  • how to force client(winform) application to use NTLM when calling web services

    Hi, I have a winform application calling web services hosted in IIS, by default, the client app will use Kerberose for authentication to IIS, and it failed for some reasons? But the same app works fine at another PC(with different user login), and I found it is using NTLM by checking the IIS server event log. is there anyway we can change the client app(winform) authentication type?     I am using the negative-text-indent technique I learned to show a text-image to the user, while hiding the corresponding actual text. This way the user sees the fancy styled text while search engines can still index it. However I am started to think this sounds like cloaking since I am serving different content to the user vs the spider. However, I am not using this in a deceitful way. Plus it seems like this is a popular technique. So is it SEO-safe or is it cloaking? Thanks!

    I have a div element containing some text. When the user clicks a word inside that div I'd like to highlight just that word. In order to do this I need to know what character position in the text the click occurred at, so I can then locate nearby whitespace and insert some formatting around the word. Finding out where the click occurred within the text is the trick here. Is that kind of thing possible?

  • Error when calling Render method on reporting services 2008

    Hi, I've moved my web application to a new server, when it calls the render method on the reporting services 2008 web service it brings back the error "Client found response content type of '', but expected 'text/xml'. The request failed with an empty response". It works fine on my development machine. Does anyone know what might be causing this? Many thanks, Chris.

    Hi, I'm using Win32 and OpenGL to to draw text onto a window. I'm using the bitmap font method, with wglUseFontBitmaps. Here is my main rendering function: glClear(GL_COLOR_BUFFER_BIT); glPushMatrix(); glColor3f(1.0f, 0.0f, 1.0f); glBegin(GL_QUADS); glVertex2f(0.0f, 0.0f); glVertex2f(128.0f, 0.0f); glVertex2f(128.0f, 128.0f); glVertex2f(0.0f, 128.0f); glEnd(); glPopMatrix(); glPushMatrix(); glColor3f(1.0f, 1.0f, 1.0f); glRasterPos2i(200, 200); glListBase(fontList); glCallLists(5, GL_UNSIGNED_BYTE, "Test."); glPopMatrix(); SwapBuffers(hDC); As you can see it's very simple and the only thing that it's supposed to do is draw a quadrilateral and draw the text "Test.". But the problem is that drawing a polygon seems to mess up any text operations I try to do after it. If I place the text drawing functions before the polygon, both the text and the polygon draw fine. Is there something I'm missing here? Any help is appreciated.

(example) John Doe Alex Smith Bob Denver I know how to import a text file via phpMyAdmin however, as far as I understand, I need to import data that has the same number of fields as the target table.   • Zedgraph textobj X location depends on text length?

    I have a Zedgraph textobj which I want to place always in the same x, y position (ASP.NET image). I noticed that the text doesn't always show in the same starting x position. It shifts depending on the text's length. I tried to have the text to have the same length by padding it with spaces. It helped a little but the result is not always consistent. I am using PaneFraction for coordType. What's the proper method to have a piece of text to always show in the same x position. I am using textobj as a title because the native title property always shows up centered and I need my title be left aligned to the graph.

    I'm trying to make a radio group specifying a bunch of options, and an extra option "other" with a text input to specify. The code for this particular radio button I'm using is <input type='radio' name='RadioInput' value='Other' id='RadioInput_Other' /> <label for='RadioInput_Other'>Ohter: <input type='text' name='RadioInput_Other_Value' id='RadioInput_Other_Value' value='' /> </label> The idea is that if you give focus to the text input, the radio button corresponding to it is selected. The code above almost does this (since the text input is inside the label). However, it also shifts focus to the radio button (which is annoying, since whatever you type next is lost). Is there any way to prevent this using XHTML1.0 / CSS2? Preferably without using javascript.

Now according to my project requirements content in textbox should only be 0-9 and a-f (hexadecimal values) and textbox should take the input based on hexadecimal values. Demonstratation: 12 ab 32 a5 64 Now if my cursor is at the end and i go on pressing backspace, it shud remove the values as it happens in a general text box. Now If my cursor is at the beginning of a5, and i press "delete key", the value should become like: 12 ab 32 56 4 If my cursor is at the end of a5 and i press the 'delete key" nothing should happen.     I have this code in jquery to prevent non-numeric characters being inputted to the text field $("#NumericField").numeric(); Now, on the text field i cant input non-numeric characters. That is OK. The problem here is if the user will paste on the text field with non numeric characters. Is there a way/method to disable pasting if the value is non-numeric? Or is there any other approach to handle this situation that you can share?

I found DrawText and TextOut functions, but the text they show is flickering and don't know how to set the font and text orientation (I will need vertical text orientation as well as horizontal).   • Crystal report - Conversion from text to decimal ?

    I have a crystal report, which takes data from an XML template. For a particular field of report, say 'Cost' the database stored procedure send data to XSD file in decimal format , but when the crystal report displays data picking from XSD, it is rounded off. When i right click on other data fields of report, I can see 'Field:table1.columnname',. But when i click on 'Cost' field, it shows 'Text:'. To my understanding, this is a text field which is mapped to pick data from XSD and since the type is text, it gives result in text hence truncating the decimal. Please suggest how can I get decimals here. P.S: This code was created by someone else, so i have no idea on what they had set at that time. I have to fix it and i have no clue about it.

  • highlight parent window text when spell checking from child window

    I'm working on a simple spell checking app for a lecture that I'm giving. I've got the basic spell checking code working just fine using a child form and NHunspell - great lib, by the way. However, I'd like for the parent textbox to show the highlighted text for reference, and while I'm setting the SelectedText properties accordingly, the text is not highlighted in the parent. Canceling the child window and the parent text is highlighted. Anybody know how I can do this?
