest); Console.WriteLine("data: {0}", datastr); Console.WriteLine("encr: {0}", encrstr); Console.WriteLine("should: {0}", encTestStr); Console.ReadKey(); } catch (Exception e) { Console.WriteLine("Error: {0}", e.Message); } } } } Output is wrong: data: 00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00 encr: A0-3C-C2-22-A4-32-F7-C9-BA-36-AE-73-66-BD-BB-A3 should: 0E-DD-33-D3-C6-21-E5-46-45-5B-D8-BA-14-18-BE-C8 I am sure that there is correct AES implementation in C#, so I need some advice from C# wizard to help whit this.   • c# video equivalent to image.fromstream? Or changing the scope of the following script to allow vide

    - by Daniel
    The following is a part of an upload class in a c# script. I'm a php programmer, I've never messed with c# much but I'm trying to learn. This upload script will not handle anything except images, I need to adapt this class to handle other types of media also, or rewrite it all together. If I'm correct, I realize that using (Image image = Image.FromStream(file.InputStream)) basically says that the scope of the following is Image, only an image can be used or the object is discarded? And also that the variable image is being created from an Image from the file stream, which I understand to be, like... the $_FILES array in php? I dunno, I don't really care about making thumbnails right now either way, so if this can be taken out and still process the upload I'm totally cool with that, I just haven't had any luck getting this thing to take anything but images, even when commenting out that whole part of the class... protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { string dir = Path.Combine(Request.PhysicalApplicationPath, "files"); if (Request.Files.Count == 0) { // No files were posted Response.StatusCode = 500; } else { try { // Only one file at a time is posted HttpPostedFile file = Request.Files[0]; // Size limit 100MB if (file.ContentLength > 102400000) { // File too large Response.StatusCode = 500; } else { string id = Request.QueryString["userId"]; string[] folders = userDir(id); foreach (string folder in folders) { dir = Path.Combine(dir, folder); if (!Directory.Exists(dir)) Directory.CreateDirectory(dir); } string path = Path.Combine(dir, String.Concat(Request.QueryString["batchId"], "_", file.FileName)); file.SaveAs(path); // Create thumbnail int dot = path.LastIndexOf('.'); string thumbpath = String.Concat(path.Substring(0, dot), "_thumb", path.Substring(dot)); using (Image image = Image.FromStream(file.InputStream)) { // Find the ratio that will create maximum height or width of 100px. double ratio = Math.Max(image.Width / 100.0, image.Height / 100.0); using (Image thumb = new Bitmap(image, new Size((int)Math.Round(image.Width / ratio), (int)Math.Round(image.Height / ratio)))) { using (Graphics graphic = Graphics.FromImage(thumb)) { // Make sure thumbnail is not crappy graphic.SmoothingMode = SmoothingMode.HighQuality; graphic.InterpolationMode = InterpolationMode.High; graphic.CompositingQuality = CompositingQuality.HighQuality; // JPEG ImageCodecInfo codec = ImageCodecInfo.GetImageEncoders()[1]; // 90% quality EncoderParameters encode = new EncoderParameters(1); encode.Param[0] = new EncoderParameter(Encoder.Quality, 90L); // Resize graphic.DrawImage(image, new Rectangle(0, 0, thumb.Width, thumb.Height)); // Save thumb.Save(thumbpath, codec, encode); } } } // Success Response.StatusCode = 200; } } catch { // Something went wrong Response.StatusCode = 500; } } }

  • How can I pipe input to a Java app with Perl?

    - by user319479
    I need to write a Perl script that pipes input into a Java program. This is related to this, but that didn't help me. My issue is that the Java app doesn't get the print statements until I close the handle. What I found online was that $| needs to be set to something greater than 0, in which case newline characters will flush the buffer. This still doesn't work. This is the script: #! /usr/bin/perl -w use strict; use File::Basename; $|=1; open(TP, "| java -jar test.jar") or die "fail"; sleep(2); print TP "this is test 1\n"; print TP "this is test 2\n"; print "tests printed, waiting 5s\n"; sleep(5); print "wait over. closing handle...\n"; close TP; print "closed.\n"; print "sleeping for 5s...\n"; sleep(5); print "script finished!\n"; exit And here is a sample Java app: import java.util.Scanner; public class test{ public static void main( String[] args ){ Scanner sc = new Scanner( System.in ); int crashcount = 0; while( true ){ try{ String input = sc.nextLine(); System.out.println( ":: INPUT: " + input ); if( "bananas".equals(input) ){ break; } } catch( Exception e ){ System.out.println( ":: EXCEPTION: " + e.toString() ); crashcount++; if( crashcount == 5 ){ System.out.println( ":: Looks like stdin is broke" ); break; } } } System.out.println( ":: IT'S OVER!" ); return; } } The Java app should respond to receiving the test prints immediately, but it doesn't until the close statement in the Perl script. What am I doing wrong? Note: the fix can only be in the Perl script. The Java app can't be changed. Also, File::Basename is there because I'm using it in the real script.

For our programming assignment, we will be given a .txt file of students like so: 3 345 Lisa Miller 890238 Y 2 <-(Number of classes) Mathematics MTH345 4 A Physics PHY357 3 B Bill Wilton 798324 N 2 English ENG378 3 B Philosophy PHL534 3 A Dandy Goat 746333 Y 1 History HIS101 3 A" The teacher will give us a .txt file on the day of turning it in with a list of unknown students. My problem is: I have a specific class for turning the data from the file into variables to be used for a different class in printing it to the screen. However, I do not know of a good way to get the variables from the input file for the course numbers, since that number is not predetermined. The only way I can think of to iterate over that unknown amount is using a loop, but that would just overwrite my variables every time. Also, the teacher has requested that we not use any JCL classes (I don't really know what this means.) Sorry if I have done a poor job of explaining this, but I can't think of a better way to conceptualize it. Let me know if I can clarify. Edit: public static void analyzeData() { Scanner inputStream = null; try { inputStream = new Scanner(new FileInputStream("Programming Assignment 1 Data.txt")); } catch (FileNotFoundException e) { System.out.println("File Programming Assignment 1 Data.txt could not be found or opened."); System.exit(0); } int numberOfStudents = inputStream.nextInt(); int tuitionPerHour = inputStream.nextInt(); String firstName = inputStream.next(); String lastname = inputStream.next(); String isTuitionPaid = inputStream.next(); int numberOfCourses = inputStream.nextInt(); String courseName = inputStream.next(); String courseNumber = inputStream.next(); int creditHours = inputStream.nextInt(); String grade = inputStream.next(); To show the methods I am using now, I am just using a Scanner to read from the file and for Scanner inputStream, I am using nextInt() or next() to get variables from the file. Obviously this will not work when I do not know exactly how many classes each student will have.

  • Facebook PHP SDK - can't pass parameters to getLoginUrl()

    - by Elliott
    I'm using the Facebook PHP SDK for simple login with extended permissions. I'm using the example code from the SDK docs, but I found that I need to manually clear out the FB session data otherwise if($user) comes back as true even though the user is logged out. I have the app going to logout.php upon logout; this page clears out the session vars and redirects to the app home page. Once I clear out the FB session data, log in/log out works fine. However, it stops working if I pass $params to the getLoginUrl function. Once I pass any params (I've tried several), the login breaks, either by not bringing up the second extended permissions screen or by refreshing the app page w/out login success. index page and logout page code follow. index.php <?php require 'services/facebook-php-sdk/src/facebook.php'; $facebook = new Facebook(array( 'appId' => '[APP_ID]', 'secret' => '[SECRET]', )); // Get User ID $user = $facebook->getUser(); if($user) { try { // Proceed knowing you have a logged in user who's authenticated. $user_profile = $facebook->api('/me'); $params = array('next' => 'http://'.$_SERVER["SERVER_NAME"].'/logout.php'); $logout_url = $facebook->getLogoutUrl($params); } catch (FacebookApiException $e) { error_log($e); $user = null; } } else { $login_url = $facebook->getLoginUrl($params = array('redirect_uri' => 'http://'.$_SERVER["SERVER_NAME"].'/', 'scope' => 'read_stream')); } ?> <!DOCTYPE html> <html lang="en"> <head> </head> <body> <?php if($user) { ?> <p><a href="<?php echo($logout_url); ?>">Log out</a></p> <?php } else { ?> <p><a href="<?php echo($login_url); ?>">Log in</a></p> <?php } ?> </body> </html> logout.php <?php session_start(); $fb_app_id = '[APP_ID]'; unset($_SESSION['fb_'.$fb_app_id.'_code']); unset($_SESSION['fb_'.$fb_app_id.'_access_token']); unset($_SESSION['fb_'.$fb_app_id.'_user_id']); unset($_SESSION['fb_'.$fb_app_id.'_state']); header('Location: http://'.$_SERVER["SERVER_NAME"].'/'); ?>

  • Weird Datagrid / paint behaviour

    - by Shane.C
    The scenario: A method sends out a broadcast packet, and returned packets that are validated are deemed okay to be added as a row in my datagrid (The returned packets are from devices i want to add into my program). So for each packet returned, containing information about a device, i create a new row. This is done by first sending packets out, creating rows and adding them to a list of rows that are to be added, and then after 5 seconds (In which case all packets would have returned by then) i add the rows. Here's a few snippets of code. Here for each returned packet, i create a row and add it to a list; DataRow row = DGSource.NewRow(); row["Name"] = deviceName; row["Model"] = deviceModel; row["Location"] = deviceLocation; row["IP"] = finishedIP; row["MAC"] = finishedMac; row["Subnet"] = finishedSubnet; row["Gateway"] = finishedGateway; rowsToAdd.Add(row); Then when the timer elapses; void timerToAddRows_Elapsed(object sender, System.Timers.ElapsedEventArgs e) { timerToAddRows.Enabled = false; try { int count = 0; foreach (DataRow rowToAdd in rowsToAdd) { DGSource.Rows.Add(rowToAdd); count++; } rowsToAdd.Clear(); DGAutoDevices.InvokeEx(f => DGAutoDevices.Refresh()); lblNumberFound.InvokeEx(f => lblNumberFound.Text = count + " new devices found."); } catch { } } So at this point, each row has been added, and i call the re paint, by doing refresh. (Note: i've also tried refreshing the form itself, no avail). However, when the datagrid shows the rows, the scroll bar / datagrid seems to have weird behavour..for example i can't highlight anything with clicks (It's set to full row selection), and the scroll bar looks like so; Calling refresh doesn't work, although if i resize the window even 1 pixel, or minimize and maximise, the problem is solved. Other things to note : The method that get's the packets and adds the rows to the list, and then from the list to the datagrid runs in it's own thread. Any ideas as to something i might be missing here?

  • Creating and Saving an Excel File

    - by Kris
    I have the following code that creates a new Excel file in my C# code behind. When I attempt to save the file I would like the user to select the location of the save. In Method #1, I can save the file my using the workbook SaveCopyAs without prompting the user for a location. This saves one file to the C:\Temp directory. Method #2 will save the file in my Users\Documents folder, then prompt the user to select the location and save a second copy. How can I eliminate the first copy from saving in the Users\Documents folder? Excel.Application oXL; Excel._Workbook oWB; Excel._Worksheet oSheet; Excel.Range oRng; try { //Start Excel and get Application object. oXL = new Excel.Application(); oXL.Visible = false; //Get a new workbook. oWB = (Excel._Workbook)(oXL.Workbooks.Add(Missing.Value)); oSheet = (Excel._Worksheet)oWB.ActiveSheet; // ***** oSheet.Cells[2, 6] = "Ship To:"; oSheet.get_Range("F2", "F2").Font.Bold = true; oSheet.Cells[2, 7] = sShipToName; oSheet.Cells[3, 7] = sAddress; oSheet.Cells[4, 7] = sCityStateZip; oSheet.Cells[5, 7] = sContactName; oSheet.Cells[6, 7] = sContactPhone; oSheet.Cells[9, 1] = "Shipment No:"; oSheet.get_Range("A9", "A9").Font.Bold = true; oSheet.Cells[9, 2] = sJobNumber; oSheet.Cells[9, 6] = "Courier:"; oSheet.get_Range("F9", "F9").Font.Bold = true; oSheet.Cells[9, 7] = sCarrierName; oSheet.Cells[11, 1] = "Requested Delivery Date:"; oSheet.get_Range("A11", "A11").Font.Bold = true; oSheet.Cells[11, 2] = sRequestDeliveryDate; oSheet.Cells[11, 6] = "Courier Acct No:"; oSheet.get_Range("F11", "F11").Font.Bold = true; oSheet.Cells[11, 7] = sCarrierAcctNum; // ***** Method #1 //oWB.SaveCopyAs(@"C:\Temp\" + sJobNumber +".xls"); Method #2 oXL.SaveWorkspace(sJobNumber + ".xls"); } catch (Exception theException) { String errorMessage; errorMessage = "Error: "; errorMessage = String.Concat(errorMessage, theException.Message); errorMessage = String.Concat(errorMessage, " Line: "); errorMessage = String.Concat(errorMessage, theException.Source); }

  • Error:A generic error occurred in GDI+

    - by sanfra1983
    Hi, I created a web project on the server, and when I upload an image shows me the error Error: A generic error occurred in GDI +. I have read many links on the net that talk about this issue, and although I made the changes, nothing went wrong. I was thinking if the case is not an issue of permissions to folders. In fact I have two folders one inside the other. This is the code to resize the image: public Bitmaps ResizeImage (Stream stream, int? width, int? height) ( System.Drawing.Bitmap bmpOut = null; const int defaultWidth = 800; const int defaultHeight = 600; int width = lnWidth == null? defaultWidth: (int) width; int height = lnHeight == null? defaultHeight: (int) height; try ( LoBMP bitmap = new Bitmap (stream); ImageFormat loFormat = loBMP.RawFormat; decimal lnRatio; lnNewWidth int = 0; lnNewHeight int = 0; if (loBMP.Width <& & lnWidth loBMP.Height <lnHeight) ( loBMP return; ) if (loBMP.Width> loBMP.Height) ( lnRatio = (decimal) lnWidth / loBMP.Width; lnNewWidth = lnWidth; decimal = lnTemp loBMP.Height lnRatio *; lnNewHeight = (int) lnTemp; ) else ( lnRatio = (decimal) lnHeight / loBMP.Height; lnNewHeight = lnHeight; decimal = lnTemp loBMP.Width lnRatio *; lnNewWidth = (int) lnTemp; ) bmpOut = new Bitmap (lnNewWidth, lnNewHeight); Graphics g = Graphics.FromImage (bmpOut); g.InterpolationMode = System.Drawing.Drawing2D.InterpolationMode.HighQualityBicubic; g.FillRectangle (Brushes.White, 0, 0, lnNewWidth, lnNewHeight); g.DrawImage (loBMP, 0, 0, lnNewWidth, lnNewHeight); loBMP.Dispose (); ) catch ( return null; ) bmpOut return; ) and this is the code that I insert in the codebehind: string filepath = AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory + img_veterinario / "; string = filepathM AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory + img_veterinario / img_veterinarioM; Reseize Reseize R = new (); Bitmap = photosFileOriginal r.ResizeImage (fucasiclinici.PostedFile.InputStream, 400, 400); Bitmap = photosFileMiniatura r.ResizeImage (fucasiclinici.PostedFile.InputStream, 72, 72); String filename = Path.GetFileName (fucasiclinici.PostedFile.FileName); photosFileOriginal.Save (Path.Combine (filepath, filename)); photosFileMiniatura.Save (Path.Combine (filepathM, filename)); Can you help me? • How can I store large amount of data from a database to XML (speed problem, part three)?

    - by Andrija
    After getting some responses, the current situation is that I'm using this tip: http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/xml/library/x-tipbigdoc5.html (Listing 1. Turning ResultSets into XML), and XMLWriter for Java from http://www.megginson.com/downloads/ . Basically, it reads date from the database and writes them to a file as characters, using column names to create opening and closing tags. While doing so, I need to make two changes to the input stream, namely to the dates and numbers. // Iterate over the set while (rs.next()) { w.startElement("row"); for (int i = 0; i < count; i++) { Object ob = rs.getObject(i + 1); if (rs.wasNull()) { ob = null; } String colName = meta.getColumnLabel(i + 1); if (ob != null ) { if (ob instanceof Timestamp) { w.dataElement(colName, Util.formatDate((Timestamp)ob, dateFormat)); } else if (ob instanceof BigDecimal){ w.dataElement(colName, Util.transformToHTML(new Integer(((BigDecimal)ob).intValue()))); } else { w.dataElement(colName, ob.toString()); } } else { w.emptyElement(colName); } } w.endElement("row"); } The SQL that gets the results has the to_number command (e.g. to_number(sif.ID) ID ) and the to_date command (e.g. TO_DATE (sif.datum_do, 'DD.MM.RRRR') datum_do). The problems are that the returning date is a timestamp, meaning I don't get 14.02.2010 but rather 14.02.2010 00:00:000 so I have to format it to the dd.mm.yyyy format. The second problem are the numbers; for some reason, they are in database as varchar2 and can have leading zeroes that need to be stripped; I'm guessing I could do that in my SQL with the trim function so the Util.transformToHTML is unnecessary (for clarification, here's the method): public static String transformToHTML(Integer number) { String result = ""; try { result = number.toString(); } catch (Exception e) {} return result; } What I'd like to know is a) Can I get the date in the format I want and skip additional processing thus shortening the processing time? b) Is there a better way to do this? We're talking about XML files that are in the 50 MB - 250 MB filesize category.

  • making a password-only auth with bcrypt and mongoose

    - by user3081123
    I want to create service that let you login only with password. You type a password and if this password exists - you are logged in and if it's not - username is generated and password is encrypted. I'm having some misunderstandings and hope someone would help me to show where I'm mistaken. I guess, it would look somewhat like this in agularjs First we receive a password in login controller. $scope.signup = function() { var user = { password: $scope.password, }; $http.post('/auth/signup', user); }; Send it via http.post and get in in our node server file. We are provided with a compare password bcrypt function userSchema.methods.comparePassword = function(candidatePassword, cb) { bcrypt.compare(candidatePassword, this.password, function(err, isMatch) { if (err) return cb(err); cb(null, isMatch); }); }; So right now we are creating function to catch our http request app.post('/auth/signup', function(req, res, next) { Inside we use a compair password function to realize if such password exists or not yet. So we have to encrypt a password with bcrypt to make a comparison First we hash it same way as in .pre var encPass; bcrypt.genSalt(10, function(err, salt) { if (err) return next(err); bcrypt.hash(req.body.password, salt, function(err, hash) { if (err) return next(err); encPass=hash; )}; )}; We have encrypted password stored in encPass so now we follow to finding a user in database with this password User.findOne({ password: encPass }, function(err, user) { if (user) { //user exists, it means we should pass an ID of this user to a controller to display it in a view. I don't know how. res.send({user.name}) //like this? How should controller receive this? With $http.post? } else { and now if user doesn't exist - we should create it with user ID generated by my function var nUser = new User({ name: generId(), password: req.body.password }); nUser.save(function(err) { if (err) return next(err); )}; )}; )}; Am I doing anything right? I'm pretty new to js and angular. If so - how do I throw a username back at controller? If someone is interested - this service exists for 100+ symbol passphrases so possibility of entering same passphrase as someone else is miserable. And yeah, If someone logged in under 123 password - the other guy will log in as same user if he entered 123 password, but hey, you are warned to make a big passphrase. So I'm confident about the idea and I only need a help with understanding and realization.

  • How can I change the TreeView Icon into a folder icon?

    - by KDP
    I'm trying to change the icon of my TreeView in a folder icon. Also when it collapses it needs to have an opened folder icon. My treeview has databound items in it and the code is: <TreeView x:Name="TreeViewCategories" Grid.Row="0" Grid.Column="1" Height="610" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Margin="29,111,0,0" VerticalAlignment="Top" Width="315" BorderThickness="0" Background="Transparent" > <TreeView.ItemTemplate> <HierarchicalDataTemplate ItemsSource="{Binding Items}"> <TextBlock FontSize="20" Text="{Binding Name}" PreviewMouseDown="TextBlock_PreviewMouseDown"/> </HierarchicalDataTemplate> </TreeView.ItemTemplate> </TreeView> Also this is how I fill the treeview with items from XML (It's a snipped out of alot of code: private void LoadHospitalXML() { try { FileStream fs = new FileStream("ConfigOrgHospital.xml", FileMode.Open, FileAccess.Read); var xml = XmlReader.Create(fs); rootElement = ConvertHospitalData(xml); this.TreeViewCategories.ItemsSource = null; List<HospitalWrapper> li = new List<HospitalWrapper>(); var hosp = rootElement.Items.FirstOrDefault(); if (hosp != null) { foreach (var i in hosp.Hospital) { li.AddIfNotNull(CreateHospList(i)); } } this.TreeViewCategories.ItemsSource = li; } catch (Exception e) { MessageBox.Show(e.Message); } } private HospitalWrapper CreateHospList(object obj) { var newItem = new HospitalWrapper(); newItem.Context = obj; //Hospital Names// if (obj is HospitalDataHospitalsHospital) { var hosp = (HospitalDataHospitalsHospital)obj; //newItem.Title = "Hospitals"; newItem.Name = hosp.DefaultName; var tmp = new HospitalWrapper(); tmp.Name = "Sites"; tmp.IsTitle = true; if (hosp.Sites != null) foreach (var i in hosp.Sites) { tmp.Items.AddIfNotNull(CreateHospList(i)); } newItem.Items.Add(tmp); tmp = new HospitalWrapper(); tmp.Name = "Specialties"; tmp.IsTitle = true; if (hosp.Deps != null) foreach (var j in hosp.Deps) { tmp.Items.AddIfNotNull(CreateHospList(j)); } newItem.Items.Add(tmp); } }

  • Swing: How do I run a job from AWT thread, but after a window was layed out?

    - by java.is.for.desktop
    My complete GUI runs inside the AWT thread, because I start the main window using SwingUtilities.invokeAndWait(...). Now I have a JDialog which has just to display a JLabel, which indicates that a certain job is in progress, and close that dialog after the job was finished. The problem is: the label is not displayed. That job seems to be started before JDialog was fully layed-out. When I just let the dialog open without waiting for a job and closing, the label is displayed. The last thing the dialog does in its ctor is setVisible(true). Things such as revalidate(), repaint(), ... don't help either. Even when I start a thread for the monitored job, and wait for it using someThread.join() it doesn't help, because the current thread (which is the AWT thread) is blocked by join, I guess. Replacing JDialog with JFrame doesn't help either. So, is the concept wrong in general? Or can I manage it to do certain job after it is ensured that a JDialog (or JFrame) is fully layed-out? Simplified algorithm of what I'm trying to achieve: Create a subclass of JDialog Ensure that it and its contents are fully layed-out Start a process and wait for it to finish (threaded or not, doesn't matter) Close the dialog I managed to write a reproducible test case: EDIT Problem from an answer is now addressed: This use case does display the label, but it fails to close after the "simulated process", because of dialog's modality. import java.awt.*; import javax.swing.*; public class _DialogTest2 { public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception { SwingUtilities.invokeAndWait(new Runnable() { final JLabel jLabel = new JLabel("Please wait..."); @Override public void run() { JFrame myFrame = new JFrame("Main frame"); myFrame.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE); myFrame.setSize(750, 500); myFrame.setLocationRelativeTo(null); myFrame.setVisible(true); JDialog d = new JDialog(myFrame, "I'm waiting"); d.setModalityType(Dialog.ModalityType.APPLICATION_MODAL); d.add(jLabel); d.setSize(300, 200); d.setLocationRelativeTo(null); d.setVisible(true); SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable() { @Override public void run() { try { Thread.sleep(3000); // simulate process jLabel.setText("Done"); } catch (InterruptedException ex) { } } }); d.setVisible(false); d.dispose(); myFrame.setVisible(false); myFrame.dispose(); } }); } }

  • Tokenizing a string with variable whitespace

    - by Ron Holcomb
    I've read through a few threads detailing how to tokenize strings, but I'm apparently too thick to adapt their suggestions and solutions into my program. What I'm attempting to do is tokenize each line from a large (5k+) line file into two strings. Here's a sample of the lines: 0 -0.11639404 9.0702948e-05 0.00012207031 0.0001814059 0.051849365 0.00027210884 0.062103271 0.00036281179 0.034423828 0.00045351474 0.035125732 The difference I'm finding between my lines and the other sample input from other threads is that I have a variable amount of whitespace between the parts that I want to tokenize. Anyways, here's my attempt at tokenizing: #include <iostream> #include <iomanip> #include <fstream> #include <string> using namespace std; int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { ifstream input; ofstream output; string temp2; string temp3; input.open(argv[1]); output.open(argv[2]); if (input.is_open()) { while (!input.eof()) { getline(input, temp2, ' '); while (!isspace(temp2[0])) getline(input, temp2, ' '); getline (input, temp3, '\n'); } input.close(); cout << temp2 << endl; cout << temp3 << endl; return 0; } I've clipped it some, since the troublesome bits are here. The issue that I'm having is that temp2 never seems to catch a value. Ideally, it should get populated with the first column of numbers, but it doesn't. Instead, it is blank, and temp3 is populated with the entire line. Unfortunately, in my course we haven't learned about vectors, so I'm not quite sure how to implement them in the other solutions for this I've seen, and I'd like to not just copy-paste code for assignments to get things work without actually understanding it. So, what's the extremely obvious/already been answered/simple solution I'm missing? I'd like to stick to standard libraries that g++ uses if at all possible.

  • DBConcurrencyException happening on second delete

    - by Malfist
    My code keeps throwing a DBConcurrencyException ("Concurrency violation: the DeleteCommand affected 0 of the expected 1 records.) when I make a second update to the data table. The problem actually happens on a table that is linked to a parent table. The two tables, CashReceipts and CashReceiptsApplyTo are displayed on the same winform, and when I delete two cash receipts the update on cash receipt apply to's table fails with the dbconcurrencyexception (the table is updated everytime the binding source [linked to a binding navigator] changes position). Here is my code: protected override void saveToDatabase() { tblCashReceiptsBindingSource.EndEdit(); tblCashReceiptsTableAdapter.Update(rentalEaseDataSet.tblCashReceipts); //update the datatable foreach (DataGridViewRow viewRow in viewApplications.Rows) { if (viewRow.Cells[colAppID.Index].Value == null || viewRow.Cells[colApplyTo.Index].Value == null) { continue; } else if ((int)viewRow.Cells[colAppID.Index].Value == -1) { insertNewRow(viewRow); } else { updateRow(viewRow); } } try { tblCashReceiptsApplyToTableAdapter.Update(rentalEaseDataSet.tblCashReceiptsApplyTo); //tblCashReceiptsApplyToTableAdapter.Fill(rentalEaseDataSet.tblCashReceiptsApplyTo); ); } catch (Exception e) { Bitmap bitmap = new Bitmap(this.Width, this.Height); this.DrawToBitmap(bitmap, new Rectangle(0, 0, this.Width, this.Height)); saveScreenshot(this.GetType().FullName, e.Message, bitmap); MessageBox.Show("There was an error saving your changes. This means that you should close the form, and re-enter the last Receipt you entered.\n\nPlease report this."); } } The insertNewRow, and updateRow are simple: private void updateRow(DataGridViewRow viewRow) { //be forgiving if ((int)viewRow.Cells[colAppID.Index].Value == -1) { insertNewRow(viewRow); return; } //find row in table, if it's not there, crash and burn RentalEaseDataSet.tblCashReceiptsApplyToRow updateRow = rentalEaseDataSet.tblCashReceiptsApplyTo.Select("ID = " + viewRow.Cells[colAppID.Index].Value.ToString())[0] as RentalEaseDataSet.tblCashReceiptsApplyToRow; updateRow.BeginEdit(); updateRow.CashReceiptsID = (int)viewRow.Cells[colCashReceipt.Index].Value; updateRow.ApplyTo = (int)viewRow.Cells[colApplyTo.Index].Value; updateRow.Paid = CurrencyToDecimal(viewRow.Cells[colPaid.Index].Value); if (viewRow.Cells[colMemo.Index].Value != null) { updateRow.Memo = viewRow.Cells[colMemo.Index].Value.ToString(); } else { updateRow.SetMemoNull(); } updateRow.EndEdit(); } private void insertNewRow(DataGridViewRow viewRow) { //be forgiving if ((int)viewRow.Cells[colAppID.Index].Value != -1) { updateRow(viewRow); return; } RentalEaseDataSet.tblCashReceiptsApplyToRow newRow = rentalEaseDataSet.tblCashReceiptsApplyTo.NewRow() as RentalEaseDataSet.tblCashReceiptsApplyToRow; newRow.CashReceiptsID = (int) viewRow.Cells[colCashReceipt.Index].Value; newRow.ApplyTo = (int) viewRow.Cells[colApplyTo.Index].Value; newRow.Paid = CurrencyToDecimal(viewRow.Cells[colPaid.Index].Value); if (viewRow.Cells[colMemo.Index].Value != null) { newRow.Memo = viewRow.Cells[colMemo.Index].Value.ToString(); } rentalEaseDataSet.tblCashReceiptsApplyTo.Rows.Add(newRow); //update the ID viewRow.Cells[colAppID.Index].Value = newRow.ID; } Any idea why it would throw that error on the second delete?

  • EBCDIC to ASCII conversion. Out of bound error. In C#.

    - by mekrizzy
    I tried creating a EBCDIC to ASCII convector in C# using this general conversion order(given below). Basically the program converted from ASCII to the equivalent integer and from there into EDCDIC using the order below. Now when I try compiling this in C# and try giving a EBCDIC string(got this from another file from another computer) it is showing 'Out of Bound' exception for some of the EBCDIC character. Why is this like this?? Is it about formating?? or C# ?? or windows? Extra: I tried just printing out all the ASCII and EBCDIC characters using a loop from 0..255 numbers but still its not showing many of the EBCDIC characters.
