    Hi all! jQuery.ready() allows us to wait for the construction of the webpage. Recently it has been added support to wait until CSS files are loaded. I would like to know if that feature can be used for downloaded content, because I fetch content via $.ajax() that holds CSS references and I would like to retrieve the content of the CSS before working with the retrieved content. Fetch with $.ajax() the html. -- Wait until all CSS is downloaded. Show to fetched content (already css'ed). Thank you very much for your help.

    I am wondering what is the best way to go iterate through all the rows in a datagridview and get the values from the cells.   • Non-empty list with null elements returned from Hibernate query

    Hi, I'm new to hibernate so not sure if this is an expected behaviour, anyway: Session session = (Session)entityManager.getDelegate(); Criteria criteria = session.createCriteria(myRequest.class); criteria.add(Restrictions.eq("username", username)); criteria.setProjection(Projections.max("accesscount")); List<myRequest> results = criteria.list(); The returned results is a non-empty list with a single null element. I can't think of any reason why it should behave this way, any idea if this is the expected behaviour or have I done something wrong? System is on hibernate/Syabse. Thanks.

  • Port AS3/Flex app to iPhone

    I believe Adobe tools like CS5 have ways to output as an iPhone app, but what about a regular AS3 or Flex project? Are there any tools to auto-port, or AS3/Flex iPhone implementations out there? Out of interest, how does the CS5 thing work? Is it a totally different code-path or something less drastic? For instance Flash supports Shapes and Timelines, etc... do they in fact provide an iPhone Flash runtime of some sort?

  • Weird CSS behavior... removing a 1px border makes <DIV> move about 20px

    I have the following: CSS #pageBody { height: 500px; padding:0; margin:0; /*border: 1px solid #00ff00;*/ } #pageContent { height:460px; margin-left:35px; margin-right:35px; margin-top:30px; margin-bottom:30px; padding:0px 0 0 0; } HTML <div id="pageBody"> <div id="pageContent"> <p> blah blah blah </p> </div> </div> </div> If I uncomment the border line in pageBody, everything fits sweetly... I had the border on to verify things were as expected. But removing the border, pageBody drops down the page about 20px, while pageContent does not appear to move at all. Now this is not the real page, but a subset. If nothing's obvious I can attempt to generate a working minimal sample, but I thought there might be an easy quick answer first. I see the same exact problem in Chrome and IE8, suggesting it's me not the browser. Any tips where to look? I wondered maybe the 1px border was some tipping point making the contents of a div just too big, but changing #pageContent height to e.g 400 makes no difference, other than clipping the bottom off that div.

    I'm pretty new to the world of RSpec. I'm writing a RubyGem that processes a list of files within a specified directory and any sub-directories. Specifically, it will use Find.find and append the files to an Array for later output. I'd like to write a spec to test this behaviour but don't really know where to start in terms of faking a directory of files and stubbing Find.find etc. This is what little I have so far: it "should return a list of files within the specified directory" do end Any help much appreciated!

  • Best way to develop a secured application. With .net

    Hello, we are developing a windows application, and as most apps out there, there is a login form. What I don't like is that the login form validates the user and opens the main form if user and pass are correct. Simple as is. All the function calls etc are called without verifying the user and pass again, what should be the right thing to do. What's the best way to develop a secured application that if for any reason, the login form is by passed, the other function calls won't run? Some devs suggested that we include an user and pass params on each function, which seems to be wrong... thanks!

    When I run some php code I've written, I get the following message: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'condition, price, name, email) VALUES('Fake Title', 'Fake Subhead', 'Fake Author' at line 1 I do not see anything wrong with my syntax, however, which is like: mysql_query("INSERT INTO table (x1, x2, x3) VALUES('$y1', '$y2', '$y3')"); Any ideas?

  • [Symfony] Accessing user session from a custom routing class

    Is there some way to acces the user object from a custom routing class? I'd like to add a parameter when generating a url, and that parameter is inside the user session, so I need to access it. The only way I found to access is using the sfContext::getInstance()-getUser(), but it's known to be inefficient. Thanks!

  • Best way to add/change 1 GET value while keeping others?

    How can I make a link that justs adds or changes 1 GET var while maintaining all others? I have a page that is created using different GET vars. So it will be like mypage.php?color=red&size=7&brand=some%20brand So I want to have a link that sets it to page=2 or size=8. Whats the easiest way to have a link do that without reseting all the other vars? I hope that makes sense, let me know if I need to further explain anything

  • Rails subscription limitations

    I have an application with set limits on subscription attributes i/e a user can have five projects for subscription A but have ten for subscription B At present I run a check on there current usage when linking to the create action and if they are over there limit I do not display the link to create a new project. On the view (for the new project ) I again run the check (in a helper) to see if they can create a new project and if they are not I display a message stating so and a little upgrade link. Is this a secure method of stopping a user bypassing there subscription attribute limitations ? What about direct PUT requests etc ?

  • Lambda expression will not compile

    I am very confused. I have this lamba expression: tvPatientPrecriptionsEntities.Sort((p1, p2) => p1.MedicationStartDate .Value .CompareTo(p2.MedicationStartDate.Value)); Visual Studio will not compile it and complains about syntax. I converted the lamba expression to an anonymous delegate as so: tvPatientPrecriptionsEntities.Sort( delegate(PatientPrecriptionsEntity p1, PatientPrecriptionsEntity p2) { return p1.MedicationStartDate .Value .CompareTo(p2.MedicationStartDate.Value); }); and it works fine. The project uses .NET 3.5 and I have a reference to System.Linq.

  • Ajax Code to run PHP query After Facebook Like Button is Clicked

    I have the PHP below on a file called fblike.php. On another file, I have the Facebook Like button. The Like button functions. I would like to run the code below when the Facebook Like button is clicked. I know that FB.Event.subscribe('edge.create', function(response) {} is supposed to run whenever the Like button is clicked. I know that I am probably supposed to use Javascript and maybe Ajax to cause the PHP on fblike.php to run. But after multiple tries, I can't get it to work. What is the specific Ajax code that I could include within the Facebook Event?   • Very basic database theory.

    I have a set of tables to show the relationship between organziations and supporters below. Although I have done some basic mySQL querries, I know very little about database 'design'. I plan to querry the database for: -a list of contributors to a specific organization... or, -a list of organizations that a specific suporter supports. The database tables for organiations and contributors may have other columns in the future and recieve a lesser amount of querries based on that information.     I'm trying to replace elements of a data.frame containing "#N/A" with "NULL", and I'm running into problems: foo <- data.frame("day"= c(1, 3, 5, 7), "od" = c(0.1, "#N/A", 0.4, 0.8)) indices_of_NAs <- which(foo == "#N/A") replace(foo, indices_of_NAs, "NULL") Error in [<-.data.frame(*tmp*, list, value = "NULL") : new columns would leave holes after existing columns I think that the problem is that my index is treating the data.frame as a vector, but that the replace function is treating it differently somehow, but I'm not sure what the issue is?
