• Getting XML parse error in coldfusion. Can the packet returned be validated?

  Getting an error on occasion on a specific CF page. Offending code listed below. Very odd because when I rebooted CF it went away. Can the XML be checked via XMLValidate to prevent this from happening? Is this some sort of CF bug since the error disappeared after reboot of CF? I have a feeling that the error will resurface at some point. An error occured while Parsing an XML document.   While trying to use linq in a .NET 2.0 winforms project I got: Namespace or type specified in the Imports 'System.Linq' doesn't contain any public member or cannot be found. Make sure the namespace or the type is defined and contains at least one public member. Make sure the imported element name doesn't use any aliases In both the lines that reference the following namespaces: System.Linq; System.Xml.Linq; How could I get these namespaces to work on .NET 2.0 without referencing an external DLL or anything ?

  I'm working on an OSGi-based application that uses org.osgi.service.http.HttpService which does not support the use of Servlet Filters. Before I realised that I wouldn't be able to use Servlet Filters I was planning to apply a couple of existing Filters. These Filters set the appropriate HTTP headers to: prevent caching of responses control rendering in IE8 with the X-UA-Compatible header What are my options here? I don't want to use meta elements to control caching since that technique is unreliable. Using a meta element to set the X-UA-Compatible header is probably acceptable, but I'd still be interested in alternative approaches.

  I'm having a bit of trouble with the client-side validation in the ASP.NET MVC 2 framework and hope someone can help me out. In several situations I find it useful to be able to reset the contents of a form or just a single input element and I need any validation errors to disappear. This in itself is not very hard, and the suggestion provided here works well enough: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2798427/how-do-i-clear-mvc-client-side-validation-errors-when-a-cancel-button-is-clicked The problem is that, when triggered, client validation goes into an aggressive mode that performs validation on each key press and when an input loses focus. • Raphael js library: problems with animateAlong in IE7

  Hi there, I'm having trouble making a simple shape move along a path in IE7 (the only version of IE I tried, actually). The following code works fine in chrome and firefox, but not IE. I couldn't find an obvious reason, has anybody seen something similar? canvas.path(rPath.path).attr("stroke", "blue"); var circle = canvas.circle(rPath.startX, rPath.startY, 5); circle.animateAlong(rPath.path, 3000, true); My rPath variable has the path and the starting point coordinates. Microsoft script debugger points to this line as the one where the code breaks: os.left != (t = x - left + "px") && (os.left = t); (line 2131 inside the uncompressed raphael.js script file, inside Element[proto].setBox = function (params, cx, cy) {...}) Any ideas? • Best way to implement a Parsing/Editable Richtextbox in WPF

  I'm trying to implement (as a prototype initially), a richtextbox control which can be parsed in real time to apply certain formatting options to it. This is being done in WPF so I thought the best way to go about it would be to extend the existing rich text box control. I've run into the issue where it isn't documented well and the examples are quite slow (the ones I found have parse the whole document on every keystroke). The way I've currently decided to go about it is to create a custom Inline element which can hold the formatting tags, and the contents. Hence I only have to parse the current paragraph and the runs in that paragraph for formatting tags. Is there a better way to achieve this? Note this isn't for code/syntax based documents (so AvalonEdit isn't appropriate). Cheers

• Scheduling Swingworker threads

  Hi, I have a 2 processes to perform in my swing application, one to fill a list, and one to do operations on each element on the list. I've just moved the 2 processes into Swingworker threads to stop the GUI locking up while the tasks are performed, and because I will need to do this set of operations to several lists, so concurrency wouldn't be a bad idea in the first place. However, when I just ran fillList.execute();doStuffToList.execute(); the doStuffToList thread to ran on the empty list (duh...). How do I tell the second process to wait until the first one is done? I suppose I could just nest the second process at the end of the first one, but i dunno, it seems like bad practice.

• IDataServiceMetadataProvider / ResourceType.... what for dynamic types with no CLR type?

  Hello, I try to expose a database via ADO RIA for which we have only an ODBC based interface. The "database" is a server and new elements are developped all the time, so I would like the server to check metadata at start (using the odbc schema methods) and then expose what he finds via RIA services.... clients can the nregenerate when they need access to new elements. As such, I dont ahve any CLR types for all the tabled developped. ResourceType tableType = new ResourceType( typeof(object), ResourceTypeKind.EntityType, null, "Martini", table_name, false ); tableType.CanReflectOnInstanceType = false; I can somehow not put in NULl as CLR element type, and entering typeof(object) seems to result in reflection errors when trying to access the properties. Any documentation on how to do that? I dont really want to get into having types... though if I have to, I probably will dynamically generate some via bytecode emit.

• Odd Drag and drop sorting error Rails for nested attributes

  I've got this weird bug when trying to use drag and drag for two models (one nested within another). I've a category model which has many apps. In my category index page, I tried use "content_tag_for" to sort categories and apps within each category. But for some odd reason only the first element has drag, drop enabled. I can drag and drop categories all I want, but I can't drag the app in the second category, just the first category. Copy and paste gets ridiculously hopeless with HAML, so here's a Pastie instead. I made a sample app on heroku for you to check out here. Drag and drag work for both category and app, so I'm guessing it has to do something with the ul or li. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

• Flex ANT tasks can't find my assets

  I'm attempting to compile my Flex project with an ANT build script. One of my MXML components references an external XML data file, like this: <mx:XML id="treeData" source="assets/data/help.xml" /> When I build the project using Flex Builder, it compiles fine. However, when I try to compile it using ANT, I get the following error: Error: Problem finding external XML: assets/data/help.xml How come ANT isn't finding the XML file? Apparently it knows the source path otherwise it would not have found the component to begin with. I added the source path to the target anyway, but it doesn't seem to have made any difference: <source-path path-element="${SRC}" /> Any ideas?

I can join it using select album from Album album join album.externalIds ids But how would I then refer to ids' key and value? ids.key.id = :foo and ids.value = :bar doesn't work, and hibernate doc is silent on this topic. • Associating Worksheets with their Names using OpenXML SDK 1.0

  I'm using version 1.0 of Microsoft's OpenXML SDK to do some basic parsing of .xlsx files. I can get and parse the worksheets, and I can get a list of worksheet names, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to link up what name goes with what worksheet. I understand that an element like <sheet name="My Sheet" sheetId="1" r:id="rId1"/> in the workbook is linked up to a specific worksheet via the relationships defined in xl/_rels.xml, but I can't see where any of the relationship info is exposed in the API. I'm using C#, but any VB.NET examples would be just as helpful. I feel like this should be dead simple, but I can't figure it out. It also looks like it may be more straightforward in v2.0 of the SDK, but upgrading isn't an option at the moment.

  What is the best way to keep track of eventListener functions on DOM elements? • jQuery ajax() function is ignoring dataType parameter in Firefox

  I'm trying to use jQuery.ajax() to fetch some html, but Firefox is giving me a "junk after document element" error message. As explained here and here the problem seems to be that Firefox is expecting XML from the server, and when it doesn't parse correctly it throws the error. Here's my ajax code: jQuery.ajax({ url: name, dataType: "html", success: function(result) { console.log(result); }, error: function (jqXHR, textStatus, errorThrown) { console.log(errorThrown); } }); The server returns the html with these response headers: Accept-Ranges bytes Content-Length 2957 Last-Modified Tue, 02 Jul 2013 16:16:59 GMT Note that there's no content-type header. I'm sure that adding one would solve the problem, but that's not an option. The real problem is that Firefox appears to be ignoring the dataType: parameter in the ajax call. I've also tried adding contentType: and accepts: parameters, but it doesn't help. What am I missing here? How do I force Firefox to process the response as plain text?

Error processing resource What is the correct way of using CDATA? I need CDATA because the data is read from Excel, and could contain illegal character such as ALT+ENTER whitespace. Please help. • Jquery.form plugin and jquery.validation and it's submitHandler not working correctly... please help

  Hello guys, I was hoping someone can shed some light on what might be occurring on my page. Okay what I currently have on my page is a simple form that collects first name, last name, city, state and email. Once submitted it will hit a PHP page that updates our DB and echo's back to the designted div with a class of .response. I am using jquery.validation and placing that dynamic function within the submitHandler like so: submitHandler: function(form) { $(form).ajaxSubmit({ target: '.response', // target element(s) to be updated with server response resetForm: true, success: function() { $('#commentform').hide(); $('.response').show(); } }); So what I am getting is a div that is not being populated with the echo from my php file in FF and in IE I am getting the message of thank you but the page is taking me to the update.php script in which I have the form action pointing to. • Applescript access to last.fm app via application icon in menu bar

  Hi, I want to create an Applescript to drive the last.fm player app. I'm trying to do this via last.fm application icon in the menu bar rather than using the main application menus, as this approach (I think) won't cause last.fm to switch to the foreground. The overall plan is to bind my script to a quicksilver trigger so I can stop|start|skip|love|ban|tag tracks from the keyboard. My problem is I can't find what UI element to bind the applescript to. I've used UI Browser to scan through the UI object model but it draws a blank with the last.fm icon in the menu bar. Any thoughts appreciated.

  I have warnings in binding xml files: No grammar constraints (DTD or XML schema) detected for the document. I have done as is written in the answer here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/982263/jibx-how-do-i-keep-using-interfaces-in-my-code (answer which is not accepted). But now I have an error in binding xml file: Referenced file contains errors (file:/C:/Amplio/LiveCliq/Work/core/src/main/resources/config/rest/ mappings/binding.dtd). For more information, right click on the message in the Problems View and select "Show Details..." And the details are: The markup in the document preceding the root element must be well-formed. line 20 I am not familiar with DTD schemas, so I don't know what is the problem. Did anybody found the solution? And - I do not want to turn off validation in XML files, I would like to have this in binding files (mainly for code assist and validation).
