  • UIView animation does not animate at first try?

    Considering that my _palette's frame is like this: _palette.frame = CGRectMake(0,480,320,200); I have this code here to slide up/down a UIView: if(![_pallete superview]) { [self.view addSubview:_pallete]; [self.view insertSubview:_tempViewPaletteListener belowSubview:_pallete]; [UIView animateWithDuration:0.3 animations:^{ _pallete.top -= kPaletteHeight; } completion:^(BOOL isFinished) { }]; } else { [UIView animateWithDuration:0.3 animations:^{ _pallete.top += kPaletteHeight; } completion:^(BOOL isFinished) { [_tempViewPaletteListener removeFromSuperview]; [_pallete removeFromSuperview]; }]; } *the _tempViewPaletteListener is just a view with a tap gesture use to dismiss the palette* The problem is when I first try to run code here, the _palette view will just stiffly display right away. What I expected is, it should slide up the _palette view. Though it works fine after the first try

If yes, then put into check variable value 10 else -10. How can I do this?     I'm setting setting FIrst view controller which will appear on my App Startup. It should appear an UIView first time as a tutorial and, from second time, another standard view.   • sqlite & python - only pulls the first result

    This is pretty strange (admitedly, this is my first attempt with python / sqlite), but I can seem to get all of the rows if I do a fetchAll(), but other than that - no matter what I try, always ends up in the db only returning the first row - the second iteration stops because a null is returned. Wondering if there is something wrong with how I am coding this up in python? However my problem is that I am using 2005 and not 2008. Does anyone know whether this is possible please?? The reason I want to do this is to better understand C# paradigms. With Java this is possible and I learnt a tremendous amount by being able to read code written by engineers

    I am writing a class called Word, that handles a c string and overloads the <, , <=, = operators. word.h: friend bool operator<(const Word &a, const Word &b); word.cc: bool operator<(const Word &a, const Word &b) { if(a == NULL && b == NULL) return false; if(a == NULL) return true; if(b == NULL) return false; return a.wd < b.wd; //wd is a valid c string } main: char* temp = NULL; //EDIT: i was mistaken, temp is a char pointer Word a("blah"); //a.wd = [b,l,a,h] cout << (temp<a); i get a segmentation error before the first line of the operator< method after the last line in the main. I can correct the problem by writing cout << (a>temp); where the operator> is similarly defined and i get no errors. but my assignment requires (temp < a) to work so this is where i ask for help.     Some problems that I recall (there may be more): Includes regions Does not use this. prefix for member variables and methods Includes comments like the one below ( having // by itself catches the eye of StyleCop) // // fileNameTextBox // If I make a change to the text, and then open the designer again, and screws up my previously perfected fruits of hard labor. How did / would you solve this problem? I heard but did not personally experience a similar problem with WPF. How did / would you fix that? Thanks.

    Hi all, In my application, I need to add this functionality that there should be an arrow image upside down placed before first cell and some text like "Pull down to refresh" and when user pulls the table beyond this then this arrow gets inverted and text changes to "Release to refresh" and when the user releases his finger, the data is refreshed and rows get added to that point So now this initial arrow and text moves upwards before the first cell again. Can anybody tell me wheather there's any event that does this? Or else which event I need to capture in order to add this functionality? Thanks in advance.

    I have the following Model: Entities: Product (Contains basic data for products: price, etc) Attribute (Contains data for all possible optional attributes) ProductAttribute (Contains data for optional attributes of a product, eg. Color, Model, Size). ProductAttribute is essentially a many to many relationship with payload (ProductId, AttributeID, Value) And this piece of code: private static void ListAttributes(Product p) { p.ProductAttributes.Load(); foreach (var att in p.ProductAttributes) { att.Attribute.load(); Console.WriteLine("\tAttribute Name:{0} - Value {1}", att.Attribute.Name, att.AttributeValue); } } This piece of code will fire a query for each time the att.Attribute.Load() method is called in the foreach loop, only so i can get display the name of the attribute. I would like to fetch the Attribute.Name together with the query that fetches all attribute values, i.e. join ProductAttribute and Attribute. Is there any way to achieve this within my method?

  • How to copy and paste code with retaining the format

    This question may have been asked before but I was unable to find any solution. So here goes: When I browse and see some code that I would like to copy I simply use ctrl+c and ctrl+v. Most of the time this works fine. But in some cases (websites like stackoverflow and others ) when I copy the code and paste it , it only comes on one line in eclipse. I have tried pasting this code into eclipse and select all and hitting auto format but this doesnt help either. I have also pasted the code into komodo and word. But to no avail. The code simply refuses to align itself. Does anyone know any solution to this?
