  • Absolute URL Path for PHP Website

    Hi friends, I am working on a website in a CMS site. I have provided a link in my footer file e.g blogs.php. This page is at the root like "http://www.example.com/new_cms/blogs.php" When I moves to other files link like "http://www.example.com/new_cms/forums" the footer link is changed to "http://www.example.com/new_cms/forums/blogs.php" but the blogs.php page resides at path "http://www.example.com/new_cms/" . I tried different $_SERVER[] variables but got no luck to get the above path "http://www.example.com/new_cms/" means the server name with the directory where the project is currently running from. Any one have idea how to get it done will be a great help. Thanks

  • Having trouble with php and ajax search function

    I am still quite new to php/ajax/mysql. In anycase, I'm creating a search function which is returning properly the data I'm looking for. In brief, I have a mysql database set up. A php website that has a search function. I'm now trying to add a link to a mysql database search rather than just showing the results. In my search.php, the echo line is working fine but the $string .= is not returning anything. I'm just trying to get the same as the echo but with the link to the mysql php record.   • Client-side user custom CSS single file for overriding multiple domains

    This is for using in Safari, though it could probably be used on Firefox as well. In Chrome you have to add a plugin anyway (which generally allow for custom CSS per domain), and Opera already allows this to be done without needing any CSS. But while it's for customizing on the client-side, it's also a pure CSS question. So I'm using no plugins here. So, again, I got a custom CSS code (easily) working for all domains. Now I want to get specify CSS code for each domain. All with just 1 CSS file that's being loaded by Safari. Over the web and googling, I've found two ways to supposedly do this, but none actually worked. They're both documented on userstyles.com: @-moz-document domain("your-domain.com") { }. This would be perfect, since I can have several tags like that and just choose which style will be loaded for which domain. It just doesn't work. @namespace is quite confusing and I've tried every variation I could think of. None worked.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem or should i switch to Apache?

But none of the statements like "Upload is successful" or "if stmt failed so error" are being echoed as well. However the statement "count is correct" is being displayed, and this shows the $u got incremented somehow even though the echo statements didnt work! Can someone please point out the error I am doing here? I thought its simply a matter of 'if/else' statements but it seems more than that to me. Please help me out if you have any clue. Thanks

  • Google Chrome on Linux not using ALSA for sound

    On my laptop, I've got an .asoundrc file that outputs sound to my USB headset. This works fine for SMplayer and Firefox. However, Google Chrome (at least, Flash-based and HTML5-based videos and HTML5-based audio in Chrome) plays through the laptop speakers instead. I've tried running Chrome from a command-line, hoping there would be some helpful output, but no such luck. I've tried looking through Google for whether Chrome even uses ALSA, or if it uses something else, but I have been unsuccessful in this. This question seems to be the same issue, but no suggestion was made. Anyone have any ideas? I'm running Gentoo with a 3.10.17 kernel, 1.0.27 ALSA utils, 2.6.5 FVWM, and 36.0.1985.143 Chrome. If you need more info, please let me know. EDIT: I've configured the USB headset as the default ALSA device. Volume levels for both headset and onboard are set and un-muted using alsamixer.     Hello guys i am newbie to this stuff so i'll try to explain my problem.I am building application that retrieve data after login to php script that looks like this: https://zamger.etf.unsa.ba/getrssid.php (see the page source for php scirpt definition) and definition(source) here: Korisnicko ime (UID): Šifra: After i login it shows me data that i must collect like this: RSSID: 1321B312 (this is only data that it shows and nothing else) I must do this with httpwebrequest but don't know how i tried to do it with POST(data) but it always give me the defnition of php script as response.But i need response to be like "RSSID: 1321B312" not as script definition mentioned above...please heeelp ASAP....

  • Debugging PHP in Aptana 2.0

    I'm a real newbie when it comes to PHP debugging so forgive my stupidity. I have a simple html form that submits to a PHP script and I want to debug that script and see what's being sent from the form. My Aptana has two two PHP interpreters installed; Zend Debugger on port 10001 and XDebug on 9000 I have the Firefox Aptana Addon installed I have my HTML page on the following url, running locally; http://3i/latest.html In the IDE I open the PHP script and add some breakpoints, I then open the latest.html and I click on the debug button. It launches the HTML page in a local webserver running at; http://127.0.0.1:8000/3i/latest.html I then fill out the form and submit at which point the debugger tells me the JS Debugger has terminated but it doesn't stop at my break points. I've had a good read around and I can't find anything which helps me, which makes me think it's something pretty easy and I'm being a bit dumb.

    Hi guys, I am parsing an XML file with PHP and inserting the rows in a MYSQL database. I am using PHP simplexml_load_files to load the XML and a foreach to loop through the array and insert the rows into my database. It works perfectly fine with small files i am testing, but it comes to reality I need to parse a large 500mb XML file and nothing happens. I was wondering what was the right Php.ini config for this case ? I have a VPS Linux Cent OS, with 256 mb of dedicated Memory and MYSQL 5.0.5. I have also set php memory_limit = 256M (maximum of my server) Any suggestions, similar experiences will be greatly appreciated Thanks

  • Disable globbing in PHP exec()

    I have a PHP script which calls another script in order to add IP addresses to a whitelist. I sometimes want to whitelist all addresses, in which case I have it call exec("otherscript *.*.*.*", output, retval); This worked fine, adding the string "*.*.*.*" to the whitelist until I happened to have another file in the directory of the php script that matched that pattern ("foo.1.tar.gz"), at which point the wildcards were expanded, and I ended up with the filename in my whitelist. Is there some way to disable globbing in php's exec? It isn't mentioned in the PHP docs as far as I can tell.
