  • JJIL Android Java Problem

    Hey Guys, Long time reader never posted until now. Im having some trouble with Android, im implementing a library called JJIL its an open source imaging library. My problem is this i need to run some analysis on an image and to do so i need to have it in jjil.core.image format and once those processes are complete i need to convert the changed image from jjil.core.image to java.awt.image. I cant seem to find a method of doing this does anyone have any ideas or have any experience with this? I would be grateful of any help. Danny

  • SQL Server 2000 DTS Package Failing with "The number of failing rows exceeds the maximum specified"

    I have inherited a SQL Server 2000 DTS package that migrates data from SQL Server to Oracle. This package moves about 20 tables' data to Oracle every night with no transformations, and it is then transformed by a set of SPs and used by a GIS application. Twice this week, during the migration between SQL Server and Oracle, the package has failed with "The number of failing rows exceeds the maximum specified". It has failed on a different table each time, though. Each time it's failed, we've rerun the process the next morning and it has worked. Because the process works the second time it's run, it makes me think the data is being changed by someone or something between the initial failure and our successful second run. I would like to change the DTS package to log the failing rows in a text document so we can compare them later. Can someone help me with that? I can't seem to figure that part out. Scott

  • cURL PHP Proper SSL between private servers with self-signed certificate

    I originally had a connection between my 2 servers running with CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER set to "false" with no Common Name in the SSL cert to avoid errors. The following is the client code that connected to the server with the certificate: curl_setopt($ch,CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER,FALSE); curl_setopt($ch,CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST,2); However, I recently changed this code (set it to true) and specified the computers certificate in PEM format. curl_setopt($ch,CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER,TRUE); curl_setopt($ch,CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST,2); curl_setopt($ch,CURLOPT_CAINFO,getcwd().'/includes/hostcert/Hostname.crt'); This worked great on the local network from a test machine, as the certificate is signed with it's hostname for a CN. How can I setup the PHP code so it only trusts the hostname computer and maintains a secure connection. I'm well aware you can just set CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST to "0" or "1" and CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER to "false", but these are not valid solutions as they break the SSL security.

  • Using LinqSql, stored procedure returns datatype image problem

    Hello! I´ve got a problem when using LINQ to execute a stored procedure and return its values. One of the column that the stored procedure returns is of datatype image and contains a pdf in binary form.(this because the database is deployed on sql server 2000, otherwised i would choose a blob) When including the stored procedure in my linq class its generates that my pdf columns is datatype int in the designer class. I´ve work around the problem and manually changed the datatype in representation of the stored procedure in the designer class. But when adding/removing items in the linq class the designer file re-generates and my changes are lost. Are there any better solution for my problem??

  • Navigating back to "Home" from an area (MVC2)

    I have a few areas in my application that are relatively independent (all navigated to from the master page). So, as of now, I am simply using the "default" MVC2 template (the one you get when you create a new MVC2 project). So the menu looks like this: HOME AREA1 AREA2 AREA3 AREA4 .... ABOUT Now, when I first load up the page, I am on the "HOME", and I can click on the ABOUT without issue. I can navigate to any of the areas as well, however, once I navigate to an area page, I cannot get back to my home or about pages (404 not found). When I navigate to them, and click on about, the address bar shows .../AreaX/Home/Home instead of Home/Home as I would expect. I expect that is has something to do with my routing, but Im not completely sure. I have added/changed nothing with the default routing (which is probably the issue!). Any thoughts?

    I'm using dragonfly gem to manage images and attachments in my rails app and I need to store images in a specific directory structure based on my user model. let' say I have user model which has a name and each user has many albums, which have a name also, then I want the images to be stored in "#{RAILS_ROOT}/public/system/#{user.name}/#{user.album.name}/#{suffix}" I've managed to changed the root_path in dragon fly and I even overrided relative_storage_path like this: class MyDataStore < Dragonfly::DataStorage::FileDataStore private def relative_storage_path(suffix) "#{suffix}" end end but still, I don't know how I can pass the ActiveRecord object attributes like user.name and user.album.name to relative_storage_path to create my ideal path. do you have any idea how I can do such a thing?

  • Most Efficient Alternative Method of Storing Settings for iPhone Apps

    I am not using the Settings bundle to store the settings for my app, as I prefer to allow the user to access the settings within the app (they may be changed fairly often). I do realize that there is the option to do both, but for now, I am trying to find the most optimal place to store the settings within the app. I have a good number of settings (from what I have read, probably too many for NSUserDefaults), and the two main options I am considering are: 1) storing the settings in a dictionary in the plist, loading the settings into a NSDictionary property in the app delegate and accessing them via the sharedDelegate 2) storing the settings in a Core Data entity (1 row on Settings entity), loading the settings into a Settings object in the app delegate and accessing them via the sharedDelegate Of these two, which would be the optimal method, performance wise?

    I'm programming a GPS tracking system using the Motorola i335 running on Sprint's IDEN network. I'm using the javax.microedition.location api to find the GPS coordinates. To set up the updating, you use the [setLocationListener][1] method. I originally tried passing (listener,2,1,1). However there was too many invalid locations being received (where the GPS could not get the fix in the specified time), so I changed the parameters to (listener, 20, 20, 1). Now the system barely throws any invalid locations. My goal is to get the fastest number of updates that are realistic. Have any of you found a happy medium for parameters of this method?   • Auto update CSS from SASS/SCSS in Rails?

    Maybe I'm confused on how SASS/SCSS works within Rails (2.3.8.) but I was under the impression that if I included the option Sass::Plugin.options[:always_update] = true that whenever I changed my SCSS file and then hit the page (controller) again, the SCSS would recompile. I can't seem to get this to work, and can't seem to find a good tutorial / example for it. I've tried setting the above property in the Environment.rb file, but it didn't seem to do anything. I tried putting it in its own initializer with require 'sass' but that doesn't seem to work either. What am I missing? Or am i just forced to keep a terminal open with a sass --watch command running to be able to rapidly debug / change my styles? thx

  • How can I make Vim autosave files when it loses focus?

    I'm used to my editors autosaving files when they lose focus. I recently switched to MacVim, and I can't recreate that behavior. I tried this: autocmd BufLeave,FocusLost * wall but if a buffer is unnamed when the window or MacVim loses focus, I get an error like the following: Error detected while processing BufLeave Auto commands for "*": E141: No file name for buffer 1 I'm confused, because :wall's documentation says: Write all changed buffers. Buffers without a file name or which are readonly are not written. so I'd expect it to skip unnamed buffers. Is there a better way to do this?

    I runned into a problem with my regular expressions, I'm using regular expressions for obtaining data from the string below: "# DO NOT EDIT THIS MAIL BY HAND #\r\n\r\n[Feedback]:hallo\r\n\r\n# DO NOT EDIT THIS MAIL BY HAND #\r\n\r\n" So far is got it working with: String sFeedback = Regex.Match(Message, @"\[Feedback\]\:(?<string>.*?)\r\n\r\t\n# DO NOT EDIT THIS MAIL BY HAND #").Groups[1].Value; This works except if the header is changed, therefore I want the regex to read from [feedback]: to the end of the string. (symbols, ascii, everything..) I tried: \[Feedback]:(?<string>.*?)$ Above regular expression does work in some regular expression builders online but in my c# code its not working and returns a empty string. can someone help me with this regular expression? thanks in advance

  • Is it possible to change WCF service without regenerating & recompiling client proxy?

    Let's say I have a WCF service which has a method returning object Person. In one of the clients of this service, I can add service reference to the service and start using its method. Now, let's say the Person class is changed on the server, having a new DataMember added. Other clients will make use of this new DataMember, but my client doesn't. Therefore, this client shouldn't even be aware that the service returns s/t "more" than what it needs. Is there any way that my client can still work with the service without having to update the service reference (which, as I understand, means regenerating the proxy & compiling it)?

  • Why do external Java libraries paths have to be refreshed in eclipse between starts?

    For my school projects, I use the joda-time API for generating timestamps that are used for file names and logging. Getting eclipse to recognize the library is no problem. However, when I start eclipse between reboots, I get the red X in the project tree because the external API cannot be found, even though the file path has not changed. So each time, I have to go to the Libraries tab in Build Path to re-target the API. Frankly, this is getting to be a PIMA. So is there any way to have the path be permanent, so I don't have to do the Build Path rigmarole all the time?

  • Can't correctly stream x264 video to mobile via RTSP

    Hello! I'm trying to stream video compressed with x264 and NeroAAC and hinted with MP4Box. When i'm playing it with VLC player streaming works fine, as expected. When i'm trying to open URL with my HTC Hero, it switches to player mode, then starts "loading video" animation, then after some time it shows "unable to connect to server". Sample movies provided with DSS streamed fine regardless bitrate. I tried few encoding options, but always the same result. I suspect nocabac and level=11 but it didn't changed nothing. Is there some more specific encoding options for such type? Thank You!

    using winforms, c#, vs 2008 So i have textbox1, textbox2 and textbox3 on a winforms. Textbox3.text = textbox1.text + textbox2.text. I need textbox3 to be updated whenever the contents of textbox1 and textbox2 have been changed either manually or programmatic. The problem is if i use textbox textchanged event it keeps firing as one types in the textbox. I need a way to call my method to fill textbox3 after either tb1 or tb2 have been FINISHED changing programmaticly or via key entry, and not fire everytime a letter of text is entered. How can I have TextBox3 update only when tb1 or tb2 have finished changing?

  • Android EditText within a ListView

    I have created a custom Array Adapter to bind a custom row that contains some static text and an editable EditText. I am trying to register to be notified when the user changes the text within the edit text and when notified to determine which ArrayList row the modified EditText corresponds to. In the past with other types of views such as a Spinner I could simply put a reference to the parent view and the row number into the tag for the Spinner view. And then when I was notified that the value changed I read the tag to determine how to correlate it back to the master ArrayList. The problem with registering to be notifed with an EditText change is that you do not get back a view but instead get a TextWatcher and I have no way to correlate back to the parent view or ArrayList row. What is the technique that you need to use in this circumstance?

  • mdadm: Win7-install created a boot partition on one of my RAID6 drives. How to rebuild?

    My problem happened when I attempted to install Windows 7 on it's own SSD. The Linux OS I used which has knowledge of the software RAID system is on a SSD that I disconnected prior to the install. This was so that windows (or I) wouldn't inadvertently mess it up. However, and in retrospect, foolishly, I left the RAID disks connected, thinking that windows wouldn't be so ridiculous as to mess with a HDD that it sees as just unallocated space. Boy was I wrong! After copying over the installation files to the SSD (as expected and desired), it also created an ntfs partition on one of the RAID disks. Both unexpected and totally undesired! . I changed out the SSDs again, and booted up in linux. mdadm didn't seem to have any problem assembling the array as before, but if I tried to mount the array, I got the error message: mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/md0, missing codepage or helper program, or other error In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try dmesg | tail or so dmesg: EXT4-fs (md0): ext4_check_descriptors: Block bitmap for group 0 not in group (block 1318081259)! EXT4-fs (md0): group descriptors corrupted! I then used qparted to delete the newly created ntfs partition on /dev/sdd so that it matched the other three /dev/sd{b,c,e}, and requested a resync of my array with echo repair > /sys/block/md0/md/sync_action This took around 4 hours, and upon completion, dmesg reports: md: md0: requested-resync done. A bit brief after a 4-hour task, though I'm unsure as to where other log files exist (I also seem to have messed up my sendmail configuration). This is what I suggest I should attempt to do: Tell mdadm that /dev/sdd (the one that windows wrote into) isn't reliable anymore, pretend it is newly re-introduced to the array, and reconstruct its content based on the other three drives. I also could be totally wrong in my assumptions, that the creation of the ntfs partition on /dev/sdd and subsequent deletion has changed something that cannot be fixed this way. My question: Help, what should I do? If I should do what I suggested , how do I do that? From reading documentation, etc, I would think maybe: mdadm --manage /dev/md0 --set-faulty /dev/sdd mdadm --manage /dev/md0 --remove /dev/sdd mdadm --manage /dev/md0 --re-add /dev/sdd However, the documentation examples suggest /dev/sdd1, which seems strange to me, as there is no partition there as far as linux is concerned, just unallocated space. Maybe these commands won't work without. Maybe it makes sense to mirror the partition table of one of the other raid devices that weren't touched, before --re-add. Something like: sfdisk -d /dev/sdb | sfdisk /dev/sdd Bonus question: Why would the Windows 7 installation do something so st...potentially dangerous?   • Xcode5 post-archive script for Sparkle package no longer works

    Xcode 5 seems to have changed the way it stores the build application package (xxx.app) such that ditto no longer works. In the ../BuildProductsPath/Release/ directory, the app is actually a symlink to .../InstallationBuildProductsLocation/Applications/... MyApp.app - ~/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/MyApp-emwilkqhlayanxahjpexlpbbkato/Build/Intermediates/ArchiveIntermediates/MyApp/InstallationBuildProductsLocation/Applications/MyApp This breaks the ditto command I was using to create a zip file of the application to put on my Sparkle update server. Anyone have an updated script for building the Sparkle XML and ZIP files? Or know what environment variable I need to use to locate my actual binary after the Archive phase?

  • Serializing ActiveRecord objects without storing their attributes?

    I'm working on a problem where I need to store serialized hierarchies of Ruby objects in the database. Many of the objects that will need to be saved are ActiveRecord objects with a lot of attributes. Instead of saving the entire objects and then refreshing their attributes from the DB when I load them (in case they changed, which is likely), it would be easier to just store the references (class and database id) for these objects. Does anyone know if there's already a way to do this in Rails, or if there's an existing gem for it? Wanted to check if something existed before spending a ton of time hacking on it.

I'm now trying to accomplish this and is asking for a bit of advise: I'm basically trying to build a filter with 4 input elements, and 1 output. I have 4 select (drop down) elements in my page. As soon as one of them is changed, I need to build a href and get the partial view with the return values. My questionis now if I should try to build the href in the select element or if I can do it once in jquery, and don't have to have duplicated code. How would I accomplish this?

  • How can I compare Core Data models?

    I noticed while doing system testing that a feature of our app had been removed. It looks like at some point, an older version of a file was checked into SVN that was missing a property. This specific file was generated from the Core Data model, and sure enough, the latest version of the model in SVN is missing the same attribute. I need to find out if any other attributes are missing, or if anything else in the model changed. However, the elements file in the .xcodedatamodel folder appears to binary and I can't compare the revisions. Is there a way to find the differences between two Core Data models in SVN?
