Eclipse does not refresh project files in package explorer view

Today I see a strange behaviour of Eclipse 3.5.2 for the first time in 3 months. First, when I run a main function, it runs a previously compiled version. Let's say I press Ctrl+F11 in the window with an open java class and existing main function. Usually it rebuilds the class and runs a new version. Today even if there was a compile mistake, it would run fine. So I guess it does not recompile the class. Next, more strangely, if I intentionally make a mistake in the code and Eclipse underlines those lines in red, still the project Explorer does not mark them as containing errors. They remain of grey color if there were not any errors. First I did not know how to solve this problem. I tried to reopen the project, restart Eclipse and finally reboot the OS. After the tenth attempt, after rebooting, Eclipse said that all project's files are "OUT OF SYNC with the file system". When I pressed "Refresh" - F5 on a project's header name in Project Explorer it finally marked all the files with errors as containing errors and running the main function gave the desired result. An hour of my work passed and this happened again , with the other project. All the same. No marking of files as red, running no matter what old version of class with no compile errors. And since Eclipse does not tell that files are out of sync, simply pressing F5 on a project cannot help. What can you suggest?

Custom Cocoa Framework and a problem using it

Hello, I made a custom cocoa framework just to experiment and find the best way to make one but ran in to a problem using it. The framework project builds and compiles just fine, but when I use it in an xcode project I get the error, 'LogTest' undeclared. jQuery ui Accordion degrades in IE6 or IE7, but is working in IE8

There are two accordions on my page, with custom accordion CSS in another file, differentiated by class and ID names so as not to conflict with each other. The accordions don't show up at all, they just degrade to showing all the content at once, as if all the accordion styling is gone. The accordions are both called around the middle of the page, and there's no difference if they are loaded with $(document).ready. What should I check for in the CSS files? There are no inline-block uses. I am using jQuery 1.3.2.min and jQuery ui 1.7.2, so I'm assuming the autoHeight set to false won't make a difference... This is being used inside a Symfony-based site. Works fine in FF, IE8, Chrome. How do I add a URL parameter to redirected login page using JSF 2.0

I have a question about session timeouts and JSF 2. I have my exception handler working exactly the way everyone prefers but I need to pass a value to the login page. For example, I have a typical login URL - www.acme.com/?companyId=company14 which in turn presents company14 with their own custom login page (using their logo). After they enter the application and do a bit of work, they read an email or 2. The session times out and a session timeout page is shown instructing the user to click Ok to proceed to the login page. How do I add ?companyId=company14 to the URL? I can hardcode it in the exception handler by using this: requestMap.put("companyId", "company14"); and then referring to it on the viewExpired.xhtml page: <h:panelGrid id="expiredGrid" columns="1"> <f:facet name="header"> <h:outputText id="outExpireMsg" value="Your session has expired"/> </f:facet> <h:outputText id="outReqMessage" value="Reloading the page will require login."/> <h:outputText value=""/> <h:button id="okButton" type="submit" value="Ok" outcome="login?companyId=#{companyId}"/> </h:panelGrid> The issue is I can't seem to save the companyId anywhere without it getting wiped out by the session timeout. RSS feed created with PHP only shows the title in the feed reader

I am using the following PHP code to generate the XML for an RSS feed, but it doesn't seem to be working correctly. No short description is displayed in the feed reader, all I see is the title of the article. Also, all of the articles say they were published at the same time. Is it legal to have SOAP envelopes with different namespaces between the request and response?

I'm new to SOAP and web services, and I'm getting an error I don't understand. Using soapUI, I'm sending the following request: <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:doc="http://myproj.mycompany.com"> <soapenv:Header/> <soapenv:Body>... and getting this response: <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope"> <soap:Body>... I know the service is getting the info, because things are happening properly down the line. However, my soapUI teststep fails. It has two active assertions: "SOAP Response" and "Not SOAP Fault." The failure marker is next to "SOAP Response," with the following message: line -1: Element Envelope@http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope is not a valid Envelope@http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/ document or a valid substitution. So far, I have tried modifying the URLs and namespaces of the messages to match each other, and adding the following line: <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope" substitutionGroup="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"/> Is this namespace mixing legal? Stack Overflow on Marshal.PtrToStructure reading wmv files

Hi, I'm using a frame grabber class in order to capture and process each frame in a video. The class can be found here: http://www.codeproject.com/KB/graphics/FrameGrabber.aspx I'm having issues with running it, however. When loading the file, it attempts to marshal a video format pointer into a VideoInfoHeader (I'm using DirectShow.Net). The code that does this is as follows: videoInfo = (VideoInfoHeader)Marshal.PtrToStructure(mediaType.formatPtr, typeof(VideoInfoHeader)); When I run this it immediately crashes out of the debugging environment, probably with a stack overflow. When stepping through I can see that the formatPtr always equals 93, though I do not know what to make of this as I am fairly new to marshalling. I have checked that the video runs fine in Windows Media Player. This is essential in finding the dimensions of the video and also the size of the header, which needs to be skipped before the frames can be read. I am running Windows 7 x64. Any help on this would be much appreciated, I must've tried fifteen different frame grabbing techniques.

Object not declared in scope

I'm using Xcode for C++ on my computer while using Visual Studio at school. The following code worked just fine in Visual Studio, but I'm having this problem when using Xcode. clock c1(2, 3, 30); Everything works just fine, but it keeps giving me this error that says "Expected ';' before 'c1'" Fine, I put the ';' .. but then, it gives me this error: "'c1' was not declared in this scope" Here's the whole header code: #include <iostream> using namespace std; class clock { private: int h; int m; int s; public: clock(int hr, int mn, int sec); }; clock::clock(int hr, int mn, int sec) { h = hr; m = mn; s = sec; } Here's the whole .cpp code: #include "clock.h" int main() { clock c1(2, 3, 30); return 0; } I stripped everything down to where I had the problem. Ruby page loading very very slowly - how should I speed it up?

Hey guys, I'm going to try and describe the code in my view, without actually posting all the garbage: It has a standard shell (header, footer etc. in the layout) this is also where the sub navigation exists which is based on a loop (to find the amount of options) - on this page, we have 6 subnav links. Then in the index view, we have a 3rd level nav - with 3 links that use javascript to link/hide divs on the page. This means each of those original 6 options, all have their own 3'rd level nav, with each of their own 3 div pages. These three pages/divs have the input form for creating a record in rails, and then the other 2 pages show the records in different assortments. ALL of this code lives on one page (aside from the shell). The original sub nav uses a javascript tab solution, to browse through all of it... (this means its about 6 divs, which all contain 4 divs of function - so about 24 heavy divs). Loading it seems to take forever, although after loaded its extremely fast (obviously). My big question, is how should I attack this? I don't know ajax - although I imagine it'd be a good solution for loading the tabs when clicked. Thanks! Elliot

trackPageView on Google Analytics for iPhone Not Working

I'm trying to get Google Analytics working on an iPhone application without much luck. I've followed all the instructions on their website (google/apis/analytics/docs/tracking/mobileAppsTracking.html) and studied their sample application (google/gaformobileapps/GoogleAnalyticsIphone_0.7.tar.gz). When I run my application and go to Google Analytics' website (https://www.google.com/analytics/reporting/), the only page that is recording is /app_entry_point. I'm seeing one count in my Google Analytics detailed report once every time my app fires up. However, I have added other pages to be tracked but it's not working. Here is a sample of two pages I've added to be tracked: trackPageview:@"/calculator"; trackPageview:@"/tellafriend"; I call them from various ViewControllers in the app. In each of those view controllers I import the the GANTracker header: #import "GANTracker.h" I'll admit it: I'm an objective-c newbie. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated! Do I need to physically dispatch them to get the trackPageview working? If so, why is the /app_entry_point page the only page that is recorded by Google Analytics?

What is wrong with my Basic Authentication in my Browser?

Hi folks, i'm trying to goto the following url :- http://user1:pass1@localhost:1234/api/users?format=xml nothing to complex. Notice how i've got the username/password in the url? this, i believe, is for basic authentication. When I do that, the Request Headers are MISSING the 'Authorize' header. Er... that's not right :( I have anonymous authentication only setup on the site. I don't want to have anon off and basic turned on .. because not all of the site requires basic.. only a few action methods. So .. why is this not working? Is this something to do with the fact my code is not sending a 401 challenge or some crap? For What It's Worth, my site is ASP.NET MVC1 running on IIS7 (and the same thing happens when i run it on cassini). Update: If this is an illegal way of calling a resource using basic auth (ala security flaw) .. then is this possible to do, for an ASP.NET MVC website .. per action method (and not the entire site, per say)?

Grouped UITableView Footer Sometimes Hidden On Quick Scroll

OK, this one is a puzzler. There is one similar post but it's not similar enough to count, so I'm posting this one. :) I've got a grouped UITableView with a header and footer. The footer includes two UIButton views, side-by-side. Nothing major. Now … there is a toggle button in a UIToolbar at the bottom for more/less info in this table view. So I build my index paths to delete/insert with fade row animation, all the usual ingredients, sandwiched between beginUpdates and endUpdates calls on the UITableView … and this works fine! In also happens that my footer can sometimes be pushed off past the bottom of the display. Here's where it gets weird. If I drag my finger up the display, scrolling the view upward, I should see that footer eventually, right? Well … most of the time I do. BUT, if I flick my finger up, for a faster scroll, the footer is missing. Even if you try to tap in that area - no response. However, if I scroll back down again, just to hide that footer (or rather hide the area where the footer would normally be), and then scroll back up, it's there once again! This only happens when inserting rows. If I delete rows, the footer stays put … unless of course it was already hidden and I didn't perform the aforementioned incantation to get it back. :) I am trying to trace through this, but to no avail. I suppose tracing through scroll operations is a bit of a crazy proposition! Perhaps some creative logging … suggestions, anyone? Or is this a known issue in 3.1 where row insert/deletes are concerned? (I don't recall seeing it until 3.1.)

Adding libraries to a project in xcode - symbols not found

I am trying to make an iphone app in xcode that uses pjsip. The problem is I don't know how to link the libraries. Static variable not initialized

Hi all, I've got a strange problem with a static variable that is obviously not initialized as it should be. I have a huge project that runs with Windows and Linux. As the Linux developer doesn't have this problem I would suggest that this is some kind of wired Visual Studio stuff. Header file class MyClass { // some other stuff here ... private: static AnotherClass* const Default_; }; CPP file AnotherClass* const Default_(new AnotherClass("")); MyClass(AnotherClass* const var) { assert(Default_); ... } Problem is that Default_is always NULL. I also tried a breakpoint at the initialization of that variable but I cannot catch it. There is a similar problem in another class. CPP file std::string const MyClass::MyString_ ("someText"); MyClass::MyClass() { assert(MyString_ != ""); ... } In this case MyString_is always empty. So again not initialized. Does anyone have an idea about that? Is this a Visual Studio settings problem? Cheers Simon

iPhone - UIViewController not rotating when device orientation changes

I have got my own custom UIViewController, which contains a UIScrollView with an UIImageView as it's subview. I would like to make the image to auto rotate when device orientation changes, but it doesn't seem to be working... In the header file, I've got; @interface MyViewController : UIViewController <UIScrollViewDelegate> { IBOutlet UIScrollView *containerView; UIImageView *imageView; } These components are initialised in the loadView function as below; containerView = [[UIScrollView alloc] initWithFrame:frame]; NSData *data = [NSData dataWithContentsOfURL:[NSURL URLWithString:@"http://..."]]; UIImage *image = [[UIImage alloc] initWithData:data]; imageView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:image]; [image release]; [containerView addSubview:imageView]; And I have added the following method, assuming that's all I need to make the view auto-rotate... -(BOOL)shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation)interfaceOrientation { return YES; } MyViewController loads fine with the image I've specified to grab from the URL, and the shouldAutorotate... function is being called, with the correct UIInterfaceOrientation, when I flip the device too. However, didRotateFromInterfaceOrientation method do not get called, and the image doesn't seem to rotate itself... Could someone please point out what I need to add, or what I have done wrong here? Help with php code - need to add condition to make one link https

Hi, I have a wordpress blog and I need to make one of the pages secure. I have been told to make the link to that page point to https://claimpage.html as opposed to http://claimpage.html. The problem is I don't actually create the menu that links the user to the individual pages. This is done automatically by the code in the background. I think I need to put in some sort of an IF statement, saying, if the title of the page is "claim now" then use https otherwise use http. Twitter OAuth, Error when trying to POST direct message.

So I am building a java script that is used in conjunction of my C++ application for sending direct messages to users. the script does the work of building the request that i send. When i send a request i receive "Incorrect signature" or "can not authenticate you" Does anyone see something i am missing or am doing wrong? I am continuing to investigate. sIFR - getting a:hover to work in navigation list

Hi, I am currently struggling with sIFR and a:hover. My problem site is hosted at http://irene.huditsch.info I have the following HTML code: <body id="irene-huditsch-info"> <div id="header"> <h1>Irene Huditsch</h1> <div id="top-nav"> <ul> <li id="impressum"> <a href="impressum.html" rel="index">Impressum</a> </li> <li id="kontakt"> <a href="kontakt.html">Kontakt</a> </li> </ul> </div> ... My sIFR-config.js looks like: sIFR.replace(braganza, { selector: 'div#top-nav a', css: '.sIFR-root { background-color: transparent; color: #FFFFFF; line-height: 13px; font-size: 11px; text-decoration: underline; cursor: pointer; } .sIFR-root:hover { color: #592b02; }', wmode: 'transparent' }); But the hover doesn't take effect. I tried different solution with no success either. When I write sIFR.replace(braganza, { selector: 'div#top-nav li', css: 'a { background-color: transparent; color: #FFFFFF; line-height: 13px; font-size: 11px; text-decoration: underline; cursor: pointer; } a:hover { color: #592b02; }', wmode: 'transparent' }); (which seems logical to me), the list items are not rendered at all. Could you please give me an advice how to do it correctly with the structure given? Thanks, Roman

I read here about std::auto_ptr<::operator= Notice however that the left-hand side object is not automatically deallocated when it already points to some object. You can explicitly do this by calling member function reset before assigning it a new value. PHP-SDK too many redirects

I'm using the PHP-SDK for Facebook and got the example to work on my localhost. However, when building a script on a server the script stays quite busy with redirecting from my script to facebook and back. (Error: Fout 310 (net::ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS):) It seems that many more people have got this issue (here, here, here, here). Though, I can't find a clear answer what goes wrong. Suckerfish Menu Not Working. Nested UL not displaying block

I'm going out of my mind with this one. I'm trying to build a suckerfish css drop down menu. I have the first level working ok but I can't get the nested ul (under the Glossary tab) to display in block format and show my a background color. CSS: Margin-top when parent's got no border

Hi, As you can see in this picture, I've got an orange div inside a green div with no top border. The orange div has a 30px top margin, but it's also pushing the green div down. Of course, adding a top border will fix the issue, but I need the green div to be top borderless.
