  • WPF Lookless Control Events

    - by Scott
    I have the following class: public class LooklessControl : Control { public List<int> IntList { get; private set; } public int CurrentInt { get; private set; } private int _index = 0; static LooklessControl() { DefaultStyleKeyProperty.OverrideMetadata(typeof(LooklessControl), new FrameworkPropertyMetadata(typeof(LooklessControl))); } public LooklessControl() { IntList = new List<int>(); for (int i = 0; i < 10; i++) { IntList.Add(i); } CurrentInt = IntList[_index]; } public static readonly RoutedCommand NextItemCommand = new RoutedCommand("NextItemCommand", typeof(LooklessControl)); private void ExecutedNextItemCommand(object sender, ExecutedRoutedEventArgs e) { NextItemHandler(); } private void CanExecuteNextItemCommand(object sender, CanExecuteRoutedEventArgs e) { e.CanExecute = true; } public static readonly RoutedCommand PrevItemCommand = new RoutedCommand("PrevItemCommand", typeof(LooklessControl)); private void ExecutedPrevItemCommand(ExecutedRoutedEventArgs e) { PrevItemHandler(); } private void CanExecutePrevItemCommand(object sender, CanExecuteRoutedEventArgs e) { e.CanExecute = true; } public static readonly RoutedEvent NextItemEvent = EventManager.RegisterRoutedEvent("NextItemEvent", RoutingStrategy.Bubble, typeof(RoutedEventHandler), typeof(LooklessControl)); public event RoutedEventHandler NextItem { add { AddHandler(NextItemEvent, value); } remove { RemoveHandler(NextItemEvent, value); } } private void RaiseNextItemEvent() { RoutedEventArgs args = new RoutedEventArgs(LooklessControl.NextItemEvent); RaiseEvent(args); } public static readonly RoutedEvent PrevItemEvent = EventManager.RegisterRoutedEvent("PrevItemEvent", RoutingStrategy.Bubble, typeof(RoutedEventHandler), typeof(LooklessControl)); public event RoutedEventHandler PrevItem { add { AddHandler(PrevItemEvent, value); } remove { RemoveHandler(PrevItemEvent, value); } } private void RaisePrevItemEvent() { RoutedEventArgs args = new RoutedEventArgs(LooklessControl.PrevItemEvent); RaiseEvent(args); } private void NextItemHandler() { _index++; if (_index == IntList.Count) { _index = 0; } CurrentInt = IntList[_index]; RaiseNextItemEvent(); } private void PrevItemHandler() { _index--; if (_index == 0) { _index = IntList.Count - 1; } CurrentInt = IntList[_index]; RaisePrevItemEvent(); } } The class has a default style, in Generic.xaml, that looks like this: <Style x:Key="{x:Type local:LooklessControl}" TargetType="{x:Type local:LooklessControl}"> <Setter Property="Height" Value="200"/> <Setter Property="Width" Value="90"/> <Setter Property="Template"> <Setter.Value> <ControlTemplate TargetType="{x:Type local:LooklessControl}"> <Border BorderBrush="Black" BorderThickness="1" Padding="2"> <Grid> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition Height="20"/> <RowDefinition Height="*"/> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <Rectangle Grid.Row="0" Fill="LightGray"/> <Rectangle Grid.Row="1" Fill="Gainsboro"/> <Grid Grid.Row="0"> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="10"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="*"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="10"/> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <Path Grid.Column="0" x:Name="pathLeftArrow" Data="M0,0.5 L1,1 1,0Z" Width="6" Height="14" Stretch="Fill" HorizontalAlignment="Center" Fill="SlateBlue"/> <TextBlock Grid.Column="1" Name="textBlock" Text="{Binding RelativeSource={RelativeSource TemplatedParent}, Path=CurrentInt}" HorizontalAlignment="Center" VerticalAlignment="Center" FontFamily="Junction" FontSize="13"/> <Path Grid.Column="2" x:Name="pathRightArrow" Data="M0,0 L1,0.5 0,1Z" Width="6" Height="14" Stretch="Fill" HorizontalAlignment="Center" Fill="SlateBlue"/> </Grid> <ListBox Grid.Row="1" HorizontalContentAlignment="Center" VerticalContentAlignment="Center" Background="Transparent" ItemsSource="{Binding RelativeSource={RelativeSource TemplatedParent}, Path=IntList}"/> </Grid> </Border> </ControlTemplate> </Setter.Value> </Setter> </Style> How do I make it so that when the user clicks on pathLeftArrow it fires LooklessControl.PrevItemCommand, or or they click on pathRightArrow and it fires LooklessControl.NextItemCommand, or they click on an item in the ListBox and LooklessControl is notified of the newly selected item? In other words, without adding x:Class to the top of Generic.xaml and thus creating a code-behind file for it, which I assume you wouldn't want to do, how do you handle events for elements in your xaml that don't have a Command property (which is just about everything other than a Button)? Should LooklessControl have it's own XAML file (much like what you get when you create a new UserControl) associated with it that Generic.xaml just pulls in as a MergedDictionar as its default template? Or is there some other acknowledged way to do what I'm trying to do?

  • Building a Universal iPad App - Where is the device recognition code?

    - by JustinXXVII
I noticed that when I create a new project in XCode for a Universal iPad/iPhone application, the template comes with two separate App Delegate files, one for each device. I can't seem to locate the place in code where it tries to decide which app delegate to use. I have an existing iPhone project I'd like to port to iPad. My thinking was that if I went ahead and designed the iPad project, I could just import my iPhone classes and nibs, and then use the App Delegate and UIDevice to decide which MainWindow.xib to load. The process went like this: Create an iPad project coded as a split-view create brand new classes and nibs for the iPad import iPhone classes and nibs Change build/target settings in accordance with Universal Apps Use [[UIDevice currentDevice] model] in the AppDelegate to decide which MainWindow to load Will this work, or does the app just automatically know which device it's being deployed on? Thanks for any insight you can offer.

  • Using numeric_limits::max() in constant expressions

    - by FireAphis
Hello, I would like to define inside a class a constant which value is the maximum possible int. Something like this: class A { ... static const int ERROR_VALUE = std::numeric_limits<int>::max(); ... } This declaration fails to compile with the following message: numeric.cpp:8: error: 'std::numeric_limits::max()' cannot appear in a constant-expression numeric.cpp:8: error: a function call cannot appear in a constant-expression I understand why this doesn't work, but two things look weird to me: It seems to me a natural decision to use the value in constant expressions. Why did the language designers decide to make max() a function thus not allowing this usage? The spec claims in 18.2.1 that For all members declared static const in the numeric_limits template, specializations shall define these values in such a way that they are usable as integral constant expressions. Doesn't it mean that I should be able to use it in my scenario and doesn't it contradict the error message? Thank you.

  • Mounting a drive in Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala)

    - by morpheous
I have just installed Ubuntu on a machine that previously had XP installed on it. The machine has 2 HDD (hard disk drives). I opted to install Ubuntu completely over XP. I am new to Linux, and I am still learning how to navigate teh file structure. However, AFAICT), there is only one drive. I want to be able to store programs etc on the first drive, and store data (program output etc) on the second drive. It appears Ubuntu is not aware that I have 2 drives (on XP, these were drives C and D). How can I mount the second drive (ideally, I want to do this automatically on login, so that the drive is available to me whenever I login - withou manual intervention from me) In XP, I could refer to files on a specific drive by prefixing with the drive letter (e.g. c:\foobar.cpp and d:\foobar.dat). I suspect the notation on ubuntu is different. How may I specify specific files on different drives? Last but notbthe least (a bit unrelated to previous questions). This relates to direcory structure again. I am a developer (C++ for desktops and PHP for websites), I want to install the following apps/ libraries. i). Apache 2.2 ii). PHP 5.2.11 iii). MySQL (5.1) iv). SVN v). Netbeans vi). C++ development tools (gcc, gdb, emacs etc) vii). QT toolkit viii). Some miscellaeous scientific software (e.g. www.r-project.org, www.gnu.org/software/octave/) I would be grateful if a someone can recommend a directory layout for these applications. Regarding development, I would also be grateful if someone could point out where to store my project and source files i.e: (i) *.cpp, *.hpp, *.mak files for cpp projects (ii) individual websites On my XP machine the layout for C++ dev was like this: c:\dev\devtools (common libs and headers etc) c:\dev\workarea (root folder for projects) c:\dev\workarea\c++ (c++ projects) c:\dev\workarea\websites (web projects) I would like to create a similar folder structure on the linux machine, but its not clear whether to place these folders under /, /usr, /home or swomewhere else (there seems to be abffling number of choices, so I want to get it "right" first time - i.e having a directory structure that most developer use, so it is easier when communicating with other ubuntu/linux developers)

  • Django IN query as a string result - invalid literal for int() with base 10

    - by bmelton
Trying to query a 'Favorites' model to get a list of items a user has favorited, and then querying against a different model to get the objects back from that query to present to the template, but I'm getting an error: "invalid literal for int() with base 10" Looking over all of the other instances of that error, I couldn't find any in which the asker actually wanted to work with a comma separated list of integers, so I'm kind of at a loss. Model class Favorite(models.Model): # key should be the model name, id is the model.id, and user is the User object. key = models.CharField(max_length=255, unique=True) val = models.IntegerField(default=0) user = models.ForeignKey(User) class Admin: list_display = ('key', 'id', 'user') View def index(request): favorites = Favorite.objects.filter(key='blog', user=request.user.pk) values = "" for favorite in favorites: values += "%s," % favorite.val #values = "[%s]" % values blogs = Blog.objects.filter(pk__in=values) return render_to_response('favorite/index.html', { "favorites" : favorites, "blogs" : blogs, "values" : values, }, context_instance=RequestContext(request) ) enter code here

  • Render a user control ascx

    - by Jeremy
I want to use an ascx as a template, and render it programatically, using the resulting html as the return value of an ajax method. Page pageHolder = new Page(); MyUserControl ctlRender = (MyUserControl)pageHolder.LoadControl(typeof(MyUserControl),null); pageHolder.Controls.Add(ctlRender); System.IO.StringWriter swOutput = new System.IO.StringWriter(); HttpContext.Current.Server.Execute(pageHolder, swOutput, false); return swOutput.ToString(); This all executes, and the Page Load event of the user control fires, but the StringWriter is always empty. I've seen similar code to this in other examples, what am I missing?

  • Copying files from a Rails plugin into the application upon plugin install

    - by Lou Z.
When someone installs this plugin, I would like a file to be copied into the config/initializers directory of the app. I could do this in install.rb by copying a template file that resides somewhere in the plugin. Another option would be to require the user to run a generator after install. I know rspec-rails makes you run a generator after you install it, is that the recommended behavior? And is there anything wrong with copying files into the application in install.rb? Thanks! Lou

  • Jinja2 returns "None" string for Google App Engine models

    - by Brian M. Hunt
Google App Engine models, likeso: from google.appengine.ext.db import Model class M(): name = db.StringProperty() Then in a Jinja2 template called from a Django view with an in instance of M passed in as m: The name of this M is {{ m.name }}. When m is initialized without name being set, the following is printed: The name of this M is None. The preferable and expected output (and the output when using Django templates) would be/is: The name of this M is . Do you know why this is happening, and how to get the preferred & expected output?

  • django model Form. Include fields from related models

    - by Tom
Hi. I have a model, called Student, which has some fields, and a OneToOne relationship with user (django.contrib.auth.User). class Student(models.Model): phone = models.CharField(max_length = 25 ) birthdate = models.DateField(null=True) gender = models.CharField(max_length=1,choices = GENDER_CHOICES) city = models.CharField(max_length = 50) personalInfo = models.TextField() user = models.OneToOneField(User, unique=True) Then, I have a ModelForm for that model class StudentForm (forms.ModelForm): class Meta: model = Student Using the fields attribute in class Meta, i've managed to show only some fields in a template. However, can I indicate which user fields to show? Something as: fields =('personalInfo','user.username') is currently not showing anything. Works with only StudentFields though/ Thanks in advance.

  • Converting a large SQL Server Database to Azure Storage

    - by Laith
Hi guys, I have a very large database structure, (Data is not important at this point, I can migrate the info in the db pretty easily if the structure is done) , all reside in SQL Server and I even published it to SQL Azure, but thinking about the limitation of SQL Azure in size, made me decide to switch most of the tables that do not need all the bells and whistles of SQL Azure to Azure Table and blob storage. I was thinking of creating a TT template that dose that, but was wondering if their is a tool that do that. Any ideas or thoughts. The only tables that i would keep in SQL Azure would anything related to transactions like payments. Appreciate your thoughts and advice

My application reads from xml and create tree accordingly. My problem is that when I load it, it is too slow, I want to know about the tricks that will help me to improve performance of my(any) wpf application. Edit: Please provide me some tips for better performance in wpf!! I am using wpf Profiler but it is not much helpful for me.

  • Select a subset of foreign key elements in inlineformset_factory in Django

    - by Enis Afgan
Hello, I have a model with two foreign keys: class Model1(models.Model): model_a = models.ForeignKey(ModelA) model_b = models.ForeignKey(ModelB) value = models.IntegerField() Then, I create an inline formset class, like so: an_inline_formset = inlineformset_factory(ModelA, Model1, fk_name="model_a") and then instantiate it, like so: a_formset = an_inline_formset(request.POST, instance=model_A_object) Once this formset gets rendered in a template/page, there is ChoiceField associated with the model_b field. The problem I'm having is that the elements in the resulting drop down menu include all of the elements found in ModelB table. I need to select a subset of those based on some criteria from ModelB. At the same time, I need to keep the reference to the instance of model_A_object when instantiating inlineformset_factory and, therefore, I can't just use this example. Any suggestions?

  • Current URL with PHP

    - by Christopher
I have a link shortener system (Yourls) set up so you can go to the short url with ?url=[xyz] (where [xyz] is the url you wan to shorten) added to the end will shorten the URL. I want to add a link to a separate page (on my MediaWiki wiki) that shortens the permalink of the page that it is on. I need to add the button to my template in a way that will add the URL of the current page to the link. MediaWiki is a PHP platform, so that is preferred (but JavaScript is fine too). How can I do this? (I apologize if this is confusing)

  • Targetting DataTemplate for only on certain views

    - by huseyint
I have a DataTemplate inside a global/shared ResourceDictionary like this which targets a DataType: <DataTemplate DataType="{x:Type foo:Bar}"> <!-- My DataTemplate visual tree goes here... --> </DataTemplate> This DataTemplate replaces my all foo:Bar types on all my Views (UserControls/Windows). What I want to do is to apply this template to only certain views, keeping the other views are not affected by this DataTemplate. I can copy this DataTemplate to Resources sections of each of these view, but I don't want to copy/paste the contents of the DataTemplate which would result in maintenance headaches.

  • How to use two templates for ListViewItem using WPF

    - by Gregor
Hi, I would like to have a ListView that would have have items similar to Microsoft Outlook inbox with items arranged by Conversations (see the attached photo). An item can either be a simple textblock containing the topic of the conversation (on the photo this are the blue lines) or it can contain email information specified by the ListView's header. It would be best if the items with conversation topics would be push buttons so that emails inside that conversation could be shown or hidden by pressing this button. Any ideas how can I achieve this? Do I specify two ListViewItem templates? If yes, how do I tell in the code which template to use for each item? Any help will be GREATLY appreciated!! Regards, Gregor

  • Add Flickr RSS feed to Page via SimplePie

    - by Bradley Bell
Hi all. I'm trying to add my recently uploaded flickr feed onto a site. I've followed tutorials with Simple Pie, but can't get what I desire. I need to be able dictate where each image will sit in multiple DIV's rather than just one repeated DIV. Here is a website which seems to do what I want.. wearecondiment.com It basically updates the Static URL inside each seperate DIV.. I cant find the PHP anywhere in there code. Here is the site I plan to add this feature to.. "http://www.openyourheart.org.uk" I'll make a new page and template of square DIVs where each photo will sit. The aim of it will basically be so that people can upload their own images to display in the campaign and automatically appear on the site. It would also be great if somehow the image could crop to the size of each square/rectangle. Any ideas? Cheers, Bradley

  • How to use Django's filesizeformat

    - by Scott LaPlant
    I have a small app I'm working on where I'm trying to use Django's built in filesizeformat. Currently, the format looks like this: {{ value|filesizeformat }} I understand I need to define this in my view.py file but, I can't seem to figure out how to do that. I've tried to use the syntax below: def filesizeformat(bytes): """ Formats the value like a 'human-readable' file size (i.e. 13 KB, 4.1 MB, 102 bytes, etc). """ try: bytes = float(bytes) except (TypeError,ValueError,UnicodeDecodeError): return u"0 bytes" if bytes < 1024: return ungettext("%(size)d byte", "%(size)d bytes", bytes) % {'size': bytes} if bytes < 1024 * 1024: return ugettext("%.1f KB") % (bytes / 1024) if bytes < 1024 * 1024 * 1024: return ugettext("%.1f MB") % (bytes / (1024 * 1024)) return ugettext("%.1f GB") % (bytes / (1024 * 1024 * 1024)) filesizeformat.is_safe = True I've then replaced 'value' with 'bytes' in the template but, this does not seem to work. Any suggestions?

  • How to time-delay email deliveries?

    - by Michael D
I'm currently learning about the Drupal email functions, such as drupal_mail and hook_mail, and hook_mail_alter, and I have a problem before me where I'll need to be able to queue emails for delayed delivery. For example, an event signup notification that needs to wait for an hour after the event was registered by a user. And that email has user specific data, so can't be just a generic template email... I'm using the MailQ module, mainly for it's logging capabilities, but I wonder if it (or something else) could be modified to add a configurable delay function? Any ideas?

  • What HTML is permitted within Flash text fields.

    - by JasonS
Hi, Could someone clarify for me what input Flash accepts for its text fields? I am tasked with managing a content management system, this then generates XML which power's flash sites. I have nothing to do with Flash. I work with PHP. Currently we use a rather temperamental Flash Text Editor which is prone to all sorts of troubles. I tried to plug-in tinyMce but it broke the Flash templates. I then recently spoke to someone who said that flash should take any HTML. Now I am confused as this would point to a dodgy template. Can someone clarify. Do Flash text fields handle all HTML or just a limited subset of HTML. If it is the latter, what happens if it comes across a tag it doesn't recognise? Does it display the tag or break? Thanks, Jason

  • python: how to convert list of lists into a single nested list

    - by Bhuski
I have a python list of lists as shown below: mylist=[ [['orphan1', ['some value1']]], [['parent1', ['child1', ['child', ['some value2']]]]], [['parent1', ['child2', ['child', ['some value3']]]]] ] I need to convert the above list to some thing like this: result=[ ['orphan1', ['some value1']], ['parent1', ['child1', ['child', ['some value2']]], ['child2', ['child', ['some value3']]]] ] Kindly help me approach this problem. I have given only simple list. In actual scenario here, in my list, even grand parents/grand childs are there. How much ever deep the input nested list is, I need to convert it to a single nested list, with common list elements (parents and grand parents) appearing only once. (but the next to innermost list element('child' in above example) should appear as many times it occurs in the input list. I have been trying to do this last two days, but did not end up with working solution :(. I need to use the output in django template filter: unordered_list so that the resultant nested list appears as a nested unordered list in my html page ..

  • Trim "Minify" inline css at runtime, expand it at edit time.

    - by Scott B
My custom WP theme has a text block in the theme options panel that allows the user to create and maintain a custom css block that is applied to the site template at runtime. I would like to trim or "minify" this content before its stored in the database, but retain all the whitespace when its presented back to the user for editing. Would this be possible? For example, if the user has entered the following as their custom css code... .red {color:red;} .green {color:green;} .blue {color:blue;} Then I would like to store it in the database as: .red{color:red;}.green{color:green;}.blue{color:blue;} But still display it as it was input (ie, retain all the white space and line breaks) when the user is editing the content via my theme options panel.

  • Importing Swift classes within a Objective-C Framework

    - by theMonster
I have a custom Framework that has a bunch of Objective-C Classes. Within the Framework, I'd like to add more classes using Swift. However, when trying to expose the Swift classes to the Objective-C code using: MyProduct-Swift.h, it comes up as "MyProduct-Swift.h file not found". I've tried this in a single view template and it works fine. Is it not possible to import Swift within a framework? I've also verified that I have set the Defines Module setting and the Module Name. I've tried it with and without these settings.
