    Hi, I've got 3 connectionstrings in web.config, and I used theirs like this: using (SqlConnection connection = new SqlConnection(ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["SomeName"].ConnectionString)) Every metgod is called by winforms application. One of webmethods doesn't work properly because it reads only one connectionString: data source=.\\SQLEXPRESS;Integrated Security=SSPI;AttachDBFilename=|DataDirectory|aspnetdb.mdf;User Instance=true It's not a connectionString from my web.config . I invoke every method in the same way. How it's impossible ??

  • to stop trigger in jquery

    Hi everybody , I have an AJAX call, which is doing this call every 5 seconds and when the call "succeed " I have a trigger success: function (msg) { ... $('#test').trigger('click'); return false; }, ... But i need to do this trigger just once , the first time, not every 5 second ! Can somebody suggest me how to stop this trigger, or maybe to use another stuff to trigger this "click " Thanks!

  • Iframe always showing scroll bars in IE7

    Hi everyone, Having an annoying issue in IE7. I have a website where, at the bottom of every page theres an Iframe, and for the life of me I cannot get the scroll bars to hide. This is only in IE7, every other browser I have tested is fine. I have scrolling="no" and set overflow:hidden; still not working though.   • Winforms: calling entry form function from a different class

    I'm kinda new to programming and got a question on what is a good practice. I created a class that represents a ball and it has a function Jump() that use 2 timers and get the ball up and down. I know that in Winforms you got to call Invalidate() every time you want to repaint the screen, or part of it. I didn't find a good way to do that, so I reference the form in my class, and called Invalidate() inside my ball class every time I need to repaint to ball movement.   • Oracle Schema Design: Seperate Schema with I/O Overhead?

    We are designing database schema for a new system based on Oracle 11gR1. We have identified a main schema which would have close to 100 tables, these will be accessed from the front end Java application. We have a requirement to audit the values which got changed in close to 50 tables, this has to be done every row. Which means, it is possible that, for a single row in MYSYS.T1 there might be 50 (or more) rows in MYSYS_AUDIT.T1_AUD table. We might be having old values of every column entry and new values available from T1. DBA gave an observation, advising against this method, because he said, separate schema meant an extra I/O for every operation. Basically AUDIT schema would be used only to do some analyse and enter values (thus SELECT and INSERT). Is it true that, "a separate schema means an extra I/O" ? I could not find justification. It appears logical to me, as the AUDIT data should not be tampered with, so a separate schema. Also, we designed a separate schema for archiving some tables from MYSYS. From MYSYS_ARC the table might be backed up into tapes or deleted after sufficient time. Few stats: Few tables (close to 20, 30) in MYSYS schema could grow to around 50M rows. We have asked for a total disk space of 4 TB. MYSYS_AUDIT schema might be having 10 times that of MYSYS but we wont keep them more than 3 months. Questions Given all these, can you suggest me any improvements? Separate schema affects disc I/O? (one extra I/O for every schema ?) Any general suggestions?     hi every one i am iphone developer as standard registered, i installed SDK4 seed version is fine and i alos instal ios4 for my ipod touch that is register in apple for development use, so i used xcode organizer to update my ipodtouch to new ios4 every this was fine and working to upload data , but in middle is crash and didn't work , now my ipod touch is dead is not working at all and i try to restore my ipad from backup i have in itune it didn't work? so any one has solution for my problem for installing ios4 in my ipodtouch ? thanks

    I want to encrypt the connection string in web.config, the problem is each time a developer changes the connection string in web.config and publishes, it needs to be encrypted every time in the web server. Is there any way that the connection string can encrypted automatically every time someone publishes it? Note :- All of us work on our local machines other than the server. So encryption using local machine key is not an option.

    Is it right that the procedure of using log4j looks like this: 1) put a .properties file somewhere in a project folder 2) in an initialization method, that runs only once, invoke PropertyConfigurator.configure("path_to_file"); 3) in every method we need to use logger we define a static logger variable and simply invoke getLogger(class) I'm asking you this: what if the initialization module is not defined? Where to put "log4j.properties" file so that we wouldn't need to invoke propertyconfigurator.configure at all, or if it's not possible, is it ok to invoke PropertyConfigurator.configure("path_to_file") in every method that uses a logger?

    Every time a user changes a tab, for the selected tab I want to push it to its top level controller.   • Java - is it possible to read a file line by line, stop, and then immediately start reading bytes wh

    I'm having an issue trying to parse the ascii part of a file, and once I hit the end tag, IMMEDIATELY start reading in the bytes from that point on. Everything I know in Java to read off a line or a whole word creates a buffer, which ruins any chance of getting the bytes immediately following my stop point. Is the only way to do this read in byte-by-byte, find new-lines, reconstruct everything prior to the new-line, see if it's my end tag, and go from there?

    I have got 1000 dedicated Java threads where each thread polls a corresponding url every one second. public class Poller { public static Node poll(Node node) { GetMethod method = null; try { HttpClient client = new HttpClient(new SimpleHttpConnectionManager(true)); ...... } catch (IOException ex) { ex.printStackTrace(); } finally { method.releaseConnection(); } } } The threads are run every one second: for (int i=0; i <1000; i++) { MyThread thread = threads.get(i) // threads is a static field if(thread.isAlive()) { // If the previous thread is still running, let it run. } else { thread.start(); } } The problem is if I run the job every one second I get random exceptions like these: java.net.BindException: Address already in use INFO httpclient.HttpMethodDirector: I/O exception (java.net.BindException) caught when processing request: Address already in use INFO httpclient.HttpMethodDirector: Retrying request But if I run the job every 2 seconds or more, everything runs fine. I even tried shutting down the instance of SimpleHttpConnectionManager() using shutDown() with no effect. If I do netstat, I see thousands of TCP connections in TIME_WAIT state, which means they are have been closed and are clearing up. So to limit the no of connections, I tried using a single instance of HttpClient and use it like this: public class MyHttpClientFactory { private static MyHttpClientFactory instance = new HttpClientFactory(); private MultiThreadedHttpConnectionManager connectionManager; private HttpClient client; private HttpClientFactory() { init(); } public static HttpClientFactory getInstance() { return instance; } public void init() { connectionManager = new MultiThreadedHttpConnectionManager(); HttpConnectionManagerParams managerParams = new HttpConnectionManagerParams(); managerParams.setMaxTotalConnections(1000); connectionManager.setParams(managerParams); client = new HttpClient(connectionManager); } public HttpClient getHttpClient() { if (client != null) { return client; } else { init(); return client; } } } However after running for exactly 2 hours, it starts throwing 'too many open files' and eventually cannot do anything at all. ERROR java.net.SocketException: Too many open files INFO httpclient.HttpMethodDirector: I/O exception (java.net.SocketException) caught when processing request: Too many open files INFO httpclient.HttpMethodDirector: Retrying request I should be able to increase the no of connections allowed and make it work, but I would just be prolonging the evil. Any idea what is the best practise to use HttpClient in a situation like above? Btw, I am still on HttpClient3.1.

I can draw them without problem, but I need to add support for advanced geometry operations: Nearest point of a curve, intersection, figure contains point, and more importantly, path combinations: difference, intersection, exclusive-or, union, ...
