I want to be able to run my files inside browsers pages (so to see HTML some Flash content and some content which is rant by my plugin) using something like HTML tag or some JavaScript.     Hey guys, quick question for any experts out there. I am allowing users to upload and post mp3s so other users can listen to/stream. I was wondering if anyone had any tips for reducing bandwidth, or any tips or methods for streaming mp3s. I currently just reference the location of the file with my flash mp3 player after the file has been uploaded. I would ask about images as well, but I am pretty sure they can be compressed using gzip or mod_deflate

  • How can you use jQuery to make sIFR-replaced elements fade in?

    This is what I currently have: // #content is visibility=hidden sIFR.replace(mix_bold, { selector: '#content p', onReplacement: function(fi) { $('#content').fadeIn("slow"); } }); The fade in happens, but for a split second the replaced flash movie appears before being hidden. Has anyone gotten this to work? I am using jQuery 1.2.6 and sIFR 3 r436. Tested in Safari 4 and FF 3. Thanks!

I'm correct in assuming this is not possible, right? Please confirm/deny so we can hopefully move on from this because he seems to think this is possible. I'm using some plugins such as an external simpletooltips plugin and the drupal plugin jQuery Media (to load flash video player for some video file-fields). All this stuff stop to work for the content of the lightbox, I guess because the content is not parsed... how can I solve this ? Should I trigger the plugins again ? Thanks

    I'm looking for a library (or plugin) that help me create a slideshow where (besides the simple ordering of images) I'm able to define the beginning and ending positions (either X/Y, or Zooms) for a given image and the plugin animates the intervening steps between them. Flash has a number of tools/libs like this, i'm sure jQuery has seen similar. Ideally something that offers a range of easing effects as well. I understand these elements are native to jQuery...i'm looking for a time-tested wrapper. thx

    Hi, I have an SQL table like this : sales(product,timestamp) I want to display a chart using Open Flash Chart but i don't know how to get the total sales per hour within the last 12 hours. ( the timestamp column is the sale date ) By example i will end up with an array like this : array(12,5,8,6,10,35,7,23,4,5,2,16) every number is the total sales in each hour.     The docs for flash.utils.setTimeout() state: Instead of using this method, consider creating a Timer object, with the specified interval, using 1 as the repeatCount parameter (which sets the timer to run only once). Does anyone know if there is a (significant) advantage in doing so? Using setTimeout is a lot easier when you only need to delay 1 call.

    I need to implement searching for SD-cards in my program. Currently I'm using search for all removable devices like: searcher = New Management.ManagementObjectSearcher("\\localhost\root\cimv2", "SELECT DeviceId FROM Win32_LogicalDisk WHERE DriveType=2 AND Size>0"); But it find USB flash drives also. Is there a proper way to find SD-cards only? What I need is in general only drive letter for available SD-cards (like "F:" or so).

    We have Youtube videos on a site and want to detect if it is likely that they will not be able to view them due to (mostly likely) company policy or otherwise. We have two sites: 1) Flex / Flash 2) HTML I think with Flex I can attempt to download http://youtube.com/crossdomain.xml and if it is valid XML assume the site is available But with HTML I dont know how to do it. I cant even think of a 'nice hack'
