    How do I revert from my current state to a snapshot made on a certain commit?   • What action is my Symfony/Doctrine generated form actually going to?

    In my Symfony 1.4 project I am using the doctrine:generate-admin task to create the modules that compose my backend system. One such module is "journeys". When I view the source of the "journeys/new" page (which displays the form to create a new journey entity) the action of the form is simply "journeys" (I expected it to be "journeys/create"). The "journeys" route on its own would call the executeIndex method - however I put a log call in there and upon form submission, the log is not made. So this leads me to believe that executeIndex is NOT being called, and another piece of code is being fired upon form submission that then (depending on a hidden input in the form) calls either executeCreate() or executeUpdate(). Problem is, I don't know where that would be happening. Any insight would be much appreciated.   • How do I create a list of timedeltas in python?

    I've been searching through this website and have seen multiple references to time deltas, but haven't quite found what I'm looking for. Basically, I have a list of messages that are received by a comms server and I want to calcuate the latency time between each message out and in. It looks like this: 161336.934072 - TMsg out: [O] enter order. RefID [123] OrdID [4568] 161336.934159 - TMsg in: [A] accepted. ordID [456] RefNumber [123] Mixed in with these messages are other messages as well, however, I only want to capture the difference between the Out messages and in messages with the same RefID. So far, to sort out from the main log which messages are Tmessages I've been doing this, but it's really inefficient. I don't need to be making new files everytime.: big_file = open('C:/Users/kdalton/Documents/Minicomm.txt', 'r') small_file1 = open('small_file1.txt', 'w') for line in big_file: if 'T' in line: small_file1.write(line) big_file.close() small_file1.close() How do I calculate the time deltas between the two messages and sort out these messages from the main log?

    Hi, due to testing and time measuring i have to write some kind of log into existing c# winforms code in Visual Studio 2010. I want to hold the changes and the work very small so my question is about replacing text in my call by counting numbers. Lets say i want to past a line like Log.WriteLine(position) many times in the code and then replace "position" with numbers starting from 1 to n in on turn.     Hi all. I have issue about multiple login in asp.net. Case this happen: User X login as "user1" in web browser. Then user Y also login as "user1" also in another web browser. User Y got error message "Another user log in some account". That is work as expected. If X, close their web browser. Then try again to login in as "user1". X get also get "Another user log in some account". So i trying debug then i found session is remove when web browser is close, but cache still remaining in web browser. Anyone have idea about this how to clear cache when user close their browser, (not tab). Regard.

  • My php project work properly on local server but does not work properly when I put it online on the web server, WHY?

    I'm working on a php project.. And I started building the admin login system and have already finished it and it works properly on my machine (local server) where I'm developing the project.. But when I moved it to a (web server) it didn't work properly as it was working on (local server). the problem that showed up is that when the admin get authentication to log in to the admin area, once he clicks any link in the page or even he reloads the page that page disappear and the login page appear again which mean the admin forced to log out even he didn't.

    I keep running into situations where I don't know what event I have to listen to in order to execute my code at the correct time. Is there any way to get a log of all events that is raised? Any way to filter that log based on what object raised the event?   • Exponential volume control with a specified midpoint

    I have a slider that returns values from 0 to 100. I am using this to control the gain of an oscillator. When the slider is at 0, I would like the gain to be 0.0 When the slider is at 50, I would like the gain to be 0.1 When the slider is at 100, I would like the gain to be 0.5 So I need to find an equation to get a smooth curve which passes through all of these points. I've got the following equation which gives an exponential curve and gets the start and end points correct, but I don't know how to force the curve through the middle point.     Currently I have a static class that I use as my logging module. I’ve added the class to my visual studio solution. Within the class I’ve specified the name and location of the log file to use. Which lets me do stuff like this – which I like and want. Logger.Information(“Page_Load”,”controls loaded correctly”); I’d like to refactor the code and move the logging functionality into a separately compiled assembly, if I did this I would then need to pass in the log file name and location to save the files too. However I don’t want to have to supply this information every time I call the ‘Logging’ method, this would be bad... Logger.Informtaion(“Page_Load”,”controls loaded correctly”,”logfile.txt”,”c:\temp”); Is there any way I can supply this information without having to specify it within each page or via the method call.

  • Calculating statistics directly from a CSV file

    I have a transaction log file in CSV format that I want use to run statistics. The log has the following fields: date: Time/date stamp salesperson: The username of the person who closed the sale promo: sum total of items in the sale that were promotions. amount: grand total of the sale I'd like to get the following statistics: salesperson: The username of the salesperson being analyzed. minAmount: The smallest grand total of this salesperson's transaction. avgAmount: The mean grand total.. maxAmount: The largest grand total.. minPromo: The smallest promo amount by the salesperson. avgPromo: The mean promo amount... I'm tempted to build a database structure, import this file, write SQL, and pull out the stats. I don't need anything more from this data than these stats. Is there an easier way? I'm hoping some bash script could make this easy.

  • Hard drive randomly sppeeding up

    Having a weird issue with my hard drive. Running Windows 7 with an I5 processor. At random times the hard drive will start running at top speed and gradually return to normal over the next two minutes or so. Going to Resource Monitor it shows a variety of things with high read or write numbers. Log files NTFS volume log, Windows prefetch, System/user/appdata, and Program data Norton are the usual top ones listed. This just started about three months ago although the computer is about 3 years old. Have run in safe mode with internet over the weekend going to all of my usual sites with no such speed up. Question 1 - what can be causing this? Question 2 - how can I find out where data is being sent(especially if over the net)? Thank you.

  • What's the best way to debug AJAX to PHP calls?

    I'm having a miserable time debugging one small function on my new project. Essentially I'm having a user log out via an AJAX call to my log out script on my server called "userfFunctions.php" I'm using AJAX so that I don't have the headache of writing more regex to match my mod_rewrites. Anyway, every so often, it seems as though my Post data just flat out dies and since the PHP is running behind the scenes, I feel like I have no way of finding out where the data flow is being disrupted. BTW This function works 19 hrs of the day.   • Why maven is not working in eclipse indigo?

    I'm trying to make a simple log in/ log out web application with maven and I'm creating the project with the command: " mvn archetype:generate " and choose 341 and it'll be created with the structure below: webapp -----src/main/java -----Referenced Libraries -----Maven Dependencies -----src -----target pom.xml But when I add some dependencies and update the project something weird happening with the structure of the project according to the picture below: webapp -----src/main/java -----Referenced Libraries -----JRE System Library -----src -----target pom.xml and it's not working any more. As you can see the the first one has a Maven dependencies Library but the second one has been changed to JRE System Library. I use mac os lion and eclipse indigo. Anyone how knows why is like that?     I am writing an application, in Java, which needs to log in to a remote SOAP service (JIRA) prior to calling methods on that service. I've read that I should store the password as a char[] but still, I'm concerned about storing the password in the clear at all. How should I store the password used by my client to log into the SOAP service? And how should I read it and pass it to JIRA?

  • Why Does TFS Allow Orphaned Content and How Do I Get Rid of It?

    My TfsVersionControl database has grown to 40+ GB in size. We recently did a TFS Destroy on a folder tree that should have cleared up at least 10 GB but instead it seemed to have no effect. When I look at the tables in TfsVersionControl, I am first shocked to see that there are no foreign keys at all in the database. Running a few queries, I see that there is some orphaning going on: tbl_Content has 13.9 GB of records that don't have a related tbl_File record tbl_File and tbl_Content have 2.4 GB that don't have a related tbl_Namespace record The cleanup job seems to be running nightly (prc_DeleteUnusedContent) and running it against the database manually doesn't remove any orphans. I see in the log for the cleanup job that it failed on 3/16, which is the morning after I destroyed the large amount of data. The error was due to a full transaction log. Could that error be the reason I'm left with all this orphaned data that can't be deleted? How can I permanently destroy this unneeded content?

    I'd like to do visitor tracking similar to how stackoverflow does it.. By reading through numerous posts, I've figured out some details already: Count only 1 IP hit per 15 minutes (if anonymous) Count only 1 unique user-Login (per day?) Now that leaves the question of the real implementation.. Should I log the two factors live into a table (and increase count) | IP | timestamp | pageurl | Or do the counting AFTERWARDS (e.g. using IIS log files - which don't include the user, right? I know there're some similar posts outside, but NONE really has a great solution in my opinion yet..
