  • Replace this Hex chars from string in PHP

    I'm generating an XML from data that comes from database (and some JSON feeds). I'm having some problems with some texts that contains some hex chars that are breaking my XML. For example, see this screenshot of the error I get from Chrome: I identified the hex characters that are giving me problems (I believe they're called control characters). And these are: 0x03 0x05 0x16 0x0E How can I replace those characters with PHP before printing them on my XML output? Thanks!

  • PHP: Class to parse OGG and .ogv files?

    I am looking for a php class that can parse ogg and .ogv files so that I can get some of the metadata out of the files, such as comments, bitrate, length, etc. I have found this: http://opensource.grisambre.net/ogg/ but after testing it, it does not seem to parse and of the files that I test it with. Has anyone had luck with an alternative? I would use getID3(), but it does not support ogg video.

    I want to send files through php using readfile() What i've noticed is that readfile forces a download, but what if i want to show an image in the browser and not force a download? Would readfile still force download even if the file is an image? If it does, is there a solution so i can use tags with it when the file is an image? Thanks!

Since I live in Idaho where an area code is not needed for in-state calls, many of my contacts were saved without an area code. Since I have thousands of contacts stored in my phone, it would not be practical to manually update them. I decided to write the following PHP script to handle the problem.     Hello, My application gets configured via a lot of key/values (let's say 30.000 for instance) I want to find the best deployment method for these configurations, knowing that I want to avoid DEFINEs to allow for runtime re-configuration. I have thought of - pre-compiling them into an array via a php file - pre-compiling them into a tmpfs sqlite database - pre-compiling them into a memcached db what are my options for the best random access time to these configuration (memory is not an issue) ?     Hi, I have a php login which sets 2 cookies once some one login. the problem is that if you login from : http://www.mydomain.com and you go to http://mydomain.com you will find your self not logged in, I think that's because the browser only send the cookies to the first syntax. It's only one domain, the difference is the www. before the domain name, so how to set cookies to the whole domain whatever there is www. or not ? Thanks
