    Hi All, I Have a Java object which I am converting into a xml file. I am getting a big xml file here after converting java object. I am capturing that converted xml file in a string like below String ouputXML = xmlfile; Noe If I pring the ouputXML on the console of IBM RSA in the proper format only it is printing but my requirement is I need to redirect outputXML in to an XML instead of printing in IBm RSA console. I am able to do this but the problem is if I open the craetd XML file the xml structure is not proper , it is showing so many special characters . Please help me !!

Object hierarchy (parent and child classes)? A Tree of objects? Class A has an attribute of Class B which has an attribute of Class C? STL containers? Class A has a vector of Class B? A cyclic of objects? Class A has a pointer pointing to B which has a pointer to A? I find boost serialization library.     Hi all I have a .net class library 2.0 with an app.config with a connectionString section. I have 01 Method that this class library exposes " string GetConnectionString(string name) However even though the app.config in this class library has 3 connstrings it does not read this config.exe.How can I make it read the app.config that resides withing this dll? Again, Usually you will have a web or windows app with a config and it will all work. Mine is a special case I need to read the connectionstring within this class library.   • Homework - C# - Creating an object instance with a button click

    I'm new to learning Windows Programming with C#. My current assignment is to create a very simple bank account program: The user enters the accountholder name, account number and beginning balance, then presses a "Continue" button to work with that account by making deposits and withdrawals. I wrote a separate "BankAccount" class with the required data members and methods. I've put the code for the creation of the BankAccount object in the Continue button click event BankAccount currentAccount = new BankAccount(acctName, acctNum, beginningBalance); But that seems to make it local to that method only, and currentAccount is not recognized when I'm programming the click event for the "Record Transactions" (deposits and withdrawals) button. How and where should the creation of the BankAccount object be coded in order for it to be created when the "Continue" button is clicked and also recognized in the "Record Transactions" button click event? Please let me know if any clarification is needed, or if you need to see part or all of my code.

  • Send serialised object via socket

    Whats the best way to format a message to a server, at moment I'm serilising an object using the binaryformatter and then sending it to the server. At the server end its listening in an async fashion and then when the buffer size recieved is not 100% it assumes that the transfer has complete. This is working and the moment, and I can deserialise the object at the other end, I'm just concerned that if I start sending async this method will fail has message's could be blurred. I know that I need to mark the message somehow as to say that's the end of message one, this other bit belongs to message 2, but I'm unsure of the correct way to do this. Could anyone point me in the right direction and maybe give me some examples? Thanks

    I radically re-edited the question to explain better my application, as the xample I made up wasn't correct in many ways as you pointed out: I have one pointer to char and I want to copy it to another pointer and then add a NULL character at the end (in my real application, the first string is a const, so I cannot jsut modify it, that's why I need to copy it). I have this function, "MLSLSerialWriteBurst" which I have to fill with some code adapt to my microcontroller. tMLError MLSLSerialWriteBurst( unsigned char slaveAddr, unsigned char registerAddr, unsigned short length, const unsigned char *data ) { unsigned char *tmp_data; tmp_data = data; *(tmp_data+length) = NULL; // this function takes a tmp_data which is a char* terminated with a NULL character ('\0') if(EEPageWrite2(slaveAddr,registerAddr,tmp_data)==0) return ML_SUCCESS; else return ML_ERROR; } I see there's a problem here: tha fact that I do not initialize tmp_data, but I cannot know it's length.

    Hey guys, I'm trying to validate a model object outside of the context of ModelState within a controller, I currently have a parser that creates model objects from an excel file and I want to be able to report how many entries were added to the database and how many failed, is there a way to validate a model object on its data annotations outside of model binding? I'm looking for something similar to the rails model method of model.valid? or a way for me to implement that myself. My current solution is just manually checking if a few key fields are present but this duplicates requirements between my model class and its metadata, there has to be a better way to hook into the model validation checking that is done by mvc 2.   • Best way to convert between [Char] and [Word8]?

    I'm new to Haskell and I'm trying to use a pure SHA1 implementation in my app (Data.Digest.Pure.SHA) with a JSON library (AttoJSON). AttoJSON uses Data.ByteString.Char8 bytestrings, SHA uses Data.ByteString.Lazy bytestrings, and some of my string literals in my app are [Char]. This article seems to indicate this is something still being worked out in the Haskell language/Prelude: http // hackage.haskell.org/trac/haskell-prime/wiki/CharAsUnicode And this one lists a few libraries but its a couple years old: http //blog.kfish.org/2007/10/survey-haskell-unicode-support.html [Links broken because SO doesn't trust me -- whatever...] What is the current best way to convert between these types, and what are some of the tradeoffs?     I am using an instance of a private class as the state object supplied to a stream.BeginRead operation. (The class is private to my main stream reading/writing class.) public class MainClass { // ... private class ResponseState { public IResponse response; public Stream stream; public byte[] buffer = new byte[1024]; } } Access to the class is via the fields directly. Should I really be providing access to the class via properties in this case, even though it is only to be used for holding state? Interested to know what others do.

This question follows this: handling to onchange event of AutoCompleteTextField in wicket I'm trying to use the AutoCompleteTextField with a custom class as the generic type, and to add an AjaxFormComponentUpdatingBehavior. What I mean is I want to have a AutoCompleteTextField<SomeClass> myAutoComplete = ...; and after that add a AjaxFormComponentUpdatingBehavior: myAutoComplete.add(new AjaxFormComponentUpdatingBehavior("onchange") { @Override protected void onUpdate(AjaxRequestTarget target) { System.out.println( "Value: "+getValue() ); } }); The problem is that for some reason, adding that behavior makes the form try to set the model object with a String (even though the AutoCompleteTextField has a generic type of SomeClass), causing a ClassCastException when the onchange event fires. Is there a way to use AutoCompleteTextField without it being AutoCompleteTextField<String>? I couldn't find any example.     Let's assume I have an array of object properties I'd like to access: $properties = array('foo', 'bar'); I'd like to loop through the object and access these properties dynamically (specifically, I'm trying to dynamically handle missing JSON elements based on an array of expected elements): foreach ($data as $item) { foreach ($properties as $property) { if (empty($item->{$property})) { // Do something } } } Each $item in $data should have the properties 'foo' and 'bar'. If empty(), I'll handle them. I'm trying to get the loop (in line 3) to access $item-{'foo'} and $item-{'bar'}, but it's not working. Any idea why? Thanks!

    The Repository class has singleton behavior and the _db implements the disposable pattern. As excepted the _db object gets disposed after the first call and because of the singleton behavior any other call of _db will crash. These strings are in cluded in ext-lang-pt_PT.js. what is the difference between ext-lang-pt.js and ext-lang-pt_PT.js.   • Having trouble applying style to SVG using JavaScript upon object creation

    Hi, I have a function which creates an SVG text object using JavaScript. As soon as the object is created, I want it to have the style attribute which in CSS would be text-anchor: left. Currently, it doesn't work. I have tried many variations, and I also read that when using styles in JavaScript you must remove any '-' dashes and format the attribute name in camel casing (is this true?).   • File won't save output to file, and prints out a string oddly C++ Linux

    I'm trying to make a password code, the user enters a password, then it will save the password to a file in /tmp/ and then it will output the password (For me so I can find bugs). I have included the "string" library, and I set the password type to string, but when I output it, it outputs like this: 0x7fffb55baac0password // <-- thats the password I entered It will output hex (I think), then the password I entered, and it won't save it to the file in /tmp/ I want it to (Or any file in /tmp/).
