I'm trying to convert an old Delphi program I wrote into Java to compile and run on my Android phone. I'm running the Android 2.1 operating system but am using version 1.6 of the SDK.
I have a routine in Delphi where I set the colour of pixels on a canvas individually along the lines of:
image1.canvas.pixels[x, y] := GetMyTColor(x, y);
Is there a Java equivalent to the property on the Canvas:
property Pixels[X, Y: Integer]: TColor
Can multitouch events be tested on Android Emulator ? Or is there any way to test this without actual device ? I am using 2.0 sdk and want to test zoom-in zoom-out on by two fingers.
Is there a way out ?
I'd like to write a test script or program that asserts that all dlls in a given directory are of a particular build type.
I would use this as a sanity check at the end of a build process on an sdk to make sure that the 64bit version hasn't somehow got some 32bit dlls in it and vice versa.
Is there an easy way to look at a dll file and determine its type?
The solution should work on both xp32 and xp64.
Hi Guys,
I'm constructing a geolocation based application and I'm trying to figure out a way to make my application realise when a user is facing the direction of the given location (a particular long / lat co-ord). I've done some Googling and checked the SDK but can't really find anything for such a thing. Does anyone know of a way?
I was able to play the audio in background of the application in iPhone. However I would like to know if there is any service that enables the playback of audio after the user exits the application?
I know that SDK 4.0 promises multitasking and background processes of the application. But i would like to know if this is enabled for audio playback in the earlier versions?
I've been trying to upload a user profile picture during the user registration using Service 3 and so far I haven't had any luck. I tested passing a hard coded fid in the field "picture" and also tried to pass the fields "filemime", "filename", etc. and it didn't work neither.
Any idea about what fields I need to populate?
I guess it must be related to this post Using Drupal Services and DIOS SDK for setting user picture in iOS app
but it doesn't have and answer neither.
Is it possible to modify the Codec List Object in an ASF file? In particular, I would like to edit the codec name and description. I realize that this won't actually change the content of the video, but it's necessary for the video to be verified by an external tool.
Does anyone know of a tool that will allow me to do this? If not, does anyone have any suggestions about how I might go about doing it using the Windows Media Format 11 SDK?
I've got a DirectShow project where I want to capture and stream to a webserver. I have seen how to capture and create a file, but I'm looking for ideas on how to capture into something like a MemoryStream to transport through a NetworkStream. I'm also using the library DirectShowLib for the ability to write in C# if that makes any difference. Of if there is a sample that I overlooked in the SDK I would greatly appreciate the direction. Thanks in advance.
I am using the Silverlight sdk for Bing Maps. I have my map, I have my PushPins all mapped out. Now I want to disable the user from zooming out so far they see the whole world and keep it constricted to the just the US. It would be nice if there was something simple like Map.MaxZoom but there is not. Any help?
I have a table with a Screen on it underneath there are 2 mouses I need to determin the position of the table. This will manipulate the content on the screen. I already can get the mouse input using the multipoint SDK from microsoft, I only keep failing at the mathemathics. My question now is, how would you determine the position of the table using 2 mouses?
I'm trying to add new google-play-services_lib in my old project,
due to which R.jave file is removed from the project.
Also, as soon as i remove google-play-services_lib, i get my R.java file back.
minimum sdk version is 11.
I'm referring to following link:
https://developer.android.com/google/play-services/setup.html
I am following these steps to add library as a project ==
Right-click on My project - Properties In Android-Library section click Add select recently added project - Ok
then aapt.exe has stopped working and R.jave file is removed from the project
In Xamarin I've got a .jar I've imported using a Java Binding Library. One of the callbacks has a Java.Lang.Object parameter which gives me Java.Util.HashMap and Java.Util.ArrayList at runtime. I'm abstracting this SDK behind a cross-platform interface, so I need to convert this to a .NET type. It there anything like the ArrayAdapter except in reverse that can convert the Java types to their .NET equivalents?
I'm having some issues in allocating memory for an array dynamically in C++ within Qt SDK ... Here's for I'm doing:
int dx = 5;
QPoint * qPoint;
qPoint = new QPoint[dx+1];
However when I try to debug the code, the programs just crashes when it tries to execute the third line .... any clues ?
This file appears to be in a binary XML format. What is this format and how can it be parsed programmatically (as opposed to using the aapt dump tool in the SDK)?
This binary format is not discussed in the in the documentation here: http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/manifest/manifest-intro.html
Note: I want to access this information from outside the Android environment, preferably from Java.
I'm creating a custom keyboard layout. The SDK allows changing the width of keys in a row (as in ThickButtons), but ideally I'd like to be able to vary both the height and width of keys within a row (and still have the keys occupy all the available space.)
Another way of looking at this is that I want to allow some keys to be in more than one contiguous row. Any ideas would help. Thank you.
I need to determine if a mediaplayer is using the opencore media framework, so that I can disable seeking for my streams. The opencore framework appears to fail silently with seeking, which I am having a hard time believing they allowed into production, but that seems the case nonetheless.
I wish it were as simple as determining their SDK version, but droid phones that have api 8 seem to use opencore still, so doesn't seem to be a good option. Any ideas?
I have no real need for the entire SDK, my project involves mainly JS and CSS on an ePub structure. My fiend lend me his MacBook on which I'm typing now.
I can create everything on a PC box, import to the MacBook and than test it on the emulator.
So - how do I install an iPad emulator on a MacBook ?
Thank you for your assistance.
Are there are any libraries that are available for visualizing graphs for iphone sdk? Something like this. There is no need for any animation. Simple laying out of graph is fine. Any pointers are appreciated!
Is there a way to draw on the iPhone screen (on a UIView in a UIWindow) outside of that view's drawRect() method? If so, how do I obtain the graphics context?
The graphics guide mentions class NSGraphicsContext, but the relevant chapter seems like a blind copy/paste from Mac OS X docs, and there's no such class in iPhone SDK.
I am tyring to use Objective C blocks on an iPhone 3.3 app but am getting a linkage error:
"_NSConcreteGlobalBlock," referenced from:
Any ideas as to whether blocks are supported in the iPhone 3.3 SDK? I found conflicting reports on the internet.
Forget screenshots, is it posible to capture a video of the running application in android?
Rooted or non-rooted, I don't care, I want atleast 15fps.
Update: I don't want any external hardware. The intent is to make it perfectly portable and every frame is captured within Android OS. If it crosses the boundaries of the app sdk, I'm willing to go to OS level modifications but I would need a starting point.
